The goblins run wildly in all directions as they leave Sandpoint.
There are not too many people that were hurt. It looks like some were hurt by other denizens of Sandpoint in their attempt to leave the assault led by the goblins.
Malkavik |
hey Tor, looks like there was 20 gold and a healing potion on the goblin leader. Want to save the potion for later or use it on a citizen that was hurt. Looks like none of us were hurt so...
Mal will check a body for wounds that were probably not hurt by goblins to try to discern what kind of creature other than goblins could be involved

The goblin threat ended, Calin after making sure the little buggers had fully fled with Tal, returned to the plaza to help the townsfolk out as best he could. (via helping people up, or bandaging wounds or even fighting any fires that might have been started.) Of course he kept his eyes out for Riessa, he hoped she was okay and hadnt been in the press when the goblins attacked.
The fact the goblins had attacked kept mulling in his mind. How did they get into the city with no one noticing? Why choose now to attack when so many would be about and well to be honest ready to repel them. It didnt make much sense to him, at least.Seeing the folk he had been halfway guiding through the city. He spoke out.
"Anyone else think was abit strange even for goblins? I mean attacking a festival of humans where everyone was about and pretty much alert just doesnt make sense even for those stupid buggers." he questioned aloud.

As the town attempts to get back to normal as the festivities have been interrupted by the goblin assault on Sandpoint a large covered wagon rolls into town. The wagon has the insignia of Kayolin and it is large enough to have hold several people. Riding in front of the wagon are guards and to the rear are guards. A few smaller wagons trail with guards behind them. The wagons stop near Amiko's inn and the servants emerge from the smaller wagons and help those in the large wagon out and into the inn.
Calin Moonbreeze |
I cant help but to ask if Kayolin is a typo of Kyonin. If not no worries.
"now there is an oddity..." Calin began as the wagon rolled by the guards drawing some interest from him. "I wonder what business Miss Ameiko has with them." He said to no one in particular. Watching the strange procession.
Calin Moonbreeze |
Calin chuckled at the dwarf and just shrugged. "I will only take half-offense no worries Tor." He said now extremely curious about the elves from Kyonin. "they are all the way from Kyonin, I had moved here from there you know a few years back, I wonder what business they have so far from their home." He said aloud as he moved closer to get a better look. He wanted to whistle in appreciation at their graceful if not solemn movements. He glanced among the guards on the random very random chance he knew one of them somehow. One of the old trainees from the Greengold militia being a part of this guard seemed no stranger then the elves being there in the first place.

Zrax'ir Greenscale |
Zrax'ir stays with Calin, in case something comes out of it. "Maybe they have seen something on their way. If they are indeed from Kyonin, which is far away from the stories I heard." He checks his gear while waiting, and goes even so far as to sharpen his knife with a small stone.
Calin Moonbreeze |
"Indeed friend Zrax'ir, halfway around the world almost. It took me almost a year to come to sandpoint from greengold, then again the high magics of my mother's peoples is beyond my understanding. Think we could make it into miss Ameiko's and perhaps find out?" He further speculated only half enthralled by the turn of things.
Zrax'ir Greenscale |
"Not the worst idea... maybe this farmer Grump is around, and we can have a talk. Yeah, let's do that." Zrax'ir makes a final movement with his small grindstone, murmuring something in Draconic.

Calin, you recognize the heraldry as belonging to the House of Lantherion, a noble and a rich house. They have made much money out of being traders in elven wine and other goods and have homes both in Magnimaar and in Kyonin. In fact Illithor Lantherian has a seat in the Magnimarian Council of Ushers The mother passed away a few years ago but he does have a set of twins, Faderin and Elrawien, who if rumor is correct enjoy their wealth.
Calin Moonbreeze |
Calin's eyes widened a bit when the recognition hit him. "Its just a local branch of house Lanterion..." He began with a shrug easing a bit of his nervousness.
"They have made a fortune in trading of select elven goods, I wonder if it is the patriach Illithor, or oone of the twins. " He told the assembled group glad he recalled that much. Still ... "Should we check to see if Miss Ameiko had any goblin problems? make a quick tour of places to make sure they little cackling freaks arent hiding? He asked those with him.

As you enter the inn, those who are not elven, see the more elves than you have ever seen in one location milling around. One very distinguishly dressed elf is speaking to Ameiko and arranging for the family and their servants to stay in the inn for a few days, renting the entire top floor while another elf is dolling out payment.
Surrounded by many female elves, at a chair near the fire is an amazingly beautiful and lithe elven female with striking emerald green eyes and long blonde hair that has been braided in an exotic and beautiful manner. Her gown is very expensive and she wears a set of bracelets with different size rubies in them. She is dressed in yellow and black, with the motif of a wasp.

