Balthazar Gruffudd |

Balthazar charges the thug that is attacking Gasben! His dagger held just below his chest he rushes forward and trys to drive the dagger into the thugs flank!
Dagger Attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23
Damage: 1d4 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Balthazar sinks his dagger into the mans back.

Gabsen |

Is the "man in green" the guy with a small goatee, NW of the eyepatched woman?
previous round
Gabsen blocks the attack from the thug, but as he tries to locate the leaders, is unable to land a blow of his own
Scimitar: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
current round
Having no shield to protect him, the ex soldier takes the large scimitar with both hands and use all his strenght to finish the fight right here, right now, shouting
Scimitar, Pow Att: 1d20 + 5 - 1 ⇒ (19) + 5 - 1 = 23

The thug is cut is half, blood and guts flies everywhere.
Now Lilica understand even better why the man was hired as a guard.

Volk Tulmere |

Small crit-ique (hur hur I'm funny) Gabsen, since your two handing the weapon you do even MOAR gratuitous damageru! 18 str turns to +6 and power attack to +3 for a total of +9; Otherwise nice strike!
Volk sees that his attack fell one of the thugs and simply blinks , " I see, so your don't plan on compensating me? In that case Im sure your belongings will sell for a nice amount when you are dead. "
The man raising his hand with a dark flame covering it and wisps from his eyes. He swipes diagonally upwards at the Thug approaching him as a rift mimics its direction and sends forth a black gale attempting to sever the Thug from the Torso up.
Void blast (Slashing): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 141d6 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
After which Volk repositions himself net to Kertria and touches her hand, " It's me, the winner of this Tourney. There are 14, all thugs. 2 are down. If you want to fight I can direct you.. I guess "

Lilica Fancygirl |

Lilica shifted lightly from toe-to-toe after the man missed his mark with the attack he launched, and let out a high-pitched giggle as he was cut down by Gabsen and one of the orcs. The she would spit out her spell once again, throwing the blob of acid at the thug standing to the northwest of her.
Acid Touch: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (12) - 1 = 11; -2 penalty from Cruelty drawback
Acid Damage: 1d3 ⇒ 3
Even distracted by her excitement and the joyous pain going on around her, Lilica was still able to focus on the task at hand, if only barely.

Kertria Orlevirrea |

Can't get on Roll20 for some reason...
Kertria is annoyed at the rudeness of those around her. It was a dirty trick and people need to be punished for it. Sadly, being blind, there was little else she could do. She holds her ground, waiting for someone to try to hurt her.

Strigala |

Strigala grinned as the creature appeared before her. Perfect!
She gave a quick glance to see where the nearest guard is, then points to him and whispers, "Attack him, my pet. He does evil."
Then, she turns to the group, frowning. She points to the creature rushing into combat, widens her eyes in obviously fake fear, and screams.
"EEK! CELESTIAL ATTACK!"
Using that 1 I rolled on Bluff here.
Now, I just need to draw one or more and hit them with a fun spell! I hope they brought extra pants.

DM Tuyena |

Angvar's Sense Motive: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6 Angvar's Spellcraft : 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16
The man in green turns to Strigala and arches his eyebrow.
"Boys" he says, nodding to his closest three. "When you have a moment, take care of that beatle and then bring me the girl, she looks like fun. "

The ball of mud hits the man in green dead in the face. Strigala's fire beetle charges the closest opponent and attacks him.

The last bouncer besides Gabsen strikes out at the two thugs attacking him.

The criminals managed to put another bouncer down for the count but were unable to wound the party as of yet.
And the final remaining bouncer counterattacks and wounds a thug himself.

DM Tuyena |

"Round 3 Has Begun"
The man in green reaches slowly up to his now mud covered face and begins to wipe it away. You might almost think it didn't bother him at all, excepting that his whole body was trembling with a barely restrained fury.
"That's fine. Everyone wants to play the hero all of a sudden?! THAT'S JUST FINE! WE TRY TO BE PROFESSIONALS AND YOU SPIT IN OUR FACES. Well, tell you what we're gonna do now. We still have atleast another minute before the Gendarmes arrive, so find yourself a warm body and start putting steel into it boys. Kill them all!"
Thugs move into position all over the hall now. One charges at Nel with his short sword.
Charging Attack : 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9
But Nel heard his wild footsteps and ducks under the stab.
Another moves in to stab Lilica.
Attack : 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Another strikes at Balthazar.
Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
The two continue their assault on the remaining bouncer.
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
The other attacks Volk.
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
And the final three assault Strigala's beetle.
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
Attack : 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
No point rolling here, the poor thing is ripped the pieces.
The party may now act.

