Loran comes out of delay and grabs the keys, unlocking himself. That takes all round.
Forsythe I'm going to guess is delaying for now.
Gridlock burns off the last of his fatigue.
The guard opens the door and goes in, closing the door behind him. You hear the trumpet still sounding, and the sound of more feet in the guard room.

The door to your cell is unlocked, but Ash doesn't have enough actions to open it.
Temperance it's your turn, unless Forsythe or Gridlock come out of delay.

Gay Master |

[ Loran: 14 ]... [ Forsythe: 15 Delay ]... [ Gridlock: 7 Delay ]... [ Guard: 2 ] ||4| [ Herve: 21 ] ... [ unprepared guards: 18 ]... [ Ash: 17 ]... [ Temperance: 16 delay ]...
K.
Loran, you're free, unchained, but spell component less. You want to summon now? Do you want to move? Forsythe, Gridlock, if you'd like to act and come out of delay, feel free.
Temperance, you can see some, as the Tiefling moved to the door.

WhatWouldTemperanceSay |

Alright, let's get to them as quickly as we can, if I can aim it I can drop a sleep spell on them that should help even the fight. In the meantime, Loran, we should stand close together so we can share the one spell component pouch. You can have it for now since that one guard ran away.

Gay Master |

you can pull what you need, if you pick what spell you're going to cast, and then pass the pouch

Loran Charhaven |

Finally, let's get these a~@@!s. Maybe a distraction is in order, Temperance, see if you can get some of the other inmates to start fighting for us. Do we have a minute, I can bring forth my Spawn.
I will grab components for my ray spell, and move to the doorway.

![]() |

Throw me the keys! I have an idea!
Assuming I get them, I'll unlock my legs, then move over to the Ogre's cell to free him as well.
Your freedom is nigh, creature! Exact revenge upon our captors!

WhatWouldTemperanceSay |

Hey big guy, you don't have to be afraid of us. We're going to get out, do you want to come with us? I'm sure these guards have done bad things to you, but this is your chance to get even and be free. You can even join us if you want!
I come out of delay, and make a diplo roll to convince the meat wall to help us.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (20) + 12 = 32

WhatWouldTemperanceSay |

If I have spare movement, I move toward the door of our cell.
I don't think we should dally, we can take a few seconds to prepare, but the longer we wait the more those damned guards can rally
OOC:
I'm going to be gaming today, so probably have poor internet. My next action will be to take the components I need for the sleep spell from the pouch and follow the group to the guard room. If I can discern the distance, I'll time it so I drop the sleep spell right in the middle of where the room should be when one of these dark-visioners opens the door. It's a DC19 will save, no extra bells or whistles.
Oh, and if you rule that my tattoo familiar is not with me, then take 3 off that last diplo roll. But it's just a tattoo, so unless they suspected what it was and burned it off...well, I should just shut up and stop giving you reason to scar my character.

Gay Master |

All of your legs are unlocked. Ash only needed one roll to free you from leg chains. I'll get to the rest when I'm fully awake.

Gay Master |

Forsythe, you're right next to Ash who just unlocked the cell door. So you grab the keys out of the door, push it open , and walk over to the other door, to the ogre-things cell. You get over to his cell with the keys this round.
Temperance, you come out of delay and try to convince the meat wall to help you. You grab sleep components from your pouch as well. You don't have your familiar ( box text. casters don't have their familiars, spellbooks or bonded items. ) You'll move up next round.
Loran, With the cell door open, you grab your ray components and move out into the hallway. you're 25ft. from the guard's door, right in front of the cell door to 18b.
i'll update the map later if i can. trying to give visual cues to which square your'e in now if you move.
[ Gridlock: 7 Delay ]... [ Guard: 2 ] ||4| [ Herve: 21 ] ... [ unprepared guards: 18 ]... [ Ash: 17 ]...[ Forsythe: 15 Delay ]... [ Temperance: 14 ]... [ Loran: 13 ]... [ Grumblejack: 10 ]...
Gridlock, your turn. The cell door is open. Forsythe went down the hall toward the ogre, Loran went towards the guard room. Forsythe still has the veil with the daggers on it. There's the chain on the ground that held all your feet bound, otherwise nothing in here. you're all free of restraints.
Map ( its TIFF,not sure if everyone will be able to see it )

Grumblejack_SPWW |

Grumblejack tired... , he says as he tries to stand up. after the third attempt he manages to stand, wobbly. and look between Forsythe and Temperance. You can see , Forsysthe, that he looks pretty badly beaten, though the blood looks at least a few days old. From the filth in this cell, its clear he's been here longer than 3 days.

