Grunt stands there for a moment slightly winded, his head cocked to the side slightly confused at the sight of Astein's hair. Thus he doesn't really hear anything at all being said.

Weird guy with cup wrote:
"-this man, to Scourge?"

Grunt turns to Nico and nods. He grabs the knife and puts it in his belt then moves over to the suspended Fipps, slightly perturbed about the hair. He "gingerly" picks up the unconscious Fipps by the legs and tosses him over the shoulder and starts carrying the man upside down to the deck.

Once we get to Scourge:

Grunt drops Fipps at the feet of Scourge and takes out the dagger and tosses it on top of Fipps. After giving Scourge a dirty look and bearing his teeth slightly with a little grunt,(well at least you might be able to guess it was a dirty look, orcs always have the "dirty look" on their face) Grunt turns and heads to where all the pirates are gathered/the ropes he was at yesterday.

Lorin looks with satisfaction as Fipps is dragged away and begins speaking to Astein

Aquan:
Astein, make certain that if Fipps doesn't get keelhauled that something "bad" happens to him. I must round up the others who tried to attack us, they will be my first converts. For they are weak of will and know what powers I can bring to the fore. Also remember this it will serve well in life, no pain, no gain.

Nico signals the thumbs-up. He wouldn't like the blood of a murder on his hands, honestly.

As he goes up the stairs with the others, however, he grabs Lorin by the shoulder. The skin of his hand is cracked and the flesh is somewhat shriveled, although the remnants of his healing energies had patched him up somewhat.

"The next time you decide to do that, please, PLEASE think. For once, think about other people. I know you think you're hot s&~&, but I'm not going to let you get us killed. Understand?"

His piece said, he continues up onto the deck of the ship to be assigned his day's work.

As Nico goes about to leave Lorin Grabs him by the arm

You think you will gain anything in life without pain? If you do you are delusional. My mind has been ravaged by Demonic power yet I still retain a symbolance of sanity. Enough to know that this isn't a crew of pirates with hearts of gold. You seem to thing that they are, look around you this place is as evil as Hell! If you want to achieve anything in life you must accept the fact that pain is almost always required. As for the reason I didn't just barge into the fight with my fists, it is this had they been allowed to rally and fight as a group your wounds would be many. By blasting them with the power of Dagon I put the fear of a Demon lord into them. They now know fear and will reckonize that Lorin Val and any associated with him are not easy prey.

"Lorin, pain isn't NECESSARY. You're the one that injured all of us, not LIFE. While I admit a fistfight isn't the best choice for avoiding injury, I heal quickly in a fight. Besides, I'm not exactly a pirate with a heart of gold, either. I did bring a knife to that aforementioned fistfight."

Do note that Bratix is not injured, I can shield some from the power of Dagon and I chose the person who I thought was most likely to be damaged by it, and that was the tiefling. Besides the point though I have a question to ask you. When the time comes and it will come believe me one way or another, will you do whatever is required to achieve complete and total victory? Can you go all the way, are you willing to put your fingers into a man's chest and wrench his heart out? For that is the only thing the pirates on this ship will respect: A show of remorseless savagery and strength. If there was another way I would seek it out simply for the fact that it would be less likely to get me killed. However fate only rewards those with the strength needed to grasp it by the throat and squeeze.

At this point, I should point out that only Fipps was injured by the channel negative... well, Fipps and your party :P. All the others had already left

As the group mounts the stairs Astein agrees with Nico, "Lorin, you burned us with your infernal energies. If it happens again, I will consider it an attack and we will see who is standing between us in the end. This is the last warning, you endanger us again, you become the enemy." Not caring to hear the reply Astein follows behind as Grunt drops his burden.

Standing over Fipp's sprawled form, Astein speaks up - addressing the crowd as much as Scourge: "This man tried to kill a crew-mate with that knife. We intervened to prevent bloodshed, yet he still lives to face punishment. I believe that yesterday it was said that keel-hauling was the penalty for such behavior..."

With that Astein joins the rest of the crew.

Either Fipps gets his due, or Scourge loses face by failing to follow through with what he said was the law on this ship. Either is fine by me.

Nico nods at Astein's acknowledgement and continues by replying to Lorin. "Of course I am quite willing to go the distance when it comes to taking control, seizing the day, gaining freedom, and all that. The thing is, not every moment is the best moment to do so. We are surrounded by enemies, and the group with whom we just combated Fipps and his flunkies are all in this together. That means we have to work together, Lorin. That means not using demonic energies to sear us and claim that it was you who did all of the work. We had that fight well in-hand. I suggest, if you are to use that power, finding a better way to focus the energies so that you may only hit hostiles with it. Next time you might get somebody killed."
With that, Nico strides away without another word, not interested in an argument. He's more interested in seeing Fipps' fate and standing beside those with whom he fought. Solidarity and all that.

Nico is, of course, referring to the feat 'channel smite', which allows you to use channel through your weapon. Either that or you should use Command Undead a lot :D

Channel smite isn't that useful though, at least without a trident

Lorin snorted in derision and quickly moved to follow Nico...time for a little fun.

Bratix is trying to avoid the entire Fipps debacle altogether and sneak into the Galley to work. :D
