My wife is also allergic to mushrooms. My sympathies with you and your stomach this evening.

I just got it! But it doesn't instantly paralyze this time.
@GM: You're making us look pretty badass. I wonder if we're actually fighting level-appropriate enemies, since we've been sweeping them.Unless we fight in perfect coordination already.
| Hu Xiang Lun |
We might be, Hayashi. In the group for my face to face Kingmaker game, we ended the first encounter in the surprise round, and our GM keeps commenting on how brutally effective we are. Some groups just click.

I was using Megamind...so I don't know bout paralyzing.
"Oh yes...the 'Spiay-dur'. Even the smallest bite of... arachnis deathicus will instantly paralyze splat Ooah!
-Megamind@Hu:
I hope this doesn't spur our GM into the lengths regular GMs use to humble their characters!

Actually, these are supposed to be level appropriate. So I think you guys are gelling well. I might up the difficulty a bit because you ARE encountering these guys at full strength. I'll do a test run to see how things go.
Be unhinged, like some desperate, howling demon. Frighten us.
And do it again.

Oh, heads up: Hurricane Ignacio MAY be making landfall on Oahu Sunday (tomorrow). three days later, Hurricane Jimena MAY be making landfall on Oahu. soo.. ya, I may grow suddenly silent on Sunday for a long period of time (like more than a day). Or, I might not. Hawaii isn't known for its hurricanes, we only average about 1 every 10 years. We sort of had one last year, but El Nino years make everything wonky. It's certainly bizarre to have so many storms in so short a time. Although, my 3rd year on the island, we had 40 straight days of rain. that was fun.

Are hurricanes bad news in this case? Will you be ok?
I've never had storms through my area. Terrifying stuff.
| Dragonofashandflame |
Ignacio is a cat 2 and it has to go through Big Island to get to me. That's what happened to the last hurricane and it shattered over BI. But, it's supposed to be more deflected and skirt BI. Fromt here, it can go north and out of the way, or it will go between Kauai and Oahu and pound Windward/North Shore. I live in Wahiawa, so I should be OK there.
Jimena is a cat 4 and will happen 3 days later. Hawaii doesn't have a lot of infrastructure or support from the Mainland since we're small and out of the way. When the hurricane hit last year, it shut down part of Big Island for like 2 weeks. When Iniki hit in '92, the same happened on Oahu. So, it's a crapshoot?
I'll probably be fine, just letting ya'll know what the dilly-o is.

GM, I think we're overloading you (what with the reinforcements from the south, the ninja/bandit reformation, the construction, etc.)
But I was curious if we found anything during our explorations. The map program you use can also be used to add a lot of fun-looking icons.

I know. U didn't. There isn't anything special along the Lingshen/Shenmen border. The fun stuff is more.... Else. I didn't want to keep things close to the border, since Shenmen is so much larger than the Stolen Lands. Also, I nixing some encounter sites, and revamping others. It's all part of how this thing is going to be different than previous Kingmaker games.

Will update Xiang when I get home. I've had a busy couple days at work.
I can tell you I'n taking a 3rd level of Wizard, which gives me 2nd level spells, one of which will be entangle, because I'm a Wood specialist.

6 heroes + 5 commoners + 7 Bohu and his guys + 6 bandits + 2 shinobi = 11 + 13 + 2 = 26. you have almost 30 people there. There's enough food in the trading post (including Bohu's supplies). But, ya, you will need to find a way to feed these peeps, eventually. It won't be an actual farm, a small garden will suffice.
Shall we start using the kingdom rules in this case? Considering our kingdom's size (1 hex), and the supplies from Hayashi and Baolin (2k from Hayashi, I think the same from Baolin) grants us approx. 4 BP.
That can pay for our consumption (1 BP) for the first month, and we can pay two BP to create a farm and employ the bandits--that would lower our consumption by 2.
Ironically, that would do next to nothing--since consumption cannot go below 1). Weird...
We're also going to have to set up lots.
Looking over the Ultimate Campaign rules (which are Paizo's preferred Kingdom rules), I want to send you something, GM.
Please check your private messages in the next few days. I'll write up something.