Gay Master |

Gridlock txted me. He's moving down the hall next to Forsythe, and asking for a dagger from the veil. He turns the key in the ogre's door so the door is unlocked. The keys are in the door.
[ Ash: 17 ]...[ Forsythe: 15 Delay ]... [ Temperance: 14 ]... [ Loran: 13 ]... [ Grumblejack: 10 ]... [ Gridlock: 7 ]... [ Guard: 2 ] ||5| [ Herve: 21 ] ... [ guards: 18 ]...
Most of you see the guardroom door open. The guard that dropped the keys standing there with his club. Loran you just grabbed the components and got into position, you're not ready to cast your spell at him.
Sic'em! he says, and four hounds run down the hallway into the prison, and then the guard closes the door again. They rush to the end of the hallway, sniffing as they go and surround Loran.

Gay Master |

that's enough to hit it, since its flat footed and you're invisible. but it doesn't quit.

![]() |

Ok, so if the Ogre's free (on my turn):
You're free, creature. We would appreciate the help, but if you are unable, I understand. I hav no means to heal you.
I move+draw a dagger to give to Ash, and cast Bless affecting as many allies as possible.

Gay Master |

It's a move action to remove an item from the veil. You can draw a dagger, and cast bless. Gridlock is happy to take the dagger from you. You catch everyone in the bless. The ogre still looks badly injured, and hesitant.
[ Temperance: 14 ]... [ Loran: 13 ]... [ Grumblejack: 10 ]... [ Gridlock: 7 ]... [ Guard: 2 ] ||5| [ Herve: 21 ] ... [ guards: 18 ]... [ Ash: 17 ]...[ Forsythe: 15 ]...

WhatWouldTemperanceSay |

On my turn, knowing where I want to be (the empty space above cell 18c) and knowing how to get there, I double move toward the exit (and non-darkness). With two moves I can get outside the cell and into the middle of the darkness, the square right below Ash on the tiff map you sent out.
I believe I am adjacent to a dog that can't see me and which I can't see.

WhatWouldTemperanceSay |

Nvm that, typed my reply before seeing the updated map. Seeing that I can get to Forsythe I double move to there, moving slowly through the darkness.

Gay Master |

Check the latest map, 18c is your goal?

Gay Master |

[ Loran: 13 ]... [ Grumblejack: 10 ]... [ Gridlock: 7 ]... [ Guard: 2 ] ||5| [ Herve: 21 ] ... [ Dogs: 20 ]... [ guards: 18 ]... [ Ash: 17 ]...[ Forsythe: 15 ]... [ Temperance: 14 ]...

FlickMoon |

my next action is to charge up and attack the dog. before i run off though i tell the ogre
"if you joins us now i will guarantee that not only will you get healed immediately as we get the chance but we will all escape this mess alive, or you can sit here and rot till the next beating your call brother"

Gay Master |

[ Guard: 2 ] ||5| [ Herve: 21 ] ... [ Dogs: 20 ]... [ guards: 18 ]... [ Ash: 17 ]...[ Forsythe: 15, bless 1 ]... [ Temperance: 14 ]... [ Loran: 13 ]... [ Grumblejack: 10 ]... [ Gridlock: 7 ]...
Loran summons a fiendish dog ( the errata from paizo replaced riding dog with dog for summon monster I ). bite: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 51d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 vs. 11 flat footed in the darkness. the dog misses. but is summoned for 1 minute from round 5. it didn't receive the benefit of bless.
Grumblejack stands up on wobbly legs, and asks for healing and to be released, shaking the chains that bind him to the wall. strength check to burst: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14. he rattles his chains, but seems weaker than an ogre would normally be.
Gridlock takes the dagger from Forsythe and moves up to the dogs (move and a move), you can slash the dogs next round. if you just want to move and punch the dogs w/o the dagger, you can give me an attack roll.

Gay Master |

The dogs attack, Red and Green jumping over themselves in the heat of things to try and bite Ash, the Black and Blue dogs going for Loran's summoned pup. the 3rd die is miss chance. on a 1 they miss due to total concealment.
Red Dog: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 191d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 71d2 ⇒ 2
Green Dog: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 71d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 41d2 ⇒ 1
Black Dog: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 131d6 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 81d2 ⇒ 1
Blue Dog: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 191d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 61d2 ⇒ 1
Ash takes 7 hp. Trip: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Loran's dogs are missed.
[ Forsythe: 15, bless 2 ]... [ Temperance: 14 ]... [ Loran: 13 ]... [ Grumblejack: 10 ]... [ Gridlock: 7 ]... [ Guard: 2 ]... ||6| [ Herve: 21 ] ... [ Dogs: 20 ]... [ guards: 18 ]... [ Ash: 17 ]...

