For many, a life of peace and solitude, or a place to call their own beckons to adventures after the thrill of adventuring has taken its toll on the bodies and minds of adventurers. For some, that thrill never dies.

Male Human Animal Lord (Wooly, Rhinoceros) Savage barbarian 18

Rorge leaps down from the dragon and shakes the dust from his body, somewhat like a dog shaking off water.

L'os places her hands over the strings of her lyre, effectively still the beautiful tones as she looked warily into the empty city. "Strange..." She set the lyre back in her bag and climbed carefully down off Taisia. Once on the ground and everyone had gotten off Taisia's back L'os focused on the bond, drawing strength and powerful from it and casted an spell of alteration on Taisia.

Cast Alter Self on Taisia, followed by Detect magic and focused on the open gate~

"Empty is it? Quite peculier..."

With everyone off her back and L'os magic surging through her being she
began to shrink down into the size of a mere humanoid. When the spell finished she was sitting on her haunches, as she had been in a way before the spell's casting. With a bone shifting crackle she stood up and rolled her shoulders in an attempt to loosen her changed muscles. Her scaled humanoid body was average in appearance save for rippling muscle, a tail, a short snout and her height. She was nowhere near Shiela's height but she was taller then L'os by a head. A rippling blurring effect kept most of her body out of sight as her bracers of armor worked to protect her and her Amulet of natural armor gave her scales a more rigid look.

She casually walked up behind L'os and took Peacebringer off her back, giving the weapon a twirl before laying it across her shoulders and wrapping her arms over the top in a lazy fashion to hold it in place. She was trying to look non-threatening but she sure as hell wasn't going completely unarmed... "So shall we go in?"

L'os nodded to her companion and followed behind her with her hands completely free and her Haversack clinking as the item's hanging from it swayed with each step.

Unless stopped Taisia and L'os start heading into the city once L'os finishes casting Detect Magic ;)

lvl 17+lycan

Lorelai gently floats to the ground, waits for evryone to disembark, then starts walking just as she is, while unobtrusively looks around with her constant detect magic

Some diec rolls/skill checks if needed~ ;)

Crap! Just failed my perception check.

Doran had luckily jumped down from Taisia's back just before she took on her humanoid form. The thought of him not having done so would have been just a bit awkward. Looking around at his surroundings he smiled it was all very lovely to take in."I wish we were here under different circumstances. There looks to be so much one could learn here." He looked around a bit more remembering not to let his joy of learning knew things overshadow his survival drive. You cant learn anything when you're dead.

Again sorry for not posting in so long

perception: 1d20 + 29 ⇒ (17) + 29 = 46

[Ooc] sorry, forgot to mention that i was on vacation this week, so my posts will be a bit sporadic.[ooc]
L'os concentrates for a moment as she begins to detect fragments of magic. As she continues to concentrate she realizes that the magic is located inside the walls and ever- changing. A mixture of abjuration, illusion, and transmutation effects seem to be in place.

Peering in from outside, all that can be seen is a deserted marketplace.

Male Gnome Oracle 20

Goro also casts detect magic on the wall followed by a spell craft.
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 28 ⇒ (6) + 28 = 34

Andromeda and virgo simply walk up toward the main gates.

if open they enter the city. otherwise they both stop and examine the gates for a means to open them or at least announce their presence.

Andromeda search: 1d20 + 26 ⇒ (3) + 26 = 29
Virgo search: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (5) + 20 = 25

Female Advanced Giant Human (Azlantian) 11 Flowing Quiggong Monk / 7 Swashbuckler Bandit Rogue

Sheila goes and examine the gates too, in case Andromeda and Virgo are having a bit of trouble.

