Unanticipated connectivity issues fixed. I'm back.
Sclivian notes the fleeing tiefling, fully expecting some response. He dismisses the Grease to give the other rebels a chance to take position on the stairs. He pulls out a blank paper and his quill, ready to write another Summon Monster I contract.
But then another thought comes to mind...
What floor are we on? Is there a window overseeing the main entrance?

Yes, there are many windows in here. Unfortunately they're all grimed up and nigh impossible to see through with any clarity. This is the ground floor and what looks to be the only floor in this temple other than what might have been a basement the tieflign fled down.

Pollux |

Pollux rests his head on his interlocked fingers and smiles steadily at the remaining bastard.
The tiefling begins noticing flickers at the edge of their vision. They become aware of edges. It is as if there are tiny gaps where object meets object. Nothing no-thing is predictable and stable. Judging distance becomes more and more difficult.
Misfortune hex dc 15.

Tok smashes the Tieflings face in as Caldazars morningstar caves in his chest cavity. His internal organs and brain rendered into a chunky milkshake substance the Tiefling decides that now would be a good time to pass into Pharasma's realm and does so. It is likely hsi soul did so by escaping through non-euclidean geometry.
Out of intiative now.
The sound of the tiefling calling for aid is gone adn you are left standing in the abandoned temple.

![]() |

Sclivian shakes his head as he invokes his contract, and a holy, glowing hawk appears.
"We press the advantage now!
Sclivian joins Caldazar in descending the stairs, sending the hawk down first.

TarkXT |

Pressing the advantage the group boldly descends the staircase after the escaping tiefling. The first door you come to is carved in much the same way that the art is decorated upstairs with images of the hunt and fields on it reads.
“Praise and thanks to those who spent their lives in service to Erastil their work strengthens us all.”
Passing through it you enter an old looking crypt where you are faced with two doors. One off to your left and another straight ahead. Both are closed.

Caldazar |

Waving a hand to gather attention, Caldazar points at the door then opens and closes his mouth in pseudo talking to try and indicate what he heard without speaking. He'll then prepare to attempt to open the door (after people are in whatever position they want to be).

TarkXT |

You open the door and your light buzzes over a pack of tieflings loading their crossbows as you burst through the door. Behind them you see what is clearly a dessicated creature wrapped like a mummy. It points towards you adn hisses. "Kill the intruderrsssss"

The cramped quarters give Sclivian an idea. "Fire! Or smoke! Do we have anything to burn it all in here?"
He then quickly adds, "Section 14(b), Paragraph (c): Moral arguments for suffering shall not apply in this case!" He reaches out to touch Tok on the shoulder, and readies his crossbow.
Cast Protection from Evil on Tok.

Pollux |

@Merax: Unfortunately theres a stone wall between you and that tiefling there. So you may want to rethink your action.
I sincerely hope Pollux and Tok did not get eaten by the hurricane.
Still here, on vacation in Canada. Wi-fi is proving harder to find than expected.
If Merax moves then I will move to his spot and cast sleep targeting -B,23 which should fill the room nicely.
"Do you make the bargain?" Pollux asks as a stream of black threads issues from the palm of his raised hand. The threads lance into the trieflings and the undead. Those that succumb faint where they stand.
A faint 'yes'on their lips.[/b]
If I cannot get in position then I will cast resistance on tok.
Tok has a vision lasting only for a split second. He is deep underground in a large cavern. Floating in the middle of the cavern is an apparently human child. It is dressed all in gray and it's hands and feet are tightly bound. It is looking away from Tok but it's body is rotating. In a moment Tok will see its eyes. Tok feels his body and mind stiffen as more of the childs face is revealed. He sees the corner of its eye and the vision abruptly fades.

TarkXT |

Even flatfooted the tieflings easily dodge out of the way of the large mens assault. Tok steps forward but finds no avenue of attack and awaits an oppurtunity to strike.
Pollux spells prove so effective in inducing sleep the sleepless mummy curses and falls into a deep slumber.
The remaining Tiefligns descend on caldazar adn start to beat him senseless 8damage
Group is up once more!

