Ailetha Aurcalam |

Continuing her song of giants falling like trees, Ailetha moves around the giant facing Karlan and the jabs out with her invisible rapier.
Attack-rapier: 1d20 + 11 + 1 + 2 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 11 + 1 + 2 + 2 + 2 = 35 <--+1 Haste, +2 IC, +2 Flanking, +2 Invisible -- (no dex bonus for giant)
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Confirm Crit: 1d20 + 11 + 1 + 2 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 11 + 1 + 2 + 2 + 2 = 27
--> if crit confirms, use Butterfly Sting to make the next hit, hopefully Karlan's, an auto-crit
Bree and Celestra, help Kabal with the other midget. Karlan and I should have this one.
Ailetha's attack ends the globe of invisibility.

Ailetha Aurcalam |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Kabal - if you want to hit the one I just poked, you get a free confirmed crit. Whoever the next person to attack Orange is, gets a free crit, anyone with an x3 or x4 weapon would be my choice.
I think that it is 40' to the bad guy. With the Freedom of Motion, I do not think the difficult terrain should slow Kabal, so he should be able to charge/attack Orange with haste and his barbarian speed.

Celestra Zomesco |

Round 3
Celestra runs up and places her hand on Karlan and declares, "May the holy strength of Cayden Cailean flow though you."
Celestra uses Touch of Good on Karlan, granting him a +5 Bonus on attack rolls, skill checks, and saving throws for one round.

Kabal Breven |

HP: 121, FoM, Haste rd 3, Rage rd 3, IC, AC = 23
Blood pounding in his ears, Kabal snarled as the first giant went down and immediately ran straight at the next closest one with his axe raised. He felt light on his feet for the first time in his life and he cut through the brush with ease.
Charge Attack: 1d20 + 19 + 2 + 2 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 19 + 2 + 2 + 1 + 2 = 37
Critical Damage per Ailetha's Butterfly sting: 3d12 + 36 + 12 + 3 ⇒ (3, 12, 10) + 36 + 12 + 3 = 76
As his blade cut flesh he laughed a hearty 'Fee Fi Fo Fum, now youre dead son!'

Karlan Bladetwist |

As the second giant falls Karlan doesn't hesitate to engage the last one.
Lifting his axe threatening he demands. "Surrender now or die!"
Move. Ready action to attack if Giant does anything other than surrender on his turn.
Readied Attack.
1d20 + 15 + 1 + 2 + 3 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 15 + 1 + 2 + 3 + 5 = 42
1d10 + 8 + 9 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 8 + 9 + 3 + 2 = 31 Damage

Bree Longfield |

Yeah, guess the dice don't like me rolling for Sable. I've got to go out of town tomorrow morning and won't be back until Sunday sometime. May not be up for posting until Monday. I'll try to post in between now and then if the opportunity arises but I suspect that I might be very brain fried and wanting to do nothing more than lay on my couch and watch Netflix Sunday. If need be, I would prefer for Kabal to post for Bree, but if he is unable someone else please take over.

The last giant considers its predicament for a moment, neither advancing or retreating - he simply holds his club defensively and is clearly calculating his odds.
A horn blows from the town and there is the sound of stone impacting stone - it sounds like another larger attack elsewhere in the town - it seems that these giants were only an early sortie... you can already hear the screams and cries!
The Giant looks at the party, clearly planning on fleeing.
Karlan, up to you whether you are satisfied with the giants response or whacking him and continuing combat
New wave marked on Sandpoint map

Ailetha Aurcalam |

Ailetha looks to the others.
Sounds like more giants. We need to get to them and stop the attack on the walls. If this one returns we can kill it later.
Assuming someone else joins her, Ailetha will begin to run toward the sound of new giants.
With Haste in effect, she has a movement of 60', or a run speed of 240'.

Kabal Breven |

End Rage - Fatigued 6 rds. Haste rd 4, HP = 105. Move 140'
'Bloody hell...', Kabal grumbled as the giant turned tail and at how far off the other commotion sounded like it was; 'its going to be a long damn day.'
With axe in hand Kabal started making his way towards the next fight as fast as he could without winding himself.