Perception: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (10) + 22 = 32

Taisia grunts, tired of waiting and plows on ahead, despite L'os guarded look in her direction. "Forget this waiting, if they wanted to repel us they would have. I will see you on the otherside!" She strode forward confidently with Peacekeeper across her shoulders.

m Dwarf Cleric/20

Doran takes hold of his focus and holds it close to his chest as he begins to cast a spell. A blue ring would appear on the ground flowed by three more slightly overlapping it. The ring would start to emit a dull light but as he continued the spell it would get steadily brighter. Finally a curtain of sorts would form around the rings on the ground as a sudden nearly blinding flash of light would burst. After the light faded a Pteranodon would now be in it's place standing in the center of the rings.

That's just how I always felt summon creature would look.

Celestial:
"Thanks you for coming at my request my friend. Could you please fly over the wall and report back to me what you see."

Sparky grumbles a bit as he gets woken up and hops on down to the ground, sitting where he lands. Rubbing his eyes and casually observing the others as they tip-toe around the big gate, trying to figure out what to do. Why is everyone so afraid of a door? Its not like going through a door has killed him before. Oh, wait, ya it has... He distinctly remembered a time where he went through one and a guillotine chopped him in half. [i]Well its not like they lead to anywhere dangerous... Except that one time he went through one with a big gleaming rune above and ended up in the plane of fire... That one hurt!

Getting up and scratching his backside he decided that there was no use sitting here when there were titans inside so he goes up to the gate and gingerly pushes on it. If that dosent work he heaves and strains against it with all his little might. Str Check: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9. THEN he looks to see if there is a latch and attempts that.

After/if he makes it inside (and in one piece!) he looks around, Perception Check: 1d20 + 66 ⇒ (15) + 66 = 81. "Where are all the big guys?"

Taisia was moving to enter also. she got tired of waiting lol!

lvl 17+lycan

Is the door even an obstacle?

Other then noting that magic is in the walls (perfectly expected) Lorelai goes through the gate, unless something presents itself to prevent that, or a sign appears to suggest against it.

Male Gnome Oracle 20

Goro walks towards the gate cautiously.

m Dwarf Cleric/20

Yelling at all whom seem to be about simply just walk in through the front gate.

" Stop! I would strongly advise against just walking in the front door!"
After he got their attention he would lower his voice."I highly doubt that they just happened to leave the front entrance unprotected. We must consider this is a world compleatly alien to us, it would stand to reason that there may be spells here beyond our comprehension. Just be patiant and lets do a proper check."

He sighed after that hoping that they would head his warning, but at the same time he wouldent stop them if they did not.

Realistically my guy would have just ignored you and gone in through the gate, especially since I want to advance us beyond "stuck outside the gate" but this gives me a chance to change up my permanent potion, Good by insanely high perception check!

... ARG!! I got just the perfect extract for this, yet it would be better if I kept the perception for it... I guess I will have to change it out a bit later...

Sparky simply shrugs and backpedals away from the gate a dozen feet or so, sits down and rummages through his fanny pack at his waist. Drawing forth an extract and a potion, he drinks one and then the other, causing his eyes to glow and Sparky to look blankly at the ground in front of him. I drank an alchemical allocation and a potion of eagle eye, there is a magical sensor 500 feet above my head that I can see through.
From this vantage point, perception check: 1d20 + 66 ⇒ (6) + 66 = 72

Edit: Note that I can see 360 degrees, can see through foliage and can see "considerable distances" from my vantage point. I imagine I can see quite a lot...

To the casual observer L'os merely clears her throat and suddenly Taisia stops dead in her tracks and back pedal's a few steps. L'os continues her detect magic and checking for what spells protected this gateway...

Taisia grumbles. "Thats not fair... if they wanted us dead they done it already..." L'os clears her throat again and Taisia sighs. "Fine, Fine. Have it your way then." She strides over and sets Peacebringer wooden end down and balances the blade with one hand and leans on L'os in an exaggerated way.

After a few moment's L'os sighs just before Taisia says. "Are you done yet?"

L'os sighs as she tries to determine the magic at work before her...

lvl 17+lycan

Is there a reason so many assumtions are being made? Either the gate is open or closed ( we don't know which) and there may or may not be guards (we don't know which) so until we know those anything else may or may not be a good choice of action. What if the gate is open but guarded? The guards are probably less then happy which with a bunch of loiterers standing around. And while the gate would be protected, it is also possible that the gate remains open to travellers, at least of whatever group has taken over. Also the illusion spell could be one that acts as a veil hiding people on one from those on the other, giving us the illusion of an empty city, while people stand and watch the curious stupidly gawking foreigners.

