The grey dragon appeared to have forgotten about her, all to her advantage anyway. With a roar she charged out of the alleyway and bowled into the grey dragon with a rib cracking impact. Before the dragon could respond she bit into its side and savaged it with her fangs intending to end it completely for the death's of the innocent it had a hand in this day.

Charge -2 AC +2 Attack
Bite: 1d20 + 26 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 26 + 1 + 2 = 45
Damage?: 3d8 + 12 ⇒ (8, 4, 8) + 12 = 32

Taisia, feeling the healing power of the symbol flow through her, stood her ground and activated the ring that bound her and L'os together as she watched her rider face off with the beastly grey dragon that had injured her earlier. As L'os buried three more arrows into its hide she hung on to hope that her Rider may come out of this struggle uninjured...

Standard Action - Activate Ring of Friend Shield on herself, which means L'os will be receiving her future damage.

Taisia looked at L'os with a sad look moving as bidden back into the ally way to react the symbol.

1x Move back to ally, double if needed.

She reached one claw up and touched it too the symbol, hoping the they could get some extra aid...

Taisia growled, they weren't finding anything on the streets. Not one to waste time she tugged on L'os clothing and whispered. "Perhaps we should get back with the others and see if they found anything as we aren't getting anywhere. Besides you've been playing all day..."

dunno he hasn't posted at all since he introduced himself to Taisia. Hopefully my response didn't scare him off lol. it was all ic >.>;

Giving her companion another humph she responded lightly. "I prefer my scales, besides clothing is too constricting..."

Taisia grumbles. "Thats not fair... if they wanted us dead they done it already..." L'os clears her throat again and Taisia sighs. "Fine, Fine. Have it your way then." She strides over and sets Peacebringer wooden end down and balances the blade with one hand and leans on L'os in an exaggerated way.

After a few moment's L'os sighs just before Taisia says. "Are you done yet?"

Taisia was moving to enter also. she got tired of waiting lol!

Taisia grunts, tired of waiting and plows on ahead, despite L'os guarded look in her direction. "Forget this waiting, if they wanted to repel us they would have. I will see you on the otherside!" She strode forward confidently with Peacekeeper across her shoulders.

"Empty is it? Quite peculier..."

With everyone off her back and L'os magic surging through her being she
began to shrink down into the size of a mere humanoid. When the spell finished she was sitting on her haunches, as she had been in a way before the spell's casting. With a bone shifting crackle she stood up and rolled her shoulders in an attempt to loosen her changed muscles. Her scaled humanoid body was average in appearance save for rippling muscle, a tail, a short snout and her height. She was nowhere near Shiela's height but she was taller then L'os by a head. A rippling blurring effect kept most of her body out of sight as her bracers of armor worked to protect her and her Amulet of natural armor gave her scales a more rigid look.

She casually walked up behind L'os and took Peacebringer off her back, giving the weapon a twirl before laying it across her shoulders and wrapping her arms over the top in a lazy fashion to hold it in place. She was trying to look non-threatening but she sure as hell wasn't going completely unarmed... "So shall we go in?"

L'os nodded to her companion and followed behind her with her hands completely free and her Haversack clinking as the item's hanging from it swayed with each step.

Unless stopped Taisia and L'os start heading into the city once L'os finishes casting Detect Magic ;)

Taisia gives a grunt at the unfriendly look of the walls, knowing only that there had to be several types of magical protection and probably summoning spells in place to bring up a quick and brutal defense. Her feelings were easily communicated across the bond and wordlessly the two conferred with one another as to how they were going to approach the city.

Taisia has a fly speed of 70ft so we should arrive quickly lol :)

Taisia chuckled, L'os could play it cool all she wanted but the Taisia knew she was feeling the heat. Maybe not as much as the Gnomes but it was obvious from the rapid change of clothes. "More hospitable... Probably." Her change of focus was a welcome relief from the goblin sleeping among her horns, she had barely restrained a roar at the sudden multitude of goblins running amok on her head earlier. Thankfully it had been a short lived illusion, as the dwarf climber on she turned her head back towards the city. "Goblin's are mad little beasts..."

She was mixed parts of eager and wary to be off to the city. She would have to do her best to protect L'os and hoped that this mission wouldn't be full of too many peril's.

Land before time reference! And I have just dated myself..... Loved that show as a kid. :)

L'os and Taisia turn down any potions of endure element, wishing only for them to be saved for later.

That is unless I am mistaken~ But L'os has fire 30 resistance and Taisia is immune to fire so I always assumed that would equal heat resistance. I will check the SRD to make sure i'm not completely wrong~

Taisia grimaces, her stoic attitude crumbling as she realizes to her horror that the goblin on her head was an alchemist.....

