Ursus squats down in a linebacker’s pose and then thunders forward driving a massive shoulder into the double doors.

Wow. He just blew through that door like it was nothing. I quickly reevaluate how much I do NOT want to fight him. That's crazy. I roll my neck. What on earth am I gonna do to keep up with that?
So who wants to go first inside?
Aha! Opportunity knocks!
"I can I guess," I reply, sauntering up to the doors and drawing my blades. I really hope I don't end up looking stupid in front of everybody. I flash everyone a grin and turn, passing through the broken doors.
Video card in my comp died, so my posting may be sporadic until I can afford to get a new one. I apologize in advance.

"Well, maybe anyway. A little paranoia never hurt anyone, right?"
I laugh again and descend into the darkness, hoping he'll hold the light steady behind me.

Vince leads the way into the mausoleum. A grand staircase leads down in to a surprisingly open room. A polished silver coffin dominates the center of the room. More surprisingly though, a cot and basic amenities can be found in the far corner. No one appears to be there, though there are humanoid footprints everywhere. There are also very large footprints in the back, near a door in the back that represents the crypts only other exit.

Hmm. I relax a little, seeing no one's home. I browse around, checking out the oversized footprints. That's not discomforting at all...
I walk over and check the door in the back.

if that does not work XD
hmmmm... is it a magical door? trap door? lets see...
detect magic, infact. It may be best to assume I use detect magic constantly unless I am in a fight. If at a bar, strange man with strange clothing or nice looking weapons walks in. detect magic. new room haven't been in? detect magic. private room I asked for? detect magic. ;P

Your search yields little answers but a few more questions. Footprints litter the dusty floor, mostly of humanoid size though their is at least one trail of much larger footprints leading to the door and back. The sarcophagus itself is inscribed for Lady Oleria. It dates her death at just over 100 years ago.

"What I'm most curious about is who has the money to make a coffin out of silver?" I muse, "I mean, most any metal's gonna rust or whatever, right? So not only do you have to have the money to get one in the first place, you gotta have the money for someone to come in and polish it or whatever. Who in such a little town like this is runnin' with that kinda coin?"
I gently tap on the sarcophagus with the back side of my kukri.

The ping of the metal on metal rings out, loudly echoing around the tomb. It's interrupted by a tsking from the door, where Payk is standing.
"You shouldn't have done that, he's going to kill you now." The ringing ends but new sounds come faintly from the back wall where the second door is. The faints sounds resemble groans and grunts.

If I don't get called a fool of a Took I am going to be very disappointed in all of you.
Oh. S!#!. I grip my weapons tighter as my palms start to sweat. I slide to take cover, putting the sarcophagus between me and the sounds.

As much as I was thinking it when I read Payk's comment, its not something Varian would say :/
well blimey me. We might have some fun after all good job Vince! Why do you think he is gonna be able to kill us Captain? and just what exactly do you know, how do you know its a he?
despite his bluster Varian takes a Gulp and notices his palms sweating. He shakes his head and lets his pride swell up.
comon varian, Can't let them see ya scared!
HEY!!
he bangs the edge of his blade on the sarcophagus (not enough to cause damage to either.. just be loud)
then takes more than a few steps back as he beings to think better of that...

The second ringing stirs up the ruckus behind the door, but its soon apparent that nothing is actually going to happen.
Payk, both weapons drawn, sighs. "Oh well, woulda been nice to kill more of those things." He turns back to Varian, beaming. "Count Glavius' long lost love is in that casket and he's made it very clear that he does not want her disturbed."
Count Glavius is the current regional ruler. When Andoran came under common rule, the respected count, one of only a few of the previous nobility to stay in rule, was elected as mayor of the region, though he kept his title as count. The Count though, has not been since in public in over a century. He is said to communicate with local authorities, but that information is always more rumored than confirmed.

Payk gives the door across the mausoleum a look. "Doesn't look like there's a lock on it, have you tried pushing it?*" He looks serious too.
The half-elf flinches and then springs into action, grabbing the lock from the outside ground and then quickly closing the doors of the mausoleum, slowing it for the last few inches. When it's closed he turns to everyone in the mausoleum. "Kathal's here."
He's just messin.

My snort of laughter is cut short as the rouge informs us of the incoming necromancer. I duck back down behind the sarcophagus, this time on the other side. Man, why does everything have to be so tense?
"We gonna try and take him or just... uhhh... withdraw?" I whisper-shout to the group.

A restless Payk finally opens the door and slips out, beckoning for those inside to follow. Outside, the seemingly-oblivious Kathal is strolling towards the mausoleum, his eyes on a thick tome. He is between 40 and 80 feet from each of the players. Those inside the mausoleum would not have an opportunity to charge.
Payk draws a short sword as he exits confidently striding up to the wizard, though keeping silent.

Jack joins the others outside, hesitant to act but weary nonetheless.
Kathal finally notices the approaching forms and drops the tome. He fumbles around in his robes while stuttering "What are you do-oing here, this is a private burial site."*
He seems much more in control of himself then his stuttering would indicate.