St. Los, unless you are useing something I didn't catch, you already got what detect magic can tell you (it can only discern the school, not the specific spell) the noticable magic is on the walls and consists of abjuration, illusion, and transmutation.

The biggest problems is that we don't actually know what the results of our actions are as the gm hasn't been here for 2 days. He has said he is away on hollidays so that is fine, but we are kinda stuck on this side of the gate until we hear something.

No I don't have anything else, i'm more or less in a holding pattern and trying to think of what else I can do at this junction. Despite having spells, I have the least amount in the entire group. lol I was however just going to barge in through the gate, I feel it's just gonna scan who comes in but I don't know until we try. But with the DM gone that would make it a long wait of.... Oh you get blasted! Craps!

Male Human Animal Lord (Wooly, Rhinoceros) Savage barbarian 18

Rorge paces impatiently waiting for the group to come to a decision.
If you don't come up with something soon I'm just walking in he growls

Okay, back on my computer with useable wi-fi. Backpacking in the Olympic Rainforest makes it kinda hard to log on... Going to avoid backtracking your guys too much, but it is kinda required because of my absence.

As various individuals attempt to push against the gate, they each quickly find that the gate seems to be move and give way as if it was made of some kind of gelatinous material. With a small bit of effort, it seems as if one could just simply walk through the material unimpeded.

kind of anti-climatic, but only because of my inability to log-in. Sorry guys. >.<

Taisia gives a humph sound and presses on, pushing her way through the gelatinous material, followed by L'os who makes sure all her items are strapped firmly into place. "You really need some clothes... We're about to enter the city."

Giving her companion another humph she responded lightly. "I prefer my scales, besides clothing is too constricting..."

Male Gnome Oracle 20

Goro follows behind L'os. unless she dies or something when she enters the gate. :)

L'os, Taisia, and Goro make their way through the gelatinous material serving as the gate. The passage is not long or difficult. Once on the other side they do not feel any adverse effects or reactions.

However, upon entering, it is quickly obvious that the city is much more 'lively' than it appeared. The streets are crowded with people and creatures of all sizes and races (some known by few and seen by fewer). Up ahead from the entrance is a bustling market place with densely packed bazaars.

"Ooooohhh! Where are the titans! Where are the titans! Where are the titans!"
Sparky bounds up and down, then takes off and runs up to the first stall he finds, picking up whatever big red shiny thing he finds first examining it.
"Can I eat this?"

Oops. Looks like I better explain a bit. I would have been the first to try the door, so I should be on the other side as well :) That stuff about the eagle eye probably wouldnt have happened then, so ignore that part.

Male Human Animal Lord (Wooly, Rhinoceros) Savage barbarian 18

Rorge walks in without thinking about it hoping to find a good fight soon.

eventually Andromeda and Virgo make thier way through the Jello.

is it strawberry?

Once inside seeing the busy streets appears the protections make the place look deserted when it is not

looking at Virgo Stay close I don't to loose you in this crowd. especially if I need your assitance

trying to take note of any oddities in the people, also what kind of currency they use. also trying to note if they are recieving any undue attention

perception Virgo: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (12) + 20 = 32

yay for strawberry gelatin!
I look around the city after going through the gate myself.
perception: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (15) + 22 = 37

Sorry, the jello is flavorless, and probably inedible. =P Also, the titans are there, but so are alot of other races.

"That is a Sunstone, and it is not meant for eating!" says a rather upset small, plant-like fey creature with wings to Sparky.

Knowledge(Nature):DC 15:
The seller talking to Sparky is a Gathlain

As Andromeda, Virgo, and Sheila look around, they see many races of people that are easily recognizeable, including what could be the titans. There appears to be no humans, though many races with vague resemeblances to humans. The bazaar shops seem to mostly use a bartering system, though some raw and worked metals and coin are also in use. Both also notice that the group is not receiving any attention more than a fleeting glance - such as one's eyes gazing over a crowd at random.