Calin almost turned around and left at that, for some reason he felt nervous suddenly, especially when the elegant maiden caught his eye. He couldnt remember what the sex of those twins were. He tried to think of the pretty raven haired lass he had been favoring and he literally couldnt remember her name at that moment. Almost in a panicked motion his eyes found Ameiko and he moved forward to her, intending to ask if she was okay after the strange goblin attack.
Going wait a bit to speak to miss Ameiko so the others can make their way in as well. *nods*

You are correct as to who the goddess is.
As the elven retainers go about their business you cannot help, Calin but think that the elven maiden is watching you but when you look to see if she is, she is doing something else. She is laughing and having a good time as her retainers pour her wine and wash her feet.
Ameiko will indicate that the inn fared well in the goblin raid and that she is glad that more damage did not take place.
In order to celebrate the Temple's dedication and the survival of the town against the goblin raid and to thank everyone for their hospitality, Lord Lantherion indicates that he will pay for an evening's entertainment, a gala dance so to speak, for the town as he pays for food and drink for the town.

The night passes away with much festivities. There is much wine and other beverages flowing in plenty. Ameiko and the rest of the town are happy to have this extra business take place in the town. Much more profits.
All of the towns folk and the elven people enjoy themselves. The Lady Elrawien passes the night drinking heartily and dancing with all of the people who ask. Calin gets the feeling that even though she doesn't approach him to dance that she is watching him out of the corner of her eyes. She doesn't seem interested in her dancing partners though, being more polite at dancing with them than anything else.
She leaves the festivities and the dancing continues into the late night.
A young pretty elvish girl approach Calin in one of his moments and discretly passes him a letter.
Malkavik |
In he morning, Mal will gather the party together and divvy out the gold he got from the goblin.3 gold each, plus 2 extra gold and a healing potion. I don't know what to do with the 2 gold except buy breakfast, but I think we should give Calin the healing potion since he was In the fray and might get hurt in the future.
Zrax'ir Greenscale |
Zrax'ir will participate in the festivities, but just barely. After trying to get a mug of dwarven brew he'll try and find this useless farmer that send hm on a wild goose chase. If he manages to find him, he'll rant a bit.
"So, the Sandpoint Devil, eh? Apsu's bloodied scales, that wasn't the Devil, that was a stupid bear you send me after! Granted, he is not the smallest judging by his marks, but still - a bear! Since when can bears fly? And all the other stories I heard about the Sandpoint Devil? That was a waste of valueable time for sure, time I could have spend tracking the real beast. Do you know anything about the area you live in? Bears... I swear... i paaftë idiot i, mund të arrijë ariu ju deri në mut."
After that, he'll try to get another mug of dwarven brew and make some (friendly!) smalltalk with Shalelu, if possible, since he heard about her wilderness skills.
Calin Moonbreeze |
Calin spent most of the eve speaking with those about him, talking a great deal about the initial goblin assualt and describing in great flourid detail how the crazed goblin looked when he attacked her, or how the blows of the goblin torches felt against his shield. He even described the heat and impressiveness of Miss Amara's fire spell, the skill of Talathels' meshing of sword and blade, and the accuracy of the hunter Zrax'ir's arrows. Malkavik's explosive fire bomb also got a detailed description. He was also feeling a bit drunk.
When the young pretty elvish maid approached, he colored as she reached over and slid him the letter.. it actually took him a moment to realize she had slipped him something and wasnt just randomly touching him. He made a great show of secrecy... or he tried to at least. He colored a deeper shade of red when he read the contents of the letter doing his best to keep it from sight.
This was certainly strange all manner of worries crossed his mind but he excused himself to 'relieve' himself and did his best to sneak up the stairs nonchelauntly.

"You know a bit about what maidens like I would imagine my lady... whats a good gift for a woman in your opinion?" He asked her hoping she could provide him an answer to how to woo that girl whose name still nervously eluded him in the confines of the bathroom. He was being super careful to not look directly at the noble maiden. In fact his skin prickled with nervousness he was afraid he might lose a hold of the soap which smelt of lovely flowers.

Such talent should not be wasted taking care of pack animals. You are a son of elven birth, even if your mother was not of noble birth. Yes, I make it my business to know many things. I hear many things in the Temple. I recognize talent where I see it, Calin Moonbreeze. And I see it in you. Don't worry about my twin, though he is protective he looked quite tired from the journey and is resting in another room. My father will be up for most of the evening and away.

This was more awkward than he ever imagined it would be, then again a noble elven woman was not how he envisioned certain things in his life taking place.
