I do apologize. I thought I had posted but it seems it didn't take for some reason. I've been a bit too busy to check lately so I didn't notice. Okay, posting again
The group, minus Jaira, makes their way to Iezwalls. Upon entering the district, you find a shady looking street with heavily secured stores and run down alleyways. At the end of the street is a shady looking club. You are accompanied by your entourage of girls and then out of the alley comes a group of five thugs.
The lead swaggers up to you and has a virbroblade out and ready. "Hello there boys. Lots of lovely ladies you have there. If you leave them with us along with any cred you got we'll let you leave with your lives." These thugs seem really confident they can take you.
Your slaves show no signs of fear and even seem ready to fight at your command.
He shrugs. "Sorry girl but my investments go towards more immediate returns nowadays. Besides you wouldn't be able to get a job like the one I have for you without a good word."
Shanosuke |
Looks like the thugs are not amused at all by the insults. The other thugs draw vibro blades and one pulls out a blaster. The leader says to Venkru "I'll shove this down your throat! "
Round One Begins
Thugs get to start this party. At the moment they do not see your slaves as threats and attack the men first.
The leader lashes at Venkru and misses. One of his friends moves to engage Venkru and scores a hit doing 7 vitality.
One thugs moves to Kloh and swings and misses.
The fourth thugs attacks Sleen and hits him for 6 vitality.
The fifth thug trains his blaster one Venkru but due to the confusion of melee, he misses.
It is now your turns. Your slaves will act as you order them. What are they armed with?
Sleen Farro |
The thug dances forward, vibroblade flicking out and drawing a line of blood across Sleen's forearm.
Grinning with delight, Sleen's hands twitch and his blasters are drawn from thier holsters and pointed towards the now worried thug.
Primary Hand, Rapid shot
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Off-hand , Rapid shot
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
Venkru Vong |
"Bet this means there is at least another 15 of these idiots down those alleyways!"
Venkru takes it to the leader unarmed.
"If that's the best you got your in serious trouble!"
Sleen starts guns blazing throwing Venkru off his game to just beat them into submission.....
Unarmed Attack 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9
Damage 1d4 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
Lethal Damage
Yes blaming Sleen for that 1 rolled to attack!
Shanosuke |
In case you guys forgot, shooting into melee imposes a -4 penalty and when you are shooting while ajacent to a threatening foe, you provoke an attack of opportunity. I will assume those of you firing with a foe next to you five foot.
I will take this moment to point out that in the new rules, there are no AoOs unless very specific circumstances take place. We'll talk more about that in due time.
Now, round results!
Sleen five foots back and fires off a volley of shots at his attacker. The two shots from his off-hand hit and drop the thug (I rolled damage)
Venkru moves in with a right hook and misses distracted by Sleens ferocious volley.
Kloh swiftly steps back and fires a bolt right into the thugs face and drops him as well.
(Sorry Kloh. I forgot what weapons you equipped them with but blasters do 3d6 damage not just 1) Both Yayoi and Nael pull blasters and fire on one of the thugs in melee with Venkru. Yayoi misses but Nael scores a nice hit wounding the man.
(Sorry Venkru, I used a mock sheet to build Mwakina's character and forgot to take the blaster off. She isn't proficient with them really. So I will take her action for now. Again I am sorry.) Mwakina rushes to her masters aid drawing the vibroaxe she has. With a swift motion she cleanly beheads the uninjured thug on Venkru.
One Thug remains and he is wounded. He surrenders. "Please don't kill me! I am sorry"
Do as you like with him and then post your next actions if you please.
Your friend considers for a moment. "Well there is word that a tough group of pirates moved in here recently. It has port security all worked up and darn right of them. A large shipment of top quality droid parts is coming in soon and security is looking for additional pilots to help escort the vehicle." He then looks around to make sure no one is listening.
He leans in and whispers to you. "Word is the pirates are also recruiting down in Iezwall. It is going to be quite the scuffle." He then straightens up and speaks more clearly. "The freighter will be coming in a few days so if you are looking for a possible different job, I would look into it."
With no further info to offer, he bids you fair well.
Kloh Ryn Pul |
Thanks for the damage catch Shanosuke. I'll work on getting them outfitted with gear by this weekend at the latest.
Kloh held his blaster trained on the lone thug and nodded towards the downed ones.
Ladies, will you please gather everything of value off of those fools.
Nael and Yayoi holster their weapons and begin stripping the dead thugs of good gear and cred chips.
Venkru Vong |
Venkru advances on the thug, thinking he might try some battlefield medic tactics on the man to see what happens....
