DM Wrath |

I agree with the bogging down possibility. I suggest we set some simple principles to move through the building, so that you can move us more rapidly and let us know what comes out of the fight.
1. We stay as a group and move at the slowest character's speed.
2. We choose doors where there is noise first: we are looking for Ameiko or Kaijitsu.
3. Jo'no opens the door and we move in silently to catch them off-guard.
4. If a room is empty, we move on. We'll take time to investigate later.
It's a suggestion...
Works for me, we'll try it that way
Almost everyone has ranged weapons out at the moment, is everyone ok with that?

Algus Vordhosbn |

I agree with what Tania suggested, since it'd streamline the events. <_< I'm also using a ranged weapon so we can basically just open the door and punch the room with holes(and anything squishy. <_<). OR, if push comes to shove I can just "blow up" the room, using a Bomb. I can aim at intersections, so that can work. <_<

DM Wrath |

The group continued their stealthy search of the place, moving through the doors they felt would get them to teh goblins most rapidly. Jo'No took a quick glance throgh the far door, noting it opened into a very long corridor that ran almost the entire length of the building. Apart from a few closed doors, there wasn't much of interest here so he waved the group through the closed doors behind him.
This room turned out to be a loading and shipment room of some sort. Double doors led outside and many barrows of goods were sorted here, awaiting to be collected by thos who had ordered them.
Another small door here led to a stairwell leading downstairs. The cool air that entered from this area spoke of its depth, and also reminded the group of the heat that this building seemed to contain. While all of them new the glassworks ran a forge, none of them had been inside the place in their youth and they were somewhat surprised at the uncomfortable conditions the workers must have lived in.
From this room, it was very clear that the goblins were on the other side of the double doors leading out. Their crazed laughing and the tinkling of broken glass could clearly be heard through the doors, whihc were not even fully closed. Through the narrow crack, Jo'no could see a large group of the creatures cavorting around what would be the main workshop. With a sudden stomach churning wrnech, he realsied that goblins were actually throwing about the severed limbs and heads of a number of humans, most likley the live in workers of teh place. The body parts appear to have been dipped into liquid glass and alowed to set, before teh goblins proceded to throw them at each other and various items of furniture. The sounds the group had been hearing so far was from this glass as it shattered around the macabre trophies.
At the very far end of the room, only barely visible to the Shoanti wizard, another human corpse would be seen seated at one of teh work benches. This corpse was completely covered in glass that looked to have been poured across its body like treacle and allowed to set. From here, Jo'no couldn't tell who it was, but the goblins were leaving it alone.
OK, given their distracted state, the goblins are surprised. You get a surprise round action to either attack or make a move action. Jo'no, yours is limited to openeing the door unfortunately, as once that is done, the goblins will respond. Please note where you are standing. Jo'no can push both doors open, but some of you will not be able to draw a bead on goblins without moving, which may be all you can do in your surprise action.
I have assumed you have shut doors behind you, but they are not locked and will take only 5feet of your movement for every door you have to open oif you decide to witdraw back the way you've come.
When you post your actions, can you also roll for initiative. I'll let the map do most of the talking for me in terms of how things are ste up. If it looks like crates or tables, it provides cover. Getting too close to furnaces may cause heat damge. This is a big fight, particularly since some of you have already expended some resources in earlier encounters. Good Luck!

Feldspar Flamebeard |

Enraged by the murders of the poor souls working in the factory and the desecration of their bodies, Feldspar did not hesitate. He levered his crossbow, aimed for the second nearest goblin and fired.
Initiative: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (19) + 0 = 19

Damage Roll: 1d10 ⇒ 3

Mikka |

Init 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Even from where she stands Mikka can catch only a beginning glimpse of the unnatural horror that is the handywork of the goblins. Her face takes on a cold fury as she begins chanting, her hair lifting with a gathering of air.
As the spell completes she yells, thrusting her hand forward to commant the wind into a howling wintunnel that barrels down the open space before the group snuffing out unattended fires and catching the attention of all the vile little beasts.
Casts control winds
Setting up an 80 ft wind tunnel 40 ft across extending from U24 to L12,J13,K14. At Strong wind level blowing towards the goblins all ranged attacks coming from them suffer -2 penalty. (doesn't explicitly say it but would our attacks gain the benefit of shooting with the wind due to increased speed?)

