There i posted an alternative build of Hamailii with some feats retrained and equipment exchanged.
Would it be possible to get some potions of bull's strength and an efficient quiver?

Bran O'Dimm |

Is there anyone in town who can make my composite bow magical? I was reading some ranged stuff and I remembered Adaptive.
I can easily Flex into Deadly Aim and with that be fairly competent.

GM Zelligar |

@Bran - yes, there are casters who can make your composite longbow +1 Adaptive.
@Hamailii - potions of Bull's Strength are no problem. And as to the retraining, you can keep working on that with Lady Cerila and her rangers, or with some of the Brindol forces. It looks fine, but we'll just have it take place over a few days. Don't forget there is also Haste available (Tal'ariel has it now), so that is 3 attacks with Rapid Shot.
Efficient Quiver, although it requires spells that are not in P6, doesn't really give any capabilities beyond those found in P6. It's just a convenience. So I don't think it's unreasonable, and couple of crafters working together could figure it out.
The Wand of Scorching Ray definitely has its uses, targeting touch AC, but Point-Blank Shot and Precise Shot will help with that too.

That's super cool, thanks!
Maybe i can even get Manyshot with some Epic Feats^^
Just tell me how to do the transition please, i would then be looking for a bow, although i could enchant it myself i believe.
Effectively there are 2 feats to retrain.
Efficient Quiver is just to have tons of arrows and the bow readily available.

Bran O'Dimm |

Some way to Fly is always important.
Maybe some Illusion spells?
A lot of the big Battlefield Control is higher level so I'm out of ideas.

Tal'ariel Rhuidon |

I have Create Pit on my memorized spells.
For scrolls, I propose:
Scroll of Fly
Scroll of Protection from Arrows (Communal)
Scroll of Resist Energy (Communal)
Scroll of See Invisibility
Scroll of Obscuring Mist
These are basically spells that I will use where spell DC doesn't come into play.
Also, I think we should arm ourselves with Tanglefoot Bags to try and bring flying creatures to the ground.

Bran O'Dimm |

Pro Arrows (Comm) seems pretty decent even at CL 5.
Obscuring Mist might be the best of the cheap options though as it can protect some of the innocent people that might be nearby as well.
Would Tanglefoot Bags be included in "Magical Supplies"? If so I think its a great idea. Does everyone have a ranged option as well?
There is the problem with Action Economy though as you and Hamailii are the only ones who can use the Scrolls.

Tal'ariel Rhuidon |

Yes, scrolls are limiting in that way. Potions of Fly instead of scrolls are a good option. I'm just offering suggestions to fill out our budget.

![]() |

If I am able to get the bow some potions of build strength would be good.
As the party cleric I would also be interested in a wand of cure medium wounds or something similar by now.

GM Zelligar |

Okay, let's say for the time being:
Scroll of Fly (375)
Scroll of Communal Resist Energy (375)
Scroll of Communal Protection from Arrows (375)
Scroll of See Invisibility (150)
Scroll of Obscuring Mist (25)
Scroll of Bull's Strength (150)
Tanglefoot Bag (50)
That is 1,500 gp worth of gear.
Hamailii also manages to get her bow enchanted to +1 Adaptive before you need to head out.
Hamailii has a wand of CLW, and a wand of CMW isn't that much better; it costs 6 times as much and heals about 2 times as much. Her channels are a pretty good option that I don't think she has ever run low on.

Tal'ariel Rhuidon |

Let's make it 4x Tanglefoot bag instead of buying the Scroll of Bull's Strength.
And I will adjust my spells accordingly!
If someone wants a potion of Fly, just say so and cross off two scrolls.

Bran O'Dimm |

Potion of Fly seems very restrictive cost wise. The utility from Arrows and Energy both seem really good.
Sorry I'm limited in reception, away for the long weekend.

Tal'ariel Rhuidon |

Worth asking, Tal has Scribe Scroll and could write most of those scrolls. Could we squeeze out an extra potion of Fly as a result?

Bran O'Dimm |

It seems like every time there is a major Diplomacy check, we manage to break through that -Cha.
I find this incredibly amusing and almost poignant that the dice Gods allow it to be as such.