I'm still around just nothing really eventful to add.

"Can I eat it anyways? An your a Geth correct? This is an odd forest for fey plant mishmash. I lived in a forest once. Long ago... Bad forest, forget that! Ohhh! Can I eat that over there??"
He indicates another trinket that is most obviously not ment to be eaten.
Feel free to describe what it is I am pointing at ^-^

But thats only worse case senario, I dont think the game is quite dead yet, give it more time :)

I'm still here just waiting for something to happen.

lvl 17+lycan

Im here, just a hectic week for me. Not enough sleep.

Lorelai wanders the bazaar keeping close to the dragon and listening to the languages and watching how the people interact, particularly looking for lines of social division. Also remaining wary, and checks for any illusions.

Now that you are all in the city (easy part), the mission is to find Kazimierz's people. To do this, you are going to have to gather information- just carefully.

First grabbing the intricately carved, wooden dove before trying to scoop up as many of its wares as it can, the the Gathlain angrily tells Sparky, "Perhaps you would enjoy some of the shops further down. There should be plenty to eat."

As Lorelai wanders the bazaars nearest to her friends, she begins to notice that only rarely will creatures use differing languages. The majority of all conversations appear to be in the common tongue of Golarion, excluding some weird accents and vernaculars. While concentrating on magic auras, no major sorts of magic can be detected in the area; though, there do seem to be some magical wares for sell.

"But I like this shop! You have lots of tasty looking things! Are you going somewhere? Here, let me help you! Sparky says as he scoops up another item or two, clearly enjoying pestering the shopkeeper.
"I'm Snarky! What's your name? Can we be friends? I like you, you got funny wings."

The scared little gathlain grabs the table cloth and rips it down with all of its remaining wares.

"Please go away! I... I... I'll call The Golden Hand!" it screams as it hides underneath its booth.

Female Advanced Giant Human (Azlantian) 11 Flowing Quiggong Monk / 7 Swashbuckler Bandit Rogue

Please excuse me for not posting in a while. I had to fix my desktop which resulted in a full system restore to factory settings... Which then resulted in losing most of my files. It's a good thing that I saved my profile through Dropbox. It's such a lifesaver...

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (13) + 20 = 33
Sheila walks over to Sparky then looks at the both of them. She kneels down and attempts to calm the Gathlain down. "Greetings. Please don't be frightened, Sparky here just likes shiny things. My name's Sheila. Do you know of anyone who are friends of Kazimierez? We are here on business with them. I don't want you to call up this 'Golden Hand' you speak of."

Intimidate vs Sparky: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (19) + 20 = 39
She then turns to look at sparky and whispers to him and playfully give him a noogie at the same time, "I don't want you to piss off any more locals here with your obsession to shiny things, otherwise you'll have to meet my fists with your face, you hear?"

She then turns to look at the shopkeeper again with a kind smile on her face in an attempt to gather some information after she asks her question.
Diplomacy to Gather Information: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (12) + 20 = 32

"Kazi- what? I don't know of anyone by that name. Do you know where he is from or what goods he deals in? I am sure that you could find his friends much easier if you know what kind of shop you are looking for," says the sheepish gathlain to Sheila as he slowly begins to peak over the top of the table.

m Dwarf Cleric/20

Doran scratches his head as he looks about taking the bazaar all in. This was not at all what he was expecting, not after what they had been briefed this did however answer a question for him of what he needs to find to get information.

Celestial:
Aulra tell me hows this sounds. Judging by the seemingly content nature of everyone around us, not to mention our early briefing. Would it be too much of a leap to assume something more is going on here, perhaps a hidden oppression? An even if there isn't one there are sure to be conspiracy theorist, or at lest someone against the local regime. I think would should head to the bar sit and listen for various conversations. They may point us in the right direction."
