No one takes cold damage from the extreme cold.
The trip to the gave is cold, and a long slog. The snow hides dips and in one case a deep crevasse - which Vorian nearly falls into. After some time you manage to make it to the cave. Judging by the opening of the cave it is made of stone. However, it is dark inside.

Qot pulled his heavy blaster rifle and pointed to the cave. He actually could see in the dark, but being on the frontline wasn't something a sniper was used to - much less him.
I thought that was the reason we brought the garbage can along. - he finally said to the Jedi, keeping his weapon pointed at the cave and ready to shoot whatever came out of it. He shook his head to the droid - I have your back, big boy. Right behind you.

A sigh coming from his vocabulator, D3-K0 muttered about the perilous life droids are forced to live by their fleshy overlords before making his way inside the dark cave. "Scaley meatsuit, recommend staying behind by 20 paces and guard the rear. If there is danger, your squishy insides may no longer be considered insides upon encountering it."

D3-K0 moves down the tunnel and comes to the bend and just looks around the corner. Seconds after he does so there his a scream from around the corner . . .

D3-K0's processors stopped for a microsecond, an eternity for something as sophisticated as he, before sending a brief message over his integrated comm link. "Attention, meatsuits. It seems that our new base is previously occupied. It does not appear to be friendly to neighbors. Recommend either finding a new cave to call home, or evict this tenant. Your thoughts, o' mighty leader of fleshy magic?"

Vorian will grab his lightsaber.
"We don't have the luxury of finding a new place in this cold. All of you, take up positions. Quietly. I'll sneak up and catch it off guard, then I want you all to light it up. Wait for my signal."
Vorian began to do what a good soldier should. He took cover at the wall, got low, got his electrobinoculars ready, and peaked around.
That was when his plan went out the window.
On seeing the man in the plight he was in, all thoughts of being too much the soldier fled. Vorian was a Jedi, through and through, and he could not let this stand.
My action is dependent upon how close the creature is. How far away is it?

Rissa looks at the Jedi, making her Boss-I-hope-you're-not-about-to-do-something-REALLY-stupid face. "Better plan is for us to light it up and you take it down when it charges us, Boss." Something pings on her rifle. "Ugh. Stupid recoil decompressors. Hold one." She fiddles for a moment with the gun, muttering under her breath as she does so. "OK. Good to go."
Using my Personalised Modifications talent: standard action to gain +1 to hit and +2 to damage for the rest of the encounter.

Qot moves without saying anything. He doesn't go far - he was already following the robot, so he just advances enough within the cave to see the creature, and lets the Jedi pass towards it.
Next, Qot goes in a prone position and aims at the monster, and then shoots it with his Heavy Blaster Rifle.
