Having witnessed the little conversation between Lyzan and Saul, Kertria is a little hesitant. City people are so... Odd... But she resheathes her sword and nods, following the owner to the bar.

Lilica smiled at Gabsen, her face not showing hardly indication that she had even taken what he said into account. Of course she actually had, and was already trying to think of ways to worm in some people from the cult into Saul's business. After all, best to have like minds working here while she pursued her own business. Granted, it would take some work to convince them in the first place, but such details could be addressed when they came up.

"We can always meet up later dearie," she would say quietly to the Guard, winking at him. "I'm sure you'll find that I'm quite good at the stress-removal aspect. Perhaps you could wait for me to finish my little talk with Mr. Vancaserkin?"

The elf would wait for Gabsen's reply before kissing him lightly on the cheek and walking towards the bar.

Saul actually as opposed to going to the bar actually turns right once he gets back to it and heads for a long table off in the corner.

Pulling a rope on the wall as he passes a long drape flaps down behind him.

He goes to the far end of the table before sitting down and propping both of his short two legs up onto it.

After being joined by everyone at the table, Saul looks along the tables edge before apparently finding what he was looking for slightly to his right. Reaching out with his hand he bangs it down onto the table and a small hatch pops open revealing a small stack of cigars.

Taking a match from the inside of his coat, Saul lights his cigar and addresses the group.

"Name is Saul Vancaskerkin. This here is my gaming hall the Gold Goblin. Maybe not anything you didn't already know, but I always have been one for proper introductions. Onto that point, why doesn't everyone excepting Ms. Strigala make themselves known to me."

Yeah, why not. I'll go in the street, and wait for you. There was serious shit done and said tonight, by Calistria's honeyed cunt!

Lilica would follow the others in after her short talk with Gabsen, the same typical smile upon her face as she did so. When Saul asked for names, the elf would dip into a slight bow, giving a light flourish with her arm.

"A pleasure to meet you, Saul. My name is Lilica, and I'm a resident within Calistria's temple."

Warning Graphic explanations and Feels ahead!

Ternock can easly hear the conversation Saul and the others were having.

He will begin his meal quietly and carefully. Starting with the one eyed woman. Takes 10 on stealthing which gives him a 30 He figured he might as well eat her other eye just to make things even out on her face and since she held the blade that killed Balthazar, he takes her eyepatch as a trophy. Wearing it like a bandolier and belt.

He eats more around her throat, blood that is still warm oozes from the wound as if it were a jellied tart fresh out of the oven. He thinks back to his memories of Balthazar's and his short lived adventure as he moves down off the podium silently and slinks out of view next to the green robed wizard. His eyes stop on a bolt pretruding from the mans skull. Gray matter visibly got pushed out from the force of the bolt. He slowly licks away at it, as his mind drifted to his late elf friend Castian. They're team up was brief, 40 years or so, but it had been one of his fondest memories of his draconic life.

After licking at the gray matter for a few minutes, he moved to the two others that had thier chests cleaved open by a over-sized scimitar. Thier hearts slashed and in plain view, ever so slightly quivering as the nerves in the body slowly faded from existance. I will live a full life as you have done Castian. He thinks to himself as he starts tearing the heart of one of the men apart with his teeth. I will live for you, Balthazar... A small tear rolls down his scaly cheek onto the other mans heart. My friend...

Volk had been relatively quiet after some time having listened to the conversation between the Gendarmes ad Saul with a blank face . because smiling was sort of weird according to the small one. Which for some reason gave him the sensation to protect.. odd. Regardless, Volk saw that the authorities action was to kill the intruders, as such he abides by it.

Onc Saul had decided to give everyone's money back and Strigala's whole act with Gabsen Volk was saddened. How would he get his reward now? It was then that the man had called the defenders of the Golden Goblin to the room and Volk saw his chance.

" I am Volk Tulmere. The one who incapacitated a fair portion of th intruders with my 'dark' magicks. I was also the current winner of your previous tourney having made a proclamation to your.. Strigala. I was wondering if there were any way to be compensated for the goal I had in mind? Also, I'm not from here. Also, are we able to pick items up from the corpses outside as we please? "

Saul nods to each person in turn as they introduce themselves. After everyone has finished speaking Saul takes another long drag on his cigar before placing both hands behead his head and closing his eyes for a moment.