Meraxilar Zoon |

"Be carried by the Tide of Fangs, Brave Caldazar, so that you may unmake your enemies."
Merax casts a curative on Caldazar.
CLW: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Caldazar, you go before me. If you back up into the alcove at B25 (assuming it's an alcove), I can heal you then use my move action to step in front of you and act as a meat shield.

Caldazar |

Feeling the diametric opposition of the blow's pain as well as the healing rush, Caldazar bares his teeth and strikes back.
Morningstar: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14 for 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8 At demon head in A,24 - then 5ft step into alcove at B,25

![]() |

"Memo to myself: add the summoning of hellfire to my portfolio."
Sclivian sighs as he loads his crossbow and looks for a target, bodies very much in the way.
5' step to C24, fire at A24
Attack: 1d20 - 6 ⇒ (3) - 6 = -3
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 8

Pollux |

"Where is your mother horned men? We were hoping for some tea."
Evil eye on Demon-man dc 15 -2 saves 1 or 7 rounds.
The strange tiefling is struck by the thought, as he sees the injury he just inflicted fade away, that what is on the inside of a thing is very different that which is on the outside. But we cannot know what is inside without making it outside. His attention turns inward, searching for something real in himself, he finds nothing.

TarkXT |

Sorry for not catching this earlier I was ready to put up a post with all the eactions when I saw Caldazar was trinyg to shift into a sqaure currently occupied by a large stone sarcophagus. Sorry you can't shift to it. You can regularly move with a climb or acrobatics check DC 5 to get on it but it counts as a move action.

TarkXT |

Deftly dodging the rain of blows from the tieflings clubs caldazar hops on the sarcophagus to give the ace swinging lumberjack room. Tok moves in behind him and plants a blow squarely in an unsuspecting tiefling's groin who keels over in pain clearly just hanging on to consciousness. Pollux's revelation takes hold and the tiefling in front of merixilar falls into a deep depression whom he takes out on meraxilar. 5 damage
The rest fire or shoot ineffectually.
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25
A part of you clicks on the inside as Meraxilar gives his oath and fills you with healing energies. For a moment it doesn't feel as if you are being healed. Rather it feels as if the pain and injury is simply being unmade. It is a very odd feeling. Worse, you think you know what kind of god would grant such power and what kind of priest would make such an odd oath. A priest of Rovagug, the unmaker, and eternal enemy of the gods. Odder still is that he has not provided a holy symbol of his faith like a normal priest would.

Caldazar |

Hopefully I can attack from my precarious perch
Caldazar swings once more with gusto at the horned one.
Morningstar: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7 for 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Though some troublesome thoughts start to surface also The Rough Beast! I should be wary of this one, though he seems to fight with us for now? What are his future intentions...

Pollux |

Sorry, kidnapped by bicycling accordianists. Long story.
Round 2?
Demon-man evil eye -2 saves 2 of 7 rounds.
Pollux continues to stare silently at the Demon-man.
The demon-man parries a blow from Caldazar. He stares in facination at the point the weapons touch. He realizes there is a line between himself and that point, that there is a line from that point through him and to the ground he is standing on, that there is a continious surface from his weapon over him across the floor and ceiling of the room and up and out and...For a moment he is lost in contemplation in the simple fact that he shares the same outside with everything in the world. This of course plays havoc with his timing.
Evil eye -2 ac dc 15 1 or 7 rounds.

TarkXT |

With an absolutely crushing blow that tiefling is rent to pieces as Merax's axe comes down on his foe. Caldazar moves in through the carnage and swings his mace into one of the tieflings who dodges it deftly. Pollux focuses his bizzare gaze on another tiefling who fails his save and finds himself open to assault. Tok continues to beat the everliving snot out of the tiefling with gentle caresses of wind. The tieflings attempt to respond in kind and poorly.
Group is up once more!
Map is unchanged save there is a caldazar where the demon man was. The demon man is now dead. The one at the top left that's not asleep is affected by pollux's hex.
