MWAH-HA-HAAA

Patrick has PMd me and I think is modifying Amadeo (tiefling witch) for the campaign. Nothing from Taig.

RPG Superstar 2012

I'm going with an investigator. Would an infiltrator archetype (paraphrasing: investigates and disrupts groups from within, by taking the shape of people or creatures whose company he's infiltrating) work?

Three cheers for RoboChris! Gameplay is fixed, so we don't have to move!

It wouldn't NOT work, but I am not certain how much use you would get out of infiltration abilities. Let me noodle on it.

MWAH-HA-HAAA

So class-wise, we could have:
pinvendor: Slayer
CH: Rogue
PC: Witch
MW: Investigator

Sound right?

Tiefling Slayer reporting.

Legendary Merchant of Pins

Treppa, would you mind marking pinvendor the character inactive? It would seem that while the gameplay was broken it registered the test post attempts I made and named pinvendor a character.

That might work out pretty well, looking at the features. Note that CH is also going rogue.

You can never have too many rogue-types. :)

I'll finish up my character tonight/tomorrow and have it ready for review.

He's not a halfling named Dexter, is he?

Silver Crusade

Male Celestial Cleric of Myself 10/Radiant Servant of Me 10

When do we start?

MWAH-HA-HAAA

1 Feb 2016

MWAH-HA-HAAA

Oh, I don't know if you folks typically look at the Campaign Info page, but I am going to be using it heavily for this game so you have the current date and status. This AP is tracked week by week, so I will display the current status and probably spoiler the history.

So check it now and periodically through the campaign. I will put a notice either here or in gameplay when it changes, wherever seems most appropriate.

Dark Archive

Male Devil-Spawn Tiefling Witch 1

I'm here, just trying to get stabilized! Should have Amadeo tweaked soon

MWAH-HA-HAAA

Anybody have questions, concerns, judgement calls, characters that need reviewing? We going to be ready to roll tomorrow?

Silver Crusade

Male Celestial Cleric of Myself 10/Radiant Servant of Me 10

Will any details of our attendance at the protest be revealed tomorrow?

MWAH-HA-HAAA

In what sense?

/me is confused

The scene opens at the protest. What's revealed about your personal agenda is up to you. I will PM any pertinent info for individuals (or spoiler it). Does that answer?

Has the group decided if they're acquainted and going together or wandering down chaotically?

Silver Crusade

Male Celestial Cleric of Myself 10/Radiant Servant of Me 10

Yes, that is the answer I was looking for.

With regard to knowing one another, I don't know enough about the others' motivations to know what makes sense.

Do you see any synergies, Treppa?

MWAH-HA-HAAA

Hard to tell. The other group are all minor nobles or illicit spawn thereof, so they decided they're acquainted.

Patrick and pinvendor are both tieflings. That could certainly be a close-knit community. Half-elves are also in the minority. Not sure what taig's investigator is. Maybe you all met in low, halfbreed dives? :P

RPG Superstar 2012

Bub is a half elf, but he has disguised himself to look like a tiefling.

MWAH-HA-HAAA

See? Low dives are perfect.

M Half Elf Investigator 1

Bub is ready, I think.

Silver Crusade

Male Celestial Cleric of Myself 10/Radiant Servant of Me 10

Maybe we've encountered one another in the past, but are not actually traveling together at this point?

MWAH-HA-HAAA

And we're off!

Go ahead and post your character's description and any RP you would like to do. No rolls yet, we'll get to that later. For now, meet up with your fellows (if that's what you decide to do) or simply describe yourselves.

I will check characters during the week as we get through the intro.

MWAH-HA-HAAA

Battle map is up and the link is on the Campaign Info page (CURRENT MAP). If you have any problems seeing the park, let me know.

Individuals depicted are either guards (line before the opera house doors) or vendors/entertainers. You can assume the grounds are full of scattered people, some clustered in groups, others wandering freely. You can move around without much trouble.

MWAH-HA-HAAA

Well done, everyone! The casual group is keeping up with the intense one. Have one Hero Point. That gives you a total of two to start (one for this, one for the Broncos going to the super bowl (and yes, that's really your L1 hero point)). We'll run them as Pathfinder recommends, since I haven't used 'em before.

Hero points in PF

If you haven't completed your character builds and backgrounds, please try to do so this week. PM me or post here if you need a judgement call, and feel free to chat/coordinate with your party members on skills, abilities, backstories - whatever is fun!

