I had an ok weekend, didn't get to see my girlfriend like I was supposed to but hopefully next time. Most of the weekend was reading rulebooks and rewatching the Star Wars movies.

I haven't seen my family since the 5th of January. I'm stuck in Texas for a management course. Luckily I go home this Friday.

Umm, I already had posted since the last time you did SD...
A Star Wars sandbox game can be fun, especially if a plot can be created off of the players' actions. I once ran a fringe game with no plot apart from "keep your ship flying" and wound up creating a nemesis and a race to destroy Sith artifacts. And no one had made a Jedi, just one Force-sensitive. It was just the natural, organic result of the party's choices.

Me too. My highest level character is Graalen. I got bored playing it. Everything costs so much, I got burnt out credit farming to buy gear to be competitive in PVP.

It would be cool if there was some kind of electro-whip or other advanced technology weapons. Not really canon I guess though.
I think I just have a lot of GM pressure lol. Also, Ryn, do you mean SWTOR? Because if not, there are shock whips in this RPG.
Cool. I haven't played SWTOR in awhile. I meant this rpg. I only have access to the core rulebook and was wondering why there were not more exotic weapons choices.
Don't stress over GMIng. If you have fun we will too. Perhaps we can take turns Game mastering Saga adventures for the group so you can play as well. I have never seen a SW saga module or played this rpg, so I cannot help with any specific advice. Fun is contagious.To make it fun for you perhaps create a NPC that you're interested in and play along with us. I did that in my homebrew game. It keeps it interesting.

Scavenger's Guide to Droids (Droid stuff)

Power of the Jedi (I think that's the title, it contains a lot of Jedi & Sith related stuff, along with some alternate Force tradition talent trees)
All of them add new talents for the 5 base classes, new feats, and new prestige classes. They never add new base classes.
One of the big things I liked about Saga was that you were never locked into a single talent tree. You could pick and choose talents from multiple trees as you made your character. As more books came out, it made it incredibly easy for two people to play the same class and have different characters. It was very flexible.
EDIT: Threats of the Galaxy is another one, but that's basically a generic NPC/Villain codex. It only has a couple of talents in it.

I've not heard of Power of the Jedi. Are you thinking of the Jedi Academy Training Manuel?
Also there's the Galaxy At War book.
Power of the Jedi was the name of the book from the old d20 version, I think. Couldn't actually remember my name, and I was at work so I didn't have my collection to reference.

Is there a particular adventure path/module that you guys want to play? If so, I'll see if I can get a hold of it and run it on here.
Wizards only made Dawn of Defiance as Saga Edition's RPGA adventure. I don't think they made any stand alone modules, and definitely not any other campaigns.
Iridonian Darkness is the only module I know of besides the adventures in the books. Also, I have a character idea that I would wanna try out if I get to play: a Kel Dor Jedi Sentinel with dual yellow lightsabers.
I've got a barebones Old Republic campaign I might be able to run. It needs some fleshing out, but it's somewhat player driven. I can make backgrounds for most characters work, as long as they desire to at least help the Republic.
That'd be cool, although I might need to brush up on Old Republic lore, since I haven't had the chance to get the games and finish them. I know a few things about the era though.
I'd be willing to play an older Jedi in the Old Republic timeframe.
Perhaps, since my space opera western campaign went under, I might be able to run a SWSE game. It would take place roughly the time-frame of SWTOR. To simplify things, we wouldn't even have to recruit new players.
I'll cover the important stuff from the era in the campaign description. I'll need some time to flesh it out. I can take a look at it tomorrow.
I might switch from Kel Dor to Miraluka but not sure.
If I run one, knowledge of the KOTOR era isn't strictly necessary.
Warhawk, I feel like we're having a contest of which one of us wants to run a game. In truth, with wedding planning, I shouldn't start running a game. If you want to run yours, I'll happily play.
I'm really excited to find a great group who enjoys SW as much as I do. I would like to play a Quarren scout going bounty hunter that aids the republic. I have to admit that I am not extremely familiar with the era stuff, but I would be comfortable running pbp as well. Not competing just want to keep this group together and playing SW rpg.
