Yasmin al Akbar |

Yasmin takes a step back to keep a safe distance, and tries another blob of acid. Attack vs Touch: 1d20 + 3 - 4 ⇒ (12) + 3 - 4 = 11; Damage: 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

GM Zed |

Grayface and Ea both swing their blunt weapons through Gorloth's lax defences...their bludgeoning instruments cracking and splintering bone as they land...but somehow, the damage is less than it ought to be for the force of the blow...
But, as the group start to gather around the skeleton, Yasmin can't find her target...she throws her acid splash a little high and it smears harmlessly against the wall...
With Gorloth distracted and unbalanced by attacks, Rallos sees his opportunity and moves in to try disarming the skeleton...but the rogue's defence is equally poor and he takes a grievous wound for his troubles. The one consolation being that Gorloth's weapon clatters to the floor...
Gorloth, Bastard Sword vs Rallos (Attack of Opportunity): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18, hitting for 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10, reduced to 5 by DR/Adamantine
Will wait for an action from Emerald but will GMPC her if required

Yasmin al Akbar |

Does Rallos still have DR5/adamantite thanks to Emarald?

GM Zed |

As the sword clatters to the floor, Emerald’s mace crunches into Gorloth’s ribcage with a sickening crunch…
In a long dead language, the skeleton hisses curses at you all…kicking the sword backwards, it steps back and reaching down, picks it up…
Gorloth moves to the square south of Ea and picks up his sword (kicking it backwards is just flavour text!!!)…provoking an Attack of Opportunity from Ea
…and then turns and flees towards the south western corner of the chamber.
Everyone may take their turn now
Map update to follow

Ea Zalinsel |

Ea tries to slams her weapon in the animated cadaver with rage, hoping to bring it down
AoO: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
But she misses and curses at her own clumsiness. She starts to run after Gorloth
You won't escape with your unlife, I swear it to Pharasma.

Yasmin al Akbar |

Yasmin moves west as well, and fires yet more acid at the fleeing skeleton. Attack vs Touch: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17; Damage: 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 Waiting on map update before moving myself.

Grayface |

charging, he was just out of range for a normal move.
With a snarl Grayface charges into the back corner where the undead fled to, ball and chain whirring as he ran.
Flail vs Gorloth: 1d20 + 5 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (1) + 5 + 2 - 1 = 7
un-freaking-believable.

GM Zed |

Yasmin's globule of acid finds it's target, the hissing of corrosive liquid on organic material a welcome sound...
GMPC for Emerald
Reaching out as Ea makes her way after the escaping skeleton, Emerald imbues the cleric with the protective cocoon of stone that she had previously blessed Rallos and Grayface with...
Emerald casts Ward of Stone on Ea, Ea gains 5/DR Adamantine against the next successful attack upon her
As Grayface charges Gorloth, his defences inevitably lower...and he finds himself cruelly exposed when the Skeleton, towering above him after his failed charge, brings the gleaming sword down upon him...
...and then blackness...
Gorloth, Bastard Sword vs Grayface: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22, hitting for 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
Grayface is now unconscious and dying at -5, on his next turn he will require to make a DC10 Constitution Check with a -5 penalty to Stabilise
...reaching behind him, Gorloth opens a secret door that reveals a short corridor heading to the west, "See how fragile your friends are Priestess...forever on the edge of death...would an eternal undeath not be a mercy Priestess? Can you not see that?"
Everyone may take their turn now

Ea Zalinsel |

Shrugging her shoulders, Ea walks over Grayface's prone body
Death happens. It's only natural. And it will soon happen to you.
Or to me..Please Pharasma don't let me become an undead!
Once again, she smashes her weapon into Gorloth's bony arm
attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
dmg: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
One of my ally will heal Grayface. Or he will die. Fate will tell. When you will go down, no one will be here to save you.
Why the low damage roll? At least I hit...*sighs*

Yasmin al Akbar |

Seeing Grayface fall, Yasmin seems to have free reign to fire some more acid at the skeleton!
Hoping you will allow this to happen before Ea arrives, since it's just a matter of a momentary delay in initiative order.
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10; Damage: 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Grayface |

Con check to stabilise: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9 Failed!

GM Zed |

Yasmin's globule of acid splashes harmlessly against the wall adjacent to Gorloth who, failing to fend of Ea's attack, doesn't seem to be overly concerned about the morning star smashing against his arm.
Meanwhile Emerald and Rallos take chase...
The skeleton slashes at Ea with it's sword and then, stepping backwards, opens the door to another room.
Gorloth, Bastard Sword vs Ea: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18, hitting for 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11, reduced to 6 by DR5/Adamantine then 5ft step
Gray webbing fills the newly revealed chamber. Huge cocoons of spider silk hang suspended in the webs, and the webs crawl with countless hundreds of pale little spiders...
Grayface is still unconscious and dying at -6, on his next turn he will require to make a DC10 Constitution Check with a -6 penalty to Stabilise
Everyone may take their turn now

Rallos Therinor |

Rallos launches a sling bullet at the retreating skeleton.
attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 81d4 ⇒ 3
Rallos then moves to Gray to assist with his condition.
You three go after him...I will help Gray....
edit: forgot move action

Grayface |

Con check to stabilize: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7 Nope! haha
I can see the light!