Balthazar Gruffudd |

Balthazar reels from a a nasty stab with a shortsword. He then looks deep into the thugs eyes and shakes his head. Balthazar drops the slim dagger and pulls out an Earthbreaker with the hammers head chisled to look like a draons head. He make an overhand swing with the hammer.
Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Missing the thug, the hammer hits the floor with a loud thud.

Strigala |

Show time.
Strigala smiled to herself as she saw three of them gang up on her beetle. The creature stood no chance... but it was never intended to. She strode forward purposefully, head held high, crossing thirty feet to bring herself near one of the brigands while they were busy with the poor creature. As she moved, her hands shifted and moved around her while energy danced upon her fingertips and her eyes glowed with power.
And then the spell unleashed, aimed right at the thug within twenty feet of her. It was not any ordinary spell; it showed him the very nature of the malevolent spirits surrounding her, how they floated through the air, their eldritch bodies and alien symmetries, and how they stared at him so hungrily and began to inch closer and closer... How they wanted to gnaw on his very soul...
She then turned her gaze to the other two. "My offer is simple... No tricks, no traps, no betrayals; just drop your weapons and stop fighting. Anyone asks, you're just patrons."

Volk Tulmere |

Volk easily dodges out of the way of the Thug's blade and attempts to leap back. Just as he is about to do so he turns to Kertia and speaks
" Step forward from my voice a little and you will find yourself with one of the Thugs here. He is wounded you need only strike him once. " Before doing a backflip to try and gain some room.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
As he moves the Void Shaper conjures a rift once more and a comet of black energy slams into the Thug between Gabsen and Balthazar.
Void Blast(Bludgeoning): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 131d6 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10

DM Tuyena |

Not sure why roll20 is giving everyone issues :\ Sorry about that. Gabsen you can take a 5 foot stop up next to Lilica and swing at her attacker who stabbed her.
Attack of Opportunity: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
The thug swings at Volk as he runs away from him, but misses.
Volk's energy blast takes the thug by surprise and smashes him to the ground.

Kertria Orlevirrea |

Still can't access it, will do a hard reboot of my computer later, since it is really late where I am.
Kertria, still blinded, decides she might as well do something to confuse people. She raises her hand and mutters several arcane-infused words. A vague, humanoid shape appears, a faint glow the only indicator they are there. Picking a direction that at least sounds busy, she has it move in that direction. Cast Dancing Lights, chose a vague humanoid shape, and used a move action to move it north-east.

Gabsen |

The map simply doesn't load for me, on FF or Chrome
Gabsen moves toward the elf's foe, but the heavy scimitar'handle is too slippery with gore and blood, and the blade cuts only part of the table near the thug
1d20 + 5 - 1 ⇒ (5) + 5 - 1 = 9
1d8 + 6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 6 + 3 = 13

DM Tuyena |

Lilica takes a step back from her attacker and casts cure light wounds on herself to close the puncture.
Cure Light Wounds : 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
The remaining bouncer tries to put down the thug he has already injured.
Attack : 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
The bouncer cuts through the thug leaving him to fight one on one.
"Round Three Summary"
Thugs managed to injure both Balthazar and Lilica. While others killed Strigala's fire beetle and positioned themselves closer to the chest. The remaining bouncer puts down a thug with his sword.
Volk killed another thug and dodged an attack on the way.
Nel, Gabsen, and Balthazar all attacked opponents but were unable to inflict any damage.
Kertria manifested lights to serve as a distraction, while Lilica healed her wounds.
And Strigala managed to hit a thug with Cause Fear.

