Actually it's an even more amazing spell for the Arcane bloodline. After being toe-to-toe with a spellcaster, he can't just 5-ft step then cast without incurring the Disruptive bloodrage power (and later Disruptive, Combat Reflexes and Spellbreaker feats). Tharkan is designed to be a caster slayer.

I've had a death in the family, I do not know the schedule. I don't think it will affect my posting much, but I wanted to make sure everyone knew if I miss a day or something.

![]() |

Oh, hey... can you use a GM reroll on a day job? Seems unlikely I'll need it for anything else.
perform with GM stars: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (20) + 13 = 33
...well, that would be the most desirable result! Wow!
Well, looking at campaign version 6 I don't see anything specifically forbidding it.

Back from the hospital here. I'm sorry for your loss, James. Take any amount of time necessary, of course.
As for Tharkan, he doesn't have a day job (yet). I might take a rank or two in Profession (dungeon chef) next level though!

No djob, thanks for running! 22357-30
Yeah, real life bid-ness > pbp. Best of luck, man; do what you gotta do.

Tharkan has taken 1 rank in Profession (cook)! Now he won't just eat the things he kill raw, but he'll cook them... and offer them for you to taste! How can you refuse him? ;)

I think cannibalism is one of those things that Mike Brock highly suggests is an evil action and the writing staff tends to agree, thus why its almost entirely nonlegal and they seem go try to. Urgathoa and a few Goblin traits are good for that. Digging through Faiths/Champions of Corruption might turn something up.

Oh, sure. Evil weevil certainly (although you can find real-life examples of various groups practicing cannibalism in various capacities for spiritual/metaphysical reasons. And then there is Heroes...) But, it's worth a shot looking for something anyways :)

Xenon's remark makes me think that I haven't asked how youguys felt about the whole "eat everything" stuff with Tharkan. If that's a problem for anyone, please let me know and I'll tone it down/find another roleplaying angle.

![]() |

I have no issue if you keep it like you have been (i.e light-hearted).
I find it no worse then, say, Trey Parker and Matt Stone's Cannibal, the Musical (which is admittedly not a musical to everyone's liking.)

If you manage to find a way to offend me in any sizable standing, I'll need an address to send a trophy to because of how utterly dedicated you'd have to be to do that successfully.
Fun Fact: Nirmathi Gnoll chunks left to stew in Cure potions makes them roll more big numbers. This is a science fact courtesy Gobport ~ Goblin porter.

Alrighty then! Let's rock this fourth level, there's (hopefully) meat to be cooked.
For the record, Tharkan's bane (despite his recent acquisition of an adamantine blade) would be a level filled with uneatable creatures, such as golems.

![]() |

If you think it's uneatable, you're just not trying hard enough. Boil it MORE, call it a stew.

Xenon sits at my face to face game on Saturdays. We just finished Way of the Wicked, and our table has no censor.
Nuh uh; you suggestively censored us about Hailing Satan so loudly.
Will actually level... Soonish. Haven't sat at a computer that wasn't writing up an excel document for inventory usage tracking in a few days.

Your neighbors are just prejudiced against Satanists, do ho ho.
I am leveled now. One more level and I get me a Giant Centipede or something. Yay, Dungeon Rover!

![]() |

I have leveled to 4.
bought 2 oil of bless weapon
My fame isn't enough to buy an efficient quiver and I don't have enough to buy the Mithril chain for armor. Although I am not sure I should spend a lot of money into the mithral chain line since I am going to hit it's dex cap pretty soon, I think. I am not sure the path on upgrading it to get to Celestial Chain, but I have time.
Memorial service is later today so this evening should be back to normalish.

![]() |

I am highly dubious that you lack the funds to buy a mithral shirt, even after your +1 composite bow and various oils (and the wand, assuming you didn't use prestige to get it). Over 3 character sheets, we've made (I believe) 6,645 gp. A mithral shirt is only 1100 gp.
Bow (2700) + Wand (750) + Oils x2 (100) = 3550 << 6645
But, maybe I did my math wrong. Or maybe you are using the half-rate progression values?

Well, now that I understand James question, I did a breakdown on armor options(none of which he can afford now)
Working assumptions:
1) James will probably make a dexterity of 22-24 in the Spire (lets say 24 with a dex belt +4, for +7 AC from dex)
2) armor training 2, which will also raise the dex cap on the armor.
With that in mind, here is a comparison. Assume +3 armor, to put it all on equal level with celestial armor.
1) +3 mithral shirt: AC 7 + Dex 7 = 14 points; ACP 0; 10,100 gp
2) celestial chainmail: AC 9 + Dex 7 = 16 points; ACP 0; 22,600 gp; has fly
3) +3 mithral breastplate: AC 9 + Dex 7 = 16 points; ACP 0; 13,100 gp
4) +3 full plate: AC 12 + Dex 5 = 17 points; ACP -1; 19,500 gp
5) +3 tatami-do: AC 10 + Dex 7 = 17 points; ACP -1; 19,000 gp (but if he wears this, he's in danger of feeling silly and awkwardly non-genre appropriate)
I don't think you can upgrade mithral chainmail into celestial chain; celestial chain isn't actually made of mithral.

![]() |

Yeah, sorry meant Chain mail. Not that my AC is all that important in this group, but I want to try to keep it reasonable. I bought the wand with PP, haven't really used a charge yet, can't even use it but others might need it.
I did not buy the bow with PP, although, probably should have, live and learn.
Anyway...I put my first training point into Dex, giving me 19, so I am still at a 4.

Could you break down the "door panel" thing again, I'm a bit confused.
The magnet pillar has 6 slots, and they match some "door panels". I think I missed where door panels were discussed earlier. Are these in the same room, and something we can open?
