I may have the opportunity to play in a Quest for the Frozen Flame campaign and had an idea for a character. I have come here looking for advice on how to go about building it from everyone here.

Concept: Goblin Wolf Rider. Once to the point of getting the Mammoth Lord archetype (given in book 3 for free) riding a dire wolf. Other than that I have nothing definitive. Ranged combat, Magic combat, or melee - no preference.

I was thinking the goblin ancestry feat Rough Rider.

If you are going to go Crossblooded, take some very LARGE steps to make up for that Will Save hit. Iron Will as a feat is almost a must.

Aside from that, I'd recommend the Vestige Bloodline to pair with the Sphinx. Take the powers in this order:

1) Sphinx (for your claws)
4) Vestige (increase bonuses from tactical positioning)
8) Vestige (Free style feat)
12) Sphinx (for Rend)
16) Sphinx (Spell Resistance and Maze has no saving throw)
20) Sphinx (immunity to fire and electricity)

Crossblooding with Arcane is good too, so long as you take the right powers for free spell buffing at the start of your rage. But, everyone is doing that. I like to do things a bit differently.

What would you do for the style feat?

Thanks for the suggestions. I will look over the vestige bloodline. Not definite with going Crossblood, but say a suggestion elsewhere about it.

Hello Everyone!

I maybe able to get into an upcoming game of Mummy's Mask and need some help with a character. Most of my experience is with casters. I am wanting to try and play a Shabti Bloodrager with the Sphinx bloodline - mostly fitting a theme. I have read about possibly doing crossblood with arcane. However, to be honest I have no experience with a bloodrager, it seems interesting and has the sphinx bloodline. Any help with suggestions, build advice, builds, and maybe hoe some things work would be appreciated.

Had another thought - I know it wouldn’t get the full normal things, but would a wizard transmuter work with feysworn?

If I didn't care about Wildshape would a Feyspeaker druid work well with this, or the Nithveil Adept Druid?

Thanks for the suggestions all! Everything so far has been helpful!

I come here hoping to get some advice on building towards the Feysworn PrC. I have looked around and not see to much talked about this particular PrC.

Also looking for any opinions on the Eldest boons.

Sorry all, my computer went dead on me and I just got my new one. Once I get it up and going I will post. Again, sorry guys.

You can make the role and might know what or who the Sith were, but not necessarily the relation to Vader.

Just Darth Vader. Very few people know anything about the Sith. Those that know what Sith means believe they were wiped out by the Jedi thousands of years ago.

It's no problem, things happen. Quick question: would a droid with an integrated commlink be able to send a message without vocalizing out loud?

Yes you can

Sorry about your lost sheet, but at least you have the stuff from recruitment.

They are about 40 feet from the corner

D3-K0 moves down the tunnel and comes to the bend and just looks around the corner. Seconds after he does so there his a scream from around the corner . . .

D3 I took the liberty to have you stealthily look around the corner. If you don't want to I will ret-con.

D3-K0:
When you peak around the corner you see what looks like a male human hanging upside down from the ceiling. His feet seem to be encased in ice, and you think he is wearing a uniform with some type of ranking on it. Besides him is a large beast. The beast reaches over and rips the man's arm away from his body, the man screams and bleeds from his shoulder - and as the blood falls it freezes. The beast then brings the arm up to it's mouth and starts to eat it.

Sorry for the longer than planned delay. Things have been nuts since Friday.

As Holliday looks around the corner and Myralda stops and waits just behind Holliday everyone hears someone scream in terrible pain from further in the tunnel. And then something that can bes be described as a tearing or ripping sound . . .

Myralda:
Suddenly, coinciding with the scream, you feel a sudden vicious pain, fear, and panic through the force originating around the corner.

Holliday:

Sorry for the delay. Things have been completely nuts since Friday. Time for me to move things along.

After everyone finds a seat the lights darken and an image is displayed by the holo projector.

I am Darth Marr. Knowing that history is written by the victors, or the survivors, you will no doubt have no idea who I am, or what the meaning of the title Darth. I am a member of the Dark Council, the body that currently rules the Sith Empire. We were originally lead by an Emperor who was, for all intents, immortal. However, he turned against all life. He destroyed life to extend his, and every living thing was a target – he even destroyed life on an entire planet. Even once he was dealt with, which took the combined power of the Sith Empire and the Republic, the majority of the Council was a destabilizing factor. There are intercine conflicts between council members, and many move against one another – even to the point of having their fellows killed. Because of this I have forseen that the Empire is going to fall.

Knowing this I gathered those loyal to me and loyal to the idea of a council that worked together, and did not try to kill one another. With out this, the Empire will never survive. To that end we planned for the future. We made this place so that when the time came it would summon you all, our descendants, those with the power to become the new Dark Council and rebuild the Sith Empire. On the table in front of you is the sigil of your family line, the same that was on the door to this place. Place your hand on it and declare your will to become the new Dark Council, and bring out the birth of the Sith Empire.

With that the image freezes, and seems to await something . . .

Sorry that it took me a little longer than I expected. Since last Friday things have been absolutely insane. Thanks for putting up with it!.

Some how I totally missed this when it was up.

I apologize for not posting in a few days. Weekends will probably be a little slow for me. Normally I would be making a post now, however I have had a very long, exhausting, and frustrating few days. With the mood I am in, and how tired I am, I might do something stupid as a GM. So, I am holding off until tomorrow after I have had some time to relax. Sorry all.

DRAGONLANCE RECRUITMENT

I am extending Recruitment to the 10th since I am looking for two players and not one player.

