"Let us make haste then, for time is not to be wasted."

Female Human Ranger (Spell-less)

Gripping her bow tightly Faerin nods, in focused silence.

Dark Archive

Do you wish to try and come behind the ambushers, and in fact surprise them, or do you want to trigger the ambush and deal with the enemies more dirrectly?

I think the plan is to sneak up on the ambushers.

Male Moon Elf Wizard 1

What Anwyn said. I'm sure we'll need some stealth checks... and hopefully not too many botched rolls.

Female Human Ranger (Spell-less)

Stealth: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24

Done

Stealth: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13 For when needed.

Stealth: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26

Dark Archive

I'm gonna need Kitao's roll as well.

stealth 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18

Male Moon Elf Wizard 1

stealth: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22

Added mine, although Aerflae will be further back if he can help it... better to fire arrows first if we land surprise on them.

Dark Archive

As you ghost through the darkening woods, you realize that you are approaching a significantly sized band of goblins and quite soon your eyes alight on at least part of them.

They are scruffy-looking and emaciated, barely three feet tall and dressed in ragged hides. There about ten of them, armed with stone-tipped spears and bows appropriate for their size. Their equipment looks completely different from that of the goblins you previously fought. They are intently looking in the direction you were supposed to come from, ignoring their immediate surroundings. It is obvious that they feel nervous, since their shoulders are hunched and sometimes they fearfully look at the trees, as if unaccustomed to being in the forest.

Anwyn whispers to Faerin in the Sylvan tongue, "I do not see the shaman you spoke of. If he is not here then we must capture one of these creatures for interrogation."

Female Human Ranger (Spell-less)

"I agree, " Faerin whispers back, "We pick one not to target."

Male Moon Elf Wizard 1

Aerflae does have Color Spray memorized, which could knock one out and allow us the drop on them.

Kitao will just shoot arrows or draw sword, just waiting on party decision

Done

Whispering softly as she Ihar'ryathlas points to the goblins, "I could try to entangle some of them."

Dark Archive

Guys, you have the advantage. The first round is yours.

Male Moon Elf Wizard 1

He whispers to Ihar'ryathlas: I'll daze, you entangle them.

Once he says that, Aerflae sneaks up and tries to catch as many Goblins in a Color Spray as possible (if he can get 5 into the color spray, they can all deal with the entangle).

If we get additional actions, he'll move away quickly to get back to archery range.

Roll 1d10, than 2d4, than 1d4

I assuming the goblins are within 440' range, and would target as many as possible that could be caught in 80' diameter circle.

While remaining low and mostly concealed by the trees, she holds her sprig of holly in her one hand, beginning slow movement in intricate pattern, with soft druidic words being spoken as she watches the goblins before her.

Slowly a goblin screeches at a plant brushing against his leg.

DC: 16, Reflex save:partial, thorns in area causes 1 hp damage for each failed save.

Will takes ready state with scythe in hand.

Male Moon Elf Wizard 1

roll 1: 1d10 ⇒ 3
roll 2: 2d4 ⇒ (3, 4) = 7
roll 3: 1d4 ⇒ 4

Aerflae sneaks up on the goblins and utters a few words of power, flashing bright colors across some of the goblins.

Three of the goblins fall beneath the onslaught of colorful spray. Thorns reach out from the snow-covered earth, scratching the malnourished goblins and drawing blood.

The rest of the party can take action.

Anwyn draws her spiked chain and moves next to the elf wizard ready to defend him from counterattack.

Move up next to Aerflae and Ready action to trip anyone moving into melee with Aerflae or herself.
Spiked Chain Trip: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11

Kitao shows no feelings or surprise at the strange magic but takes a shot with his bow and arrow instead.

Longbow 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
Damage 1d6 ⇒ 5

Female Human Ranger (Spell-less)

Faerin wordlessly targets one of the as yet unharmed goblins.

1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
1d8 ⇒ 8

Dark Archive

Kitao's arrow slays one pakemono on the spot, but Faerin misses. The remaining goblins scatter in mad panic, except those three who were downed by the spell.

Dark Archive

Just to remind you, there are three downed goblins who can not run...

Male Moon Elf Wizard 1

Yes. We don't want them warning the other goblins. If we can prevent them from fleeing, that would be best. How many remain in flight?

Done

How many got entangled in the area of effect?

Link me the spell

Done

Here it is: Entangle on D20PFSRD

Dark Archive

3 goblins who were hit by the Color Spray are still entangled. The others have run away.

Done

Who is to go next?

Anwyn turns to look at the broad shouldered elf who summoned the very plants to do her bidding. "Should you wish me to, I can...knock the goblin out without killing it." She states in Sylvan. "I would prefer not to be entangled as the others are, however."

Once the entangle effect is dispelled, Anwyn will move to the closest goblin and use her Shadowstrike ability on it. It will do Non-lethal damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 to it.

Kitao looks at the fleeing goblins "They will come back with more" as he waits for the listens to Anwyn suggest to take a prisoner 'Only lies come out of an Oni"

Done

We we get to level up, I going to take a skill point in Linguistics to add Sylvan to her known language.

It seems the entangling plants is also doing 1 HP damage per round they remain trapped in the area, and will last 1 min.

How close is one of the goblins to the edge of the entangled area to be able to grab it and pull it out? If necessary she step in to grab one and throw it out even risking being entangled.

While not fluent enough in Sylvan, she pauses for some time trying to figure out what the dark elf was saying, only picking out the basic words she knew so far.

To Kitao she responds, "I sure there be more, there is a definite increase of goblins in the woods of late."

Female Human Ranger (Spell-less)

"They may still have some useful information." Faerin replies in Sylvan. "move close and wait for the spell to subside, then get the one in the middle" she says to Anwyn as she targets one on the left.
