Reiko takes a swift action to charge his katana with arcane power, and then moves to attack the giant blob of flesh with a powerful two handed chop.

"Take the woman alive! This means YOU Doran!" He shouted.
Antonio waved his torch at the creature, testing to see if it will keep its distance before he whipped his sword at the one attacking him.

Aya waits.
Jun keeps swinging at the mound of flesh hoping he can kill it, "What is this thing?"
Tisa looks at another "FLEE!"

The fleshy mound is somehow healing its self.
Indeed it is! We must slay it quickly then!
Round 4____________
"Blast it all!" Antonio swore at the sudden complexity. He didn't even know what the grinding stone sound was all about yet either!
Having (probably) killed the creature he had been fighting, he stepped towards the blob, feinted with the torch and thrusts into its body.
for a possible piercing damage.
AoO Cauis swings his axe as the clumsy attempt to pass him fails.

Round four
If that took the creature out, Cauis draws and throws a javelin at the fleshy mass, otherwise he swings his axe at the creature again (to hit is one higher for axe.)

Aya casts another Ray of Frost at the blob.
Jun puts himself behind his shield as much as he can to avoid the mound of the flesh, just barely keeping it at bay. Shaken a bit at how close it got, his return swing is weak and ineffective.
Back up and let me at 'em! These things are not going to take us down first. Cauis growls, swinging his axe at the one who struck Tisa.

Tisa grunts and holds her arm. She takes a full defensive stance.
Reiko growls in frustration, and swings low at the small creature that attacked him.
Round 5____________
Appalled that his thrust did no good, Antonio reaches out and holds his torch against the bulk of the blob.
for crush damage and fire damage.
Aya casts another Ray of Frost at the blob.

The fire blackens an area, and the giant living tumor recoils, even as the torch almost gutters out from the slime coating it. Though you can see numerous cuts, bruising, and areas of frostbite on it, the thing is clearly healing very rapidly...though not as fast as you're cutting into it. Still, it quivers and withdraws from the fire...still trying to get past Jun's ever-present shield.
The hideous little beast attacking Reiko seems pathetic, now, but it still tries attacking.
On Reiko's turn, he slashes again at the creature that attacked him.
Killing these creatures is a mercy... Who would be so foul as to create such things?
Tisa snaps out of it and tries to hit one with her morning star.

Ok...at this point (nearing the end of round five), Reiko has finished off the last of the little beasts...and though the gigantic tumorous mass has yet to land a blow (though it has made Jun sweat a bit) it does show evidence of numerous attacks on it...and it isn't hard to hit...though they continually heal.
Only the fire has made it recoil...but the damage was very minor.
It has purchase on the party's level...that was never much of an issue to it...but it seems ready to roll up over the five foot difference any time there's space for it.
"Antonio, you and the magic-wielders go after the woman. Me and Doran should be able to keep the blob busy, maybe even destroy it. We'll hit it hard and keep hitting it until it stops, then see if fire can keep it that way." Cauis offers a plan.
Ok. Aya prepares to follow Antonio
Reiko makes to follow Antonio.
Lets be quick, we cannot afford to let this one escape! he says smoothly, as he swirls his katana in the air, flinging the blood on it neatly on the floor.

Getting into the room, the group can see it's a laboratory...there are a collection of instruments neatly organized everywhere...and a metal table with a selection of small blades and other odd instruments on a small table next to it. A large case is locked in another corner...but the woman is nowhere to be seen...
"Right!" Antonio agrees with Cauis' plan.
After backflipping away from the blob, Antonio charges in pursuit of the woman.
Entering the laboratory, he stops and looks around.
"Where did she go?"
Considering herself as a magic wielder, she runs after Tony and the others.
Caius nods, "Let's have at this beasty then, Doran!"
Jun withdraws and limps after the rest, struggling to keep up
Aya casts detect magic and peers around the lab.
Reiko begins searching the locked cabinet to see if this is where the woman disappeared to.
This could be a secret door, I'll check over it.
Cauis grunts.
He lashes out, kicking at the blob.