DM Tuyena |

"Round Four has begun! "
The man in green climbs the stairs to the top of the podium before calling down to Volk.
"Hey you there sorcerer. Tell you what, you stop killing my men, and not only will I let you live. But you can even leave with us and take a share of all this gold. So why don't you put that magic to good use and blow the head off that bouncer for me. " nodding to Gabsen.
Angvar readies an action.
The thug that swung at Volk earlier moves up behind him but doesn't take a swing, it looks like he is waiting on Volk's answer.
The target of Strigala's Cause Fear suddenly screams in horror and begins to run for the gaming halls entrance. His cohort looking bewildered, joins him in his panic, apparently not willing to risk whatever caused his ally to flee.
The third appears shaken by the other two suddenly losing their minds and running away but steels his determination and charges Strigala.
Charging Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
But the distraction of his allies fleeing proves too much and he misses.
Nel's attacker seemed ashamed at having missed a blind defenseless girl. He resolves himself to do the job this time, cursing under his breath.
Attack : 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Nel takes a nasty stab to the shoulder but manages to keep standing.
The thug that had prior attacked Lilica sees her mend her wounds effortlessly and turns his attention to Gabsen. In addition another thug attacks Gabsen from on top of the podium through the railing.
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Attack: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1
Gabsen is too wily to be taken by surprise however and avoids them both.
The remaining thug fighting the bouncer in the corner redoubled his efforts as his ally is brought low.
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
The bouncer gaining confidence now easily sidesteps the attack.
The woman who has been encouraging her allies looks to Volk and also seems to be anticipating his response.
The party is now free to act.

Strigala |

Strigala smiled as two of them fled; that would be two less that had to die, she hoped. She hadn't really expected to get that lucky... and mentally cursed that she wasn't luckier when the third ran straight at her. She took a quick step back as he arrived, voice already chanting and arms moving as she called upon the magic. Once again, she decided to cast Cause Fear.
Once again she felt the magic flowing through her. Her eyes lit up, face took on a more predatory cast, her incisors looked like fangs, skin paled... and then there was the black miasma of spirits, each one with eyes the color of burning coals. The eyes within the cloud looked straight at the man and it began to move towards him, mouths with teeth darker than pitch and dripping green acid opening in hunger...
Strigala herself made a mental note to ask exactly what these guys were seeing, as all she saw is the mana shoot at them and them run off in fear.
"I don't forgive a third time. Last warning: leave." Her eyes then turned to the ones on the stage. "This is getting out of hand..."

Volk Tulmere |

Volk looks to the man... and looks at the scene, then back to the man in green. " That is something one says when they are in a position of power. Also, your trying to hurt my boobs over there so.. No. I'm going to win that chest anyway. "
He then took off while the Thug was at his back, then man seemed disoriented from Volk's blast, he could afford an blow. Rushing to around the stairs Volk took both hands and enveloped them in the black mists, stopped short of them .. and swiped in a cross pattern. Dark Viscous space bent inward and broke reality much like glass before appearing in a replicated position above and behind the man in green before black blades cleave from both sides. The space fixed quickly after as if nothing had transpired.
Void Blast(Slashing): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 221d6 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12

DM Tuyena |

Thug Will Save: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (17) - 1 = 16
The thug shakes his head and blinks his eyes and few times before spitting at Strigala, "You'll have to try harder than that, witch."
Seeing Volk on the move, the thug behind him takes his swing.
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
Crit Confirm: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Volk is slashed from behind during his movement.
The man in green responds to Volk's actions with a prepared spell.
Spell: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
A small beam of light shoots out of the man's hand and into Volk's chest.
Finally, the woman casts a spell, and disappears.
Volk's energy slashes the man in green across the stomach and he hunches over and yells in pain and fustration.

Gabsen |

Gabsen uses his scimitar again, first cutting his opponent's right leg in a two handed stroke, then decapitating the now one-legged man

Shaken by Gabsen's terrifying display of martial prowess in combination with Volk's wounding of the man in green, you can see the fear in the eyes of the nearby thugs as their morale breaks.
The man in green however looks if possible even more angry than before.
The two thugs left standing near Gabsen have lost the will to fight and will flee come next round.

Balthazar Gruffudd |

Balthazar looks at this scene unfolding, suddenly he notices the woman behind the man in green starts casting a spell and dissapears, he will search his mind to discover the spell.
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
he is a wizard Harry
He then looks at his injured state and decides that healing would be a safe option, it seems the battle is in their favor... Mostly. He removes his hand from his hammer and then a wand appears from under his sleeve. He then touches it to the wound. Reddish black energy seems to seep from the wand slowly onto the wound.

Balthazar Gruffudd |

Balthazar knows the woman was casting vanish, she'll be invisible for the next few seconds.

Thugs attack the party at large but are unable to inflict many wounds.
Volk slashes the man in green while Gabsen cuts down another thug and causes panic in their ranks. Lilica tries to wound the man in green but fails, and Nel still blinded is unable to hit her attacker. Kertria maintains her guarded stance and Strigala fails to fear her attacker.
The remaining bouncer cuts down his attacker.
Round Four has ended.
Kertria is no longer blind.