Yasmin al Akbar |

"With pleasure," says Yasmin in response to Rallos. "Let's clear a path through this webbing, shall we?" She moves close to the doorway and shoots flames into the next room! Burning Hands: 3d4 ⇒ (1, 3, 3) = 7; Reflex DC15 for half damage. Hoping to set some webs aflame and/or burn some swarming spiders

Ea Zalinsel |

Delaying my action
Ea waits for Yasmin to complete her spell before rushing to the pursuit of Gorloth
Burn the spiders, Yasmin. If your flames can engulf the self proclaimed "Lord of the level", who's running away like a coward when faced with the power of Pharasma, it's even better!Rallos, get ready to drag Grayface if theres still some spiders. Emarald, with me!
What would be needed to taunt Gorloth to come and fight, a bluff roll? Bluff, untrained: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11 I suppose it won't do...^^

GM Zed |

GMPC for Emerald
Emerald sticks close to Ea, ready to move with her...to chase Gorloth down...
Emerald delays action
Yasmin pours gouts of flame into the chamber...Gorloth shrieking inhumanly as his robes catch light. As some of the webbing catches light and smoke starts to fill the room, Gorloth retreats into the room...
Gorloth, Reflex Save, 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17, Reflex Save for Half Damage
There is a small fire in the webbing adjacent to the door to the chamber...you can move past it safely at the moment
Everyone may take their turn now

Yasmin al Akbar |

Does Emerald have a CLW to spend on Grayface? Do the pale spiders in the webbing look threatening?

GM Zed |

The small spiders in the webbing don't appear to be hazardous on their own...but, if they were to start swarming, they might present a threat
Grayface is still unconscious and dying at -7, on his next turn he will require to make a DC10 Constitution Check with a -7 penalty to Stabilise
Emerald does have CLW prepared if the group want her to use her spell on Grayface rather than chasing Gorloth

Ea Zalinsel |

Fueled with a divine fury, Ea rushes to Gorloth, fearlessly
Pharasma calls you, Gorloth... don't make her wait!
Charge: 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 + 2 = 24
damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Crit?: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Yasmin al Akbar |

Yasmin pursues Gorloth, but saves her more powerful magics for later. Acid Splash: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22; Damage: 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2.

Grayface |

Con check to stabilize: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Look out folks. I apologize for using up all the good dice rolls.

GM Zed |

GMPC for Emerald
Stopping down next to Grayface, Emerald touches him lightly...her skin glistens like crystal as she imbues healing energy upon the fading Grayface...
Emerald, Cure Light Wounds on Grayface, 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Grayface is wrenched backed into consciousness...his wounds closing and the darkness clearing...
Grayface, am going to say that Emerald acts before your Con Check so you may take your turn now

GM Zed |

As Grayface doesn't have a viable way (as far as I can tell) of attacking Gorloth, I shall post Gorloth's action now and Grayface can Retcon something
Charging after the bone priest, Ea lands another blow upon it...and, shortly after, another tossed globule of acid scorches bone and ancient cloth.
"Persistent aren't you? Look around you...see this room one last time in life...breath the air...and welcome the gift of undeath that I bring to you"
Gorloth, Bastard Sword vs Ea, 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24, hitting for 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
As Ea and Gorloth trade blows, the fire within the room starts to take hold...flames spread in the webbing and smoke starts to threaten to cloud vision...
The fire has no mechanical implications yet unless you enter a square that is on fire
Everyone may take their turn now / Grayface can also Retcon actions for the previous turn

Grayface |

Retcon action. I suppose it will take my full round to stand from prone and retrieve my weapon.
Gray opens his eyes to see the beautiful, or at least what he now sees as beautiful, green gemstone colored skin of his friend Emerald.
"Thank the gods. I was in a gray swirl tunnel, with a light at the end. I would've sworn that Ea was there, beckoning me onward to her goddess!" He shudders. "Someday perhaps, but not today!" He retrieves his flail from the floor next to him and stands up.
"Em can I get another shot of that healing power? I feel like hell."
Current round, I will wait (and hope) for Emerald's action in anticipation of some healing. Afterwards, I will double move into the room with the others, standing next to Ea. I will move into the room regardless of whether Emerald can/will heal me this round.
Setting his flail a-spinning, he hustles into the next room where he heard the taunting hollow voice of the skeleton lord. Gritting his teeth, he prepared for the sweet melee that was sure to follow.