"Ok, let's see here. Mr.Tulmere, I thank you for your "dark magicks" contribution in the defense of the Gold Goblin. However, no one was about to win the tournament my boy, we were a good hour or two off atleast before anyone got close no matter how good you might be at playing a table. Now, onto your agreement with Ms. Strigala, you might find a Succubus will promise you quite a prize, but then again of course, there is no guarantee they will deliver is there? Whatever business you have with her, is between you and her; unless she comes to me about it."

"I am however glad you bring up the point on the bodies, yes, please feel free to take anything you desire off of them, it's yours to split amongst you all, a small thank you for your efforts tonight."

Saul slides his legs off the table now and sits up in his chair.

"Alright, to business. Maybe some of you overheard the conversation between me and Lyzan before, and even'n if you didn't you'd have to be pretty dense not to understand what he meant afterwards..The Overlord is trying like hell to get me to pay for protection, I'm the only gambling hall here in Riddleport who isn't on his books and he isn't too happy about it."

"Now you ask around town about ol' Saul and I'm sure most folk could tell you, I ain't always been the nicest of fellows. Few years back, I was a crimelord of this town, same as any of the others. But I had some..Let's say, *strong encouragement*" as Saul holds up his key hand. "to take up the straight and narrow and by and large I've done that. Paying in to his protection racquet is just putting me one step closer to back to where I was, and I'm not going back."

"But as you can see, I obviously need protection. Especially now as Lyzan has told half the town by now, I'm sure, that the Gold Goblin is a free meal to come and knock over as they please. Good help is hard to come by, those that can fend for themselves, even more so. So what I'm trying to say, is that I would like to extend to you all the offer of a job here at the Gold Goblin."

"You'll not be bouncers, I won't make that mistake again. I need a rougher lot, and the city needs to know that I'm employing a group of biters to keep them from trying anything like this stunt again. I need eyes on the floor too, people to run tables, patrol the catwalks, waitresses, bartenders, name it."

"In exchange, I will pay each of you 10g a week, and you may stay at the Gold Goblin in your own room, free of charge." Saul nods to Strigala "The same goes for you too Strigala, I know we had agreed to flag any rent until after the event tonight, obviously I'll be extending the same offer to you as I am everyone else here."

Saul looks around the table hopefully, "What do you say everyone?"

Hah! It seemed Zon-Kuthon was truly on her side today. Not only did she get to participate in some lovely religious activity, but the real target she had come here for in the first place was inviting her into his service! It was like he wanted to be abducted and tortured by someone he trusted! Regardless of this good fortune, Lilica would put on a look of consideration for a moment before replying to Saul.

"Well, Mr. Vancaserkin. I suppose I could accept your generous offer," the Elf would say as she cheerfully smiled at the man, spinning the Calistrian holy symbol in everyone's view. "But I am going to have to insist upon one other condition. I will be allowed to tend to matters of my faith here. I presume it should not be too much of a problem in that regard."

Strigala sat the box of potions down on the table, near Saul. Then she angled her shoulders back and arms at a diagonal behind her, allowing the straps holding the wings on to slide back and off her arms. She tried to catch the wings before they hit the floor, but missed and sighed as they slid across the floor on their own. Then, as though objects moving around her is nothing unusual, she reached down to pick them up before taking a seat.

She had noticed Gabsen was not following them, and frowned as Volk reminded her yet again of the offer he made.

"I was playing a character." Mostly an obvious lie. Much of the 'acting' had been more her letting her wilder side loose than actual attempts at faking anything. "Saul hired me to do a job, and I was doing it." She then blinks a moment before looking to Kertria. "I completely forgot your drink. I'm sorry for that."

She reached up to rub the back of her neck, feeling the strain of the day, and nodded to Saul's offer. "Unusual circumstances call for unusual measures. I agree to your terms."

Then Strigala picked up the box of potions from near Kertria and sat it near Saul.

"Is the Overlord behind tonight's robbery? It would be awfully convenient..."