Are Clerics (or other divine classes) viable? Are the gods around? If I remember correctly they are not, but admittedly I could be mistaken.

I am also kicking around the idea of Vampire Pcs in an Armageddon Echo (second darkness book 3) campaign. Thoughts?

I would be highly interested.

Who is going into the cave and in what order?

What alignments are allowed for the Dragonlance game?

For those who can see, one way or another, into the cave it goes back aways and then turns to the right. Whatever is in there can not be seen before the turn.

I would be interested as well

I see you said no 3pp race, what about 3pp class (from d20pfsrd.com)?

I am absolutely interested

Myralda:
There are two life forms inside the cave.

No one takes cold damage from the extreme cold.

The trip to the gave is cold, and a long slog. The snow hides dips and in one case a deep crevasse - which Vorian nearly falls into. After some time you manage to make it to the cave. Judging by the opening of the cave it is made of stone. However, it is dark inside.

After walking down the hallway you come to the door. The droid pushes a button on the door frame, and the door opens. Inside looks like a well appointed, almost lavish, conference room. What looks to be extremely comfortable chairs surround a table, and in the middle of the table is what looks to be a holoemitter. My Lords, if you will take a set the message will begin.

I was originally going to change the droid's designation, but I decided to run with it.

Von-Dai:
You remember reading about droids similar to this one. The Seneschal droid, made some 3000 plus years ago.

Ignore my last post. I was thinking Pathfinder type saves, and that's not Saga. Sorry guys. That's what I get for doing it at work.

Oops, my bad. I will deal with it. That's what I get for doing it at work.

The team gets whatever gear together you are going to take and heads out towards the cave. It is tough going between the frigid howling winds and the snow.

I need 3 Fortitude Defense rolls from everyone, and 1 Reflex Defense from everyone.

Rima - Unless it was brought with you, then yes. Sorry.

After walking about 6 feet down the corridor lights come on, illuminating the entire corridor. The corridor continues forward another 10 feet before it ends at a door. Shortly after the lights come on a door previously unseen, and perfectly blended into the wall, opens and out steps a droid.

Greetings Esteemed Councilors. Welcome, I have been waiting for you for quite some time. I am 2V-R8. I have been tasked to be the council's Seneschal. Please come this way. He then starts walking towardsthe door at the end of the corridor.

GM- any usable equipment we can salvage?

Oops, meant to post this with my last post. Sorry.

Equipment on the Casualties:

Clone Commando Gear (x6) -

Blaster Pistol, Light Reapeating Blaster Rifle, Frag Grenades (2), Ion Grenades (2), Vibrodagger, Utility Belt with Medpac (1), Charge Pack (4)

Clonetrooper (x7) -

Blaster Rifle, Charge Packs (4)

Aviri'savron:
You are not able to make a connection to the HoloNet, but you can see that there is a weak signal of some kind out there. It's at a good distance, exceedingly encrypted, and you barely even noticed. Someone does not want it found.

Exploding Ship -You have no problems finding away to make the ship explode.

Qot:
After a few minutes of looking you barely find what looks like a cave opening about 500 yards away.

Myralda:
In your attempt to sense the surroundings through the force you get an image -

You see into the cockpit right before the problems happen. You see the buzz droid detach from the ceiling of the cockpit, and somehow it was so camouflaged it was exceedingly easy to miss. It drops directly onto the head of the copilot and turns on a very strong laser cutter the lances into the clone's head and melts his brain. Just as the pilot begins to react the droid jumps onto the controls and starts destroying systems, and the drops and explosive device. The device goes off blowing the door of the cockpit and killing everything in the cockpit.

As the ship crashes into the planet, for a very brief moment, you feel some other presence in the force at the time. It does something that effects you, and the others of your team. The the presence is gone.

The odd thing about this image is that it feels like something that didn't happen recently, but a long time ago.

BX:
Once you make it outside and start looking around and attempting to do some sensor readings you notice a cave 300 yards away.

Breaker:
With the armor, it would take at least a few days.

Goggh:
As you fall against the door you see writing you do not recognize, and then you see 12 symbols evenly spaced around the door. Eight of these symbols are cracked and destroyed, while the other four look pristine. As your eyes roam over the symbols one of them keeps your attention. You have never seen it before, and yet it seems familiar - beyond familiar if that is even possible, almost personal. As you are looking over the symbol you feel your hand drawn to it, and after a moment your hand glides over and rests on the symbol. When you do that you can suddenly read the writing on the door -

Peace is a lie, there is only passion.
Through passion, I gain strength.
Through strength, I gain power.
Through power, I gain victory.
Through victory, my chains are broken.
The Force shall free me.

Then a male voice, strong and determined, speaks You are the fifth of the council to return. All the remaining members of the council have returned. The voice fades away, and you are just standing there with your hand on the door.

OOC: You now know the Sith language.
OOC: The headaches have gone away

Shortly after Goggh touches the door and steps back there is a grinding sound, with dust and dirt falling from the wall the door is in. Suddenly the door slowly slides to the right revealing a dark corridor. The members of the council have arrived spoken in Sith bythe same male voice everyone heard previously.

The Paladins, I'm good with.

The Dathomir I'm leaning towards no but you could convince me.

The Blackguard...no opinion so sure why not?

Thanks for the quick reply, very appreciated.

GM Wasted wrote:
Depends! Some would make sense, some wouldn't be super active in this time period...some might be around if you want to make a case to flub around with canon a bit ;) let me know what you're considering

The ones I have been looking at are -

Teepo Paladins

Blackguard

Witches of Dathomir

According to the Legends Cannon they are around during this time period. EP 1 originally takes place about 32 BBY - so that's what I went by.
