Yay!
Welcome back.
I'll get a post up later today describing 10(?!) days of what Dyrant's been doing. He'll likely start with upgrading his headband (after buying some equipment).
And we can confirm the monies from Glim's post, above, is what we're doing? Excellent.
Doctor Abner Svengalu Toffitt
Toffitt's purchase list during the downtime:
10,000 gp - keen on his dueling blade
12,000 gp - upgrade belt of dex to +4
3,000 gp - upgrade armor to +2
Doctor Abner Svengalu Toffitt
Welcome back, Chris. Looking forward to catching up soon.
Also, I forgot about Dyrant picking up Craft Wondrous Items. If you're willing to upgrade a belt and add a subtle little cudgel to the inner buckle, I'd be grateful. Eery how the Dex-build lover keeps coming back to the crafting lover for the same thing...
Dyrant Maynor, the Pre-Sainted
Ok. I'm back. Nothing is happening in the city for a week or two unless you provoke it.

Complimentary IC post coming up tonight.
Doctor Abner Svengalu Toffitt
I would actually like to alter my post somewhat: instead of another +1 to armor, Toffitt would like to:
3,000 gp: enchant his bow and add the adaptable quality
6 gp: buy 20 each of cold iron arrows and silvered blunt arrows
Glimmil
Glimmil's big purchases:
Glove of storing (10,000gp)
Amulet of natural armor +1 (2,000gp)
Add enhancement to full plate +1 : champion (second +1, 3000gp)
Total thus far: 15,000gp
Likely some potions, too - does Toffitt have the time to brew them?
Doctor Abner Svengalu Toffitt
I'm still negotiating some other things with GM_Chris—Toffitt will likely be available, but there's a chance he may be in seclusion somewhere.
Dyrant Maynor, the Pre-Sainted
I'm still taking it slow to give Gristle time. I should have another post or two up tonight...I have monies to spend and mean to use them.
Dyrant Maynor, the Pre-Sainted
737 gp Dyrant's Treasure from Sheet
+23303 gp treasure distribution
------
24040 gp
-6000 crafting headband
-5000 crafting loinbelt +2/+2
------
13040 gp left to spend
Finneas Glenn
Awesome work Chris, thank you for doing this. My dragonhide will cost 1650 less for providing materials and if I can sell my full plate for 750 I will do so as well.
Doctor Abner Svengalu Toffitt
Thanks Chris! Just a small note that's to my disadvantage: Toffitt's last purchase should show as 25,000+ not 15,000+.

GM Gristle--
Is there time for more crafting beyond the 2 weeks above?
Atol: did you want monies to craft more wands? We probably could use 2*CLW and 1*CMW wands made/bought. We tend to run through them pretty quickly, especially with SirShinesALot and ElDroppo the HalfOrc running into every sword, claw, and arrow that they can find.
Atol Lem
Atol still has two wands of Cure Light, one with 50 charges and one with 21. We actually use them very rarely (though when we do we drain them quickly).
A wand of Cure Moderate might be a good idea. With Atol making it, it would only cost 2,250gp and heal 2d8+3. Or we could go Cure Serious for 5,635 and it would heal 3d8+5.
If we're going to buy a wand for in-combat healing Atol would rather go for the Cure Serious especially as it really isn't that expensive (just 1,125gp each).
Either way Atol still has a whole week to craft so time is not a factor for this anyway.
Doctor Abner Svengalu Toffitt
Possibly best to give a Cure Serious Wand to another yahoo, like Dyrant or Toffitt, so we have more than one person who can do a quick heal-up mid-combat.
Glimmil
Do we want to possibly look at other kinds of wands or consumables?
Maybe a scroll of Heal?
Here's the potions that Glimmil was interested in, not sure how many of these Toffitt can make in the down-time to take some sting out of their cost.
--
Potion of displacement (750)
Potion of blur (300)
Potion of darkvision (300)
Potion of spider climb (300)
--
Total 1650
Doctor Abner Svengalu Toffitt
Toffitt would need to learn blur and spider climb. Certainly worth doing if you'll be wanting more of them in the future. (190 for scroll and scribing materials for each one).
Ack! I totally forgot that I need to buy a headband of intellect +2... Oh bank of Atol...?
Glimmil
I think these are worth learning, and have no issue springing for covering the cost of Toffitt getting the scrolls.
I'd think blur and displacement both would also be interesting to Finneas in potion form. A 20% or 50% miss chance could really extend his life.
As far as spider climb, I see that as more of fly-on-a-budget. I'm reminded of the scene where there was the cliff with the spider-woman and Glimmil hanging out in the lower area. He could've got up and joined the fight with spider climb for less than half the cost of quaffing a potion of flying.
I'm also for party funds going into scrolls of restoration, remove blindness, stone-to-flesh, etc.
Atol Lem
I'm also for party funds going into scrolls of restoration, remove blindness, stone-to-flesh, etc.
Stone to Flesh is up to Dyrant and I've already got a Remove Blindness. Restoration is 1,000gp if it's for a negative level and 100gp otherwise. Atol already has some diamond dust (the component) for casting the spell and I'm not sure a scroll of either makes sense. So how about I stick to the wand for now (famous last words)?
Atol will make the Wand of Cure Serious (5,635gp) during the second week.
total spent this post: 5,635gp or 1,125gp per character.
Dyrant Maynor, the Pre-Sainted
As I compose the story here, can anyone advise on any protections for the Cauldron Five house? Any protections while sleeping? Just curious for no particular reason.
I think Dyrant strips down to his loinbelt/headband (lest he lose their attuning) when he sleeps.
The ever-vigilant and non-sleeping Archon, Aralynn, keeps watch in the room, I think.
Doctor Abner Svengalu Toffitt
I'm not even sure Toffitt sleeps anymore...? It's not explicit in Mummification description, but he is twice-over immune to sleep effects. Maybe he just meditates a bit. Our domestic environment is much less fleshed out than in a certain other campaign...
Doctor Abner Svengalu Toffitt
Atol has consented to loan 4,000gp for a headband of intellect, assuming that one is available.
I'm just assuming that the other upgrades I listed were available, Chris. Is that correct? Also...
...Atonement? It'll be such a fun thing to stick in Dyrant's eye...
Dyrant Maynor, the Pre-Sainted
total spent this post: 5,635gp or 1,125gp per character.
I'm happy to contribute to this. Yay! Atol!
Hip hip huzz-atol! Hip hip huzz-atol!

