Mikka
Mikka directs the manifesting elemental forth appearing in L 14, the creature of pure flame striking at one of the dogs from behind, wild glee expressed throught crackling laughter.

The young druidess herself striding to stand beside Tania, striking at her opponent with her scythe, the awkwardness of the angle making for an ineffective attack.

Idrian fires through the doorway and past the dwaven Paladin yet again, but this time his shot is wide of the mark. Feldspar doesn't miss though, striking the matriarch hard in the side and elicitng a yelping response from the animal.
Durik fired as well, but despite invoking his lady gods name, his arrow also streaks wide of the mark.
Mikka moved forwards, swinging her scythe at Tania's foe but badly misjudging the attack and nearly hitting her companion instead. Tania didn't miss with her own attack though. Her sword lunged into the wounded animal, endign its life with a bloody gurgle.
The summoning finally completed and a minature inferno burst onto the grass of teh courtyard, burning the plants to brown ash where it touched. With a crackling roar, it struck the hound in front of it and set fire to the beast, not quite killing it but causing it to go into a panic of pain and terror none the less.
The last remaining goblin dog was struck by a bolt from Jo'no's wand and then snapped at Feldspar. The wounds it had recieved so far were starting to tell however, for it missed the dwarf by a narrow margin. The smell of burning dog meat begain to fill the space as the fight neared its conclusion.
Only the matriarch is left. Technically one of teh dogs is burning but it willbe dead before it can act. Matriarch is close to death as well, and one good shot should finish her off. No map update really needed at this time, since all enemies are gone except the one directly in front of Feldspar. Mikka, there is a goblin that is hiding just out of sight from you guys, but your elemental can see him and will move to engage him next round. Please roll another attack fot it when you post your next round actions.

Mikka once again drwe the wand from her belt, holding it aloft as she scanned ahead for signs of threat.
DM Wrath
The matriacrh was brought down by Feldspar and Idrian, her large and ugly body slumping upon the corpse of her pregeny as they also lay in death. Around the corner, the sole surviving goblin of the initial fray, screamed in pain as the elemental set fire to his body. The planar creature pressed its assault, thumping into the goblin one last time before vanishing from sight and returning to its home plane. The smell of burnt flesh and leather filled the air, a cloying aroma that caused reflexive gagging in most people.
For now, everything was quiet. No more doors opened and the invaders were left panting and catching their breath after the mad dash and vicious combat for the fortress entrance. It would seem that whatever enemies remained in this place, they had chosen to hunker down rather than continue a pressing assault.
You have a few moments of respite in which you can recover and use restorative gear. To keep this streamlined, you effectively have two choices. Head downstairs or finish searching the upper level. Your call completely as to which you would prefer. Most votes wins
Feldspar Flamebeard
Feldspar doesn't quite agree. "Goblins dislike the light; the majority of them should be below ground. I suspect we've already slain the sentries who watch from above and if there are any remaining, they're not likely to be a threat. We should go below now, before they have more time to prepare themselves for our assault."
Idrian
"No. Splitting up would be foolish." Idrian considers for a moment. "We know that there are two watchtowers. Let's at least insure that there are no goblins left in them. Plus there are several doors in the hall leading to the one tower. I offer that we open each of them and as long as there are no goblins in them we close the doors and go downstairs. Even if there is another door, we don't open it. Just the ones that lead directly into the hallway. Is that an acceptable compromise?"
DM Wrath
Got my face to face game tonight, so will update tomorrow. I let things run till you had a concrete plan, which it seems you do now hehe. I'll provide info basedon perception for certain sections as well, so if you get time between now and when I update, roll a perception for me (sound based).
Cheers