She hated alchemists, she was turned orange once by an enemy of L'os when he slipped his alchemical poison's into what he believed was L'os's dinner. Her muzzle contorted as she shook her head in an attempt to shake the cursed little cretin off her head."Don't you dare spill another drop or so help me I'll..!" She stopped when she heard L'os laugh and turned her massive head around to look at her balefully. "Don't laugh, it was meant for you and I don't relish another six months of bright orange scales... again."

Akin to how a cat reacts to a sudden itch running up its back Taisia wasn't able to focus on what L`os was saying as she shivered from the feeling of the little goblin running up her backside. When he perched himself atop her head she grumbled. "The things I have to put up with..."

Then with little rhyme or reason L'os chuckled and waved show her head as she continued to play the lyre. "No Taisia you'll just have to put up with it for now. Sorry dear."

Taisia grumbled under her breath. "Your no fun..." She flicked her head to get the gobo's attention. "Don't get too comfortable up there and no nest building either..."

Taisia held herself back from roaring into the empty arid air. "Tis splendid! The northland was far too cold for my scales this was what we needed! The thermal's will be quite strong and a worth challenge. As will be that city there~"

She turned her great head back to eye L'os as she felt a shift in the music and chuckled. Her rider's clothing had become a little more open, on the verge of revealing too much. Yet somehow it retained a colorful and vibrant look to it. "A little too warm for you then eh?"

L'os merely nodded as she continued playing the Lyra a small smile playing across her lips.

Taisia turned from her teasing and eyed the metropolis in the distance, almost warily as she considered all of Kaz's warnings about what they were to face...

If needed
Perception 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (11) + 18 = 29

With a rumbling laugh emanating from the center of her powerful chest, Taisia tips her horns at Loralai in acceptance to her gracious offer. "HA! Best I do so, lest I step on someone. Except for you Sheila at least your easier to spot underfoot~ Are you coming L'os or planning on walking?"

Taisia remained stoic although she couldn't help but wonder why someone would be so eager to help her. A near intangible field of force started to swirl over her scales after L'os finished her quiet prayer. The last of their items were with them now and they were prepared to move forward. Looking to Start she set her claw down on the rough stone floor and nodded in acknowledgement of his offer. "If I need to I will, thanks."

"I agree, lets see what the land above looks like." She couldn't hide the eagerness in her loud booming voice as she had yet to travel to other worlds in her long life and looked forward to the adventure ahead.

Still trying to fix up my cha sheet but just for reference. Taisia is not large she is gargantuan. So she is really big. ;) Also the shapechanger was pointed at Sparky lol as three people are talking to her xD

Taisia nods, understanding Sheila's words as best she could. "Not silly at all, I was surprised to meet one as tall as you are without you being a giant. It is very nice not to have to look at my claws every time someone speaks to me." L'os stifled a chuckle before Taisia started speaking again. "It does help keep unwanted people off our property though..."

Taisia was still amazed at the taller human, Sheila. "Oh they must breed you all pretty large back in your homeland." She noted L'os finding her words humorous but it was true. This woman was the tallest human she ever laid eyes on.

When the man approached her she became a little guarded before finally extending one of her large claws and shook hands with him. "Nice to meet you and you are?"

As she waited for an answer she turned toward the goblinoid and shook his hand as well. "Shapeshifter eh? Interesting, nice to meet you."

A careful read of these three archetypes suggest they might be usable together, since none of the hexcrafter's hex choices or the dancer's extra arcana actually REPLACE any magus arcana and the card caster doesn't touch any altered features. Perhaps it's ambiguity of wording, but as far as I can see, the features seem to have overlaps that provide things without actually altering or removing overlapping features. Viability of the combination aside, would this almost mythical class be legal RAW?

Evening comes to Skyridge, and with it, the familiar howl of the winter winds. The Welcome district bustles with activity. Farmers pull their livestock into shelter and cover their crops to shield them from the cold; families begin warming coal in their firepits. Halfling laborers scramble to finish scouring the streets of snow and filth, hoping to retreat to the undercarriage to stay warm among the pipes before the sun vanishes beneath the horizon once more. Skyknights bring their massive eagles in to roost above the rooftops, dropping their canvas curtains over their nests and securing them against the wind to block the coming chill.

Amidst the hustle and bustle, a lone halfling, dressed in two and a half layers of thick cloth, appearing to all the world like a tiny brown yeti, dashes down the streets, rapidly scanning the populace and looking back down to a small scroll in his hands. his eyes light up as he spots his quarry, dashing up to you with a folded letter in his hands.

"Here you go, sir! Read immediately, and stay warm!" he chirps out excitedly, before scurrying off to return to his rounds.

The letter bears a grey wax seal in the shape of three talons. Breaking the seal, you see only a brief message:

You have been deceived. I can show you the truth. Go to the Mithral Pick at sundown. Show the innkeeper the seal. Your table is waiting.