Her eyes then looked at Saul's box of potions, where it sat near Lilica. "And I think we may need more of these now they the gendarmes know about them." She then slid the box over to Saul. "But, I may be paranoid."

Volk sighed and then proceeded to almost fold in upon himself his knees pressing up against his chest. His eyes lose any flare they previously had and seem to return to blank, dark almost emotionless stare.

" I see, so it was all a lie. That is much more.. in line with my reality. So the ridding the disruption was for naught. In that case I accept if only to have another chance.. or just the ability to take my boredom out on further disturbances. I will learn not to trust Strigala's words ever again.... " A clear sign a defeat and absolute darness reflected in his eyes

" I'll do what is needed, for now I need to go distract myself with some other task.. I shall collect the items from the bodies to distract myself until you need m again. Goodbye. " Volk stood up and with an almost assassin like emotionlessness went to strip the corpses bare.

I literally can't help myself on this one.

It was like Lilica didn't even miss a beat. The Kuthite would sigh at the end of Volk's mini pity-party, and then with a quick movement, she opened her top. Thankfully she had custom-ordered the outfit to open as easily as possible when she wanted it to, so such actions came extremely easily. So, without a single word and nothing more than a quick wrist movement, the elf was able to flash not only Volk, but everyone else at the table as well. It would take a moment or two to close the buttons back up, but the quick flash was all everyone got to see regardless.

"You can get more of a look if you do a few things," the elf would say as she buttoned the upper part of her outfit. "First, you stay a moment. We're not necessarily done talking here, nor do I like the idea of you out there pilfering people before we're all out there. Secondly, it'll cost you five silver or more, depending upon the activity."

Then without even the least bit of shame on her face, Lilica returned to looking at Saul, and simply waited.

Kertria looks at the others, somewhat confused. Pointing to herself as she looks back at Saul, she has an inquisitive look about her.

"You're offering me a job? Is it like this in all cities or just here?

She thinks for a moment but then realizes she actually has no place to go, and the village elders had tolds her to find out all she could about the Blot. Which, from the look of things, could take some time. So a place to sleep and earn some coin made sense.

"I... Accept, Sir Vancaskerkin. But I'm not sure what I could do... I'll figure something out, don't you worry about that, k?"

I have SPECIAL EYES!

Volk stops dead in his tracks, in that single moment h caught very curve drop and imperfection of Lilica's breasts. The pert nipples, milky smooth soft white skin, the delicious sway and under-boob as it laid upon the rest of her body, the sultry look that seemed to appear in that moment. It was a feast for the eyes and he would have lied if he didn't say he was not amazingly aroused. However he also noticed small hints of struggle or old wounds, less on the malicious mammaries but along the shoulders and neck. Rough play? He wasnt sure. The act however did catch his attention.

" I'm listening, so it will cost 5 silver? Which means you do it for cost and that is the proper amount to pay? And that you have done this several times? How much would you charge for me suckling on your nipples then? "

Volk stood still partway around the corner, " Because I still have something I want to do. Do not worry about me taking a greater share for all our efforts. I do not plan to do anything wrong and do not lie. "

"I'm glad to hear you're willing to take me up on my offer."

Nodding to Lilica, "You'll of course be free to practice your craft at the Gold Goblin but try to keep it quiet if you can. I don't need to be angering Padomae ontop of the Overlord and the other crimelords who still hold a grudge against me. Thanks for the show, by the way."

Reaching down to his belt strap Saul takes his keyring off of it and produces a handful of keys. "Each of you may take your own room and are free to come and go from the Gold Goblin as you please, I only ask that you be inside before 5am since that's when we close the doors for the night. It will just be a temporary curfew, I'll send for some spare keys to the hall but it will probably be a week or so before I get them back."

"Now then, I think unless any of you have any questions I'll be taking the rest of the night off. Feel free to grab a drink from the bar, play at the tables, or even hit the town, you all have earned a good night.

With that Saul reaches into his pocket and tosses a small bag onto the table which spills out several gold pieces before giving the group a wink and walking off.

Bag of coins contains 25g

Strigala facepalmed at seeing Volk's reaction.

Like wearing spiked boots and kicking a puppy.