Ea Zalinsel |

delay my action until Grayface is there. BTW and for my personal info, does a channeling provokes an AoO in close combat?
Clashing weapons with the unliving, holding her ground despite the pain, Ea stubbornely fight, like a woman possessed
I ain't afraid to die, Gorloth. You should have understood by now. Or maybe you aren't as smart as you wish to be... You thought you would go down in history as the lord of your tiny unholy place, you were partially right: You will go down. Point. This is your last chance to surrender. I'll bring you the eternal peace of the netherworld you should be yearning for. If not me, one of my comrades. Each breath we take succor you toward your long awaited tomb. If I'm still alive, I'll engrave your name myself on it, I promise. Maybe it will serve as a warning for those who think they can cheat Pharasma, and a memory for the living, who will be able to be, to dream and to love without your threath over their heads. It's all the eternity you can be allowed. Not more, not less than anyone else. Death is the ultimate equalizer.
No, I'm not afraid to die. But to become like you...Thats the stuff of nightmares. Please Pharasma, don't let that horror be!

Ea Zalinsel |

Ea presses on, even if her muscles starts showing signs of fatigue. She seems to fight on sheer will, perspiration flowing on her face, teeth clenched
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Rallos, as you are the most agile, either try to disarm Gorloth again, or try to pass his guard to cut his way off, so Grayface can arrive and strike . Yasmin, another ball of acid.

Yasmin al Akbar |

Yasmin tries a ball of acid, though the flames, smoke and combat makes this exceptionally difficult. Attack: 1d20 + 3 - 8 ⇒ (1) + 3 - 8 = -4; Damage: 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3.
It seems she doesn't even fire in the right direction!

GM Zed |

The smoke within the room appears to affect everyone, even the undead priest who, slashing at Ea...misses wildly.
Gorloth, Bastard Sword vs Ea: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9, missing
"Talk while you still can Priestess...when I bring you back, I will have dominion over your thoughts, your mind, your voice...your soul"
In amongst all of the smoke and flame, the spiders have started to escape their webs and swarm over the floor...a large mass collecting around Gorloth, almost fluid in its movements...
The Spider Swarm will act next turn on Gorloth's Initiative Count
Everyone may take their turn now

Yasmin al Akbar |

"Rallos - let me get where you're standing!" so that she can burning hands those spiders and Gorloth.

Grayface |

Grayface did a double take at the hideous swarm of vermin amassing, but decided to keep his focus on the trouble at hand.
"Enough of your preaching, fiend! Back to hell with you."
Flail vs Gorloth: 1d20 + 5 - 1 ⇒ (10) + 5 - 1 = 14
Dmg: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8

Yasmin al Akbar |

"I sure hope I don't regret this." Yasmin wades close to the spiders that seem to be swarming around Gorloth, and burns them all!
Burning Hands: 3d4 ⇒ (2, 2, 4) = 8 Reflex DC 15 for half. Should be particularly effective vs swarms.

GM Zed |

Stepping to the side, Rallos continues to aid Ea with her defense as a sudden explosion of heat fills the room.
Gorloth, Save vs Burning Hands: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23, saved for half damage
Spider Swarm, Save vs Burning Hands: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21, saved for half damage (damage includes extra 50% damage for Swarm Vulnerability)
The heat from Yasmin’s blast knocks Grayface off balance slightly and his flail slams into the floor rather than it’s intended target.
Ea and Emerald may act now

Ea Zalinsel |

Whooops, sorry. I'm a little bit late.
Ea tries to finish Gorloth with a swing of her weapons to the ribcage
attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
But she blows her chance

GM Zed |

Gorloth, his robes smouldering and strength waning, stabs at Ea. The colour of the flames within his eye sockets darkens and, looking at him, you feel a sense of inevitable darkness...
Gorloth, Bastard Sword vs Ea: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13, missing
Everyone within 30ft must make a DC15 Will Save to avoid being Shaken for 1d4 ⇒ 2 rounds
As Gorloth makes his final stand, the spider swarm churns and boils...spilling out of the webbing to where you stand...spiders climb up legs, into clothing...tickling, scratching, biting...
Spider Swarm moves into spaces occupied by Ea, Rallos, Grayface and Yasmin
Ea, Rallos, Grayface and Yasmin take: 1d6 ⇒ 3 damage
...and as the biting starts, the acid feeling of poison starts to rise...
Ea, Rallos, Grayface and Yasmin, you both need to make Fort Saves, DC11, to avoid being poisoned
Ea, Rallos, Grayface and Yasmin, you both need to make a second Fort Save, DC11, to avoid being nauseated
Everyone may take their turn now

GM Zed |

GMPC for Emerald, Retcon for last round
Emerald standing at the entrance to the chamber, places her hands against the wall of the chamber, and moments later, the walls hum with positive energy...
Emerald casts Bless - everyone gains a +1 morale bonus on attack rolls and saving throws against few effects (Gorloth's gaze is a Fear effect); this bonus lasts for 2 minutes
