Alaria |
Alaria huffs quietly and goes to search the cook.
perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19
Zayva |
Zayva noticed the others starting to search, and moved to help so they could get out of here sooner.
Searching: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
Just a quick search, like the others
DM Frogfoot |
Very well. In your searches you find enough gold to be worth another 750g to each of you, as well as 2 Cure Light Wounds potions, a cleaver that looks finely balanced for throwing (and has Zayva's blood on it), a spellbook, and a locked scrollcase. No sign of the key.
You wrap up your searching as Alec hears sounds of many stomping booted feet quickly approaching up the stairs. You all successfully beat a hasty retreat out of the window and down into the sewer passage again. Up in the tower you hear shouts as the bodies are discovered.
Beldrek is the last to arrive, landing heavily behind all of you as he jumps off the ladder going down. You stand in the sewers once more.
Zayva |
Her stomach settling as they once again hid in the sewer, she turned to the others "Which way to the lake? We are heading there next yes?"
Zayva |
As she waited for an answer, she took the time to look the others over, see how hurt they were.
I know I and Alaria are injured, is anyone else? Depending on how many are injured and how bad determines which method of healing I expend.

dm roll: 1d6 ⇒ 1
Muhoro: as Zayva professionally examines each of you in turn for injuries, you suffer an involuntary flashback of memory. You remember being strapped to a table, weak and delirious, as Zayva moves among the test subjects, repairing their injuries from the latest clinical experiments. The memory returns to you in a sudden rush from where it had been forgotten during your time as a test subject.

Muhoro |
Muhoro's eyes widen as Zayva moved towards him to check for wounds.
"No! Get away! I want to die...don't let them hurt me again..don't...let.....them..."
The wild look begins to leave his eyes, and his breathing comes under control once again.
"I am sorry fair Zayva. A memory...a very bad memory just came back to me. You were walking towards me to heal the wounds the doctor had, yet again, inflicted upon me. I remember begging for release...I am sorry."
The young Oni-spawn retreats from the others, wishing to be alone with his thoughts until he can get them back under control.
Zayva |
Her looks is confused only for a moment before she realizes what he was going on about. She gave him only a sad smile, letting him retreat and collect himself. She made sure he stayed within 30 feet of her, that everyone was within 30 feet of her. "To die, is to give up, which lets them win." She whispered to herself, as if muttering a mantra. A burst of soothing warmth and life expanded from Zayva to swirl around each of them. It healed on their wounds, if they even had any, before it vanished away.
Channel Positive for Healing: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 5) = 9 Including myself in this. Everyone heals 9 HP upto max.
Siri Aponavicius |
Siri holds up the necklace of barkskin, "Someone should wear this. I could use it, but strengthening my defences is not a great priority. Is there anyone who wishes it? And can anyone help me identify this wand?"
Siri will cast guidance and take 10 identifying the wand, hopefully Zayva will aid another for a 21, meaning we should be able to identify it is its CL 6 or lower.
Zayva |
"I can help." Zayva moved assist Siri with the identifying of things. "Are any of the other items enchanted?"
Wasn't sure if there was anything besides the wand that wasn't identified that was magical.
Zayva |
Though Muhoro wanted a moment to himself, which may be the reason he wasn't asked. But feel free to help out on this, she did ask for help aloud ^^
Zayva |
None here. Is that cleaver or anything else (minus the spell book) magical? Might as well work on them as we make our trek.
DM Frogfoot |
The manhole cover overhead begins to rattle as someone overhead struggles to lift it off, necessitating a hasty retreat down the sewer corridor. You run past where the drow male's body floats, down the underground river that forms the sewer system of Chaulnazeen. As you trek, you see giant rats the size of dogs darting away from your noises into the darkness.
I'll assume you'll progress to the lake on the map? Tell me if you decide to do otherwise. I'll also need Survival checks to navigate the underground sewers in roughly the direction you'll want to go. Give me...three of them, and I'll tell whomever rolls it how well you did.
DM Frogfoot |
Muhoro takes the lead after you all finish deliberating over the map of the tunnels. Muhoro makes a few wise navigation choices, but Alec convinces him to make a turn that he wasn't overly sure of after insisting for the third time that he knew where he was going.
DM perceptions: 4d20 ⇒ (18, 6, 10, 18) = 52
The tunnels slowly become less and less well-shaped as you progress. Just as one of you is about to speak up and comment about this, Beldrek suddenly shoots his hand out and grasps Muhoro's shoulder just before his feet break through a softer, thinner layer of stone into a deep pit beneath. The pit opens up across the tunnel, blocking your way entirely as you all jump back. The pit doesn't look like it formed naturally - and you see sharpened wooden stakes pointing upward from the bottom.
Most recently you had two choices before this pit cut you off. Right, or left, or back the way you. To your right, you hear sounds of a large amount of rushing water. To your left, you hear faint music.
