Not sure how far the magic darkness extends. Or is it gone. Or have I just been exposed to to many mold spores and paint fumes?
The tiefling attacking Tal hears a strange piping from far, far behind him. Along with the sound comes a feeling of presence. Something is here, watching him. He glances over his shoulder but sees nothng and the anxiety grows. His distraction opens avenues for Tals little axe.

Caught unawares by the surprising move the tiefling made on him, Tal feels the sharp bite of the attack as his blood starts to flow. Lashing back in anger, Tal puts force behind his blow only to see the axe fail to connect at all.

With a terrified cry Meraxilars victim is cut in half. His upper body soars towards the ceiling trailing behind a string of small intestine as Meraxilar watches the destruction wrought by his axe unfold. The body falls to the ground and the tiefling briefly stares at his own legs reaching towards them before the mercy of unconsciousness and death finally overtakes him.
Caldazar's foe fares batter taking the hit to the chest and growling angrily.
Some whooshing sounds are made by the badguys as Pollux's hex sticks to the enemy reducing his armor class.

Caldazar
Irked by Merax's constant niggling, Caldazar reaches deep into his gullet and calls upon the bestial tongue of the devils. (Infernal)
Bid dat jy is die bastard seun wat sterf en leef nie vir die afrekening. Diegene uitgevoer lewe van die veld is, sal hul manlikheid aan hulle gevoer voordat hy verwurg is deur hul eie ingewande.:
"Pray that you are the bastard son that dies and does not live for the reckoning. Those carried alive from the field will have their manhood fed to them before being strangled by their own intestines."
Morningstar: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10 for 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Though all this talking makes hard work of hitting anything.....
The words sound not as a song but as a funereal dirge, growing in intensity as Caldazar sprays verbally.
Intimidate: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27 More for Merax's benefit than any tangible mechanical effect.
Tal Bernard Mainz
Hearing the chanting coming from behind him, Tal wonders what new monstosity awaits for them. Glancing behind, he sees Pollux is the one chanting. At the end of the chant Tal turns in time to see the Tiefling's head spin round looking behind him. Taking the opportunity to attack the distracted for, Tal buries his axe deep into the soft flesh of his adversary.

Thanks Pollux for the help.
If the tiefling drops, tal will move behind Caldazar.

Enjoying Caldazar's dirge (despite not understanding it), Merax attempts to match his next swing (Tiefling in H28) to the intensity of it while adding his own verse in Abyssal. "Jux maz'Korex narg eeyaros, Tiefwretchnorz!"

Tal, future note use of evil eye has no vivible or audible effect for anyone other than the target. You just see Pollux acting strange and staring over the Tieflings shoulder.
tarkxt Not sure who Pollux can see right now because of the summoned darkness eating both the magic light and the sunrod.
Pollux catches the eye over the spitting sunrod. It feels a momentary gust of freezing wind. It passes quickly but the Tiefling feels it has taken something away. Misfortune dc 15 1 round
Pollux will hand the sun rod to Castor and grope forward into the darkness. Finding either Merax or Caldazar, pollux will cast guidence on them. +1 to any 1 d20 roll
When Pollux brushed your sholder you suddenly were able to see colours in the darkness. Not-pink, not-blue, and not-purple swim together like the sheen on a sosp bubble. You cannot see your target but the darkness no longer seems as threatening.
TarkXT
@Sclivian: I think Caldazar's intimidate was more for effect then actual intimidation which he wouldn't be able to attack if he did. So if you'd like to change your action you may.
@Pollux: Pollux can barely see Caldazar and Meraxilar as his lihgt is suppressed into a dim glow. You can target the tieflings adjacent to them. The sunrod's light immediately ends jsut 10 feet south of Tal.

Tals axe connects hard across the armored tiefling who burst through the wall and he grunts in pain as he retaliates in kind roaring through Pollux's luck curse and taering into you despite the madmans....madness. 6 damage It seems the battle between you is getting interesting.
To the south the twin forces of chaos miss their marks as the two tieflings lunge again and one manages to drive his short sword deep into meraxilars side. 7 damage The Tiefling whispers in Infernal to Meraxilar. "Sing to me then a pain of your death..."