Bran O'Dimm |

I should mention that I will have limited internet access until Monday evening (maybe even Tuesday morning).
Going on a little trip for my upcoming birthday!
Have fun everyone!

Gaius Trevelyan |

Hey Everyone,
I'm off to Italy for the next week so I won't be posting much, if at all. Please bot me as required. :)

Bran O'Dimm |

I'll probably take Cunning for the extra 6 Skill Ranks so I can finally max out Diplomacy.

Tal'ariel Rhuidon |

I'll take Outflank, so everyone has another possible buddy to trigger that awesome feat!

Bran O'Dimm |

I took Cunning.
Put 5 Ranks into Diplomacy moving it from a +3 to a +8 and then 1 into P: Soldier, which I think might get some value coming up. Not to mention he's kind of turned into an impromptu commander so its fitting.

I was just looking at encouraging spell.
While i think i could take good hope more often, i think i have only 1 slot where i can use it as 4th level spell?
6 minutes of an additional +1 bonus for 6 people, not sure if that's worth a feat.
Right now i would lean towards desperate battler, giving me a +1 morale bonus when noone of you is within 10 feet (easily doable most often with my speed i guess) or elven accuracy to reroll miss chances.
Or could i spend 2 feats to raise the BAB to +6 and then take manyshot?
Else i'm open to suggestions.

![]() |

Yeah i had that list of feats, but a lot of stuff doesn't really work like i originaly thought. Was mainly a collection of possibly useful stuff.
Point taken about desperate battler.
I'll send you a PM with some questions.

GM Zelligar |

Great. Once everybody is set with their new feat, I'll move things ahead.
Bran - Cunning
Gaius - Weapon Specialization
Tal'ariel - Outflank
Hamailii - TBD
No significant loot from this battle, but again, this is not really a campaign of collecting and selling loot - you have NPCs gifting you arbitrary amounts of stuff fairly often.

Bran O'Dimm |

So... I don't think its a good idea to sortie.
As the dwarves say, buildings can be rebuilt.

Gaius Trevelyan |

Gaius has negative social stats, polite conversation is nearly out of his depth! I usually play really high Cha characters though so this is a nice change for me. :)

Tal'ariel Rhuidon |

So, what do we think about where the clerics should go? My vote is clerics on the battlefield, though they should try to be non-combatants. If there is a supply of Potions of Invisibility for them, even better.

Bran O'Dimm |

I'll take a read tomorrow and post up later. I playtested my new RPG that I built tonight and I am exhausted. Great feedback though!

Gaius Trevelyan |

On the battlefield is better IMO - we need easy access to them. Their combat orders are 'get out of combat' as quickly as possible. Simples! :D

Gaius Trevelyan |

Hamailii perhaps? She tends to have the best overview of our battles.
No idea who the fourth should be - any ideas?

Bran O'Dimm |

How about Sellyria? The elves have been allies in this battle, I think it should be fair that they feel like allies in this battle.
That is my opinion.

![]() |

I'm still around and catching up.
Apologies for the silence, have been rather busy and then sick, now recovering.
Don't really know what Gaius is talking about right now, but i want to hint that i'll be traveling the first two weeks of September and then have a seminar upcoming at work the week after.
I'll hopefully have internet - just booked it - and post as much as i can.

Tal'ariel Rhuidon |

Feel better Hamailii! We are plotting battle tactics ahead of the Battle of Brindol. The question is (1) who in our group should get a Telepathy Bond and (2) what other person on the battlefield should get it?
Question for GM Zelligar--What forces would Lady Kaal, Captain Ulverth, and Sellyria Starsinger control?
If we are going to do battle on owlback, then it seems like we might fly with the elves as an aerial cavalry unit, which is where I'm guessing Sellyria would be? In which case no need to telepathy bond Sellyria since she will be close to us.

Gaius Trevelyan |

Gaius at least would be better on the ground - he's best at a bottleneck like a wall breech or the top of a ladder where he doesn't need to move much.

Bran O'Dimm |

No rush.
This seems to be the last major decision. I'm here but I'll wait on the GM to give us a little more information before we make any hasty decisions.
