I told you so!
I like to think of our little thread as Lisa's dream, a dream of a place where no-one fights, no flames will burn, and we can all agree that BttH rock! ;)

Its where Solnes puts her foot that you have to worry about.

Good things:

At my new job (started it in July) I'm making more money, have better health coverage, have my own office, have more job security, and have more expenses covered.

Even better though, I'm able to not work on the weekends. It seems like there were entire years when I worked every single day. This weekend, Nerrat and I played four games of D&D Minis, went for a hike in a local bog, and he took swimming lessons. We haven't had time together like that for awhile.

Good for you, TD!

Just sent three revised chapters to my adviser...so I am REALLY looking forward to this kind of time. (Yeah, I know. Three chapters due at Mon. 9pm...my adviser is an awesome guy, but definitely an individual. -- Hey! That's also a good thing.)

My best friend finally got a job with the border patrol/customs agency. It's been at least two years of struggling with bureaucracy and waiting but he's shipping down to New Mexico for a few months at the academy and then over to Texas for the job.

I'm happy he's finally doing what he wants to do and quitting his job at the armored car company, but it breaks my heart a little that I won't get to see him nearly as much.

Good job. Thesis supervisors are supposed to be odd ducks. If they weren't, you wouldn't be able to share stories about them with you future supervisees (who will be rolling their eyes and thinking that the pot is calling the kettle black).

Good things:

1. I'm currently typing on my computer with a kitty on my lap. Why is this a good thing? Because earlier this summer I broke the end of the thing that supplies power to my computer. I broke it off in the computer. Two weeks I ordered the new power supply, and about five days ago I took apart my entire laptop to gain access to the <expletive deleted> little broken piece. And then I realized, when taking apart computers, you should be very, very careful about charting where the screws came from. So I've spent the last four days trying to get all the screws back in the right places. Good news..! It works!! However, when taking it apart I noticed two places where screws were missing, and now that it is back together, I have two extra screws.... hmm...

2. My internet is working again! For the past two weeks I've been browsing on my phone. Loading pages and typing posts on a phone is not that great long term. So not only can I use my laptop, but I can connect to the internets!

3. My Pharasma costume is coming along nicely despite some earlier issues with user error. However, I'm not sure if I will be able to wear it to PaizoCon. I'll have to check with the boss to see if I can get out of wearing my blue shirt for a day.

The first time I saw your post, I read it that you would begin subjecting me to unending torment starting Oct 19th. Glad, I misread that.

Also, I need a catchy title. Cosmo already has "Customer Servant."

Congratulations! Don't mind Mairkurion, he's just a little grumpy from a lack of nitrogen in his composting mulch.

Silkygreenbelly answered my question AND she's making a Pharasma costume? I think I've found my new favorite customer service person.
Customer Service Goddess?

Spoiler:
And I totally took the high road and didn't cast my whole post back to that "reveal yourself" line.

It's just that your avatar looks grumpy.

Proposed new titles for Silkygreenbelly: "Customer Serf", "Customer Slave", "Costumed Customer Servant", "The Lady of Grave Customer Service", "Customer Service is Dead".

Thanks, Taig. I prefer to think of it as looking solemn and wise.

You promised torment on an innocent and you wouldn't call that being grumpy?

Do you have a bracelet that says "What Would Sebastian Do?"

Oh oh, the little hairs are standing up. Must be an incoming Dictum...

It hurts when you compare me to Sebastian, in really does. I'm a giver, not a taker.

And I don't give a s!@#.

I do, however, give information. Guess who the new customer service person is?

Oh, was that meant to get you on Sebastian's list? Because you look way to much like Jirel of Joiry to ever end up on my enemy list, which I don't have...publicly.

Oh, sorry. Those were proposed titles for Sebastian. I got the lists confused.

I like your suggestion.

Hmm. The title awarded for now appears to be 'The Future of Customer Service'. I wonder if this makes Cosmo 'The Present of Customer Service' or 'The Past of Customer Service?' ;)

Erik Mona specifically commissioned a pair of artists to draw a picture of a zombie ripping the stuffing out of a carebear... I'm really not sure that the CareBears would be safe. :D

As to the ponies, it depends whether Cosmo's 'Bella Sara' activities are an indication of a general favourable disposition towards ponies on his part. Let's not forget that Cosmo was responsible for Sebastian's avatar. ;)

I've seen that blog post before. It rocks.

Spoiler:
Should I mention my sense of humor really wants me to go buy a bunch of carebears and my little ponies just to watch any and all anti-cute coworkers squirm? ...Maybe I'll save that until later.
