I understand your frustration. You see, until just recently, I too thought I was human. Turns out I'm actually a hotel for micrscopic mechanical insects that were injected into me without my knowledge. I'm forming a support group called "The Previously Human" that might be able to help you cope with your frustration.

Nodding as he leaves the room, Razule heads for the medical section(a newly added section, an addition prompted by memory and common-sense) and begins his search.

Oh.. my.. Alchemy. It seems I've also had time to go to my lad and make up something to settle her stomach.

He returns about 10 minutes later, carrying a book and small cup.

"Okay, turns out is isn't serious. This little drink I whipped up should help, but it's probably not going to remove the morning sickness entirely. And, believe it or not, there may be some foods that will make you sick if you see or smell them."

"Morning sickness? But it's the middle of the night...that makes no sense. And thank you, Razule," she added, sipping the drink he handed her. "Actually this does seem to help. I'm feeling quite a bit better."

"And if food is going to start bothering me, how am I supposed to know which kinds of food to avoid? Especially since I'm so hungry all the time."

Hey, I thought I was human too for most of my life. Well, I wasn't, but I thought I was. You guys at least actually were....;)

Life just got really stressful. I'll be running around a lot today, so I'll be back tomorrow, but not so much today.

"Yeah, I didn't get the name either.. As for the foods, it might be a bit of trial-and-error for a while. Once you know which foods to avoid though, you'll know which ones you can eat, and can get Tamrin to cook them for you. I'll work on the desserts personally, of course. I'll just leave the book with you." Razzy says as he hands the book to her and dashes off before Tamrin can suggest he should be the one cooking it all, grinning at the thought of the Tamrin formrly known as human cooking not quite fast enough.

While all of that has been going on, Master Quo has gotten the rescued children calmed down, and settled in for the rest of the night with a promise to return them to their families in the morning.

Meanwhile....

The bored little pixie yawned as she watched the shadows starting to coalesce around the black silk scarf. Varhonnen picked the dumbest things to act as his phylactery. And it always took such a very long time for him to re-form. She pouted. Sitting around was no fun at all. She was bored.

Ooh, a kitty! ^.^ We're gonna have so much fun. You want to play with Joivenna don't you? *hides poisoned blade behind back* It'll be lots of fun, I promise. ;)

*sniff* *speech bubble illusion*

You brought a flavored toy! I'll use it to pick pixie wings from my fangs!

Okay, my mind is about as scattered as it can possibly be. I'm not gonna be able to focus until we find out about the whole job thing on Friday. Waiting for the other shoe to drop sucks. And all of this while I'm trying to get signed up for school. :/
So, I'm gonna hold off on bringing back Varhonnen and friends for just a little. If anyone else has a villain that would like to make an appearance now, feel free.

All of my villianous plots are set in the future, and while we are in the time-traveling genre, I don't want to bring them in until it's time. Guess I could give you another preveiw, but anything is subject to change as the story progresses forward.

Besides, doesn't it take a few days for liches to reform after being destroyed?

Yeah, but he has assistants. I was gonna have them make trouble, but I'm just way too scattered right now. I was basically giving you guys a heads up that there's going to be a lull in case anyone had anything they were dying to unleash on our unsuspecting heroes. :P

*rubs hands together and smiles*

Who wants to spar with the kiddies?

A haggard 'good morning' to all, and I hope you get good news today, Aananda.

I'll be honest...with my own RL stuff going on, and the fact that I've been neglecting my RL games a bit to make time to post, I may have to take a break from this to re-prioritize some things. I'm beginning to feel like I've spread myself too thin.

So, maybe we take a break for a week? I could really use a little time to deal with RL stuff too, and it's a lot harder to post in the summer since the kidlet demands attention and stuff. That sound okay to everyone?

It's fine with me. I'm trying to get a new pbp of the ground. Link, just in case you want to follow it.

Mornin' all.

I'm going to be out of the loop for the next two weeks or so - a family member just had some major surgery, and that's got myself and my sweety packing bags to head out of town and help out with their initial 'at home' recovery period.

Tam will just park himself at the cottage and work on some 'upgrades' - go ahead and keep on posting after the end of next week. I'll catch up as best I can when things get back to some sense of normalcy on my end.... :/

I'm not gonna be on on Monday. I have a financial aid meeting in the morning and all kinds of errands in the afternoon. Once we get to the end of August and classes start, I'm gonna be busy in the mornings Mon through Thurs and all day on Friday. (And Saturday and Sunday afternoons too. Having to go seven days sucks.) Figured I'd give you guys a heads up on that. We'll see how things play out. I may have little bits of time here and there that I don't see now.

I see that Tam is out of commission for a while. Hope that whoever it was who had the surgery recovers quickly and relatively painlessly.

As for the rest of you, are you ready to get started again on Tuesday, or would you like a longer break?

