You can tell easy enough the watch was not killed with a crossbow. A slashing weapon of some type did that

Spoiler:
Honestly I had forgot that, but as you did not have a set pattern, and it was just like a 2 or 3 hour window and the DC to hear anything was prob out of your range, I am just gonna say bad timing. Sorry about that. I'll try not to let something like that slip again

"A blade grew from his hand? Sounds familiar." Daurros says ominously, as he recalls the fights in the Lotus Dragon's headquarters and the attack on the group as they raced to Lavinia's from Kraken's Cove.

"More Riedran assassins. This needs to end, and end quickly. What did you say was in this 'stash' you found?" Daurros will try and keep himself separated from the everyone else as much as he can, to avoid taking a surprise attack from an unknown killer.

Spoiler:
Since Daurros knows how to activate a mind seed, is there any way he can examine someone and tell if one has been used on them?

"Let's see...." Karkalla begins rifling through her pockets and pulling everything out. ".....A bag of coins, some bottles of stuff I dont recognise pretty strong smelling though, A Crystal thing shaped like a wand and these twa Silver boxes. They were all in a box that as I said ta ya was hidden in the bulkhead near Anvers room."

Seeker, is everyone on deck now? Or are there folks missing?

GM

The only people at seem missing is the elf Fathom, The only way a mindseed would detect is if it was implanted not to long ego, as it is a instantaneous spell effect the aura does not linger long

You will not, that Grayson was around or near for alot of instances, like some of the accidents, the poison, he was listed as one of the few people in the kitchen. He has been on the ship since you left Sasserine. In fact somethings might fall into place, such as Avners and the slave girls stories not matching as it was grayson he claimed fetched them for him.

The more you think about it, the more i fits that your trouble maker had been The manservant the whole time. He just had access to the whole ship and was more or less ignored by everyone.

The warforged stands clammily,as Avner comes to deck looks around and declares "Damn it, what did you do shifter!"

The ship can be repaired easy enough, but you do not know how fair off corse you are or where you are. Need to make some navigation checks

Fathom

Spoiler:

You come though but the ship is gone, you do not see a wake, your eyesight limits you to objects so near.

Gonna have to make a series of checks here, without navigation as a skill, you gonna need some int checks..about a dozen of em as it could take you some time

"What did I do? Ya should be asking what your manservant was up ta Anver. He's the one that has been making a big mess of things and I stopped him."

"Grayson? He was a harmless fool before you murdered him, shifter. Your savage blood called for his blood didn't it you beast!" The noble yells.

"Your 'harmless fool' was using these," Daurros points to the two silver boxes Karkalla has. "Mind seeds. An insidious tool that replaces a victim's mind with another. A Riedran manufactured item. Either he was always a spy, or perhaps it happened at Greenrock. But he was no harmless fool."

GM

He starts to speak then stops and looks at the boxes"I..I have seen those before..." the noble says lost in though. The boxes are quite lovely, looking more like an expensive snuff box or jewelry case then the insidious things that are.

Daurros looks just a bit surprised, then asks him, "Oh? Please, Lord ir'Meravanchi, where? When? It is of vital importance!"

Fighter Level 9

From the sides of the group Ardanto was slowly drawing his sword as Avner started accusing Karkella of murder, but his hand stops before even an inch of blade is clear and he silently lets it slip back into his scabbard. "You have this under control he asks," aiming the comment towards Finn and Daurros. "Amella lets get this ship sea worthy pronto, I need to work out where in the world we are." He rushes off towards his cabin to retrieve his instruments and charts, but stops suddenly. "Where is the WITCH?" he yells, looking around at everyone else who is present. "Search the bloody ship for her if you have to."

Where is Fathom? Or is that hidden under a spoiler.

Ardanto will keep himself busy consulting the charts and night sky as he tries to fix their position, he will grab hold of the Gnome as well (I seem to remember he can navigate, or am I confusing him for some one else).

Navigation Checks I would prefer to take a 10, but I feel for dramatic effect this should be rolls, so here goes:

*Profession-Navigator +14 (+0wis +7 Rank, +3 Class Skill +4 Navigation Charts)
1) 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (17) + 14 = 31
2) 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (12) + 14 = 26
3) 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (15) + 14 = 29
4) 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (16) + 14 = 30

Who is the daddy! Navigation is my B##@#!

"Before you answer, Lord ir'Meravanchi, let us go to a more private area. This is business that the general crew need not concern itself with. Guard, Finn, Karkalla, Toxim, Ardanto; we should all go. Amella can handle the ... clean up, and get the crew back in order. She is very capable. After we are done, though, I think you should address the crew, Ardanto. They look up to their Captain."

Daurros motions for everyone to go to down below. "Karkalla, show us where you found the items. And I'd like to examine Grayson's corpse."

Seeker

Spoiler:
Daurros will go last. As everyone moves, he'll use his bonded ring to cast detect thoughts, which should be active for the next seven minutes. As they walk down, he'll focus on the warforged first, trying to get an idea of its surface thoughts.

GM

Daurros

Spoiler:
Avner is confused, and feeling betrayed and he does have found memories of a little Burnett, some graphic thoughts about how skilled she was.

The warforged, It..which you notice thinks of herself as a she, is evaluating the Falcon. She has pegged who to disarm first, which ones should be disabled, and so forth. She has marked, you, Finn, guard and Ardanto as the threats. Shes running though,,knockdown, disarm, stun, grab, disarm, knock pron...or take out with a series of hits, knock prone..disarm..or..... She also seems to be shifting as to where such a battle could happen and if so when.

She is not sure she can take you all, but is intrigued about the prospect. Your are unsure if she is planning such an attack or she is bored or maybe it is a just in case thing.