As the group spreads out carefully to investigate the doors into the cahmaber, the tensione starts to tell. The small interraction betwen Idrian and Jo'no displays as much about culturual difference as it does personality.
****Idrian - The tower sounds quiet, with only the crackling and popping of the burning goblin corpse able to be heard at this point. The creature had revealed a ten foot corridoor that led into the grassy courtyard as well, but this pathway hadn't saved it from Mikka's elemental. As far as the hunter could tell, there were no more enemies coming from this angle.
****Durik and Feldspar - Feldspar quickly opened the doors near himself. The double doors revealed another coridor, while the single door opened to a set of stairs leading down into the rock. The dwarf could tell these were ancient stones, carved by some magical means or at least weathered so smooth that any tool marks had been removed.
Durik held his finger up to his mouth to indicate quiet from the dwarf. He had caught the distinct sounds of goblin speach and magical casting coming from the doors at the far end of the double coridoor. There still goblins up here it would seem, and at least some of them had magical abilities.
***** Tania and Jo'no were at the furthest tower. No sounds nor movement came from this end of the fortress either, though the aweful stench of goblin sweat and spilled spirits came from the room they stood beside. This looked to be a crowded barracks room of some type, and was the room from which the main goblin group had swarmed not so long ago.
Feldspar Flamebeard
"They could also be casting spells to strengthen their warriors or manipulate the terrain, creating a double dangerous environment should we allow them time to prepare"
Feldspar frowns, clenching his hammer with a tight fist. "That's why I wanted to press the attack at once. Given that it's too late for that now we may as well wait them out. Such spells won't last forever, will they?"
DM Wrath
The party gathered, discussing the option of waiting out the spells, however the option was taken from their hands a few moments later. The doors at the end of the hallway were flung open and two heavily armoured goblins rushed forwards. Behind them a third goblin drew a bead on the defenders with a strong looking bow (at least strong for goblin weapons).
At almost teh same time, a another group of the little green menaces came in from the entrance leading to the outer courtyard and bridge. None of the party had heard them sneaking around, but now the room was filling with goblins from outside.
A strange suking noise came from the side corridor and then a huge goblin mounted on some form of giant gecko came charging around the corner and into the fray with Feldspar. The creature was strapped into a harness on the gecko, which ran along walls and ceiling in a baffling type of attack pattern. The advantage it provided the goblin king was obvious, since he now had height advantage over all his opponents.
Well, waiting and discussing led to the goblins getting enough time to ready themselves and attack. This is their readied plan, again something more cunning than you would expect most goblins to implement. It is their home turf however, so that may explain some of their ability.
Initiatives are as follows. Group 1 - Mikka, Idrian, Jo'No. Group 2- Goblin king and armoured goblins, Group 3 - Feldspar, Tania, Durik Group 4 - Remaining goblins.
Round 1 - Group 1 is up
Jo'no Screaminghawk
With a scroll already in his hand, Jo'no steps forward and reads forth an incantation while being wary of any incoming attacks.
5' Step to Q17 and cast 5th level spell of Burning Hands from a scroll, on the defensive
Caster check DC 6 (level 5 scroll): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Concentration check DC 21: 1d20 + 3 + 4 + 2 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 3 + 4 + 2 + 4 = 33
Fire damage to all 4 goblins in the room (Reflex save DC 15 for half): 5d4 ⇒ (3, 2, 1, 2, 4) = 12
Mikka
Seeing the bow weilding goblin, Mikka seeks to eliminate it from the equation, guesturing towards it as she chanted, a call upon the goddess to block the sight of the enemy as a thick fog rolled in, enveloping the goblin and rolling along behind the heavily armored ones.
Fog cloud fills J17,18 TO M17,18 zero visibility

Round 1 part a
Jo'No steps forwards and unleashes his magic, avoiding any attacks from the creatures. The blast washes over the goblins, who seem to react sluggishly and make no sound at all. Jo'No sees the things waver a little before his eyes, though his spell doesn't seem to affect them at all.
Idrian fired almost immediately after him as well. The arrow flew solidly forwards, but seemed to miraculously miss the target. The goblin he fired at wavered slightly in his vision.
As Mikkas summoned forth her fog cloud, the goblins that had move to surround them vanished completely, revealing them for the illusion they had been.
Jo'No
The goblins struck then, with their king leading the frey. From his position high on the roof, the goblin struck down with a quality looking shortsword. In his hands it looked more like a longsowrd though, and when it struck Feldspar, he certainly felt the strength behind the blow and keeness of the wepons blade. (Kings hits AC 23 for 8 damage on feldsar). The great gekko he was rising hissed and snapped at the dwarf as well, its teeth closing on his helm and rasping against the metal. Great ropes of greenish saliver slid down his face and helm, but the creatures bite couldn't penetrate the armour of the Paladin. (Gekko only hits AC 16, misses the dwarf)
The heavily armoured golbin commandos attacked as well. The great wall of fog that Mikka had summoned didn't hamper the first two, though they now found themselves having some advantage of concealment in the magical stuff. The first one swung and missed Feldspar, his aim put off by the magical fog as much as the dwarfs defensive abilities. The second one struck Durik hard though, slicing through his armour and scoring a bloody line along his body. (Hits AC 19, for 6 damage)
A third goblin came rushing around the corner from where the king had emerged, his shield and sword held at the ready. Luckily he was travelling too fast to actually make a strike at the defending paladin. His king snarled and spat a goblin curse at the hapless creature, encouraging to do better in future. Given the gekko's ability to climb across the roof, the goblin and his king fought in the same space in the hallway, one on the roof, the other on the floor. It was an effective tactic for opening up more combat options.
Ok, group 3 is up. Feldspar, Tania and Durik
