Nayan calls upon his latent psycho psychic abilities and tears a loose rock from the foundations of the giant fortress. Finishing what Lad started, the rock crushes the poor rabid animal and it falls lifelessly to the ground.

Vol starts to move forwards through the rubble. As he does so he seems to be concentrating. He places his hands together then pulls his them apart leaving behind a glowing strand of force energy that quickly focuses into a mostly solid weapon that looks similar to one of Gilbert's sabres.

"Let's see how these dogs fare against my psionic sabre...

The mindblade costs 1 of his psychic pool to create. If the mindblade disappears the point is refunded.

The halfling drew his pistol and longsword and moved in behind Gilbert and readies his pistol to shoot around Gil at which ever dog enters his 20' range increment first.

I'm gonna spend a grit point for focused aim when they get in close. If I can, it takes a swift action but I've technically delayed till then so?

As a swift action, the mysterious stranger can spend 1 grit point to gain a bonus on all firearm damage rolls equal to her Charisma modifier

Lad moves forward, slow on the rubble, and fires another arrow at them.

You can't use focused aim, as it states it is on attack rolls until the end of your turn, you readied which ended your turn.

Lad hops up the rubble, drawing back their bow and sending an arrow sailing through the air, with a loud thud, the arrow pierces the poor hound deep into the breast and the beast falls without a sound, blood staining the ground.

As the blood seeps into the foundations, the remaining hound lunges towards Gilbert, its stride eating up the distance quickly. As it runs forwards, Lumpii fires off a bullet with a sound drowned out by the thunder. The bullet scores a deep wound across the dog's flank but it still stands.

The hound then bites at Gilbert, though the strange man nimbly voids the slavering jaws.

He puts his sabres away and pulls out a candlestick and candle as he heads to the tower. "I agree Vol it is good to get out of the rain" he reaches the doorway and pats down his pockets and then hisses almost to himself "Lidda what have I told you about taking stuff that isn't yours" Before asking his companions "Anyone got a light?"

Lad makes some odd squirms beneath her cloak, and after a moment pulls out a single match, completely dry. Given that she's drenched from head to toe, you can only imagine where she had it stashed...

She tosses it to Gilbert.

"You plan to stand there drawing other little beasties to us? Or are we gonna get moving? "

Having seen another doorway, Lad shows no hesitation and strides towards it, ignoring the small waterfalls emptying from her cloak as she moves.

Without a single word or arcane gesture Vol summons four glowing orbs of light. They seem to move wherever Vol looks.

As Lad heads into the tower and tosses a match to the fumbling Gilbert, Vol uses Arcane words to cause the room to glow in unnatural light, revealing thick cobwebs surrounding the chamber.

The northern wing of the tower seems to have escaped the worst effects of the collapse, but rubble still litters the floor and everything is covered in a thick layer of stone dust. Thick cobwebs cloak the ceiling and hang down the walls like gossamer tapestries. A single archway stands open in the southwest wall.

As Lad tosses the match the Halfling catches something from out of the corner of her her eye, though no-one else is the wiser.

From out of the cobwebs, a set of beady red eyes glares at the light and the sole intruder into its domain, with barely a noise it seems ready to pounce!

Lumpii ran into the room, gun and sword in hand, noticed the rest of his unit smashing up a little spider and decided to look around the room, either for more or for anything else.

Manly and Lumpii join the party with the spider at what seems to be the closing finale after teo solid hits from Lad and Nayan. The spider skitters forwards and takes a bite out of its webbed pray, fangs dripping.

With a mighty swing from conjured blade, the powerful mystic man Vol takes the spider's legs off on its right side, with a final twitch and a pulse of ichor, the creature dies pitifully.

Out of Combat!

A search of the area reveals A small cocoon hanging in the webs, holding the remains of an unfortunate dog that fell into the spider’s clutches. The desiccated carcass is still wearing its leather collar, which is studded with lapis lazuli stones and has a silver tag reading “Kita.”

The rest of the base of the tower appears clear for now, you find an ancient door leading to a spiral staircase at the centre of the tower and the crumbled walls on the south side lead to another floor.

"You're welcome Lad. I would never let an ally face enemies on their own." says Vol with a nod.

He gives the spider a kick to make sure it's really dead.

"Neither the dogs or the spider will be upsetting anyone else from now on."

Once he's sure the creature won't be moving he maneuvers his summoned lights through the doorway to the next room. Following them in he starts to look around checking for any signs of the missing pathfinder.

Lumpii wanders over to the dog in the cocoon and with a sad face removes it's collar.

"You never no pup, maybe your owner might still be looking for you. I'll make sure they get this back if I find them."

Lumpii put the collar in his little rucksack and rejoyed his fellow pathfinders.

"It doesn't matter which way we go while we're in there, were probably going to have to check the whole place over. There's a lot of damage and that Pathfinder could be anywhere. Lead the way , we have no time to lose."

Confident of not traps on the doors to this ancient tower, or at least those that have have long since become rotten and useless, the group press on up the spiral stairs until they come to the next level. Yet another door greets them, this too weathered with age and not trapped and so our heroes press open the door.

Racks for weapons line the walls of this chamber; above the racks hang various shields, pieces of armor, weapons, and standards on display. Most of the racks are empty, but a few weapons remain in place. A horrible stench fills the room as well, akin to the smell of rotten eggs mixed with the reek of an open sewer.

Two Lizard-men creatures stand in the room, seemingly bored and very young. Upon your arrival, they scrabble to their feet and pose menacingly.

Unfortunately, the flung pebble also goes wide, scattering off the rusted and decayed weaponry behind the two lizardfolk. Shaking off their weariness, the Lizardfolk with piercing blue eyes hurls their Javelin at the man in the flopp hat.
