As far as I know we don't have another bow either.. The one I have was in initial purchases.. A no str pull short bow to boot.. Hopefully a cannibal has one at some point..


The cannibals have javelins (crude) and broken scimitars Which has to be the strangest nerfing mechanism I've ever seen in a module, as it even lowers their damage, not that I understand how.


Allright let me look for another spell then.

Broken weapons are and were a favorite nerfing tool for Paizo^^
Seen that in quite a lot of adventures now.

@ drbuzzard, I don't recall javelins being listed with the cannibals, I will go back and check, but would you give us a rough number of how many we may have been able to find? It would be nice to have something to throw at the flying creature ;)

I'm a ski trip at the moment and posting when I'm back at my room. Since I'm here to be inebriated and ski (often both), that room time can be a bit rare.

ok, thought I should bring this to discussion,

Ivar has raged four rounds for 24 seconds. he has seven rounds left, and about two and a half minute's left of the 'enlarge person' and 'bless' and 'weapon of aww' (there all one minute a round and were third round)

So a couple of options,

Ivar can't get to the enemies on the path because it is clogged up with our people. Do you want to have him keep raging and folks move so he can spend the next seven rounds attacking the enemy on the path?

Or do you want him to drop out of rage saving them, and let you folks clear the path? Then hoping it takes the eight rounds he will need to recover from fatigue before the other tribesmen get there?

Or he could give up the 'enlarge person' so he can maneuver the path better, and then rage until he is out.

Drbuzzard, sorry if that seems like meta gaming. But we know there are more people in the village than these five or six. We just don't know where they are.

The problem is that the cleric can't end the spell if he's unconscious, right?

Is the cleric already below negative con and in need of that scroll we found earlier? or at -4 and the situation might still be salvageable?


The cleric is at -4. If I hit Ivar again solidly, he could go to negative con.

I hadn't looked at the map today, so nevermind, the cleric is screwed at this point unless the cannibals just roll horribly.


Is the map actually up to date?

Lalali has 3 spells left and might cast an opportune color spray again at some point. Of course some allies aren´t placed that well at the moment.


I don't think it shows the Halfling moving back by the cleric, but other than that it seems to be


So are we looking at a TPK here? Or are we just going to lose Janzadar?

We have four portions of CLW and one potion of CMD. Someone needs to pour the CMD down Janzadars throat. I will go post that in game

So other options than the one posted in game.

I guess Ivar could put away the axe, pick up Janzadar and see how far he can run...he would have four rounds left till he is fatigued, then no more running.

Any other ideas would be great!

Edit: Ran the math, I'm at 14 right now. I forgot to factor Janz'y and the Crow's healing spells.

Not trying to put a further negative damper on our situation, but every time you channel you are healing the enemy within 30' as well.. Might not have a choice just keep that in mind..


I'm going to start randomly standing up bad guys since most of them were not dead outright. However I also have no desire to track back and figure out their totals.

Oi buzzard, would you allow Piranha Strike to work with rapiers? If thqt's the case I might be able to solve the Peck's lack of damage output.

Failing that, any suggestions boyos?


Gain some levels and use smite. You already get your swashbuckler level as a damage bonus.

You also get access to weapon specialization and weapon training.

If you think a swashbuckler needs to be more powerful, you ought to check your meds.

Yeah, you've just got to figure out if you are fish or fowl.

I think that if you want to do damage, you either need to up swashbuckler levels so that you're getting that static bonus or if you're a paladin, you need to maximize your smites.

Right now, you're split between and not getting much besides the BAB and Dex to damage out of it.


Halflings have special racial feats which are quite awesome.
Also think you´ll be doing enough damage^^

Just to be clear I do know how hard a swashbuckler ends hitting and same goes for two-handed paladins.

A finesse swashbucklerdin? No f~%&ing idea but it's true that what I need are levels. Levels and a flaming rapier. Or a flaming, shocking, frost, acid rapier.