Celestra Zomesco |

"Go back home to your fiends and tell them that nothing good will come from this attack. You started this, but we will finish it. You mocked me for wanting peace, but now two of your companions lay dead. Is this what you wanted?"
Celestra leaves with those last words and runs toward the next attack.
With haste, move is 70 ft.

Celestra feels the giant had its ears open this time...

You can all hear a lot of crashing and bashing (and lots of screams) up ahead behind the next row of buildings. Sable thinks it is three more Stone giants, and two enormous bears.
Allowing time to prep. You require a double move to get to the combat, so this would be the point to buff before sailing into another melee

Celestra Zomesco |

I have Blessing of Fervor in the event that Ailetha's haste wears out. I also have plenty of Bless and other minor things.

Round 8 - Move action taken by the party to get to the combat.
You arrive atthe scene of the commotion and take cover beside a shop.
Two more stone giants and three enormous and angry looking bears is demolishing the market place and running amok. Merchant stalls and traders carts lay wrecked and plundered.
This group of giants and bears is moving down the street and preventing anyone from escaping town to the east. They also appear to be robbing riverfront businesses and catching
locals as prisoners. Each giant carries a large leather
bag slung over his back from which you can hear panicked screams coming from.

Round 8
Hearing the giants, Ailetha steps forward (crowding with Karlan, which I believe is legal, otherwise waiting for Karlan to move forward). She then calls out to the giants, trying to distract them from their assault on innocent civilians.
In Giant:
Picking on the weak. Sad. I thought giants were strong and sought a real challenge.
She then raises her hand and causes sparkling dust to fall about the furthest, red, giant.
5-foot step forward
Cast Glitterdust so that it fully encompasses the Red Giant.
Range = 200 feet max, giant is about 150.

Round 8
Celestra grips her rapier tightly in her hand and runs closer to the bears, but takes cover behind the next building. She waits, readying her blade to swing down upon any beast coming around the corner.

Kabal Breven |

Fatigued 4 more rds. Haste rd 6, HP = 105. Move 140'
Kabal sighed deeply as they witnessed the new group of enemies having their way with the town. The big man was tired and wasn't quite ready to face off with more giants but he hefted his axe anyways.

Shifty |

The other giant sees a flying Karlan and throws a rock at him!
Attack 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (13) + 11 = 24 - which goes wide and crunches into the building the party is hiding behind. The bears also note him, but also his height, and they wait and watch... curious.
The blinded giant struggles to clear his eyes 1d20 ⇒ 1 - to no avail.
Karlan hears the screams change to the northwest, from screams of combat to screams of panic. For a moment he thought he saw some winged serpent speeding in like a crimson javelin but then it disappeared behind the rooftops - then a rolling wave of fire down a distant street confirms it all to be true - the Garrison has just been immolated.
The dragon peels westward.

Hoping that the bears are distracted enough by the flying Karlan, Bree creeps around the edge of the building and moves in next to Celestra. Ready to attack the first bear to come in range. Otherwise, she'll hold position until next round and move into a better position then.

Celestra Zomesco |

"Bree, I'm not sure what to do. I think Karlan needs my help, but I am not going to be of much help with my rapier. I simply don't have the strength that my friends do. Well, I've got to try something. Wish me luck!"
Celestra steps around the corner and casts Spiritual Weapon. The glimmering rapier attacks the green bear.
Spiritual Weapon: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 19
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
"Take down these beasts, quickly, Karlan. I think there are some worse ones coming."

Ailetha Aurcalam |

Round 9
Hoping to end this quickly, Ailetha moves with superhuman speed to approach the bear and strike at it.
Move 60' (haste)
Attack-rapier: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
While not a terrible strike, her aim is not very accurate (no clue if that hit).

Kabal Breven |

Fatigued 3 more rds. Haste rd 7, HP = 105. Move 70'
Still winded, Kabal was just barely able to get within striking distance of the beastly bear. He swung his axe and grinned as he felt it sink deep.