By Gorum this devil of a creature hits hard. I may need some help on this. With this thought, Tal attempts to finish this problematic foe before he himself is finished.
power attack 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21 dam 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
As he feels his axe bite deeply into the armor reaching the soft tissue underneath, he hopes that this is the end of this opponent.
If the tiefling is finished, he will drop his axe on its weapon cord and draw a healing potion. Also take a 5ft step to L,28.
Thanks Pollux for the clarification on your hexes. I thought they were spell=like with the accompanying verbal components.
Caldazar
Continuing his verbal and martial assault on the tiefling before him. He does not sing but draws eye contact and spits the following invective in Infernal:
Before swinging his morningstar at the devil's trunk.
Morningstar: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13 for 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Yeah, the Intimidate was just for effect so Merax can know how 'scary' I am. Takes at least a standard action to get any tangible effect in combat unfortunately :(

How dare you call my mother a marmot! Have at thee knave!
Tal finnally lands a lethal blow on the digging Tiefling. Drving his axe deep into his neck it gurgles and spits angrily before falling over in a gout of blood.
Caldazar's insults have no weight as his weapon falls on shadows and nothing ness. Meraxilars own blow is thrown aside as the tiefling painfully twists as he pulls the blade out causing the priests blow to swing wide. Their short swords scrape against armor.

Striking a stirring pose he saw used in the opera house Pollux declaims.
"From the east they come, the minions of darkness, and in the west a great door opens promising mystery and death. Woe woe our merry band of killers."
Is there enough room to enlarge Tal. Every Pollux-Tal interaction seems filled with innundo. Or maybe it's the cheese.
Pollux
"What now?"
"..."
"Really? It is too small?"
"..."
"All right then, if you say so..."
"Tal, Castor says Merax is right and it is too small. So we are lending a hand."
Cast enlarge person on Tal. 20 rounds remaing.
Tal spares little attention to the mumbling behind him and is suprisied by the wave of vertigo that overcomes him. For a moment he sees his left hand as a great pincher and his right as a collection of fleshy tubes. As his vision clears he notices the tunnel seems tighter, Merax and Caldazar seem smaller, and his axe seems huge.

It's a full round. Seesh let me tell ya teaching this gormless here is like gnawing through concrete. If it weren't for the cheese I'd.....

Note to self, after this place is cleared out buy some cheese for Castor. At least he knows what is going on and is the brains of the group. Keep the mastermind happy.

Ok Tal roll for sanity. Takes a round for the enlarge person to take effect so Tal might want to wait to take his turn until after Pollux. Positions are assuming this.
Sclivian takes a look down the tunnel the tiefling burst from and sees a tunnel winding towards the south parallel to the tunnel you are following now.
Caldazar's and Meraxilar's valiant efforts at trash talk and combat continue to prove in vain as they miss their marks yet again. As Tal advances Pollux comments about the size of his armanents and decides to give him a hand...at least it's not a touch spell
Meanwhile something from the left of Caldazar barks out in a dusty voice reminiscent of tombs.
The Tieflings withdraw with wry smiles on their faces as a rain of crossbow fire comes from the darkness and clatter and clank around you. The sound of spell casting can be heard and Tal feels his mind being invaded by something other than Pollux. It is invasive, penetrative, and forces friendliness upon you. Will DC 14 or be charmed
As Out of the darkness to the right coming down the stairs sword upraised is a stern looking half elf with his sword glowing with light. Think there's been some confusion. The spellcasting is coming from the west of caldazar. Sorry. I was thinking "my left" when I typed it. HAve adjusted moves to reflect that for expediency. Also the tiefling at H29 is very much already dead what with his body being in two pieces. Skulls represent corpses.
As the massive Tal pushes forward he spots a tiefling illuminated by Meraxilar. With a heavy blow he strikes the tiefling down before it has a chance to retaliate. The rest do not fare as well not hitting their marks.
Not getting any answers but not seeing any reason to hesitate Arael steps forward and casts a spell to bolster your assault and fill you with courages bless: +1 on attack rolls and saving throws versus fear
The tieflings strike back tryign to brin down the massive warrior and a crossbow bolt manages to strike the massive Tal hard 13 damage.

Tark, can we tell where the darkness effect is coming from, like a weapon or something else we can cover and hide to get rid of the darkness?
Originally the darkness came from a tiefling who cast it on hsi crossbow. Unfortunately it seems now the effect is covering the whole room suggesting multiple effects (i.e. our new friends using rounds to cast them) and in the previous nonmagical darkness it would be difficult to nigh impossible to pinpoint all the darkness effects without some form of detection magic.
