Faywen Marisal
"As am I. I don't know you but you're not who we're here for."
GM Fuzzfoot
She moves to reveal a secret door behind her. "You will find Nualia down there." With that, she starts packing up her research and prepares to leave.
Trox Ragmend
Trox is surprised by the opening of the door and not at all sure if they did the right thing letting her go. Never been much for reading people. He tightens his shield on his arm and nods.
"Let go."
Druamin
Druamin seems a little concerned with just letting her go but he trusts his new companions. "We'll bring up the rear if one of you wants to lead."
Faywen Marisal
Faywen watches the woman depart, before nodding and preparing to follow Trox down the steps.
GM Fuzzfoot
The woman does indeed pack up and leave, apparently no love lost for Nualia or this location.
Behind the door you find stairs leading down.
A stone door just around the corner from the steps (E1) hangs slightly ajar, the detailed carvings that once covered its surface defaced by chisel marks and hammer blows to the extent that only a few remnants of images (mostly of gemstones and crowns) remain. The floor here is slanted downward toward the west.
Past the door (E2), two pillars support the ceiling in here. In many places the stone walls, floor, and ceiling are caked with ancient grime and soot. Alcoves in the north and south walls contain partially damaged statues of a man in robes clutching a book and a glaive. The entire room is canted toward the west, and whatever ancient upheaval caused the complex to tilt knocked the statues from their bases so that now they lean against the western walls of their alcoves.
Druamin
Druamin looks with curiosity at the slanted floor. "Something big happened here. Maybe it was natural." He spots the leaned over statues and moves to the closest one. He pushes his weight against the statue to right it.
Strength: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
Faywen Marisal
Faywen steps into the room after Erond, examining what images remain and trying to see if any of it is familiar to her.
History: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
GM Fuzzfoot
Nothing stands out as obvious, but you can tell these are some ancient ruins.
Erond leads the way, and then stops everyone short.
This short hallway rises in a slope to the east. Five feet from the western door, the floor is polished and shiny, unlike the dusty floor elsewhere. A pair of stone statues depicting stern men wielding glaives stand in alcoves north and south of this section of the hallway. At the eastern end stand two stone doors, their faces carved with strange runes. Just past the doors is a third alcove in which a partially collapsed statue sits. The top half of the statue is missing, leaving behind a ragged stump of a torso.
Faywen Marisal
"Reynard," Faywen says, turning to face him, "would you mind taking a crack at this?"
Trox Ragmend
Trox shifts his feet and eyes the statues.
Druamin
Huh. Well I'm no good and disabling traps. Unless you want it done the old fashioned way. Done plenty of that in my time."
Druamin gives a short hand signal to Kobu, telling him to stay close.
Reynard Freeman

Reynard nods to Faywen. "But of course, dear lady. Everyone step back a bit, please." the Tiefling says, then pulls out his tools with a flourish.
If I may, I'll take 20 for a 29. If not, I'll take 10 for a 19.
GM Fuzzfoot
Taking 10 is fine, and let's each of you clear the space.
On the other side, Erond does not hear anything of note.
Trox Ragmend
Erond pointing is enough for Trox. He raises his shield and moves though the door. His intention would be to get through and leave room for others to move in behind.
Faywen Marisal
Faywen steps up behind Erond, peeking her head around to look down the southern hallway.

Wide stone ledges of red marble line the curving walls of this room, which is well lit by four burning skulls that sit in each corner. Three chairs rest in the room, and both stone ledges are covered with old books, scrolls, teeth, bones, scrimshaw artwork, jars of deformed creatures soaking in brine, taxidermied animals and limbs, and other strange objects. To the north, a large round fountain filled with frothy blue water fills the room with the gentle sound of bubbling.
"Who are you? No matter, I will bathe in your blood tonight!"
Nualia is clearly aasimar, yet she has a distinct scar across her belly and a demonic claw for one arm/hand.

Reynard - did you want to move into the room first? Once you enlarge, you are going to need to squeeze to move (and squish your friends in the process).
Nualia uses a free action to activate a medalion on her neck, and she casts a spell.

Just for reference though the mutagen is item like it is an su meaning its a standard action to use a mutagen including retrieval. Here is the FAQ.
"What kind of action is it to use an extract, mutagen, or throw a bomb?
It is a standard action to use an extract, mutagen, or throw a bomb. This action includes retrieving the necessary materials from the alchemist's supplies, in the same manner as retrieving a material component is included in the act of spellcasting."

You can save some time - mutagens are a standard action to use in total.
GM Fuzzfoot
The yeth hound seems to understand as he is hit with the blast of water, he immediately howls in that bone chilling tone you are starting to come to know.
Everyone must succeed on a DC 12 Will save or become panicked for 2d4 rounds. This is a sonic mind-affecting fear effect.
The hound then moves forward to protect its master.

Reynard freezes momentarily, but manages to shake off the effects of the howl. Then he drinks his extract of enlarge person, and draws yet another vial. Extract of Shield for next round.
Faywen Marisal
Oh jeez, I completely forgot about those! Can I still use mine for a reroll?
GM Fuzzfoot
Yes, you most certainly can. Probably a very good use of one.
Raynard is enlarged on the map. Everyone remember you can make a 5' step to avoid AoOs.
Erond - do you have an action? and Druamin does still have a standard action. Just want to make sure you all make the most of you options.
Faywen Marisal
Great! I'd actually like to use it for the +4 bonus instead of doing a reroll, which brings me up to a 15 on my save. While the odds for a reroll are good, I'd rather take the sure bet.
