Lots of patience here. I have a hard job as well. But they pay me well at least. And most of the time I am proud of what I do, which helps. If you want to talk about it some I am all ears.

Oathar The Vigilant |

I am 100% disabled so I have no job. All I have is time right now. I'd take up some of the slack of those of you that are overworked if I could.

GM Helaman |

Sorry all but I am dropping a number of games and this is one of them. I love the passion that you all bring to the game but can't manage this along with my work and other personal issues. I've a single game that I am GMing that loath to let die (even that is wearing on me) but I don't have it in me to manage another.
Thanks for all your patience and my apologies.

Kimberly Snow |

please let not this game be cursed....

brvheart |

I know the five of you have just gone through getting a replacement DM, so I can understand if some may not wish to try again but I am willing. Who posted out for the GM last time?

Anna Dunsany |

Sorry to see you go, Helaman. I wish you a speedy recovery.
As far as trying to find another replacement DM, I'm up for it. I don't envision me leaving these boards (I've got a few other games still going strong), so I'd be willing to try to rekindle the magic we've shared in this game.
That being said, I'd understand if the others want to throw in the towel on this game. We've dealt with the big cliffhanger, and brought a bit of resolution -- at least to the Caromarc storyline.
Like I said, I'll be around, so if another GM wants to pick us up, I'll be here.
(Not entirely sure how this game got made inactive so fast, though.)

Danica Quinn |

Oh man. Really, really sorry to see you go Helaman. Thanks for giving it a shot.
Anyways, apologies all for being MIA. Was hospitalized for a couple of days with the flu. Never had it this bad in my life. Think the doctors over did it though. I could have gotten the bed rest at home. I was in no real danger. Glad to be back to some normalcy.

Danica Quinn |

Thanks Jeff, and thanks again for taking on this group of orphaned players.

Kimberly Snow |

Kimberly is here

looks like OGGM has control....

Maps are posted at the top of the page under the spoiler "maps". Imagine that. There are two: one regional map, and a 'Weaver's Tower' map for the current encounter. The tower map has two views: top down and cutaway. Note there are shiny yellow grid coordinates to help ease positioning. The grid works in both views, but please make sure to specify which view if makes a difference. Right now the only ones needing the 'z' dimension are Tolvan (flying), and Anna (underground). The best way to use the grid is to RP your actions, then ooc your moves on the grid, etc.
When movement conflicts arise, I will always err on the side that benefits the players. You'll notice I don't post my rolls. That's for no other reason than it goes faster for me, not being much of a typist. Generally I will roll Initiative, just to speed the combat startup.
Let's crown some carrion!

Old Guy GM |

Still showing in my campaigns... can you take another look at what alias' have been removed? Sorry for the inconvenience.
I went through whats on the list and compared to your alias list...I didn't see anything. Maybe go through and see if you see one of yours? i unchecked Helaman and Gm Helaman.

First, great maps!
Second, I'll be traveling tomorrow to attend Mid South Con this weekend. I should be back late Sunday. While gone I will not have reliable internet access and will likely be very busy helping run PFS all weekend. I can likely post through tomorrow night but then will be away from computers for the weekend. So please bot me if you need to. After all this time I do not wish to be the reason the game is moving slow. :)

brvheart |

I have my other games to keep me busy anyway. Yell at me on Sunday if I forget.

Danica Quinn |

I'm back as well. I got into the bad habit of check the post every couple of days when we were inactive. Gotta form a new habit of checking daily.

Oathar The Vigilant |

Waiting on the GM to come back on Sunday to take the Ettercap's turn then I will head into the tower and attack the worm.

Anna Dunsany |

I probably should have waited for you to come up and flank, but hopefully you will hit hard and draw it off me. :)

Oathar The Vigilant |

Unfortunately I do not have Selective Channel but will do so anyway if you get down far enough. Would rather hit the thing right at present. Going to smite if it is evil.

Anna Dunsany |

That's fine. Hopefully my dinky little hit will show you are the much bigger threat. Then I can sneak attack the worm.

Kimberly Snow |

Kimberly has selective channel but she will have to get closer to use it.

Tolvan |

Tolvan can likely get Kimberly anywhere on the map in a turn, especially if that will save Anna.

Tolvan |

Sorry, I am in Breckenridge Colorado for a quick ski trip. I hope to have time to post some, but that did not happen this first travel day. Totally exhausted and have to get up early. I'll be home Sunday. I will try to post tomorrow though.

Tolvan |

I'll be back home Sunday evening and things should be back to normal after that. Having fun skiing but between some minor altitude sickness and physical exertion I have been exhausted beyond my previous experiences.

Old Guy GM |

So level-up time, I don't know how you've done it in the past, but I usually just ask you post in Discussion the changes/updates, as a quick reference. If you're wondering why, the 'schedule' has you at 7 at the beginning of the book, so there you are. I try to stay with the recommended advancement.
Also, you may note that I gave you the magic items without any necessary rolls. Generally, for speed's sake, I will do that. Unless there is some time requirement for determining what an items is. 90% of the time, though, you will know it right away.
Any questions/comments so far? All good? Make with the leveling then!

Tolvan |

Sweet. I like leveling. :) 7th level is a big level for a wizard even though BAB and saves do not increase. 4th level spells baby!
Tolvan surprises no one and takes a level of Wizard. He is happy with the half +1 hit point addition of 4, +1 for his con bonus.
His 7th level feat is (I need a drum roll here…. ) Augment Summoning.
He learns two more spells - The are Dimension Door and Black Tentacles
He gains 7 skill points and allocates them thus:
Appraise +1 to 10
Fly +3 to 10
Linguistics +1 to 12, also learning Terran
Perception +1 to 19
Spellcraft +1 to 15
I'll have his alias updated in a few.

Oathar The Vigilant |

Very nice Tolvar!
Not quite as much for a paladin, but do get a feat: vital strike
2nd level spell: weapon of awe
another d6 of channeling and another BAB.
Skills:
+1 to Diplomacy to +10
+2 to Knowledge (religion) to +10
I did half +1 also for HP for 6 plus 2 CON and 1 FC.

Anna Dunsany |

Anyone want to go in on a teamwork feat with me?
You are skilled at striking where it counts, as long as an ally distracts your foe.
Prerequisites: Dex 13, base attack bonus +1.
Benefit: Whenever you and an ally who also has this feat are flanking the same the creature, you deal an additional 1d6 points of precision damage with each successful melee attack. This bonus damage stacks with other sources of precision damage, such as sneak attack. This bonus damage is not multiplied on a critical hit.
