Max: Wow, you're fast (or lucky). That test post was up all of 30 seconds before I deleted it.
Yeah, it was thanks to the little "posted with" tag that I found out about Wayfinder today. Looks like it will be quite helpful.
I discovered a bug related to quoting (it only shows the first line after any quote) and sent in a bug report. I'm hopeful that will be corrected soon as it appears to be Pharysene's preferred style.
As for hogging the thread... geez, as much as I talk do you really think you have to worry about that?
Max Smithson
Look up the thread for It's A Dungeon and the author of the app is in that thread, you could post in the discussion thread if you have questions about the app.

Thanks. Other than the quoting glitch -- and I emailed a bug report for that -- so far so good, and it seems pretty straightforward and easy to understand.
Tuich
Definitely having fun here, thanks to everyone for letting me be a part of it!
And I promise Tuich won't go angsty on y'all, I'm just establishing character and doing setup for a backstory reveal. Once we're out of the "exposition" phase she'll be a lot less wordy and less stuffy-formal with the paladins too. But right now she doesn't know anyone and is pretty unnerved by all this, so trying to tread eggshells.
TET, I hope you didn't take my scheduling remarks as any sort of complaint towards you (or anyone). I just wanted to caution that I won't always be as interactive as I've been over the last day or so, and why. I'll be a lot less visible here for the next several days (starting tonight)... but "I'll be back!" come the weekend.

Flex is always allowed, for one thing. Developing one's character is expected. Scheduling can be an issue, and I will take the prerogative to move things along every now and then, but I've seen brilliant pbps that utilize said system.
On a separate note, though. Enemy wishlist, anyone?

Speaking of fighting, for anyone into magic users facing off, if you haven't been following Monty Oum's new show RWBY you should at least watch the first episode. The magic battle between the Huntress and "Fire Girl" borders on epic (and in the pilot, no less). It's very much the way I envision such conflicts, with varied attacks ("Well THAT didn't work, let's try THIS..."), energies being transformed and turned back against the enemy who threw them, and so on. So many subtle stylistic points, like how the Huntress goes through hand and body motions to call forth a storm cloud, freezes in place to allow it to form, then shifts into another posture to call down the ice strike... simply brilliant.
Eleven or so minutes worthy of your time purely for the magic stylings, even if you abhor anime. (And if you're into gaming, you may recognize the narrator for the opening monologue.)
Episode 1 is here, and if you find your interest piqued, trailers and the complete series to date are available here and on crunchyroll, where it's been in the top eight since the show was added, and rose to the #2 slot after the mid-season special (Episode 8).
We now return you to your regularly scheduled alternate reality.
Cheers!

I have to turn in shortly (should have already), but this PbP newbie will happily welcome another! As someone illustrious recently said here, "Bring it!"
And: Welcome aboard, Friend-of-Trout!

Trout I am going mad from having a useless feat unless I can talk to stuff... It is basically a taunt in mmo's it is to keep the lower leveled people alive in fights. Antagonize what it does is:
Whether with biting remarks or hurtful words, you are adept at making creatures angry with you.
Benefit: You can make Diplomacy and Intimidate checks to make creatures respond to you with hostility. No matter which skill you use, antagonizing a creature takes a standard action that does not provoke attacks of opportunity, and has a DC equal to 10+ the target's Hit Dice + the target's Wisdom modifier. You cannot make this check against a creature that does not understand you or has an Intelligence score of 3 or lower. Before you make these checks, you may make a Sense Motive check (DC 20) as a swift action to gain an insight bonus on these Diplomacy or Intimitade checks equal to your Charisma bonus until the end of your next turn. The benefits you gain for this check depend on the skill you use. This is a mind-affecting effect.
Diplomacy: You fluster your enemy. For the next minute, the target takes a –2 penalty on all attacks rolls made against creatures other than you and has a 10% spell failure chance on all spells that do not target you or that have you within their area of effect.
Intimidate: The creature flies into a rage. On its next turn, the target must attempt to make a melee attack against you, make a ranged attack against you, target you with a spell, or include you in the area of a spell. The effect ends if the creature is prevented from attacking you or attempting to do so would harm it (for example, if you are on the other side of a chasm or a wall of fire). If it cannot attack you on its turn, you may make the check again as an immediate action to extend the effect for 1 round (but cannot extend it thereafter). The effect ends as soon as the creature attacks you. Once you have targeted a creature with this ability, you cannot target it again for 1 day.
Now as I have no ranks in Diplomacy and can't use it while raged anyway Intimidate will be my go to thing.

Regarding the forgetting to change your avatar thing, you can set Fajra as your default to make things a bit easier.
EDIT: Meant to say "alias", but I suspect you knew that...
Niulamayu
I did indeed understand your meaning Tuich. I am quite happy to be able to game every day again. I must apologize for my lack of spelling and grammar (sometimes even spell check is like dafaq?) I am sure to send the Grammar Nazis to the funny farm.
Most of us are already here.

Must resist urge to correct all mistakes.

Okay can resist urge for now ;)
I truly do not mind people correcting my mistakes. That is how one learns. My problem is when they go flaming jack-arse on me and I can't tell what the correction is for all the insults to my self and my mother.

Heh... I could tell when the majority lunch break rolled 'round today; unfortunately I had a meeting right in the middle of it so had to miss some of the activity. And much as I'd like to hang in there with things getting "interesting" as they now are, I have to crash. Mañana ladies and gents, and have some extra fun for me!

Oh, the people who make me cringe are the ones who don't even try, M. You don't fall under that criteria.
Now.
I am going to shower.
Kenith: The smoke is thick, but you can still get the cooking done.
Niu: Just keep floating.
Xarl: Your actions with scribing have been noted, or will be noted.
Also, is everyone okay with using hex exploration like Kingmaker uses? It's a system that will make scouting, and mapping, your plane easier.
EDIT:
In theory.
Tuich
The player actually thought that was what you meant, Niu. But then the talk of staying back with the little ones got me thinking maybe I'd misinterpreted.
As for Tuich the PC, listen closely and you'll hear her knees knocking together. Like the earlier comment about not wanting to see a baddie that can go toe-to-toe with a 10th level anything, she knows she can't measure up to the guys (and Fajra too, if your abilities were known). She said as much to Kenith.
But she was determined not to be excluded or discounted, and she jumped in the deep end with (a tiny bit of) bluff and (a huge quantity of) bluster.
You know... one of those YAY, I got what I asked for... wait... oh crap, I got what I asked for! situations.
Oh well, she was a fun character while she lasted...

Well if the "manly men" hadn't been so over-protective (smiling sweetly) and just said "You're right, let's go!" when it was brought up we'd be, like, three hexes out by now. :op

Wow, that's exceedingly cool. I hope to hear more.
I gotta hit the road home, it's about a 45 minute commute. I tried to get Tuich to a natural action/chapter break for you. Do what you must to keep things moving forward as you wish; I'll be back on line in under 60.