"Your none to bright trying to waylay people just walking. Did you have scouts who watched us approach? Do you have back-up on the way?....What's the point of your miserable existance?"
Venkru considers his wound which is already on the mend....
Venkru drops the man in disgust.
"Best I've seen so far is the bouncer at the first bar, not sure we will find anyone for our team here."

You find this thug is simply a thug. He has little to offer and there isn't much of value on him or his buddies. You get about 5 vibroknives a two light blaster pistols and a grand total of 37 credits.
Provided you don't feel the need to kill him, the thug runs off. You enter the cantina and are surprised by its stunning caliber. The lighting is amazing, the place is clean, food smells good, the music is catchy, and the dancers and serving girls are sexy. This place is definitely for the more bolder crowd.
Probably the best part is the Trandoshan bounce. He welcomes you in but upon looking at him, you get the impression this guy could rip the ears off a Gundark along with its eyes and arms and live to gloat about it.
You see a lot of people her, most of whom are armed and seem as though they could be a formidable fight in their own right. You also notice a hiring station being manned by a Duros and a Aqualarish.
A sexy orange Twi'lek barmaid approaches you. " You here for food and dancing or recruiting? " She asks you straight.
Shanosuke |
She nods. "We'll start with a seat then. This way." She brings you over to a table large enough for you and your slaves. She points to the holomenus on the table. "Today we got a special delivery of Corellian brandy as well as some Naboo Jazberry wine. The Nerf minion is the dish of the day." She then smiles coyly and slips another menu on the table. "And if you have any other special needs that need satisfaction, look here. I will go and acquire some recruitment information and return to take your orders."
Jaira Kizur |
Then when she finds a secluded moment, she'll send a message to Venkru to check out Iezwell's (not knowing that is where they are), then she will go find the engineer she heard about.
Jaira sends Venkru a message, <Check out Iezwells. Be careful.>
Kloh Ryn Pul |
Kloh had no need for entertainment but perused the menu for beverages. Fermentation having little to no effect on the water breather he looked for the intoxicating carbonated drinks instead. He looked up when Venkru mentioned that Jaira was in the saloon and gave the room a quick scan to se if he could spot her.
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18

The menu the waitress slipped to you contains a list of several illegal spices as well as names and time slots and rates for prostitutes. These things are expensive but I don't have a price list at the moment. Will update if you actually want something off this menu.
The waitress returns with two recruitment flyers. The first is for a pirate named Bojack, he has a big job coming up soon and needs some quality pilots, technicians, and a few decent soldiers.
The second recruitment is for a smuggling operation and requires discrete personnel and a ship with a hidden cargo hold. They will report to Thrakarzad. He is a normal Geonisian and not anything suspicious.
The waitress the asks. "What can I get you?"
Note, the flyers do tell you where to sign up.
Sleen Farro |
Sleen peruses the "specials" with an eye to determining the quality of the merchandise. Nodding with satisfaction he mutters "Quality joint."
Not realizing Kloh was probaly talking to Vendru, he says "I prefer the stand up fight rather than the sneaky action, myself.". He leans back and grins up at the waitress and orders a Corellian brandy.
Kloh Ryn Pul |
Kloh nodded thoughtfully at Sleen's choice.
More risk should bring more profit that's for sure. It would better insinuate us into the local pirate ring to boot. We'd be in good position to boost some talent afterwards too.
The gearhead leaned back in his seat and got comfortable.
Shanosuke |
The waitress takes your orders and heads off. She returns with your orders and also brings the special order to Sleen
She nods to a button at your table. "If you need anything else, push this button and I will return"
You enjoy the music and sounds of the cantina. Is there anymore discussion on the flyers?
Venkru Vong |
Venkru is more than happy when he gets the large brewed beverages and the distilled and concentrated beverage, he then drops the smaller into the larger and drinks it as the reactor begins to fizz.
He looks at Kloh.
"One of my favorites....at least the beverages are better than the talent."
Shanosuke |
Sorry bout that. For some reason I got the impresssion you went back to the ship.
You head down to a run down junk shop in the lower quarter. You are met by a Troydarian. He greets you warmly but you can't help but feel disgusted by his pungency. 'Greetings. I a Yutta. Welcome to my shop. What can I get you?"
You ask about Feid and he looks uncomfortable. "Uh well you see, he quit just the other day to join some fella named Bojack. I hated to see himm go but he is a really good mechanic. If you need to speak with him I can give you his comm frequency. That's the best I can do."
You leave the shop. Nothing in there is worth looking over. Quite literally junk.
What do you do now.
