About Navik:
All Navik's young life was spent dreaming of starships and far off worlds. Born on the hot and hostile jungle world Rodia life was a constant hardship for Navik. His father Chido was a great and well respected bounty hunter who, having clearance from Grand Protector to leave Rodia, spent much of his time travelling the galaxy chasing bounties. Though Chido tried to pass on his skills to the young Rodian, Navik just never excelled at The Hunt and gradually the time between Chido's visits to Rodia grew longer. Unable to track or read the jungle as well as his peers Navik dis paired of ever gaining the Grand Protector's permission to go off world. At age 15 he hid in the cargo of a smugglers ship and left his home behind.

Navik quickly fell in with the Hutts as many of his kind do. He worked as muscle for Puullo the Hutt for a year before he secured a loan for his first starship an old claped out Ghtroc 720. Puullo put Navik in contact with Shettora the Hutt who contracted him to smuggle contraband on and off of Brentaal IV where the Hutt was expanding her/his share in the worlds black market activity.

Though Navik was a decent pilot he was no real match for the Empires finest and as they tightened their grip on the sector Navik had more and more close calls. Eventually his ship was captured and he only barely managed to escape in a rickety pod. He hitched his way back to Shettora's head quarters on Brentaal IV to explain his capture to the Hutt. Shettora was livid about the loss of the cargo and gave him a month to get the credits to reimburse her/him not only for the lost spice but also for the starship.

Navik bought passage to the Sel Zonn station orbiting Brentaal hoping to win big at The Credit Chip (the stations casino). He put all his savings on a couple of high stakes sabacc games, all the while getting more and more desperate. Of course all was lost, defeated he wanders the station wondering where he'll get the work to pay his debts or how he'll outrun the Hutts when his month is up...

Navik owes Shettora the Hutt around 12500 credits. Partly for the ship loan but mostly for lost contraband.