DM Tuyena |

Round Five has begun
Doubled over in pain the man in green turns to the chest and touches it, causing it to shrink down to the size of a jewelry box, before he stuffs it in his coat and climbs over the railing of the podium. Then he calls out to his men,
"To hells with this place and its defenders, we have what we came for, let's get going!"
All thugs begin to withdraw rapidly tot he door with the chest.
The party is free to act

Balthazar Gruffudd |

Balthazar sees the green man start to flee with the chest. He won't allow this to happen, He drops the wand but before he can rush him, Volk penatrates the mans heart with some black energy. It doesnt seem like he will need to attack that man, but then he looks to the woman and smirks. Then a blueish red crack in thin air appears before him. He runs into the crack and dissapears for an instant, then another crack appears on top of the podium and Balthazar steps through and brings his Earthbreaker down on her.
Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Sadly he misses to the right of the woman and is even more angry. Though a perceptive few may notice his wound he took from earlier begins to heal.

Volk Tulmere |

Volk seemed nonchalant the entire time even as he miscalculated and took a blade to the back. However when he saw the man in green take the chest his eyes flared. " HEY! THat's the reward for the Tourney winner! I need that! You arent getting away! "
Placing his foot firmly to the ground his back foot kicks over and he pursues. Once he got within range Volk did a small leap and stomped on the ground from along his shadow a drill of black energy erupted from under the man in green aiming for his neck. Volk twists his hand and the drill simulates a rotational force before striking.

Strigala |

Untrained Bluff check: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
Strigala's eyes went wide as the other guy shrugged off her spell. Oh crap.
And then she got lucky when the leader grabbed the chest and started to run for it. Strigala then smiled. Perhaps I can salvage this after all...
She looked at them and shouted, "The chest is a decoy, you idiot. The items inside are fakes!"
She then grins. "Take it and run! Saul wins this round, sucker!"
That may be plausible enough for him to believe it...

Lilica Fancygirl |

Welp, can't see the map for Roll20. Oh well. Oh, and sorry for not being available for the past couple of days. Holidays, etc.
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25
Oooooh. That half-elf was smart. Seriously, the quality of employee Saul was picking up would have made more than a few crime-lords within the city jealous. Even if she wasn't already set on ensuring that Vancaskerkin got taken down, this display of competence would make him a good target anyways. He just had so much to lose! Well, may as well keep up the charade. She once again cast the acid spell, and tossed it once again at the man in green. If the one orc's bit of magic finished off the man... Well, she could just wait until she saw the chest move or something, or for one of the hirelings to move towards the chest, and then splatter them with face-dissolving goodness.
Acid Splash touch: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (4) - 1 = 3
Or not.

Kertria Orlevirrea |

Finally being able to see, and seeing several of the men running for the door, Kertria curses in Elvish beneath her breath. She wouldn't catch up quite yet, but she runs as fast as she can towards the nearest on.
Moved twice for 60' to get within 10 ft of one of the thugs.
"Get back here!"

Gabsen |

If Gabsen isn't too far from the door
Gabsen runs toward the door, cutting the thieves way out.
His few clothes are covered in blood, but obviously, the big man isn't wounded.
He grins, holding his large scimitar in front of him, and barks orders in a fearless booming voice
Down with your weapons, you scums. NOW.

But she's much too quick.
Round Five Summary
The enemy tries to flee as Angvar shrinks the chest and takes it with him.
However, Volk blasts him as he runs away, taking him down. Thuvalia uses a spell against Volk in retalation, but doesn't drop him.
Balthazar, Gabsen, and the Bouncer move to attack her in response, as Kertria and Lilica chase down those who are fleeing.
And Strigala bluffs the thugs into thinking the chest was a decoy all along.
End of Round Five
Nel is no longer blinded

DM Tuyena |

Round Six has Begun
Having no route of escape available, Thuvalia steels herself to fight.
She stabs at Balthazar hoping his prior wounds will make him easier to take down and help level the odds. She begins to dance back and forth on her toes before beginning her assault.
Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Stepping inside Balthazar's guard she slides her rapier deep into his stomach. Having dealt with the orc, she steps back against the railing to avoid becoming surrounded by Gabsen and the bouncer.
The remaining thugs continue their blind rush for the doors and the streets of Riddleport.
Players are now free to act.