Guard looks sharply at Finn when he makes his 'joke'.
"She did help us with our supplies. The spellcasting she provided would have cost us dearly, in gold or men, had she not been aboard."

Looking at the half-elf some more, he adds: "But you know that just as we all do. Should it already be time?"
The question is obviously aimed at Finn, to not let the others know what exactly he means.

Upon reaching the bottom of the ship (and assuming the manservant is still pinned to the wall) Karkalla begins to point out things "Thats where I found the items hidden In that box there."

While you know the seas , you do not know the way of sailcraft. You are trying you best to find the ship with your limited knowledge of which way it might be headed. By the time your waterform leaves you, you still are along in the sea..as far as you can sea and hear.

End of day 1..make some more rolls or come up with a different plan

Daurros

Spoiler:

The boxes you know, the crystal thing looks to be some type of wand. While your not sure of what it does..it seems maybe to be conjuration magic..maybe, the aura is not all right but close.

You think the potions may be some type of healing magic, but one seems to be non magic and foul smelling.

Also Grayson is wearing a ring which glows of magic , moderate abjuration it seems

The body is much how she left it, he seems unarmed and dressed as he always seems to be. He is pinned to the bulkhead by a bolt, that he slowly seems to be falling off of as his body pushes though it. Blood pools at his feet.

He seems very dead and very much going nowhere.

Warforged Fighter 2 / Incarnate 4 / Ironsoul Forgemaster 3

While Finn examines the crimescene, Guard keeps a close eye on the half-elf, the face over Guards head frowning a bit.
Deciding to keep on the save side, he even concentrates to feel any traces of evil coming from Finn Detect Evil, but is relieved to not get a hint of that.

Ranger 2/ Magus 7

Following at the back of the group near Daurros, Toxim hopes out loud. Maybe Karkalla is right and we did, finally, get our saboteur."

Male Human Wizard (Universal) 9

Daurros pockets the boxes, wand, crystal vials, and slips the ring off of Grayson's finger. "All of these radiated magic, and I will need to identify what they are."

He looks at Karkalla and Toxim. "I wouldn't count on it. With the number of these mind seeds we've been finding, and the information in the books indicating spys (plural), I am beginning to suspect there may very well be several saboteurs."

Ardanto didn't follow the others down into the hold, trusting that they can sort this mess out with out him. He carries on trying to assertaine where they are and what damage has been done to the ship. He also feels his presence on deck will reassure the crew.

GM

We are gonna split this a few ways to keep movieng

On deck
Ardanto's presence does indeed seems to give the crew a much needed lift and they work hard to regain control of the ship. The morning sky is overcast and rain starts to beat down upon the deck. Ardanto looks into the sky and he just knows a storm is a coming.

More checks for thought the stormy day

Below deck

The warforg shrugs and looks to the others. Avner say "Fine give the damned shifter her weapons. Bugger all,it is so hard to find good help, damn" he says stopping back to his "room" to leave these matters to the group. The warforged tosses Karkalla her crossbow and fallows the noble.

Before the group disperses, Finn gives his opinion: "I can't see any other alternative than to have someone on watch above and belowdecks at all times, around the clock. Whenever we let our guard down for a second, the spies strike."

Later, Finn gives any help he can to get the ship back on track and ready for the storm.

Ranger 2/ Magus 7

Once it's obvious that a storm is coming, Toxim will go make sure Urol is brought below decks, that Thunderstrike is as comfortable as he can be made, and then help with the ship.

GM

Ok as it seems like our below deck stuff is over or mostly am gonna move on. Feel free to go back and talk just mark it as taking place then

Fathom

Spoiler:
the next few days are a lose for you. surrounded by the sea but unsure of where to go, and the storms batter you adrift much like driftwood. Always at the mercy of the sea.

You guess it has been near four days since you left the ship, adrift in the sea, beset by storms when you feel something amiss, something, wrong.
Your see the green as you smell it. The sea has brought you to land of a sort. The stench of sun-baked sea weed is over powering. But you now have some ground , if you count a vast floating isle of seaweed land. And the place is quite..but you hear a faint sound in the distance, unnatural sounds. Ripped sails in the wind and maybe the echo of ..voices, somewhere in the distance

The next two days are harsh on the ship, the storm is not a small one and waves crash along and across the deck strain the mast and ripping at sails and rigging. Day and night mix as an endless cycle of wind and rain batters the ship.

Below deck many crew try to stay warm and dry when not needed to battle the storm and Avner seems to endless complains and puke. The storm seems not to agree with the noble. Thunderstrike also take more looking after as the horse does not seem to like the endlessly rolling ship any more then its very green master.

The storm seems to let up on the third day and by the morning of the forth be all but gone. As the gray dawn breaks, burning away the fog something seems strange about the water below. They seem almost solid as if the sea had somehow formed a soft skin. The air seems dead as well, with the sails hanging limp with moisture from the rain and the now receding fog.

At last the mist begins to clear, and what is reviled is not the rolling vista of the sea but a wet green field of weed. The swath of dirty green stretches flatly in all directions.to the stern it extends perhaps a half mile, beyond which lays the mocking sea. In all other directions the weeds extend to the horizon. Trapped within ts vice are dozens of long dead ships, their hulls protruding from the sargasso at odd angles, masts askew, sails hanging in tatters.

One such ship lies mired only six hundred feet to port, it seems to be in better shape then others. Perhaps most unnerving .however, is not the sight or smell of sun baked seaweed. It is the unnatural silence, for the thick chocking green has robbed the Sea wyvern even of the comforting sounds of the sea lapping against her hull. It is not a healthy silence you find yourself in, but the silence of the graveyard.