Now would be a good time to make sure your character page and tag line are up to date.
Where is the link to this document? And could you add it to the Campaign tab?

Interesting article on Wikipedia about Irreligion/Atheism/Agnosticism in India, which I searched while chit chatting with Painlord about how the religious party members might respond to Toffitt's brand of irreligion.
My take on Toffitt and his relationship to churches has been from a somewhat more Roman Catholic perspective on atheism and heresy, rather than assuming this sort of syncretic 'it's all good' perspective.
Doctor Abner Svengalu Toffitt
I suppose that depends on whether it's actually damage, or just a change from one state of well-being to another...?
In other news, it turns out that I love roleplaying xorns. My table tonight decided to spend 78 gold apiece to help aid a diplomacy check with a xorn. So, +62 to their Diplomacy save later, they now have a xorn best friend for life. I can't make this determination, but I think Xorny has followed them all back to Absalum. Not sure if he's going to try to eat the star stone...
Doctor Abner Svengalu Toffitt
Not that Chris is seriously thinking of ruining Toffitt's class ability, but just to throw this out there: Heal has very specific effects that don't include 'removing class features.' :-p The text:
Heal enables you to channel positive energy into a creature to wipe away injury and afflictions. It immediately ends any and all of the following adverse conditions affecting the target: ability damage, blinded, confused, dazed, dazzled, deafened, diseased, exhausted, fatigued, feebleminded, insanity, nauseated, poisoned, sickened, and stunned. It also cures 10 hit points of damage per level of the caster, to a maximum of 150 points at 15th level.
Heal does not remove negative levels or restore permanently drained ability score points.
If used against an undead creature, heal instead acts like harm.
Presumably a heal check would reveal that Toffitt isn't suffering any of these afflictions, except maybe 'poisonied' if there's another affect about which I'm unaware. :-p

Time for investigation unless you'd like to just wait for the next set of assassins.
Uhm...are they likely to be equally unsuccessful and have better loot? ;)
Ah...just waiting for Toffee to rejoin us in the land of the living (though his status as 'alive' may be in doubt). I'll get a post up tonight.

"Maybe we could get some scones, Doctor? Since you missed the feast. What happened to your angel, Dyrant, I don't remember the half-orc beating her too. Does she share your wounds?"
AH FOR THE LOVE OF THE CUDGEL!!!!!
Don't we have freakin' Heroes Feast every day!?!?!?
Gah! +4 saves vs. poison, Atol!? Temp HP and all that?
Dyrant beats his head against the table repeatedly.
