Will there be an opportunity to buy gear before the Sanctioned Content portion starts?
Aroden's Prescience ability means he can reliably use higher-level scrolls (he can use his pre-roll for the caster level check) which can be a big advantage in the right circumstances. What I buy would depend on who is in the party.

There was a message stating that you had list a player and t hat if we had a 3 to 5th level character we could join. Sorry for thinking you needed help. So don't him trying to scold people Arisen.

Terevalis/Gray Son is a good player and will be able to differentiate the story in two tables Aroden.
Sorry again guys for dropping out, can you please take my character out of the campaign GM?
Thanks again

Sincere apologies for not posting recently, life got busy and I fell off the posting bandwagon. I promise to keep my posting rate up from here on out.
And Wow! I don't think I ever looked at this page! Whoops, I completely missed the purchases by the end of fight 2, oops. There is one thing I desperately want to get before starting, a cure light wounds potion.
So she has bought a flask of Acid and a CLW potion for a grand total of 60 GP.
Oh and PFS information.

Hello DoubleGold, can you please take my character out of the campaign so I do not see this game anymore?
Thanks!

Am I missing something?
I am completely baffled by this fear of all the goblins turning into zombies. We aren't North of the Wall.
I once met a guy in PFS who tried to desecrate every corpse he came across so they couldn't rise as undead -- it was annoying, excessively paranoid, and distasteful.
The risk of a random pack of wolves happening by (who would disassemble the corpses) would seem much higher than the risk of a roving necromancer who just happens to have all the onyx he needs for a pathetic goblin zombie horde. Besides, any necromancer worthy of the name can easily find and kill enough things to max out his HD cap. So I don't understand the concern.
Is there some other reason to bury them?
If it's about how goblins treat their dead, these are the typical fates according to Goblins of Golarion: 1) left to rot where they fell, 2) corspe given to goblin who killed them or first to reach the corpse, often for humiliating purposes, 3) fed to scavenger beasts, 4) dumped in a pit or off a sea cliff, or 5) eaten by other goblins. It explicitly notes that they are generally not buried.
I feel like this is way off the point of the mission so I moved it to Discussion.

It's more a fear/motivation of Faliana's than any particular reason.
The first creature she ever fought was a white wolf that she brought down with a crit crosbow bolt. The GM also described it in a way that made me feel sad for the creature and it wouldn't seem out of palce to have the CG follower of Ashava (who guides lost souls to the boneyard) to bury him/her. I then decided to incorporate that into her character. The very next scenario she was in Bloodcove and had to stay in disguise. When she tried to bury the men she'd killed people looked at her funny and she made up the necromancer reason. She still uses it when challenged on the topic though.
Mostly, it was something that Jeydahvu picked up, druming up some interaction, and was a good way to fill the time between actions. If it is an issue, she can readily leave it. (Since the Bloodcove scenario, I'd forgotten completely about that motivation of hers and only remembered with the skeletons from earlier.)
I didn't know that about goblins, though, and seems extremely fitting for them.

I like good RP too, Lynn, but I didn't want unnecessary friction. I didn't understand Faliana's reasoning at all (either in-character or out), but at least now I do as a player.

I didnt know the guards did that here actually. Mostly thought this was a out of the way dungeon kind of thing. But now that we know that we probably dont wanna go out of our way to obliterate anything.

I hadn't even realized that there might be support from the guards in town. Well then there is no point in arguing about the bodies!
Sorry for the small post today, it was a busy day at work today. Tomorrow is also looking like it might be a full day as well.

Lynn's never had people actually see past her disguise without it being because of her special qualities(she drops human form when she runs out of spell slots or falls unconscious) Initiate DENY EVERYTHING MODE

LOL - assumed us Pathfinders would be aware of you famous shenanigans by now, or that we saw a fox tail or two poke out of Lynn's pants at some point... :P

well Aroden got it quite early on but never said anything. Jey got the roll when searching on the bridge but never made notion of it till now. But with the combo of those last two comments she's gonna be like, 'w..wait do they know? crap crap crap improvise!'
Knew i should have kept her in her dress, these pants haven't been broken in to hide the tails yet.

From Aroden's point of view, he's trying to be more cosmopolitan than the vague memories in his head. In the heat of combat he pulled out an old battle cry before trying to amend it, given the mixed-race group around him. And, in the process, accidentally giving away that he might know Lynn's true nature. He knew earlier, but had kept quiet because she clearly wanted it a secret.

DM could you put our tokens back on the table i don't actually have mine downloaded cause i'm a t~$+. Paizo eating stuff is also a big issue so anytime i'm writing something larger than normal i ctrl+a ctrl+c it like.. instinctively(also due to coding) a good habit to get into with a site that's this wonky. for example when i went to switch to discussion to post this because it was larger than i thought lol.

Sorry for disappearing for a while! Last week proved to be a crazy roller coaster of paperwork, birthdays, a cold knocking me out, and phone calls out of the blue from my parents to say goodbye to pets… I haven’t had much time to sit down in front of a computer, and almost no time over the weekend. I truly am sorry about that, things should be smoother for a while and I'll try being more on top of warning when things like this pop up.

Aw man all those things are a pain to deal with, hope this week is way better. The worst is the poor pets *offers a cyber hug*.

Hi GM DG,
Would Jey's 4min buffs still be up for this fight? is this the boss fight?
Thanks!
Aroden Reincarnated
|
If this is not the boss fight, Aroden definitely wants to do some information gathering before moving on.
Who is this woman we are fighting? What is her role in the goblin raids? What is this place we are in? What other creatures are down here? Who is in charge? Would be good to know something of the story.
He will question Orsik, Ameiko Kaijitsu, Lyrie, and (if she survives) Nualia.
He does not want to fight a powerful foe on their home turf without knowing something about them, and preferably a lot. He will want to rest and prepare spells if he can find out anything about the ultimate boss.
I'm very happy to have done this much of the dungeon without resting, but I think we may be getting low on bardic performance, rage rounds, and spells - I don't think I'm the only one who would want to rest before a final battle.

Oh man i forgot i've got silvered bullets i shoulda loaded one earlier or bought some alchemical cartridge(silvered) things DX. Or we just hit it really hard one or two more times. The cleric lady shouldn't be any trouble since she needs LOS to cast spells i beat.

Hey Doublegold, are we still on track to finish before gameday? Because if this is just a mini-boss, and we have a proper boss after this... might take a bit.