Mikka |

Tania looks in shock at the massacre scene. Seeing her chance, she drops her bow and moves quickly to get on top of the table, drawing her longsword, before the goblins get a chance to realize what's happening.
Move to V26 to get advantage of the higher ground.
You do realize that goblins are like..3ft tall and that standing on a table you may as well be using a lance to hit them.

Algus Vordhosbn |

Algus quickly readies his Crossbow and fires a shot at the Goblin closest to the group.(W26, perhaps?)
Initiative Roll!: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
Crossbow Shot, to Hit(Point-Blank Shot): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Crossbow Shot, Damage(Point-Blank Shot): 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

DM Wrath |

Iniitative groups are as follows. Groups1 = Tania, Algus and Idrian; Group 2 = Goblin group 1; Group 3 = Feldspar; Group 4 = Goblin group 2; Group 5 = Jo'No and Mikka, Group 6 = Goblin group 3
Idrian and Algus had great success with their initial volleys, striking down each of their targets with well aimed shots. Feldspar also landed a blow to his target, but he creature slips past the worst of the damage as it bent to pick up a pari of glass tongs at the last moment.
The sound of chanting from the back of the group heralded the beginnings of a gusting wind within the forge chamber. The goblins at the far end raised their hands briefly to shield their eyes as dust and paper swirl through the room after Mikka finished her spell.
With a wild yell, the ever impetuous Tania dashed into teh room, leaping onto a table to get a better view of the little buggers before they could press their attack.
Mikka, no bonuses to hit from your winds, however I'll extend the range of all missile weapons by five feet if they are travelling with the wind, hope that is some conselation for you :)
Round 1 proper. Group 1 is up.

Algus Vordhosbn |

Apologies, I've been kinda busy. <_<
Algus moves forward in accordance to Tania's words, pressing on slowly as he stops to reload his Crossbow. Algus seems to be taking this a bit more patience with his attacks this time.
Reloading Crossbow as my standard action, then making a move to T-26.

Jo'no Screaminghawk |

Jo'no slaps Idrian in an attempt to break him out of his trance. *grins*
On a side note, I will be in Peru for 2 weeks from May 11 to May 28, and I do not know what my access to the internet will be like there. If at any point you are waiting more than 24 hours for a response from me, it will probably be best that Wrath decides what Jo'no should do.

DM Wrath |

Tania steps forwards and lops the head from the closest goblin with a vicious two handed attack. The startled look on the creatures face brings about cackles of laughter from its companions as the head bounced along the floor, pushed by the winds that Mikka had summoned.
Algus moved forwards, loading his crossbow as he went, then realsised he was fully exposed at teh front of the group now.
The twanf of a strong yew bow being unleashed close behind brought the alchemist some comfort though. Both he and Idrian watched as the feathered shaft of the hunters arrow took another goblin in teh chest and brought it crashing to teh ground.
The three closest goblins shouted in abosulte chaotic glee as the carnage and combat raged around them. The of the creatures picked up sheets of glass and rushed forward to hurl them at Tania standing atop the table. They hummed as they spun through the air, turing crazily in teh winds of Mikka's spell. Amazingly, one of the sheets managed to strike the bard, slicing a clean cut through the meaty part of her forearm (natural 20, which is their only way to hit you in these winds. 3 damge, max roll there as well sorry. The other rolled an 18 but the negatives to hit with winds and improvised weapon meant that wasn't good enough.)
With a scream of madness induced glee, the third goblin charged down teh corridor at Algus, wielding a red hot pair of tongs with dripping glass. The creature pressed the burning tongs into teh flesh of Algus' thigh and the sizzling smell of burning meat assaulted everyones nose. (Touch attack hits 16. Also 3 damage, fire based)
Seeing the success of these attacks, the group at the back hefted their improvised weapons with more enthusiams, their eyes lighting up in anticipation.
Ok, Group 3 is up; Feldspar. Also since group 4 goblins have all been killed now, group 5 can go as well. So all up, Feldspar, Mikka and Jo'no can act.

Feldspar Flamebeard |

Feldspar tosses his crossbow aside and fastens his shield on his arm before moving forward, drawing his warhammer as he goes. He strides up to help Algus, crying out to the goblin, ""Try me, Goblin!"
Drop crossbow, ready shield and move to U25 drawing the warhammer as part of his move. (I think that's as far as he can get with the diagonals - he's trying to get as close to the goblin threatening Algus as possible).
AC is now 17.