She then looked up, only to raise an eyebrow at Lilica's action. She also gave herself a moment to enjoy the view, before looking to Volk.

Well, why not? I'm still dressed the part.

She then stood and, just for a bit, pulled her own top down, just to let him enjoy the view, before pulling it back up and sitting down... and then grabbing the box of potions from where it suddenly sat beside Kertria so she can put it away.

"Keeping things quiet should be fun..." She then looks to Kertria. "So, what do you think of things? Glad you made our acquaintances?"

Ternock slowly makes his way to the meeting in the back after licking the last bit of blood from his mouth. Takes 10 on stealth again. He moves in the rafters and supports above quietly. As if stalking prey.

He just makes it in veiw of the table when Jiggles pulls down her outfit to reveal herself in front of everyone sitting there. Ternock is confused by this display. Is this a new thing Half-Elves do to attract mates? Or perhaps she is trying to show up the other women at the table?

If Lilica cared about Strigala's competitive nature in this regard, she didn't show it. The elf would simply look at the bag of gold that Saul had put on the table, and reach into it to pull out five gold pieces. She would then look at Volk, smiling widely at him.

"On second thought, it seems that Ms. Strigala there is quite interested in you. Perhaps she was simply unwilling to show her true feelings towards you because of some past hidden trauma. Perhaps you should inquire about that while we all take what is our due from the dearly departed pigeons out there. Remember to be persistent as well. Women like that."

After smirking some at Strigala, Lilica would simply walk out to the main hall again and start looking over the bodies to see what was worth taking, beginning with the one-eyed woman.

Ternock sees Lilica reach for the gold on the table. With that he swoops down on top of it before Lillicas hand fully reaches it.

This gold belongs to the one who deserves it Happyboot. He says aloud in common tongue.

Volk must have been blessed by the gods, for his prized breasts and coveted nipples danced in front of him for the briefest of moments. They shined with the intensity of the sun, the contrast of his very powers. The most curious portion was that Volk's eyes moved upward away from the breasts to the owner's face... and he felt a different sensation but it was unknown to him. Wore yet he felt this same feeling about Lilica as well.. what was this?

Volk stood dumbfounded for a minute until Lilica and Strigala spoke, " Is what you say true? If so.. Strigala ho much would I have to pay for.. that again? Since winning the tourney is no longer on the table. Actually Ms. Strigala ... why did you do that? It... was nice. I -" His speech was cut off by the Dragon appearing and hoarding over the gold.

Hi hands went up to conjure something but he waited, " Dragon.. Who is deserving of the gold then? " His eyes still wandered back and forth between Strigala and Lilica... and then monetarily to Nel.. then Kertria.. he seemed to be having a plethora of thoughts running through his mind at the moment. his face was flushed without his knowledge.

Ternock rolls his eyes at Volk as he asks his question. He then begins to speak, looking at each person surrounding the table.

Maybe you guys should think less about yourselves and more about the deceased. We need to pay someone to take the assailants bodies away. The rest of the gold needs to be given to the families of the guards who were killed this evening for funerals or simply to bury them properly if they have no family.

He sighs loudly before continuing.

You soft skins... so hasty to get your hands on gold and spend it as quickly as aquired, without first thinking about someone elses needs. The dead assailants outside have equipment you could take and sell for your reward. At least this gold... He places his claws on the small sack. isn't tainted by the blood of those who killed today.

He looks to Volk and then as if he could see through the wall, looks in the direction of where Balthazar's body would lie.

I trust you will still do as I have asked Mr. Whippets? About what is to be done with Balthazar's possessions?

He stares at Volk with intense eyes, awaiting his response.

Lilica would blink once or twice at the dragon, the smile finally gone from her face for what seemed like the first time that night. Indeed, it looked as if she were actually surprised. However, the surprise faded after as she saw the one obvious thing on the small beast, and the smile returned. The Kuthite would let the dragon finish before raising a finger and clearing her throat slightly.

"How admirable of you," she would say to Ternock, her tone like a parent giving a very small child instructions. "You wish to tend to the sanctity and honor of those who died, and for us to fund, out of our pockets mind, these honors. Nevermind that a great many of them we didn't even know, and that nearly half tried to kill us. But before we do that, perhaps you could answer me one question."

