Is she saveable, if the sorceror applies the potion in the same round, instead of casting?
Or if Wynneth had cast l. restoration instead of a missile?

![]() |

Lasaraleen is exactly at zero. She has some boons she could use vs undead spell/attacks or Lissalans but not sure if they would work in this case. She will definitely use them if possible.

![]() |

I will PM you the wording.

![]() |

apologies- i work saturdays and had a long fathers day yesterday
After the battle is over Wynnith rushes over to examine Lasaraleen...
Heal: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16
Determining she need an infusion of strength Wynnith casts Lesser Restoration... 1d4 ⇒ 1
She then helps the cleric steady herself.

Cleric Spells Prepared (CL 4th; concentration +8)
2nd—aid[D], consecrate, resist energy, lesser restoration
1st—entropic shield, longstrider[D], magic stone, protection from evil, shield of faith
Evoker Spells Prepared (CL 4th; concentration +8)
0 (at will)—detect magic, light, mending, stabilize
2nd—glitterdust (DC 16), mirror image, scorching ray, scorching ray
1st—burning hands (DC 16), color spray (DC 15), mage armor, magic missile, magic missile
will protection from evil work, or shield of faith? she does not have the arcane shield spell memorized.

![]() |

small AC boosts will not work. It has too high of an attack. What about mirror image and step between shadow and her? Also once dead she could come back as a shadow so could be more joining her.

![]() |

How about this one:
CONSECRATE the area! "Every undead creature entering a consecrated area suffers minor disruption, suffering a -1 penalty on attack rolls, damage rolls, and saves" (no SR/no save allowed)

![]() |

Assuming that plan, Lasaraleen staggers to her feet and braces against the wall.
"Th..thanks Wynnith. I could feel that dreadful creature pulling my strength from every muscle in my body. If nearly pulled my own shadow from my soul."
Unless there is anything pressing during the next minute, Lasaraleen will cast lesser restoration upon herself.
StR : 1d4 ⇒ 2
Um twice...that's all she can do for now
StR : 1d4 ⇒ 1
Bleh ... 4 StR is better than dead.
"By the Dawn I feel some strength return. I just hope there are no more of them lurking ."

![]() |

" Should we search this room first before we go to the next?."
Perception : 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (3) + 15 = 18
If nothing found, Lasaraleen will want to cast buffs before someone else is trying another door. She has a potion of lesser restoration she is holding incase some one needs it more. She is too weak to lead .

![]() |

Aware of the hourglass running on the haste spell...
I'll move into the room to the right, and swing at anyone in there, since they must be on good terms with the shadow, to have not been drained.
Alternately, smash any cupboard or chest that may hold what we seek.

Helikon |

Near the north wall of this chamber stands a statue of a halfsnake, half-human creature covered in Thassilonian runes. The folded arms of the female creature's torso hold a quill and a whip. Six wings grace her back, and her lower body is a coiled serpent. In place of her head, a disk with a sevenpointed star, each point with a different rune, completes the amalgamation. The statue faces a huge circular door embossed with the same seven-pointed rune.

![]() |

Seeing no enemies, I'll continue round for the rest of my move, checking in on the other five visitors, to see if they've moved, or done anything suspicious.
"A statue and puzzle door, in there. Let's clear any enemies, before we open it."
It's up to you if you follow, instead of looking in the other room.

![]() |

Lasaraleen will shuffle weakly past the east door and look at the statue.
kn:rel: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (19) + 11 = 30
I agree. We should not disturb this door or puzzle until we are sure we are clear of dreadful distractions.
Assuming haste is dropping by now. Remember protection from evil circle lasts for over an hour, so it should stay up for quite awhile yet.
Any change in action or reaction by the noble or others in this hallway?
perception: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (19) + 15 = 34 on doors/hall to west
As the 4 ladies reach the next door, before anyone opens it, Lasaraleen is going to call forth some divine aid.
Sarenrae, send us your aid against the vile creatures of shadow in this unholy place
She will cast bull strength on herself (getting her at least respectable) and at the moment before a door is opened, she summons a hound archon.
Holy warrior, we may need your assistance in this place.

![]() |

Lasaraleen will keep up with the rushing Bramble as she races down the hallway. She makes note of the whip and quill, but does not stop to check them yet.
I am trying to keep up, dearest Bramble. If you open a door, I will have an archon join us.

![]() |

Forgot the casting time.
I'd use the time to check out the other rooms, wait for the others to catch up, and overcome fatigue.
Have the NPCs moved from the entrance room?

![]() |

Lasaraleen nods in agreement while she catches her breath.
Once we are all assembled. I will call forth a guardian.
She summons the archon once the others are ready to try the SW door
She motions to the villagers and the noble.
Um, you may want to stay back. That last room was like totally aweful.

![]() |

Once the other ladies move up, Lasarleen motions to the hound.
Please open the door for us, servant of good.

Helikon |

The rotted pews, the collapsed pulpit, and the giant Sihedron mosaic on the floor indicate that this room once housed Lissalan worshipers. A circular door set in the northern end of the eastern wall has no apparent handles or hinges, though an obviously magical key hole lies in the center of the door. Stone double doors also rest in the eastern wall, farther south.
As the hound archon opens the door suddenly a knight on her skeletal horse is charging him.
Attack: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (6) + 22 = 282d8 + 24 + 2d6 ⇒ (3, 2) + 24 + (1, 2) = 32

The Hound Archon barks as it takes the massive blow from the lance straight in the chest, but continues to stand, in part due to its natural resistance to injury.
DR/10 Evil, so either 7/39 or 17/39 hp. AC21 vs Evil.
Knight needs a DC16 Will save vs Aura.
Yes, master.
The Hound steps forward with its greatsword and tries to chop the knight down from its unholy mount.
greatsword: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15 for dmg: 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (1, 5) + 3 = 9
greatsword: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6 for dmg: 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (3, 2) + 3 = 8
bite: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6 for dmg: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
bleh
Ladies, Bramble, I think we have some bad person on a dead horse we need to dispatch. Dawnflower, smite this dreadful creature with your holy power.
Holy Smite 20' holy: 4d8 ⇒ (5, 5, 7, 6) = 23 DC19 WILL for half and not blinded

![]() |

Added the blast area on map in case there is anything else in the room. DC19 will apply to knight and mount. If they are evil outsiders, then the damage will be 8d6 instead.

![]() |

CL : 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18 vs SR
Do I need one for the mount also? If either are evil outsiders feel free to roll the 8d6 .

![]() |

How about the horse? Was it affected by the holy smite? I am assuming it did not drop.
"Bramble, can you take him? I fear my guardian cannot withstand another blow like that one ."

![]() |

I'll move into the room, If he has an attack on me via reach, I'll keep on going, to get further around.
If he hasn't, I'll stop when I reach him, so as not to provoke.
Then rage (free action), and Power Attack the horse, then Cleave into the rider.
Power Attack on Horse: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (13) + 13 = 26
damage: 2d8 + 18 ⇒ (8, 4) + 18 = 30
Power Attack on Rider: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (17) + 13 = 30
damage: 2d8 + 18 ⇒ (1, 2) + 18 = 21

![]() |

Oh, if the horse were already gone, I can't cleave.
It's just a single attack on the knight.
Does she shrink down to a Medium opponent?
If so, I may reconsider continuing my move the extra square, to provide flanking opportunity for the archon, even if that move provokes, as she won't be using her spear on the charge, or getting unholy damage on me.

![]() |

Go on then, he can have a free shot at me, in a bid to get round him and give the archon a flanking bonus.
