"Does it hurt?" she asks innocently, still blushing. "But if it were unpleasant then why would anyone want to pay someone else to do that... "
"Um, if you're going to start out on this....subject..." as he turns an even brighter shade of red, "it might make more sense to start with individual genders first. You know...learn to walk before you ride....RUN! Run! Argh!!!" as he quickly switches the document back to an earlier chapter.
"Oh. I didn't realize that I hadn't started reading at the beginning. Er, thanks," she mumbled.
"Does it hurt?" she asks innocently, still blushing. "But if it were unpleasant then why would anyone want to pay someone else to do that... "

Tam presses a few buttons and a new section on female anatomy comes up.
"That. Though I'm told women who are physically active when younger have a tendency to...um...have already taken care of that. After that, it can be really amazing. At least if the partner has some idea of what they're doing, of course."

"If you can process written material like you can figure out machinery, you could read this thing backwards and get it better than most people, Aananda," he says with an akward smile, grateful for any slight distraction from this subject so he can get his wits back about him.

Some stuff Tam knows, and the rest he has to reference. Regardless, the embarrassment is the same, but he tries his level best to answer everything without having a nervous breakdown. The fact that Aananda is slightly less uncomfortable because he obviously is as well helps a bit, at least.
After staying in the back alley for what some might consider an unusally long time, Tam takes advantage of a break in the research and questionning.
"Okay, I think we've been back here long enough - Ryo's going to start wondering where we went. Best to call it a night probably" as he notes the darkness that has crept up on them.
"Keep the datapad for now, and read through it as you have time. When you've got questions, come ask me and I'll help with them. Sound good?" he asks with a smile.

They said they'd be right back but it's been two days, maybe three, and I haven't had anything to eat, though the last time I ate I threw up on the floor and the guy, he slipped in it and fell on his back, which was really funny, but he wasn't laughing, probably 'cause that was the third time he slipped in something I left on the floor, but the first two times I piddled in my pants. He really should learn to look down before he walks 'cause there's all kinds of stuff that happens down here."

"Yeah," she said with a shy smile. "I think I could use a break anyways. Sorry you got stuck, um, amending my education," she said, still pretty embarrassed.
"No need to apologize for wanting to learn something normal and nonharmful, as one of my teachers used to say," Tam replies as he smiles back at Aananda. "I just...." his voice trails off as he looks at her, then he shakes his head slightly, as if clearing his thoughts.
"We should get back inside I guess..."

The small person stands up with no difficulty, with the grace of a full grown man.
"Thank you. Will you both be my friends? I haven't had many friends lately, they keep getting freaked out when I mysteriously appear. I don't do it on purpose, it just kind of happens, like the time when Roirdan was in the shower and he didn't have any clothes on and I was like 'Why don't you have any clothes on and why are you getting yourself all wet, do you like it?' and he was like 'get outta here you creepy little midget!' and that made me feel sad, but he never answered my question and I have lots of questions, 'cause I'm kinda curious and I could really use some coffee 'cause I'm kinda running slow and coffee gets me back to normal. Do you like birds?"

Barring any other unusual goings-on in this alley, Tam and Aananda take the talking baby back inside the Juggling Dwarf to get him some food.
Ryo is sitting at the same table, staring at the cards he has placed on it. He looks up when they get close.
"You know, when it took you awhile to come back, I checked the cards to see if anything was wrong. Imagine my surprise when The Child showed up between The Traveler and The.." He catches sight of the strange baby with them. He blinks, then smiles.
"Doesn't it normally take nine months for a human baby to be born? Just how long have I been sitting here alone?"
Ryo is sitting at the same table, staring at the cards he has placed on it. He looks up when they get close.
"You know, when it took you awhile to come back, I checked the cards to see if anything was wrong. Imagine my surprise when The Child showed up between The Traveler and The.." He catches sight of the strange baby with them. He blinks, then smiles.
"Doesn't it normally take nine months for a human baby to be born? Just how long have I been sitting here alone?"
Much facial redness ensues, with Tam giving Ryo a bit of a surprised look. "Okay - I know I can blurt things out without thinking, but that's just in poor taste, Ryo." ;P
"Wait - between The Traveller and what other card?" he asks as he gets a booster seat for the baby.
"Hm? Oh, the Gemeni. Representing two sides to one coin, two personalities, even two bodies in extreme cases of magic gone array. I'm assuming it refers to Aananda, since she can be calm one minute, and running around like a lizard the next."
"Bad taste? Maybe, but the joke was not aimed at Aananda. I believe her to be more sensible than that. And I am not sure if humans are diferent were you are from. Were did you find the little one anyway?"