The elf would lean forward onto the table, leaning to look the draconic midget in the eyes, smiling all the while.

"Where did you get that eyepatch you're wearing, hmmm?"

Clearly you are denser then I originally thought if you do not know where this eye-patch came from or are you trying to be coy with me perhaps? He grins at Lilica. Do you think yourself smart for pointing out the obvious Happyboot? I never said we had to honor those assailants now did I? I only spoke of such honor for the guards. I stated we should use the money to haul the assailants corpses away. I never said anything about respecting such corpses.

He then looks at the eye-patch he is wearing as a bandolier.

When you die you are nothing but and object... meat if you will. To be prepared and eaten by the ones who survive.

Ternock licks his scaly lips while smiling.

I just simply was in need of a napkin...

He then looks back at Lilica still smiling.

Though in your line of work... im sure you know all about meat, objects and napkins now don't you? I just hope while your on your back with your legs spread tonight you will realize your place in the world.

He then looks deep into Lilicas eyes and stops smirking, his voice gets lower.

And if you ever talk down to me as if you are of higher authority again meat, paying out of your pocket will be the least of your worries.

Such a well oiled party we got here! lol

Strigala raises an eyebrow at seeing the little dragonling on the table, then shrugs her shoulders.

Not like I need the gold. I've got plenty. I just hope it goes far enough for burying the people who need buried.

She then frowned as she heard Lilica's comment and rolled her eyes. Talk about dense. I go on and on about being a healer and learning at a temple and she comments about past trauma. She must be a little off after getting shown up.

She looks to Volk and smiles. "I'm not in that business. If I followed the beliefs of my temple more closely, I would be more about slaying or redeeming evil. But, I never was a good student. I only gave you a flash because I had implied a prize, and you didn't get it. I wanted you to know you can trust me not to lie to you, too."

She then looks to Ternock as the pseudodragon continued to talk to Lilica, and then directs her thoughts to the creature.

I think she's gone senile. Some elves age really well physically, but mentally lose it early. Or, at least, that's what my father says. Also said most elves act like they're better because of an inferiority complex. Something about generations of inbreeding... I think that's why so many of them breed with humans. Might want to run before she gets an idea that her children being half dragon would improve the bloodline.

She then stands and walks over to the bar, stopping to pick up the box of potions from sitting on it to put away behind it, and looks to the others.

"It's getting very late, and we need to wrap this up. Shall we? We might have a long day tomorrow. We've got a bunch of bodies to strip of belongings tonight and probably two more dead bodies to strip tomorrow morning. I hope Saul is going to pay the four of us well." She then looks to Ternock. "When you kill her, will you please make it easier on those of us who have to clean up and try not to make too big a mess? If not... well, there's not much I can do about that."

She then turns towards Kertria. "If you are not strong of stomach, heading to your room may be best."

Yep. Most reliable party ever!

Volk nodded he understood what the dragon meant, " Very well then you can trust me. " agreeing to the early deal.

When Strigala explained herself Volk was skeptical but happy somewhat. " Hrmm in that case will there be a way to see more of said nipples? Is there a process one must go through to do so? I would be interested.. especially if it involves.. you. As far as the Elf, she is now hired by Saul and under my protection. As such I would have to defend her with my life just like you. She would idly turn her Calistrian holy symbol in her hand as she did so, in clear view of most of the others present. Even those with only a bare passing familiarity with religion in the Golarion pantheon would know that Calistria was not only the goddess of lust, but also of revenge.

This staredown would continue a moment longer, with Lilica being completely quiet. Then, with a sudden motion, the elf would put away the holy symbol, the smile still upon her face. She would shake her head some, chuckling slightly.

