The following favored enemy selection
make excellent choices for rangers in the Serpent’s Skull

"....." undead
animal friendship
etc.
by the numbers....
aberrations 53 critters

Longer answer would involve RP through your second meeting with Holmburg, etc. - which I can't do justice to on holidays.
So you'll just have to assume that the translated books arrive by courier and you can start reading them - and able to master sufficient for benefits within the downtime.

I am still around.
Sorry DM Voiceless
I currently recruiting for a home brew I made trying to get people to look at the thread. It is the Blood of Heroes Thread in the Online forum. Not putting link because I do not want to upset DM Voiceless who is also making a character as of last time I checked.

So. I got hit by a car...
I'm ok, a bit banged up, fractured wrist, couple cuts. But since I lost a chunk of ring finger I probably won't want to type much at least for awhile. So I guess you don't have your arrogant swordlord prettyboy back yet lol...
Gotta love life throwing terrible crap at you.
Best few months ever.

Ok, thanks to bandages and copious painkillers. I'm ready to post. My personal thought (if Voice approves) is to simply retcon Cort into having caught a nasty bout of Malaria in our last mission, with it not showing up until back at base camp, and thus being left behind by the squad. Someone could come visit me as I finish up recovery.
Forgive me my typos due to aforementioned bandages and painkillllers.

Cort - hook is fine if you'd like to work that in. Don't forget a certain figurine either ;)
Ok - I am now safely ensconced back home in KL after my month break, and will be kicking this Campaign back off into regular service. I'll sleep off the jet-lag and cantankerous toddler torment tonight and get the next in-game post up come morning.
Looking forward to re-introducing old friends and spinning off into the slightly cyclopeanized Serpent Skull to come ;)

The gold was 5,000 in total from job completion, up to you to split. There was also the loot collected while on the job.
Technically the tomes aren't back yet :P - but the details are back towards the start of the current gameplay thread and discussions thereafter.
Blaze's was originally put together before you became a magus - so is likely open to some adjustments.
Cort - feel free to join in the fun straight away if you like, no need to wait.

Doc - I know what you mean. In the piratical PbP I'm in here I play a lame curse halfling Oracle. We were in a pub and the guy we came to meet did a runner.
As the others took off after him, I just shrugged my shoulders and sat down to eat their food. 15ft move speed hurts sometimes...
Blaze - if that's what you'd like then that's fine by me.

Blaze - if that's what you'd like then that's fine by me.
I would hope that's not all I gain via the book, but if so, then I'll take it.
Does anybody know if there's a way to gain Acrobatics as a class skill at this point, beyond taking a PrC? Originally, I was going to take Duelist, but the Kensai Magus is pretty awesome solo for me, so that isn't really an option.

According to Archives of Nethys there is but one.
Captain's Blade (Andoran)
Source: Guide to Society Organized Play
You were born on board a ship and learned to fight side-by-side the sailing men and women of the Andoren fleet. While on board any vessel afloat on water, you gain a +1 trait bonus on Acrobatics and Climb checks. One of these skills (your choice) is always a class skill for you.
Blaze - would a swift action arcane pool ability from the book to give acrobatics as a class skill be interesting to you?
Use a single point, which makes your feet look like they are on fire and gives a +4 to Acrobatics for 1 min/level.
| Memluk "Blaze" Seljuk |
Yes, yes it would.
So I gain Extra Arcana Pool along with this ability as what I learned from the book?
Also,
were you planning on having our special abilities scale with our level at all?
Finally,
I forget, but did you approve of my idea for extra fire/light spells known via that familiar angel thing we discussed before your holiday?
| DM - Voice of the Voiceless |
Blaze - yeah that's fine, extra pool points plus flaming dancing shoes ;) They are intended to be fixed bonuses.
For the familiar, that will have to wait until we get back out on the road. You'll have an opportunity to run into a being that may be sympathetic to your cause during the next chunk of the adventure.
