Totally accepting the Raging song. Then move to flank with Poog (which provokes an AoO from the brawler assassin), then attack him.

"Silverhex" Kess |
"Poog!" Kess calls out as she runs from her hiding place. Guess that's what we get for trying subtlety for once... the brawler thinks as she sprints forward, reaching into her pack to pull out a javelin as she goes.
Hearing Hakon's low chanting once more, she lets the music wash over her as she hurls the spear at the sniper standing by the ridge's edge. Then, as soon as it leaves her hand, she snaps into her defensive style.
Kess accepts the rage, and will use her swift action to activate Snapping Turtle Style

The second took the wind out of her gut.
The third hit would be hers as Poog roars on hearing the Song. The Song of Fury!!!!
She swings with all of her strength, her blade seeking flesh.
Kyra, Flame of the Dawnflower |

arrow to Poog: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 251d4 ⇒ 4
The brawler assassin tries to hit Oloch as he moves, but the half-orc is too quick and his punch only hits air. As a reward the warpriest hits him with his greatsword, wounding him deeple. But the brawler has no time to emit a single sound of pain, because Poog´s blade cuts with fury along the brawlers body, leaving a bloody mess when moments ago there was flesh and done.
The second assasin dodge the javelin thrown at him and fearing Poog almost as he fears what his master will do to him for failing, shots an arrow to him. The arrow wounds him, but the pain is not enough to stop him. -4 HP
End of combat round 1 and combat round 2
Everybody against the last assasin.
Hakon, the Skald |
Hakon's knuckles whiten as he tightens his grip on the twin axes. Letting forth a blood-curdling roar, he rushes toward the lone assassin with murder in his eyes.
Continue Inspired Rage 3/5
"Silverhex" Kess |
"Face it, you're outmatched!" Kess cries out as he rushes towards the remaining sniper. She stops a bit short of the archer, continuing to taunt it in hopes of drawing out an attack while preparing for just such a shot.
Moved token while drawing out another javelin with first move action, remembered how to Deflect Arrows with my second.
Poog the Pregen |
Taken 12
Healed 7
Takes another 4
Current damage: 9
Poog charges straight beside the last assasin and grins. Double Move
"Wanna try that again?"
Oykiv |
Rixian seems missing.
The sniper continues firing the group, but his arrow is deflected by Kess. After that, Ulisha starts reciting tales of bravery and courage to inspire you. But her tales last little, as the sniper can´t stand more than a few seconds when the group reachs him.
He´s supposed to fight till death, with very few probabilities to hit and do any significant damage
Being saved from the assasins, Ulisha greats you. You have my thanks, friends. This had been a hard fight if you weren´t here.
And now, let´s talk a little about bussiness. This is the Silver hexSays picking a sickle from her belt. An enchanted sickle used by druids millennia before. And it´s yours for a fair price.
Better than fair, indeed, because you have done lot of work to obtain the money, and even saved my neck
Poog the Pregen |
Poog stares at the sickle in Ulisha's hand.
"A Sickle? HOW's that useful in battle?" her expression betraying her feelings as the warrior woman gazes at the little thing......
Oloch, of Gorum |
"I agree with Poog, so what are you calling a fair price? Nobody wins if we don't help you and walk away to let the next wave of assassins do their work on ya."
Oh, we have Chronicles ... so are we pretty much done?
Oykiv |
Yes, this last quest is shortest due to you having already obtained information about Ulisha´s hideout. If not, you had to spend more time in Daggermark trying to locate her, and should had come to the battle late
Poog, a sickle usually only can be used for tripping, or hurting a little, but obviously much less than your sword. It will never cause the same gore.
But this sickle can also cast one spell in your foe. So if you find a mage, or a bard-she continues with a wink[/b]- then you can find your opponen not only wounded, but also blinded, or paralyzed, or whatever your wizard, or bard, can cast. [/b]
The she turns to answer Oloch. Well, you have obtained the money to pay for the sickle thanks to my previous work. So, if you don´t want to keep the sickle, you can sell it and obtain the discount I´m making you in gold piezes. Two thousand gold piezes not a low amount for a few days of work.
Poog the Pregen |
"Oh.....Erm....Thanks....." Poog stutters...
"Drinks?" Poog says after a period of silence.
Poog the Pregen |
"Tis but a scratch." Poog attempts to brush it off.
Hakon, the Skald |
"Seems a fair match for one of my axes..." Hakon says, examining the weapon. "Let's talk price.."
I'm assuming this is where the story fades to narration. Quite fun battles, throughout!
Oykiv |
Ok, lets go town for a drink. I think I have a day or two until someone hire better assasins, maybe more if I´ve seen in town with so many "guards"
Once in town, and after a few pints, a drunken man comes to Ulisha, thanking all the gods to see her alive. Ulisha pay in advance a few pints more, and goes to a corner to talk with the man.
For what you can hear, the man is Anwald Greenfelt, a venerable Taldan and former manservant to the Tullivor family. It was Anwald who whipped up the Revolution’s fury against Ulisha, whom he perceives as the cause of his former masters’ untimely demise.
It was Anwald who hired assassins with funds raised by the Revolution, but now he is suffering a crisis of conscience and don´t want Ulisha´s blood in his hands. So they are talking about how can Ulisha repair Tullivors’ honor, and how can Anwald speak in Ulisha’s defense, to convince his Galtan contacts to leave her alone, and cancel the bounty on her.
And here is where this story ends. Having saved the life of a friend, obtained a magic weapon a lots of money