Jo'no Screaminghawk |

Jo'no moves forward and releases a bolt of magical energy at a wounded goblin.
Jo'no moves to U27 and casts Magic Missile at a wounded goblin. If none of the remaining goblins are wounded, then he will cast it at either at any goblin that looks like it might be a caster, otherwise will cast it at the nearest goblin not in melee.
Magic Missle damage 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

DM Wrath |

Algus rushes into the room, screaming a challenge at the goblins and hoping to draw their attention away from the more fragile Alchemist. Despite his best efforts, the Paladin can't quite reach combat (Someone was already in the square you mentioned Feldspar so I moved you to the one next to it)
Meanwhile, Jo'no unleashes a bolt of magical energy at the goblin that had hit Tania with its thrown glass. The bolt sizzled into its flesh, eliciting a piercing scream from the creature which was cut short when Mikka followed up with a shot from her bow.
One of the creatures at teh back of the room opened its eyes wide as it suddenly recognised the group and it called to its companions in goblin.
At his words, the three rear most goblins dash through the door and out of sight. Two of closest ones ignore the goblins words though, and drawing their vicious little dog slicers they charge down the room hoping to close with group of combatants.
(Group 1 is up again. Tania, Idrian and Algus)

Tania Teg |

Tania snarls back at the goblin in front of her and lets her sword crash down on its skull, bending her knees at the same time to lend more weight to the blow.
If the goblin dies, she'll jump down from the table, passing near Algus, and move along the wall, hoping to cover the achemist and force the goblin in a flanking position.
SwA: Arcane Strike
SA: 2h-Longsword w/ higher ground: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19; 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
MA: to S24, moving through Algus' square to avoid an AoO.

DM Wrath |

Idrian felled another of the green skins with well aimed shot, smiling in satisfaction as it dropped to the floor.
A terrified scream was cut off abruptly as Tania killed a second creature, moving past the dead bodies to support Algus and the others.
Goblins at T24, T23 are now both dead. That leaves only 2 goblins in the room. In essence, this drops another of the goblin groups and leaves us with only goblin group 3. so..
The remainder of the party can act now, including Algus. I'm not skipping hsi go, just giving others a chance to post since Idrian and Tania killed their foes. cheers

Mikka |

Seeing Feldspar go after one of the goblins, Mikka takes aim at the other, the arrow riding the summoned winds with perfect placement to srtike the yapping little vermin through the mouth.
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
1d10 ⇒ 2
Confirm
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
2d10 ⇒ (6, 6) = 12

Algus Vordhosbn |

ack, I kinda got a little busy with school and whatnot...apologies. <_<
The painful wound Algus had received didn't do much to halt his movements: he had suffered worse with his own explosions. still, he decides to skip ahead of the goblins, in order to look for any signs of Ameiko.
Moving to P22.

DM Wrath |

Feldspar and Mikka make quick work of the last two golbins, felling each of their opponents with well aimed blows. Algus moves further into the room, checking for signs of more trouble or Ameiko.
For a moment all that can be heard is the roar of the fire in the glass kiln and the panting breaths of the party as they recover from teh combat. Then a door slams from somewhere behind them. Turning, they can see the goblins that fled the room dashing through the door leading to stairwell below. One of the creatures stands with its hands on the door, staring in wide eyed horor at the group when it realised it had heard his clumsy attempt to open the door. The sneaky little buggers had circled in beind the group, but it looked as if they were trying to escape rather than fight.
Will need to update the map tomorrow, out of time tonight sorry. There is one goblin visible at the doorway to the stairs leading down. Two or more others have already ducked through after he opened it.

Mikka |

Mikka takes a step further into the room, an outstretched hand guesturing at one of the goblins behind the leader as a burst of wind and rain decends upon it, materializing from the humid air to pummel it relenttlessly.
Storm burst 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 non-lethal damage, -2 to ranged attacks

