The Wizard Morlean hired you to transport a minor relic across the Chatar Mountains. Amidst the windswept glaciers you find an evil cult, and ancient myth, treasure filled caverns, and great danger. You will need every ounce of all your adventuring skills, sound judgement, and luck to survive among the glittering walls of ice.

I forgot to ask can we use craft wondrous item.
Shoot, I accidentally posted in gameplay under my user alias instead of my character.
Now Grimmy is showing up in the characers tab instead of Lamriel.
There will be limited time to craft, but some down time.
Out of game knowledge: Swordthrust ends at level 5 with a 'crafting break'. Desert of Desolation will be whirlwind with no crafting break until its conclusion at level 10.
Male Elf Occultist
I think you can fix that by posting again. Did you delete or just edit your last post. Can we do the slow as all hell travel crafting.
I just edited. I will try deleting now.
Male Elf Occultist
Lam is in characters. But so is grimmy.
Yeah posting again added Lam, and I tried deleting ist post but grimmy is still showing up in characters. Bummer.
Maybe DM can fix?
I have a pretty basic rules question that I need to see if I am interpreting correctly (per pg 178 in CRB for flat-footed): It appears that all participants in combat are flat-footed (meaning they don't get their DEX bonus to AC and are vulnerable to a rogue's sneak attacke) until their turn comes up in the first round of combat. Is this correct?
Unless they act in a surprise round, this is correct. I usually differentiate the surprise round from combat rounds as everyone gets a std action only.
A reason why improved initiative is a popular rogue feat.
Ugh, the internet just ate my backstory. x_x
Anyone know a way to recover?
I asked this in the recruitment thread but we seem to be doing stuff here now, so here goes:
GM Tribute: When you started this campaign, you allowed players to select the feat Luck of Heroes (to emulate the feat of the same name in Neverwinter Nights) is that feat still available for our PC's?
Male Elf Occultist
Nope. I hate that it just decides to time out some times why I write long posts in wordpad.
First time I lost anything that way, guess i usually don't write long posts.
Anyway I re-wrote it. Can't shake the feeling it was better before nut who knows :)
Tavar: Why did you only include your CON bonus and Favored Class bonus to hit points twice instead of three times? It seems that your HP should actually be 20 instead of 18.

Logan I see you have to get your own character up and registered still but after that can you audit mine if you have time?
Lamriel Brightflame wrote: Logan I see you have to get your own character up and registered still but after that can you audit mine if you have time? Will do, Grimmy.
(I kind of feel like Homer Simpson calling Frank Grimes "Grimey" whenever I type your screen-name.)
No Luck of Heroes. Most passed on it anyway.
No traits, but all characters get an extra feat assumed to have been chosen at level 1. (This extra feat can't have been exotic weapon proficiency for a character without a +1 BaB at first level.)
We had a paladin chose to start with a two feat tripping build until he dropped.
GM Tribute wrote: No Luck of Heroes. Most passed on it anyway. Wow! I can't believe people didn't take that feat. That was basically two feats in one. I know I definitely was going to take it.
I'm sorry I forgot to include this earlier but I am unsure how to handle the purchasing of equipment with the 3000 gp starting wealth. Are we allowed to purchase magic items (it appears that we are) and if we are how do I calculate the cost of some items like armor and weapons?
For example, if I wanted to buy a suit of +1 breastplate armor, would that cost 1350 gp (200 for breastplate armor, 150 for masterwork and 1000 for +1 enchantment) or 1200 gp (200 for armor and 1000 for +1 enchantment)? Basically, I am asking if the money you pay for the enchantment includes the cost of making the item masterwork which it must be to be enchanted or if it does not include that and must be paid for separately?
Male Elf Occultist
You can only enchant masterwork items so 1350 is correct. We get a bonus feat in this game.
Lamriel Brightflame wrote: Logan I see you have to get your own character up and registered still but after that can you audit mine if you have time? Grimmy/Lam: Everything that I could confirm checks out. I couldn't check your skills because I don't know which skills you placed ranks in nor the number of ranks you used in any skill.
Additionally, I think you might have a little more money left than what you have indicated (~178 gp). I think your premium items add up to 2600 gp (750 for wand of CLW, 1250 for +1 chain shirt, 500 for +1 masterwork long composite bow and 100 for masterwork harp). The rest of your stuff can't be much more than 70-80 gp I would think.
Oh, and per GM Tribute you get an extra feat. Woohoo!
Ok, I know what's going on. I forgot I bought a horse and he has about 85 gp worth of stuff on him.
Woohoo for extra feat though!

Think I'll take arcane strike in case we run into dr/magic.
I dunno though, my spell DC's are really low, maybe spell focus.
Was this really written by Boris Vallejo!?
So...it seems as though this has already died on the vine, no?
