"Odd. Why no skeletons in the front chariot?"
Jawhar thinks for a moment and begins to chuckle. "What if all of the stories of mummies and various undead are no more than a smoke screen? What if all we really have to deal with are these overly complicated traps?"
[i]Well played, Pharoah of Sphinxes![i]
"An arrow in the head will be an excellent test of the amount of unlife in these particular skeletons. Go ahead, Mythryndyr."

Hearing that they may be fighting skeletons, Jamir briefly considers switching from his rapier to his club, then quickly rejects the idea.
I may be too specialized, but even with the difficulty of stabbing something without skin I can probably be of more use with my rapier than with this hunk of wood.
”Ready.”

As Myth raises his bow the skeletons on the chariots suddenly erupt to life and do likewise. Jawhar edges toward the edge of the mist and notices that the combat is over.
Quite perturbed at the group's careless recklessness, he can't contain a small outburst.
"So, I guess the whole 'use caution', 'let them bunch together so we deal with them more efficiently' thing was a bad idea?.
An ounce of prevention indeed. I suppose you'll need some cure now. Fortunately you didn't all rush into an explosive tripwire."
Honestly not sure whose wand I am carrying right now, but I'll use it to heal anyone wounded.

lucklesshero |

Jawhar uses a wand of cure lt to heal Myth. take off 3 charges off one of the wands. You all spread out and quickly search the room everyone 'takes 10' finding nothing value except some old weapons and armor on the skeletons themselves. Even when you cast detect magic it reveals no magic in the room. Neither do you find concealed or secrete doors with your quick check. There's a passage leading to the west out of the room or you can return the way you came.

![]() |

Myth nods at Jawhar in appreciation for his healing prowess and then looks at the rest of his companions sheepishly. "My bad... thought I could get the first shot off...other than that first barrage, wasn't too bad though...thought I'd give Craggark a break from being on the receiving end of most of the damage thus far..."

"There'd better be something worthwhile in this tomb...," Craggark spouts before realising what he sounds like, "I mean, apart from the glory of uncovering lost history, that is."

"You don't think those two things could be mimics as well, eh?"

Jamir kicks at a pile of collapsed bones as he follows Myth out of the chamber, rapier held at the ready.
"I admit, friend Craggark, that I feel this tomb is lacking in both treasure and glory. How will I ever make a name for myself as the finest swordsman anywhere around the Inner Sea if I am so ineffective in our combats? My best use against those skeletons was as ... as ... as a distraction! I stood in the middle of the room and insulted mindless undead to get them to shoot at me instead of the rest of the party! I ask you, is that any way for a front-line fighter to behave?"
Neither Jamir nor I have ever played an MMO, but apparently "aggro" is a thing?

lucklesshero |

You head out the western passage about 20' it comes to a 'T' section. Continue west there is a set of stone double doors. turning south the hall continues on out of sight. There is another set of stone double doors on the west side of the hall further down however.
Refer to slide '11' the hallway turns south basically but there's two sets of doors on the western wall of hallway. One close one further down the hall. Please let me know any preparations also who is holding any light source. (ie. is Myth's bow the only light source from Analia's light spell?)

![]() |

Myth is using his Wayfinder. Jamir is holding a Sunrod, Jawhar has an Ioun Torch. This has been and will continue to be the loghting arrangement. We have listed it in our stat lines, per your request.

![]() |

"Hey," Craggark starts eloquently as the group reaches the stone double doors, "Look, I can't pretend to be Osirian or anything, but we found two concealed doors in that chamber with the mimic." Craggark blinks as no one follows his course of logic.
"If I'm some old rich dead guy, wouldn't I put some treasure in hidden places? We didn't check that other concealed door. I want to go back and check out that other secret door before opening anything big and obvious."
Craggark waits to see if anyone agrees with him before heading back the way that they came.

lucklesshero |

in addition to the concealed door there was another passage leading west out of the chamber where you encountered the Mimic. Refer to slide 6. Jawhar thanks for the reminder of the lighting situation. But honestly I don't check your stat blocks that often. I do refer to your 'headers' often. I simply do not check your resources ect.. because this group has proven itself competent in managing and tracking their own stuff. Any thanks for the overview.

![]() |

"We'll get around to it, Craggark. This tomb appears to be pretty extensive, better to complete a search of the first wing and then double back to check the other."
Torvald scratches his beard thoughtfully. "Were I designing a tomb, I'd place a few 'hidden' but relatively easy to find doors scattered around, with nothing inside but deathtraps. The appearance of trying to conceal something would lure in treasure-seekers, and their corpses would be conveniently out of the way!"

![]() |

I do refer to your 'headers' often.
That is what I was referring to as a "stat line". See next to my perception above ^^^

![]() |

"That is interesting Torvald . These 'hidden passages' could be nothing but traps designed to fool treasure hunters. We haven't found any bodies of previous treasure hunters though, unless they were cleared away, or worse, later animated as those we fought... That is a chilling thought."
Barely pausing to take a breath, the pale little girl speedily continues.
"But I was thinking that if Craggark really wants to go back now, I don't see why we shouldn't. There is likely more traps and danger through every door, and while we can try to guess things about how the Pharaoh planned this tomb, we really have no absolute knowledge telling us which way is the best. I trust our gut feelings as much as anything at the moment. And remember there were two other ways out of the mimic's room, not just one." Lia says in support of Craggark.

![]() |

Jawhar looks back into the chariot room.
"Certainly, the concealed doors are worth exploring. If we decided to attempt opening the mimic, we should certainly open the other concealed door as well.
However, instead of backtracking to mimic room, going into the next room, backtracking again to go through the third passage, then backtracking all the way back to here, etcetera, etcetera.
Wouldn't it be more efficient to clear all the way in one direction before making our way back?"
Nodding to Torvald's suggestion. "At this point, I don't think we are going to leave any corner of this tomb unexplored, even though you are probably right.
You know, the treasure is probably at the bottom of one of those easily disarmed pit traps."

![]() |

Myth nods to Jawhar. "I agree...we're already this far might as well see where it goes. We probably should've checked out the open passages in the mimic's room before the concealed doors but kinda late now. Who knows? Perhaps the tunnels circle around and hit all the other doors any way..."

![]() |

”I’ll be guided by the scout and the trapmaker,” the half-orc defers, ”but I wanted to express my preference. I’m still not going first, though.” he concludes.

seems like the consensuses is forward 1st door? 2nd door? move down the hall? 1st two to answer the same is where I move you..oh btw since Craggark has stated he's not in the front row..should I assume a front row of Jamir and Myth then Craggark and Torvald with Analia and Jawhar taking rear positions? enquiring minds need to know!

I think we've agreed to finish exploring the current wing we're in, then head back to the mimic room to either try the unhidden door or the other concealed one. I'm find with the suggested party order.

sorry I'm unclear what current wing means..Do you mean you're going to open one of the two sets of stone doors?(if so which one?) Do you mean your continuing to turn with the hall and head south (leaving the doors behind you?) or do you mean you just search the chariot room again?

I'm getting confused attempting to connect slide 9 to slide 11. I'm thinking that Slide 9 would connect to the left side of slide 11.
