Grayface and Ea both swing their blunt weapons through Gorloth's lax defences...their bludgeoning instruments cracking and splintering bone as they land...but somehow, the damage is less than it ought to be for the force of the blow...

GM only:
Gorloth = 24/37HP

But, as the group start to gather around the skeleton, Yasmin can't find her target...she throws her acid splash a little high and it smears harmlessly against the wall...

With Gorloth distracted and unbalanced by attacks, Rallos sees his opportunity and moves in to try disarming the skeleton...but the rogue's defence is equally poor and he takes a grievous wound for his troubles. The one consolation being that Gorloth's weapon clatters to the floor...

When Gorloth's sword escape its grip and falls on the floor

Great! Rallos idea was simple but brilliant! Dangerous too. I must congratulate and thank him later.

As the sword clatters to the floor, Emerald’s mace crunches into Gorloth’s ribcage with a sickening crunch…

In a long dead language, the skeleton hisses curses at you all…kicking the sword backwards, it steps back and reaching down, picks it up…

Gorloth moves to the square south of Ea and picks up his sword (kicking it backwards is just flavour text!!!)…provoking an Attack of Opportunity from Ea

…and then turns and flees towards the south western corner of the chamber.

    Reaching out as Ea makes her way after the escaping skeleton, Emerald imbues the cleric with the protective cocoon of stone that she had previously blessed Rallos and Grayface with...

    Emerald casts Ward of Stone on Ea, Ea gains 5/DR Adamantine against the next successful attack upon her

    As Grayface charges Gorloth, his defences inevitably lower...and he finds himself cruelly exposed when the Skeleton, towering above him after his failed charge, brings the gleaming sword down upon him...

    ...and then blackness...

    Yasmin's globule of acid splashes harmlessly against the wall adjacent to Gorloth who, failing to fend of Ea's attack, doesn't seem to be overly concerned about the morning star smashing against his arm.

    Meanwhile Emerald and Rallos take chase...

    The skeleton slashes at Ea with it's sword and then, stepping backwards, opens the door to another room.

    Gray webbing fills the newly revealed chamber. Huge cocoons of spider silk hang suspended in the webs, and the webs crawl with countless hundreds of pale little spiders...

    What would be needed to taunt Gorloth to come and fight, a bluff roll? Bluff, untrained: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11 I suppose it won't do...^^

    Does Emerald have a CLW to spend on Grayface? Do the pale spiders in the webbing look threatening?


    The small spiders in the webbing don't appear to be hazardous on their own...but, if they were to start swarming, they might present a threat

    Emerald does have CLW prepared if the group want her to use her spell on Grayface rather than chasing Gorloth

    How far is Gorloth? Can I get to him in a single move? Double move? No result from my poor attempt at taunting him to come back fighting?^^


    Ea, it would be a double move to get to Gorloth so, the only way that you will be able to get an attack on Gorloth is by Charging

    Also, with the spider webs catching light, low HP and an unimpressive Bluff…Gorloth is definitely not being taunted to fight in the doorway

    Grayface is wrenched backed into consciousness...his wounds closing and the darkness clearing...

    As Grayface doesn't have a viable way (as far as I can tell) of attacking Gorloth, I shall post Gorloth's action now and Grayface can Retcon something

    Charging after the bone priest, Ea lands another blow upon it...and, shortly after, another tossed globule of acid scorches bone and ancient cloth.

  • Retcon action. I suppose it will take my full round to stand from prone and retrieve my weapon.
    Gray opens his eyes to see the beautiful, or at least what he now sees as beautiful, green gemstone colored skin of his friend Emerald.
    "Thank the gods. I was in a gray swirl tunnel, with a light at the end. I would've sworn that Ea was there, beckoning me onward to her goddess!" He shudders. "Someday perhaps, but not today!" He retrieves his flail from the floor next to him and stands up.
    "Em can I get another shot of that healing power? I feel like hell."

    Current round, I will wait (and hope) for Emerald's action in anticipation of some healing. Afterwards, I will double move into the room with the others, standing next to Ea. I will move into the room regardless of whether Emerald can/will heal me this round.

    Setting his flail a-spinning, he hustles into the next room where he heard the taunting hollow voice of the skeleton lord. Gritting his teeth, he prepared for the sweet melee that was sure to follow.

    I ain't afraid to die, Gorloth. You should have understood by now. Or maybe you aren't as smart as you wish to be... You thought you would go down in history as the lord of your tiny unholy place, you were partially right: You will go down. Point. This is your last chance to surrender. I'll bring you the eternal peace of the netherworld you should be yearning for. If not me, one of my comrades. Each breath we take succor you toward your long awaited tomb. If I'm still alive, I'll engrave your name myself on it, I promise. Maybe it will serve as a warning for those who think they can cheat Pharasma, and a memory for the living, who will be able to be, to dream and to love without your threath over their heads. It's all the eternity you can be allowed. Not more, not less than anyone else. Death is the ultimate equalizer.

    No, I'm not afraid to die. But to become like you...Thats the stuff of nightmares. Please Pharasma, don't let that horror be!

    It seems she doesn't even fire in the right direction!


    The smoke within the room appears to affect everyone, even the undead priest who, slashing at Ea...misses wildly.