"Fine. If you wish to attend to the needs of the dead over those of the living, then so be it. If you wish to insult people, then so be it. But know this, dragon. That money is for Vancaserkin's employees to decide what to do with, not you. Therefore, it is up to us to decide what to do with it. There's five gold pieces for each of us, roughly guessing from the size of that bag. Now, the rest of you can do what you want with your share, but I'd like to refrain to the decision of what to do with mine, thank you very much. The bouncers were hired by Saul, and therefore their post-death arrangements are his responsibility, not ours. As for the others... I say we strip them down, sell what we can, and then throw the bodies out onto the street. It'll serve as a warning for anyone else who happens to have any ideas about this establishment, and hopefully discourage at least some of the rabble in the future. Is that agreeable, dragon, or do you want to cheat all of us out of our rightful pay?"

Do you think flashing a Calistrain holy symbol around will stave others from disagreeing with you child?

His smile wide as ever

Throwing the bodies in the streets to send a messege? Callistra is a goddess of lust, trickery and revenge... not threats... at least thats what I have heard. Or perhaps ive heard wrong? Either way im thinking of starting to worship her myself for... obvious revenge reasons. Id love to hear first hand from a follower of Calistria the true ways of the faith.

He clears his throat before continuing, looking around to the group.

Though if you are under Sauls employment now then do what you will with the assailants. If you wish to dump thier bodies in the streets as a statement, fine. However, finding men that will kill for coin is as easy as flipping said coin mind you. No threats can deter a dying man if they are promised a cure. Especially if the benofactor with the cure in hand has death in the other. Food for thought...

And with that Ternock spreads his wings and takes flight into the rafters above, leaving the gold behind.

Raising an eyebrow now that the pseduodragon is in full view, Kertria puts up a hand towards it. Nothing violent or fast, mind, just slowly puts it up. "Truth, young dragon. Now, I will retire for the evening. I'm still seeing double from the blasted spell from earlier."

And with that, she holds up the key Saul gave her. "Now to find the 'Princess Suite'." With a puzzled look, she wanders off to find her room.

well that went well...except for the halforc i guess. Job achieved.
Nel grabs her coin and a key, nods at saul, and moves off.
after that ruckus, I'm hungry. I'm getter some dinner. See you all later.
With that nel gets something to eat.

Volk watched the dragon fly off and nodded to the rest " For what it's worth I would have sided with you Miss Lilica.. It was Lawfully ours.. You can have a few of my coins as well.. I think I must contemplate my options tonight.. and eat. eating is good.. Goodnight all " Volk chose a random key.. The 'Sun' Room. He Did the task given to him by the Dragon and then headed to his room, he proceeded to fall asleep.

Strigala sighed, seeing people were headed to bed, and facepalmed. She then looked to the sky, silently praying for guidance for the moment, and turned to head for bed as well. There was nothing more she wished to do tonight, and she wasn't hurting for coin. Silently, as she left, she hoped the tiny dragon would eat all of the bodies to save her some time on cleanup the next morning.

As she prepared for bed, she reflected a bit on Volk's words and silently wondered how he arrived at some of his decisions. But, for now, that was something for another day.

This is in case we all decide to go to our beds and sleep for the night:
Finding the room, Kertria slips in, falls on the bed and passes out.

Her dreams are unique to say the least. She is in the Gold Goblin Casino when a wicked looking man appears. Above his head is the Blot and with a cackle the blot swoops down and engulfs her in cold and heat.

Waking in a sweat, Kertria dons enough clothes to be decent and makes her way to the kitchen section, thinking maybe some food in her stomach would help her sleep.

Ternock is being his usual stealthy self for the night. Hiding in the rafters. Soon he sees Kertria enter the kitchen area and he follows her. Perhaps he can get her to give him some mead from one of the barrels.

Kertria hears a voice in her mind
Hello Steel-Ears.

He then works his way down from the rafters onto the bar.

I'm surprised someone is up this late, after all of the commotion from earlier I figured everyone would be exausted. But since you are up, would you mind pouring me some mead? I would get it myself, but I feel it would be... awkward for me to do being this size.

(HP 15/15) | AC:17 | T:13 | FF:14 | CMD 15 | Fort +3 | Ref +4 | Will +4 | Init +5 | Perc: +3 | Speed 30 ft.)

Looking at the other person in the kitchen, then at Ternock, she nods. "Odd dreams, dragon, can rouse even the deepest of sleepers." Grabbing a small meal of pheasant leg, she grabs a bottle of mead, pouring it into a bowl.

