Hey, so I have a problem.
one of the characters in my giantslayer game has gone poof. And, I'd like to fill the spot.
if he magically reappears, then i'll just have 7 players in the game and adjust accordingly.
so, a bit [url=http://paizo.com/campaigns/BloodRageOfTheWastesAllOrcsGiantslayer/gameplay&page=last] about the game:
1) it's from the PoV of orcs. So, the races allowed are orcs or half-orcs.
2) it's sort of an evil game: to form their tribe, they found a pregnant witch of a tribe they wanted to form a blood feud with, cut out the fetus, dismembered it, and then ate it. Since they've left for Turnau, they've been a bit more tame.
3) In general, we'll be following the basic plot of the AP, just changing it for an orc perspective.
4) Current make up: Summoner (synthesist/blood god disciple), barbarian/witch(scarred witch doctor), cleric (undead lord), druid (saurian shaman), hunter
5) The tone is very Sword and Sorcery/Grim and Gritty. So, quite different from this game.
Send me a PM if you're interested. If I don't hear from anyone in like a day, I'll troll other places.

I have it on good authority that the druid is just awful and should never be played with by anyone. Just looking at him too long could turn all your rolls into ones.

I've never tried playing an intentionally evil character. Eating a fetus...
I'll rather take a BigMac--or some Chicken McNuggets, and that's saying something.

I was a bit surprised, too. The which did use her fetus to fuel her spells, though. So..... But, ya. It's different and not for everyone.

Woah. Mighty overwhelmed here. I expected something like this on level 8 or 9.
But then again, at that level we might get a parade as well. Sweet.
Ok, DM, I love sandboxes.
What can we do? Is there a writeup of the capital online?

Dragonofashandflame |

@Jian Xi. Sweet! But bummer at the same time.
@Hayashi. i haven't yet. I've pondered occasionally, but I'd be too afraid of getting a bit too mature.
Btw, haven't forgotten posts! I just couldn't get it going last night. I think i stared at my wall for like an hour. And hen, this morning at work (right in the middle of a discussion on mitosis) BAM! The whole post appeared in my head! So you will get it tonight as soon as I can write it all

Sweet. Jian Xi and Hayashi can be the passive-arrow-catchers of the group. I didn't find spellcut though.
On that note, I'm still thinking on Baolin's character theme (dragon split into several aspects). Anyone interested in taking this up?
I am willing to mutliclass into a Kinetist (water, specifically) to help Hayashi come to grips with the draconic spirit of water--whose power over reflections, flexibility, and dreams helps combat the nightmare influence of whatever oni is plaguing Hayashi's family line.
Any thoughts, DM?

Category: Combat, Weapon Mastery
You can weaken waves of harmful magic energy with weapon blows.
Prerequisites: Str 13, Cut from the Air, Power Attack, base attack bonus +9, Spellcraft 1 rank, weapon training class feature with a melee weapon.
Benefit: Once per round, you can use your base attack bonus in place of your total saving throw bonus for a spell, spell-like ability, or supernatural ability that either allows a Reflex save or is not a melee attack and targets only you.
Hey I get form of the dragon 1 at level 19 if I do take 3 fighter levels.
Spellcut seems perfect with how we are focusing on ki and stuff. Cutting the weave of magic itself setting my ki against there's and cutting where they meet...I promise I didn't get the idea from the wind scar.....

Agreed. It works.

GM, where did you get those delightful little sprites for Yeoren and her husband? I couldn't find them anywhere.

Military: We need mento protect and expand our holdings.
Nothing too fancy (or fanatic), average soldiers and mercenaries with good reputation and little ambition.
I say two military squads (or 16 soldiers). One squad at the fort, and the other in border patrols up to Three Trees until we can establish border-forts.
Three Trees itself should be supervised by us directly until they can form their own defense: they might not be so quick to trust the people of the South.
Civil Order: We need workers to build roads to Three Trees. We must also clear the grounds between the two rivers and set up fortifications (and bridges for quick transport) on the southern bank of the northern river, and connect them with roads to the fort. If we possess that land, Three Trees will be connected to us from the south and east. I say ten workers is fine, and we must be able to protect them from Yokai ambushes. Roads cut down overland travel time, and helps morale.
Minor problem--the region between the two rivers is either swampy or hilly. Neither helps construction.
We also need settlers from a similar geographic background to resettle and expand the fort into becoming a city. Some settlers will need to become craftsmen, some merchants, and some farmers.
Since the land is arable and watered enough for rice patties, it would be easy to attract settlers if we have some kind of writ of promise from King Huang that the markets will be open to our produce with good rates (or, even better, if the state promises to buy our product directly).
When it comes to settlers, we can either integrate them into Bai-Cheng's fort, or have them build villages around it (on the plains near Laozu's house, or the haunted house). This requires that we be able to clear the place thoroughly, however.

Baolin, get used to the loneliness of the party face; most of us have low Cha or are not noble-blooded enough to speak up.
And Hayashi is a ninja.
We don't do diplomacy.

DM, I think we're ready to return to our rooms in the palace and have a little downtime before we return to Shenmen.

It's fine.
DM, did you find the infinite shuriken holster, or something similar? And can I count it against my character?