DM Wrath |

Ok, NPCing a few actions to move this along.
Tania is the first to respond to the new threat, ushing back into the room to try and block the goblins escape. She gasped in pain as the one she tried to step past slashed her with its dog slicer, shrieking in fear and excitement as it did so.
The young bard could clearly hear her companions moving to support her though, and so she gritted her teeth and kept on.
Mikka moved up beside the tempestuous bard, summong her magics and pummeling the rear most goblin with rain and hail, thumping the the little creature soundly with natures force.
A hissing noise follows as Idrian leaped onto the table behind the crowded door and fired into the room. For the first time this combat, his arrow sailed wide, clipping the top of the door as it travelled past and careening off to one side of his intended target.
Jo'No had more success with his magic, watching in satisfaction as the goblin he targeted went slack jawed and dazed, unable to do anything by defend itself for a moment.
Feldspar and Algus could do little watch from the crowded doorway as the two women engaged the creatures.
Caught up in its successful attack from earlier, Tania's opponent again attacked her, sliding the blade along her thigh and gashing her deeply Goblin hits you again Tania, this time for 4 damage. This one seems quite good with his blade) In a moment that will live with the girl for some time, the creature quickly licked her blood from the blade, squealing with delight at the taste and turning hungry eyes towards her.
The goblin at the rear who had been pummeled by the rain and hail pushed past his stunned companion, ignoring the foes nearby in a desperate attempt to get downstairs. Tania and Mikka, you can make an AoO to prevent this, If you hit AC 15 and do at least 4 damage it fails to make it into the room and down the stairs. if not, then down he goes, screaming al the way. Mikka you have to beat AC17 though, as it will have some cover from the wall as it rushes past
Ok next round is up

Tania Teg |

You didn't mention the hp on the AoO. I only removed 4 so far.
Tania lets out a yell as she feels steel open a side of her. She snarls at the goblin drinking her blood but catches a glimpse of the one trying to make it down the stairs. Her sword slashes furiously at the creature, hoping to drop him before he runs away.
SwA: Arcane Strike
AoO: 2h longsword 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18; 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
She smiles as she catches the creature with great momentum, cutting it in half.
Turning to the offending one, she says: "You'll have to wait..." She then turned to the gazed one and takes advantage of his fuzziness. She brings her blade up in a great arc, using her legs to propel the blade with her own weight.
SA: 2h longsword 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11; 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
Don't think that's enough.
She then lets herself roll on the floor, trying to get between them and the stairs without making it too easy for them to hit her.
MA: Tumble to Z29, hoping the dazed one can't take an AoO 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11

DM Wrath |

You didn't mention the hp on the AoO. I only removed 4 so far.
Sorry Tania, completely missed that in my rush to type it all up. You copped 3 damage from the AoO. This one seems very capable, though that's purely a consequence of dice luck rather than stat changes. The dazed one cannot attack you. The other one can though and that roll isn't high to beat.
However, both Idrian and Algus can act at about the same intitiative as you, so I'll give them a chance to act before I determine if the Goblin gets an AoO on you yet (it may be dead at about the same time you decide to tumble :) )

Feldspar Flamebeard |

I have no idea where we are in initative, but I'll post my action just to be on the safe side.
Feldspar continues moving forward and strikes at the nearest goblin with his warhammer.
Move to Y27.
Power Attack at Z27. 1d20 + 4 - 1 ⇒ (5) + 4 - 1 = 8
Damage: 1d8 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 + 2 = 5
As the warhammer whirls past the goblin's head, Feldspar grunts with disappointment.

Algus Vordhosbn |

damn, I thought I had posted my action a while ago. maybe a memory lapse. <_<
Algus follows Idrian's actions and fires as well, attempting to pin down the goblin that's assaulting Tania.
Crossbow Shot!!(To Hit, w/PBShot): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
Crossbow Shot!!(Damage, w/PBShot): 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

DM Wrath |

Tania's two handed technique with her blade was both deadly and efficient. With two quick strikes, she felled both goblins she had teargeted and desperately tried to dodge forward and block the doorway. She stumbled in the step, openeing herself up for a reprisal from the last goblin but the creature failed to capitilse on the chance.
Idrian fired another arrow, this time scoring a nasty cut along the creatures head and causing a great rush of dark blood to rush into its eyes. The goblin screamed in pain and fear, mving in an erratic dance of pain that caused Feldspars blow and Algus' shot to go wide. Jo'no desperately tried to fiinish the thing with a stream of acidic ichor but the creatres pain response form Idrian's shot was so erratic, even his magic couldn't find the mark. In the end, Mikka stepped back slightly and calmly shot the animal with her bow. It dropped to the ground, squirming around the shaft briefly before lying very still.
A voice from the stairway below shouted a query in goblinoid. The voice was clearly not a goblin though, being far to deep and the accent sounded all wrong.
Goblinoid
Ok, fight over at this stage. Out of intitiative now and into free exploration mode. Over to all of you
