Aye, and I thank you for giving Menra the chance to spread a bit of magic into the hopeless world of Rue. It's going to be a very interesting journey for us all.

Grimdell the Griffon |

Interesting? We shall together weave such a tale the bards shall sing it until the end of song--should we not live to see such ourselves!

Lord Brycen |

"It appears that you lot all have the honour of assisting us in the restoration of the elven kingdom of Aerisael. You may also assist us in our quest to locate to stasis pods of our royal brethren. Congratulations."

Keska the Shadowed |

I suppose now would be a good time to ask: what would I have needed to do in order to craft a focus for the Champion spirit, monetarily and otherwise? Is there an ancient colosseum, barracks, or the like that I could have gotten material from to make one of the models you mentioned or something like a medalion?

DM Quoth |

You would need masterwork crafting tools and the appropriate skill to use them.
You could probably substitute a stone from the Trial Pit; Theviss has one of those. Sometimes criminals are allowed to appeal against their sentence by trial of combat against other prisoners, savage beasts, or professional fighters.

Keska the Shadowed |

Ok, sounds good then. Keska has the 50cr (units of credit abbreviation?) for a set of masterwork tools, so she would have picked those up and found either a stone or something sufficiently morbid (sufficiently intact hip joint? :-P) and carve a small representation of the Trial Pit with her Craft: Sculpture skill. Or she could have channeled a Trickster that day to get a different, more appropriate craft skill and bought a different tool instead, if you prefer.

Keska the Shadowed |

Sounds good then, thank you very much GM :-) since there's no additional cost to crafting the foci, would I be able to also make a connection with the Heirophant with something from a temple of Laelae, just in case?
And I apologize for the innundation of questions, I'm just wanting to be sure I'm doing everything right by you :-)

DM Quoth |

Well, we can't make it too easy, can we? ;)
No additional costs.... but the focus items degrade with each use, obliging you to make new ones. Let's say each focus item has 1d6 hp at creation. You roll the hp every time you craft a focus, and subtract one hp for every use. Once a focus' hp reaches zero, it is destroyed, and you have to replace it.

Menra Nabra |

That will likely take a moment until Quoth can tell me how much or even if Menra knows anything about your story.

Menra Nabra |

Reading the description of Video leads me to picture him as Iorveth from the Witcher series for some reason.

I assume you mean Virro, but autocorrect had other ideas. (That's why I turned mine off.)
Either way, not intentional. I've never played the Witcher, so never heard of the character until I just looked him up. Might have some similarities, but looking at the wiki, my first thought is Virro doesn't despise any particular sapient race. What's the point? We're all dead anyways.

Menra Nabra |

Whoops, yep.
I mainly meant in the way they look, being marred and blemished elves.

Serill Elamaer |

It seems we both dislike necromancy and enchantment but at least the similarities end there. Different focus school and different bond and different spell choices. This should be fun wizarding together.

Menra Nabra |

Necromancy is a terrible practice, and enchantment is but only onr means to an end! But year, we otherwise seem like very different types of wizards, and Menra no less looks forward to learning what he can of watching his own spellwork.
GM, was I able to recall any knowledge about Lord Brycen and his people with a 20 on history?

Menra Nabra |

Whell, I guess his kingdom is just far too old to know about these days. Least in a simple library such as his.

Menra Nabra |

Pretty mediocre rolls for me aside from that lone crit. Ain't that just? XP

Virro Intallanysiian |

So, I take it this'll be a theatre of the mind style combat without miniatures? Not complaining, and apologies if you explained that somewhere and I missed it. Just curious. It may affect my build choices in the future.

Yup, it's a theater of the mind. ^^; I am not skilled in the making of maps. No apologies needed on your part, I assure you!

Grimdell the Griffon |

For combat, a week is a long time to wait. I'd say three days would be fair during combat, but if we're going for a slower pace a week works.

Menra Nabra |

I gave her player a message to remind them, they'd been pretty busy so may not've noticed.

Menra Nabra |

It's certainly a thing.

Virro Intallanysiian |

Just to clarify, I'm unable to act at the moment, still too drunk to move despite being... injured somehow? Making sure I'm not missing a cue to post.