MWAH-HA-HAAA

Did you decide if you are acquainted and are meeting there, or not? Shall I put setups in response posts so you notice each other?

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

I could always meet some of the folks while chatting up the crowd..

MWAH-HA-HAAA

Eeps! I neglected to mention that these "Social Combat" rounds are not listed in any sort of initiative order. Post freely. I just listed the names in order of posting.

If this threw anybody off, sorry!

You fiend!

MWAH-HA-HAAA

Schedule note: I'm finding that my schedule favors morning (sometimes ridiculously early morning) posting. It gives me time to read and digest the night's posts, review the adventure, and customize the next scene. Hopefully, it gives you time to read the post and think about it before you have to post at night.

MWAH-HA-HAAA

My apologies; I slept 11 hours last night and have to run to work without posting. Don't know why I'm suddenly sleeping 10-12 hours at a stretch if undisturbed. Will start setting alarms. :(

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

Sleep is more important than gaming. Get your rest while you can!

OK, still working tonight. I'll get an early morning post in when I'm fresh and have time to read and digest everything. Promise.

Problem was, I was supposed to be at my client's office at 9 a.m. and was awakened by her call at 10:30. :( I usually wake between 5 or 6 (or 2-3 some days), so don't set an alarm. I have plenty of time to prep a good post and get ready for work -- usually. D'oh.

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

Tiredness can get to you. Take your time!

MWAH-HA-HAAA

Operational question before we get to it: Would you all prefer to roll initiative yourselves, or have me put an initiative roll at the bottom of the opening post of combat? That way, you can start right in posting combat actions.

But I perfectly understand if you prefer to roll initiative yourselves. If you want me to do the rolls, I'll do them strictly in first-name alphabetic order of your characters every time, for consistency. I'd do party first, then bad guys/NPCs, then post the full init order.

I guess same question goes for pre-combat Perception, if that applies. Again, I'd have a consistent order.

RPG Superstar 2012

I'm good with that.

Badgah!

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

Anything that keeps gameplay rolling is good

MWAH-HA-HAAA

Life is totally kicking my a$$. Trying to get my head above water this weekend and return Monday.

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

Sounds like my life :/. Hang in there, we're patient. I

Legendary Merchant of Pins

After some deliberation, I'm pretty certain that Dravek is not the character for this game. As it is, I will withdraw him and allow the GM to decide his fate.

I will draw up some other PC options and present them in the next couple of days assuming the GM wishes me to continue participation. I will assume yes unless she notifies me otherwise.

My apologies if I cause any delays.

MWAH-HA-HAAA

I'm sorry to lose the character, but happy we're keeping the player. We can certainly keep moving since the new character can join the party anytime during this first scene. So no problem with a character change.

MWAH-HA-HAAA

New meds. x_x  zzzzzz...

They tell me I should adapt in 2-5 days. Hang in there. I am not dead, but dreaming.

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

Feel better Treppa!

Nice build, pin, and we can use the muscle. He looks good!

MWAH-HA-HAAA

Happy Easter to those who are observant. I hope the rest of you aren't stuck with a couple of feet of snow like we are. Finding eggs can be tough.

I've made some changes (had to drop my classes) so hope to keep up as previously planned from here on out. My apologies (again) for the delay.

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

No worries. I've had to put my own games on hiatus until the semester is over. Hated to do it, but really no choice

I used to run a table for friends, including my roommate. We've all moved to different places now, and she misses playing a real RPG. She has resorted to playing WoW.

She polled her WoW buddies and has about a half-dozen people interested in playing a Hell's Rebels game together. I can probably run it pretty easily, considering this group will be way ahead, but it might be a little tough with 6 noobs. They have varying degrees of experience with tabletop gaming but little to none with Pathfinder.

I was wondering if any of you would be interested in mentoring one new person through the first book of Hell's Rebels - helping with character creation, teaching them the ins and outs of playing their class, helping them level up from 1 to, say, 3? I thought if they could each have a mentor who would help them via PM, we'd keep the discussion thread relatively clean and they wouldn't be so afraid to ask what they might consider stupid questions. It's especially useful if you speak WoW, but not necessary.

I am going to make it core-only to keep the amount of material available to a minimum, so we won't get half-dragon summoners or anything.

If this is something you'd be able and willing to do, PM me please. And if you don't feel like it, don't worry! My roomie speaks both Pathfinder and Wow and can translate for me.

Thanks!
Treppa