"Here, friend." Sitting down next to the other person, a half-orc, she begins to chew on her meal. Her mind, though, was on her dream. It was obviously about the Blot. Perhaps in the morning proper she should head over to the Cyphermages college?

The massive Half-Orc that Kertria sits down next to grunts in greeting to Ternock much as he did to Kertria a few moments prior, apparently completely unconcerned with his appearance onto the bar.

Dreams huh? In my experience reality can cause more of a stir in my mind than a dream. Though im sure you have seen your fair share of things that could stir your mind.

Ternock makes his way to the bowl of mead that Kertria layed out for him. Leaning his head in he sniffs it, the alcohol and honey smell mixing together made for a most pleasent aroma. He licked at it, scooping some in his mouth with his long tongue. Rejoicing in the taste, he began to drink deeply from it. After a 1/3 was gone he looked back up at Kertria, then to the large Half-Orc.

And who is this? The cook perhaps?

Lilica simply rolled her eyes at the glorified lizard, and simply gave him a dismissive wave as he spoke. Then, while the others filed out, Lilica would look after them for a moment before rolling up her sleeves. Her smile would ratchet down to a more neutral expression, though if you looked carefully you could see the slightest bit of amusement still upon her face. She took the five coins that were her's from the pouch, placing them in one of her coat pockets before heading out. Let the others sleep. She had work to do.

She would walk outside, stopping to look at the bodies for a moment before proceeding. Once there, she would give Gabsen a gentle wave, rubbing the brow of her nose slightly as she did so. The slight amusement from her face was fading, and she mostly looked aggravated now. She would sigh some before finally speaking to the soldier.

"I hate to do this," the elf would say, her tone mildly annoyed. "I know we've just met, and you really don't owe me anything, but I'm going to need to ask you a favor before we get down to my business. There's bodies that need to be disposed of in there, and everyone else decided to sleep. In addition, I don't trust many of them further than I can throw them, especially that glorified lizard. So, seeing as Saul has decided to take me on as one of those who will be responsible for his little endeavor here..."

The Kuthite would pause for a moment, her foot tapping as she bit her lower lip in mild embarrassment. Then, reaching into the pocket where she had earlier placed her five gold pieces, she would pull out the coins, holding onto them for a moment before extending her hand to the man.

"Consider this an initial payment. I saw how well you performed before, and even if Saul's taken you off the payroll for a moment, I am still someone he asked to help defend this establishment. So I'll foot the bill until you're once again on, and try to talk Saul into giving you as much responsibility and payment as the rest of us. The going rate will be five gold a week until then. Do you find that agreeable?"

She would wait a moment for Gabsen's answer. If the guard agreed, she would give him a wide smile, one that seemed geniunely grateful. Then, she would motion for the man to follow her down the street. She had to stop by her quarters in the Silken House and retrieve her belongings, especially her weapons. What's more, she would tell the man as much, keeping everything above the table in that regard. Once she retrieved her belongings, she would return to the Golden Goblin, and begin going through the bodies of the fallen robbers (hopefully with Gabsen's help), sorting the various belongings of value, checking each bit for magic as she went. Once that was done, she would take the assorted goods up to her room to be sold the next day, after she showed it to the others and let them inspect. Gabsen was of course welcome to come on up as well, as per their agreement before he had been hired on.

Over the week, Lilica will be on the floor, watching people. During her "prayer sessions" to Calistria every day, she'll read over her Blue Book to get the bonus. In addition, she'll take 10 on Disguise checks every day to look like a normal patron, and to have slightly different distracting features as well.

Gabsen looks at the elf, and pockets the gold before she changes her mind.

Yeah, we have a deal. I don't care where my money came from, and I need to pay my bills.

He then gaves back one of the five gold pieces, and looks at Lilica eyes, speaking with steel in his voice

I'll help you with the bodies. And I might.. I will probably ask for your help too later on, so the rate will be four golds a week. Heard the holy whores of Calistria are good for sex and even better at getting their own justice. Is that true? Cause I'm holdin" a grudge for an undeserved whippin", if you catch my drift. And if I can help you to get your own revenge against the drakebeast, just told me so. I didn't took the poisoning lightly either, and I'll glady cut him in pieces. It's a tough little beast, and it can read minds, if I understand. Gotta be patient and cautious. And treacherously cheatin". No holds barred, if we want to get the upper hand. And we both want to get the better of our foes, whatever the means, don't we?