![]() |

I'll try and hit the green dog, since the red one moved away, then I'm going to back up a bit.
one more like that and i'm going down.
unarmed strike: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 101d3 + 2 + 1d6 ⇒ (1) + 2 + (2) = 5
Miss.
damn.
I need my alchemical supplies...
If the guards come in when my darkness goes down, we're dead meat!

Gay Master |

Red and Green have both taken some damage.
Forsythe, you're by the Ogre's cell, keys and door open.
Loran you've moved down the hall to Forsythe and Temperance (the pouch bearer), while Ash and Gridlock (with dagger) block the hallway so dogs can't rush by. Ash and Grumblejack are injured.
round 2 of bless.
[ Forsythe: 15, bless 2 ]... [ Temperance: 14 ]... [ Loran: 13 ]... [ Grumblejack: 10 ]... [ Gridlock: 7 ]... [ Guard: 2 ]... ||6| [ Herve: 21 ] ... [ Dogs: 20 ]... [ guards: 18 ]... [ Ash: 17 ]...
( i'll try and post an updated map after work or if i get a break and get wifi on my tablet. )

![]() |

(Ooc: Vincent, did you rule on whether my touch of in death ability would last long enough for me to heal the next round? E.g. Does it end at top or bottom of next round?)

Gay Master |

[ Forsythe: 15, bless 2 ]... [ Temperance: 14 ]... [ Loran: 13 ]... [ Grumblejack: 10 ]... [ Gridlock: 7 ]... [ Guard: 2 ]... ||6| [ Herve: 21 ] ... [ Dogs: 20 ]... [ guards: 18 ]... [ Ash: 17, darkness 6 ]...
b/c i like posting.
and b/c i just wanted to remind what is where ( since you don't have much yet )
One patch can be detached each round as a move action. Detaching a patch causes it to become an actual item. This veil contains:
• 2 daggers ( Gridlock has one )
• Bullseye lantern (full, lit and shuttered)
• Hempen rope (50-foot coil)
• Sack full of needed spell components (worth less than a 1 gp) (Temperance)
and common clothes in the PCs sizes
• Thieves Tools, Masterwork (Ash)
• Window (2 ft. by 4 ft., up to 2 ft. deep)
• Potion of cure light wounds
• 100 gold pieces
• Unholy Symbol of Asmodeus (silver) (Forsythe)
• dangerous chemicals

![]() |

If your darkness goes down, I have an obscuring mist available to me. But that's the best I can do. Ash, come get this healing potion! I'm going to attempt to free and heal our ogrish comrade.
Hand off veil to Temperance.
Move + Unlock ogre.
My friend, it will be (whatever in-game time amount to two rounds) before I can heal you. I'll do my best.

Gay Master |

Think I got everyone's movement.

Gay Master |

[ Temperance: 14 ]... [ Loran: 13 ]... [ Grumblejack: 10 ]... [ Gridlock: 7 ]... [ Guard: 2 ]... ||6| [ Herve: 21 ] ... [ Dogs: 20 ]... [ guards: 18 ]... [ Ash: 17, darkness 6 ]... [ Forsythe: 15, bless 2 ]...

WhatWouldTemperanceSay |

What the f&~% is the window on this veil for? I assume it's magical in some way, otherwise it would be pretty pointless. Hrm...wonder if it can open a passage through the wall. Hey, do any of you guys have an idea of whether any of these walls lead to the outside or not?...
I examine the veil closely, trying to figure out how the magic window would work.
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16
Kn:Arcana: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
*Whichever applies

Gay Master |

You think it might create... A window, wherever you place it.

WhatWouldTemperanceSay |

Sounds great. Do we pick a random wall or does anyone have an educated guess to make here? If you have no guesses, I'm going to stick it on the wall next to Grumblejack.

Gay Master |

[ Loran: 12, summon 2 ]... [ Grumblejack: 10 ]... [ Guard: 2 ]... ||6| [ Herve: 21 ] ... [ Dogs: 20 ]... [ guards: 18 ]... [ Ash: 17, darkness 6 ]... [ Forsythe: 15, bless 2 ]... [ Temperance: 14 ]... [ Gridlock: 13 ]...
Temperance, you examine the veil. if you want you can remove the window from the veil, and decide where to put it next round.
Gridlock stabs one of the guard dogs with his dagger. It keels over.
Loran, its your turn.
fiendish pup bite: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 91d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
fiendish pup is not having much luck hitting, even with bonus for being invisible a flank.
what would Loran like to do?

Loran Charhaven |

i would hold that window till we know we're at an wall that is an outer wall.
I will grab components for my tough attack, cast and hold the charge. Doggie will attack.