The letter is unsigned. The sun hangs lazily above the horizon; sunset will occur for the welcome district within the hour.

Where are you now, and what do you do?

I've recently attempted to start a PBP campaign here on the threads, and after running into difficulties figuring out how to do so, I've noticed there's little to no actual info on how to do this correctly. There MUST be a way somewhere, as I've seen countless PBP's and participated in several; I simply cannot find documentation on how this is done.

Since this is a feedback section, I would suggest revising the site to make this process a little more apparent, or just sticky some instructions somewhere...

male human...sort of.

It's high time I made a discussion thread, since I'm fairly certain everyone's got things in the works. This is the primary thread for out of character chat, rules questions, off-topic talk, and anything that isn't your in-game action or my in-game response as DM.

Welcome, one and all, to the paizo forums, to your first play-by-post campaign, and to my world...

This thread is intended as an interest check for members of the Art Institute of Houston's Gaming Evolution League, and for members of the Path of Frost gaming clan (SURPRISE!) More information and rules will follow, as I want everyone to have a chance to get acquainted with this format, but first, a taste of what's to come...

Introduction:
Mount Kharon is a desolate mountain range named for its former owner, a tyrannous red dragon who single handedly brought dragonkind to extinction and forced the mortal races to choose between unwavering servitude or death by merciless winter. Though Kharon lies dead, slain by a forgotten champion, the damage has been done. The grip of endless frost has begun to lift...but the world is still a cold place.

The mortal races, however, are not so easily broken, and in the wake of Kharon's death, have not only recovered, but begun to thrive. On the very slopes of Kharon's mountain lair they have built a new settlement. it is a momunent to the ingenuity and tenacity of a united people. It is a place of innovation and security for a now isolated populace. Surrounded by the savage nomads of the Bloodspire Orc tribes in the plains below, and faced with the lingering remains of a centuries-long winter brought on by the arrogance of the world's last dragon, the people of this forward-thinking town have adapted to survive.

This is Skyridge.

Between the technological and arcane developments of the ingenious Cloudseekers, the blessings of the druidic Circle of Stone, the shrewd Dwarves of the Brewbane clan, and the bold tenacity of the recently established Skyknights, Skyridge has become a bastion of civilization in a world struggling to shake off the chill of the grave. Its people now challenge the death throes of a tyrannous ice age with a lofty goal: To reclaim the sky for mortalkind and take to the clouds.

This is your home.

you are among the people of Skyridge. You've grown up sharing their dream, chasing it in your own way...and that dream is in jeopardy.

Caravans to and from the Algolian Garrison below are being ambushed with more ferocity than ever before; the military escorts the crown provides are no longer enough. Imported supplies are becoming scarce. Crucial research projects are being sabotaged. The coal pulled from the mountain is barely sufficient to fight the frigid peak winds. Food is disappearing. New monsters are emerging from the mountains, pinning the people between old foes and new threats.

Worst of all, hushed rumors abound of a dire secret unearthed within Kharon's mountain tomb. Though the dragonlord lies dead and buried, his lair remains largely unexplored; cave-ins stymie the progress of tunnelers, traps threaten would-be explorers, and subterranean denizens prowl the caverns for warm-blooded prey. Some hope that warmth and wealth can be found among the remains of the killer of dragonkind, but none doubt the lingering dread emanating from within...

Will you be the flame that carries your peoples' dream forward, or will you--and the dream--succumb to the cold?

As this is a preliminary interest check, all I ask at this point is for those interested to create their Paizo account and create a messageboard alias. I will provide help with the process for all who need it. Once sufficient interest is expressed, I will add further information and character creation rules.

Hope you're not afraid of heights...

After all sorts of meandering around the PRD and having a few goof-off sessions with some buddies over ventrilo, I figured it's time to go ahead and sign up for PFS and see what I'm missing.

I'm somewhat experienced with RPG's in general, having had a sampling of a few different games, and a chance to read rulebooks for several more; I haven't had near as many opportunities to game as I'd like. I've enjoyed the Pathfinder rules and would love to see a regular group spring up in my area, or, if its more practical, I frequent a ventrilo server that would welcome new voices and more games.

Since my experience is mostly book knowledge at this point with some practical understanding of what I feel is good roleplay, I haven't had much opportunity to work on my DM skills and would relish the chance to see new DMs and learn from their styles. I have some homebrew campaigns in the works, but it's all rough at this point; some hands-on game time will definitely help the gears turn and fill in the gaps, so to speak. I'd be willing to step up and DM some casual sessions, but if someone wants to run the game, I'll gladly roll up fresh.

Feel free to PM for more info; there's plenty of room on the vent server, and I'm home often to answer messages. Looking forward to some good game time.
