As they all run in, Chrona fires a cone of flames out of her off hand at a group of goblins.
Burning Hands, Reflex halves DC 14: 1d4 ⇒ 1

Then as the confusion of combat ensues, Chrona strikes the nearest or most vulnerable goblin in a flurry of spells and slashes.
Spellstrike + Spellcombat, add on flank bonus if available, +3 to spell's attack roll if they're wearing metal armor
Spellstrike: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Shocking grasp, longsword damage: 1d8 + 2 + 1d6 ⇒ (1) + 2 + (2) = 5

On his initiative, Lackspell will follow the group in, stopping some 10 feet behind Praetor. Swiftly preparing an alchemical bomb, he will lob it at the center-most goblin of the group in front of Praetor (to maximise the splash effect

Assuming that hits then the one he hits takes...

Let out a snarl, Varak would charge in as well, joining his friends in combat. Seizing his chance, he'd open his jaws wide upon the first goblin he could reach, looking to snap his jaws down on his ugly foe.

Going after one of the bombed Goblins will drop it, Varak.

The remaining Goblins (there are I believe six left) shriek and go after you. Some of them have tongs that had been in the furnaces, and they use them to attack you. One of them, frightened by Lackspell's transformation, hurls glass at the alchemist.

The one attacking Arkon seems almost sure to hit, before Orz defends his master, bringing down the Goblin.

As the Goblin closes on her, Ren calmly pulls out daggers, and then when it thinks he is about to get her, twists away. She tumbles over so she is flanking the one attacking Varsk. Then she pops up stabs at the creature in front of her.

Assuming Ren killed her one, there's five left. I think Lackspell hit so that could be another one down although I don't know if the one he hit was already damaged. So my guess is 3 - 5
But you go before him in initiative anyway, so his potential kills don't matter - you are still in a target rich environment :)

Chrona seems to enter something reminiscent of a rage but much more controlled. She glares at the troublesome goblins and her hair beings to stand on end and flicking at the ceiling like flames. She steps up to corner a goblin, then raising her longsword it bursts into actual flames as she brings it down onto a quivering creature.

Praetor:
The look in Chrona's eyes is not quite evil, but indeed menacing enough to subtly push on your intuitive paladin teachings. It is more minor support to your suspicion that there is something Infernal about this woman. Though in spite of the apparent traits of devils, her grace and charm still radiate from her and attempt to lull your zeal into complacency.

Arkon, your crit does not confirm, but you kill the Goblin anyway. Orz goes and harasses one.

Ren, you move gracefully, then line up a strike at the vulnerable armpit of the Goblin's armor. It spurts blood and drops down, no longer able to fight.

Lackspell, you *literally* shove a bomb down a Goblin's throat and blow it's head off.

Chrona, you can't quite connect with the Goblin.

Without losing momentum Praetor charges another goblin, bringing his greatsword around behind his shoulder and swinging it in a horizontal arc at the foul beast's head.

"Don't let up! Bring them down!"

Praetor notices a look in Chrona's eye that goes beyond duty and even battle-lust. He sees a level of cruelty not typically present behind benevolent eyes.

These goblins have brought the beast out of Chrona. I hope she can reign it in once they are slain.


There is only one Goblin left after Varak and Praetor eviscerate their foes.

It makes a break for it, seemingly running for the door you all came through. As it nears there, it instead makes for the wall next to the door, revealing a hole in the wall that leads to stairs. It was to the right of you as you came in, and you didn't notice it until now...mostly on account of having to fight Goblins.

As it reaches the stairs, however, more beings appear. There are four more Goblins, and a man with pointed ears, fine clothes and long black hair. He has a shortbow on his person but it is not drawn. As he steps onto your level and observes the situation, he shouts orders in Goblin.

Goblin:
"The five of you! Tear apart the lightly armored ones! The women!"

He then rushes over to Praetor, deeming the armored and heavily armed man a threat he should deal with personally.

Two Goblins rush to Chrona, and two run to Ren, charing in with dogslicers

Goblin Attack Chrona: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14

Meanwhile, the unidentified man closes with Praetor, and in a fluid move, snakes around your greatsword and aims a debilitating strike at your temple.

Chrona's longsword bursts into flames as it wildly swipes through the air at a goblin. While striking at the creature a conical jet of fire bursts again from her free hand, bathing some goblins that are clustered together.

Recklessly spinning flames in both hands, Chrona's grin of joy shows she is without much care. The destruction, the heat, all the energy flowing through her, the Ifrit woman is entering a dance of ecstacy.

Leaving the leader to Praetor, Varak will rush in to aid Chrona against one of the goblins, providing the two flanking opportunities as he swipes at the ugly little beast with one of his claws. The goblins no longer needed to be left alive for questioning. Their leader did.

The man lashes out at you again, Praetor, feinting low with a round kick before flipping it up to attempt to strike at your temple. He allows the momentum to carry him through and performs a spinning back kick.