After helping Lilica with the corpse disposal, Gabsen will lift her easily, taking her upstair across his massive shoulder for some rough time, with raw power and endurance more than skill.

Can't edit my post, so just don't take in account the poisoning, as Ternock (the "drakebeast") suggests in the Discussion thread. Replace poisoning with "attack"

Shade gets her food and then goes to her room, unless drawn in conversation. She's a quiet sort

Bluff: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11

"Yes, those who follow Calistria do have a penchant for revenge and sex both. I suppose that's why Padome makes such an excellent crime lord. And if you would like my assistance against the lizard... I think I can agree to that. But the other man, for all his shortcomings, is good enough by my estimation. I won't be willing to help you harm him physically for means of revenge."

The Kuthite felt a little twinge of guilt and disappointment at that statement. It just felt wrong to say something like that. Like she was going against the fundamental grain of the universe.

"But anyways, I'm glad you've been reasonable enough to accept my offer."

Turning to the little dragonling, Kertria shrugs at his question. Unsure if the half-orc can 'hear' Ternock or not, she speaks up a little. "Are you the cook? Just curious, sir."

She gives the half-orc a small smile before taking another bite of her cold pheasant.

Rough night at the Golden Goblin

SM vs Lilica's bluff: 1d20 ⇒ 4

Gabsen seems a little disappointed the elf refuse to help him getting the better out of the dark mage. But he's soon overcome by his lust, throws the elf to the bed and indulge himself in carnal pleasures for as long as his stamina allows.

To Lilica:
Later that night

What do you think of all this crap? Seems to me we are caught into a gang's warfare, and that the "law" is just another band of armed thugs. They're just "official" thugs. Saul hasn't much left to lose, so far as I can tell, so he just got himself a band of sellswords, at the price of a share of his benefits. Things are going to be uglier than an Urgathoan's banquet soon... I don't know if the others got the guts to get the things done. I feel you can. And maybe the darkmage, Volk. I just hope he will fall on his face on our next fight. I'll kick his b*lls so hard he'll choke on them, and honestly I won't p*** on him if he was on fire.. As for the drakebeast... I got a kind of plan already, just need to put things in motion. Don't know how far you wanna go to get your revenge against the bloody lizard. You can tell the truth. If I can kill it, I will. And if I can make it suffer first, I'd be happier than a Caydenite locked in a brewery.

He looks at Lilica, his face tense, sweat all over his muscled and scarred body

Volk sits in his new 'room' up against the door in the fetal position as he was always did. He pondered his life up to now and closed his eyes, it was more comfortable closed. The sickly, viscous darkness enveloped him and he went back to that place; The Void. It was empty, cold, uninviting all consuming. he had been here for more than a decade, its was his torture. and his home. He wanted to escape this feeling forever, but at nights it was always the same, he was alone and would revert to this world.

It was surely the same place that gave him his gift but the same that cursed him as well. And reminding him of how he got there roused some discombobulated amalgamation of Fury and Despair that formed his existence to this point. He still detested demons. Within a few moments his eyes broke open to a different darkness, one he could vaguely see in and the answer came to him. " Why should I be lonely.. when I don't have to be? I require... companionship? " standing on his legs almost straight up from the ground. He opened the door and noticed the Small Shadowy one walk by with food. At first he was had reservations... but the loneliness crept from behind the door over his shoulder and pushed him forward and out. " Hey, you , Shade.... I'm lonely... " Almost as if it were no more obvious than it was.. " I wish.. to know more about you... "

The Half-Orc puts down his meal before turning to Kertria and responding, "No."

He pauses for a moment as if contemplating saying anything else.

"Laurer cooks sometimes. Saul hired a cooking staff for the grand opening. But most of them have quit already after the heist."

The Half-Orc pauses again before he shows his set of teeth, filed down to sharp points in a very forced and awkward smile.