For me the break will be a bit longer, as I'm going to GenCon Indy in the morning... :P

If any of you are going to be there as well, I'm blonde, wear glasses, and will be wearing either a red shirt with a red dragon on the front or a black shirt with a red dragon on the front and the words "Dungeons and Dragons" also on the front.

Got it. Have fun. I wish I were going to be there, but lack of funds and all that. I'm sure you'll have a blast. And we can get back to the game next week if you like.

I'm fine with starting again next week. Whether or not my home connection decides to quit acting like an undead(connection light flashing, but no connection) is another story.

Actually, I'm just posting for the dot, because I keep losing this thread. Don't mind me.

Sorry, force-of-habit from my RL game...

Awesome. :) Although after watching about a million episodes I have to say, what happened on the last episode of DBZ was pretty much the same thing that's gonna happen on this episode. Piccolo and Krillan are in over their heads. Vegeta whines about how he should be the most powerful. Bulma complains about all the violence. Goku goes all glowy and announces each move as he does it.....You know, the usual. :)

In the meantime, on As the Hidden World Turns....;P

Our group defeated the lich and rescued the children, but not to worry. He'll be back. Also, Aananda is suddenly struggling with some massive morning sickness. And we have a bunch of kids camped out in the living room until morning when we'll take them all back to their families.

So now we get to make plans... or go back to sleep? Have I mentioned I need rest a bit more than other people? This non-lethal damage is going to add up eventually...

Which brings up the subject of whether or not the use of my cards can inflict the fatigued and/or exhausted conditions. I think a Fort save equal the level of the spell being emulated may work. I'd really like a system of some sort, but I can't think of anything past a Fort save based of spell levels...

Fatigued and exhausted is good but a bit limiting. There really needs to be more degrees there. Otherwise you're gonna keep over at the end of every fight.

And where we left them, they were getting some sleep as best they could, so I'm guessing we'll be starting them up again in the morning as they try to figure out their next move.

So back to nonlethal then... Hmm.

"Well, since morning sickness isn't all that serious, I suggest we all go back to bed. I'll get the children back home in the morning, explaining that I'd been asked by other parents to find their son. Seers do that often enough that it won't attract suspicion."

"I don't think they'll remember much off tonight, which is really for the best. Those poor kids.."

"I'm going to enjoy destroying the phylactery."

"What's a phylactery?"

Aananda wrote:

When it comes to liches, you can only kill them by destroying their pylactery. If a lich is destroyed but the item isn't, they'll come back. Destroy it though..."

"The problem though, is that a phylactery can be just about any small item, from a box to a ring to a necklace. But I will find it."

Wow, it's been a while since this was said...

Good morning.

I'm so bored I've started writing! Do something less boring than nothing already!!!!

-_-

Sorry, son. Mommy's been feeling a bit ill lately.

In all seriousness I've been getting over an ear infection. Took much longer than necessary too since the first time I went to the doctor it was a new one and she didn't know about my ear infection issues so wouldn't give me antibiotics when she couldn't see any evidence of infection. Now I've got the antibiotics and lo and behold I am slowly starting to get better. It's so much fun being a medical anomaly. :/

I tried to post yesterday, but the site wouldn't come up. So I'm trying to get caught up on stuff and am able to post in a limited capacity until I get RL stuff done. Like dishes. They always pile up so when I'm sick. :/

Ah, that explains it. You see, *pretends to continue speaking*

No real worries on the writing or lack of posting(though the others don't seem to be around:[ ). The lack of posting has allowed me to write, and that writing is about what's going to happen in the future when/if we go with the "Antiarus' School for Gifted Youngsters" arc(for yet another X-Men reference).

I'm calling the first one "A Cure For Boredom" and it's sitting in the folder "Stories of an Amethyst."

*listens to screams/gasps/stunned silence*

Also, about the dishse. You have a little one, yes? I suggest putting a stool in front of the sink. Say it builds character and give the little organic dishwasher a piece of pare, a pencil, and the Core book afterward.

Grandma Ryleh in her hey-day?

Taron Sunwake wrote:

Ah, yes. Those were good days. Days when I didn't have to go around on two feet all of the time. It may be good for blending in, but this being human half the time is hard to get used to. ;)

Family....driving.....me...insane.....Is it time for school yet? ;)

Ah, that reminds me. Grandmother, you have an email headed your way.

School? Are we skipping ahead to my story arc? I still need to prepare the xchedules!

Headmaster Ryo wrote:

Not that I'm aware of. I was more talking about RL. Classes start tomorrow for me. The kidlet doesn't start until the seventh. But any way you slice it, it means a little less family togetherness time, which sounds awesome. :)

Oh, and thanks for the headsup on the email. I check that account infrequently of late.

Greetings, Starfighters. Please check your email when you get a chance...

Male Human Mutant/12

I'm still here Lurking, if anyone else is out there.

Female Kobold

Oh, good, you guys aren't dead. Hopefully. :P
