There's a reality tv style interview booth featured in this adventure. It is a way to gain more audience favor. Like our own reality tv, the producer will periodically take one PC apart from the group for an interview. She might ask innocent questions about your thoughts or theories, or may try to provoke those behind-your-back criticisms that those shows are so known for.

This can be silly and entertaining, or some people may not like to be part of it. To make sure everyone enjoys it, you will only be asked or targeted with the negative stuff if you want to. For this reason, please give explicit consent here if you would like to possibly participate, otherwise the producer will not ask your character for any negative criticism or ask anyone else for negative criticism about your character. These would be things like asking one PC to talk smack about how another PC really let the group down with a failed skill check or missed shot.

So if that does sound potentially fun and non-offensive to the actual you, please respond here that you are fine with it, otherwise your character's involvement with the booth will stay more "innocent". Either way you will have similar opportunity for gaining favor.

Kallus would say, "Bring it."

Due to the nature of this quest, Levylissa would surely be up for this.

Hey all, lots of site problems as you are all probably aware. The site is somewhat up for now, but Hmm warns that Paizo says it will probably be rocky until later this week.

If I can still post later today I'll get an update in gameplay, and we can like play this game or something. I think that's what we're all here for anyway.

Please notice in the slides I added a temporary front page to help deal with communication in an "emergency." Some people are moving their games to other PbP sites, I have no plans to do that for now. But if things get worse for much longer that slide is where I'll communicate anything significant like trying to get us all communicating via real world email.

If you so choose, you can send me a PM with your email address while the site works, it could help reestablish communications if we need them and can't use the site. Otherwise if the Paizo forums are down for a long period again keep an eye on that slides page for updates.

Site outages are getting soooo annoying.

We're being asked for contingency to establish communications off site.
If all of you are cool with it, could you send me an email address in PM if you haven't already? I'll also PM each of you mine and you could just send me an email directly.

If you don't want to do that I understand, don't sweat it.

Either way, I'd recommend bookmarking our slides if you haven't already, since that alone can serve as some kind of communication.

Organizers want us to consider options for playing off site during downtime outages. I'd like to get your opinions on it.
-I don't want to move this game to another forum, and I'm in charge so sorry if that's what you want ;p
-While the site is down, we can just not play, which is what we've been doing.
-While the site is down, we can use an alternate posting method in downtime. Options include:
* Posting what you want to do in the google doc we have for slides, then I roll the dice you ask for myself with like real dice.
* Set up a google hangout

Let me know what you guys think or just vent if you need to heh.

I'm cool with whatever the rest of you decide, I'm probably taking a break from PbP after I wrap up all my current games anyway.

Personally, I'm fine riding around the downtime. It will be tough for me to keep up outside of home on anything but Paizo. However, Google Hangouts is fine with me.

I, too, am fine with riding out the wait until the site is back...as we have been doing. If I have to remember to check some other place, I likely won't.

I'm fine with whatever we need to keep this game rolling along in some form or another.

Im good riding out the outages. My posting rates are not the best as it is, so it helps me keep up.

I wasn't sure about the critical effect being triggered so just included it in case. I guess it makes sense though, if the crit isn't triggered the crit effect wouldn't be either.

I've not played a caster before and was curious about if it is possible to cast a spell on a target with concealment.

I understand that you must be able to see or touch the target to cast a spell (unless a cone or AOE-type, if I understood correctly) but is that affected by 20% concealment?

As I understand it, as long as you can at least somewhat see the creature, you can target it. The 20% miss chance from partial concealment only applies to an attack roll. Something that calls for a save (like mind thrust) or just hits (like magic missile) is unaffected by concealment miss chances.

If it had total concealment (like being over 60 feet away in this room), you couldn't directly target it with those single target spells, but AoE would work if you guessed where it is correctly (like burning hands).

Re: rules discussion on non-lethal, any lethal attack can be made non-lethal by taking a -4 penalty to hit, and any non-lethal attack can be made lethal by taking a -4 penalty to hit.
