You've been double moved towards the target.

![]() |

Thank you.

GM Hmm |

I wanted to make sure you had the heads up! If I could I would transform her into something else... A giant centipede, or something. But this is PFS.
Hmm

![]() |

I am horribly arachnophobic so if you're using something 8legged as icon for Alizna, anything else would be appreciated. I'm afraid to go look, lol.

GM Hmm |

Wow.
Okay, I will switch out minis for all of you. Behold, the demon pig is back! You can all look at the map again now. The demon pig is standing in for Alizna.
Hmm

![]() |

thanks!

![]() |

See, Chak knew it!

![]() |

Sorry for delayed response, will be posting momentarily.
In the meantime, have a humorous out-take!
Andrietta, sacred space-bird-rine raised her chainsword while intoning mightily...
ALIZNA! For the HERESY of DEFILING SACRED BACON THE SENTENCE IS DEATH! BE PURGED IN GRANDMOTHER'S NAME!
*WHIRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR*
Working on post now that I'm home, had to get that out of my brain. Thank you for ebil piggy pic, apparently. Can't see the map we're on.
EDIT: SCROLLING DOWN HELPS *headdesk*

GM Hmm |

It's invisible MAP!
Muahahahahaha.
No, seriously, just scroll down. It's such a huge map.

GM Hmm |

Hey Gang --
Dragging here. Something I ate at restaurant likely contained hidden meat or lard or something, because less than hour later I went from high energy healthy to running to the bathroom every fifteen minutes as my stomach tried to hurl all my insides out at once. It's finally stopped, but I am a wreck. No sleep and I feel like a worn out dishrag.
This is what happens whenever I have surprise meat... My vegetarian body lets me know in no uncertain terms that it's not welcome. Bleah. I may be going back to bed at some point, so if I go suddenly unresponsive... You'll know why.
Hugs to all. From a nice, safe distance.
Hmm

![]() |

oh no! feel better soon!

GM Hmm |

I've recovered. Yay!
Now to move you guys forward again.

![]() |

I just had a horrible evil dirty thought and I don't think Andrietta would come up with it...
We could always bring Alizna as a sacrifice "SHE DONE TRIED T' KILL US!"
*coughs*

![]() |

I don't think there is enough left of her to sacrifice.
That plus Stali wouldn't agree to the plan. Just say no to evil beings requesting sacrifices!

GM Hmm |

Not to mention you'd be dragging a giant spider corpse with you...

GM Hmm |

I have been really enjoying creating the atmosphere of the maze. I hope you've enjoyed it too.
Hmm

GM Hmm |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Gro-o-oan.
I am thinking that I am going to have to submit that creepy ditty to PFS Prep.
Hmm

GM Hmm |

I think we're waiting on Gallako and Vralk. My guess is that Gallako will inspire courage and haul out the flag, but I have no idea. If they don't check in by tomorrow, can someone bot them?
Hmm

GM Hmm |

So... We're kind of close to the end. This is where I ask. Do you guys want to reunite the team with another module a few months down the road, and if so... Which one?
Hmm

![]() |

I'd love to!

![]() |

Hmmm.
Andrietta will be at 5 after this.
I'm not adverse to the idea, but she's going to be at the 'high end' of the party, I think?

![]() |

If we're done by Friday, I'll be playing Hikaru this coming weekend - I'll be at a con this weekend, and Hikaru will likely be at 5th by the end of the con...

![]() |

Sounds like many of us are interested. Stali will be 4th level when this adventure is done.
Here are the PFS sanctioned modules I can find that are listed as level 5-7.
Dawn of the Scarlet Sun, 5th level, Magnimar
Carrion Hill, 5th level, Ustalov (Stali is from there and thinks this is a bad idea)
City of Golden Death, 5th level, Island off Razmiran
Tears at Bitter Manor, 5th level, 64 page, Taldor (most likely too long)
From Shore to Sea, 6th level, Hellmouth Gulf off Cheliax
Broken Chains, 6th level, Katapesh
Realm of the Fellnight Queen, 7th level, Andoren
It may be worth mentioning that the newest replayable scenario From the Tome of Righteous Repose is for levels 3-7. Since it is replayable, there wouldn't be problems of figuring out who has already played which modules.

![]() |

Looking at that, this is my thinking...
Dawn of the Scarlet Sun (Because Magnimar is where we've been sort of operating out of)
followed by
From Shore to Sea
followed by
Realm of the Fellnight Queen
However, that's just spit-balling atm.

![]() |

Isn't Dawn of The Scarlet Sun only 1 xp and prestige? Also I am pretty sure I've done it or at least GM'd it a couple of times. Would have to check and see if I've played it.

![]() |

I don't know how many XP it gives, but Dawn of the Scarlet Sun was a Free RPG Day module.
I didn't go any deeper than the blurb page on each of these. I used the levels listed on that blurb page so I expect many of the chronicles to be plus or minus one from that value.

![]() |

I've played fellnight queen.

GM Hmm |

Don't forget the Harrowing, which is another Varisian module -- Level 7!

GM Hmm |

Tears of Bitter Manor has the advantage that likely no one here has played it, due to length. It has the disadvantage that I don't own it, and I promised my family no gaming purchases for a while.
Given how many modules I do own, I think we can find some that we like. Sarano, check and see if you've played Dawn of the Scarlet Sun. If you have..
I OWN every PFS scenario because I'm a VL. I bet we can find a Varisian 1-5 that some of you guys haven't played.
From there we can segue into another module.

![]() |

Chak will be level 5.2 after this, so it's possible that he might be level 6 before the next module.

GM Hmm |

How do you guys feel about City of Strangers, Parts I and II?

![]() |

fine with me

![]() |

Already played Part I it appears.

![]() |

How do you guys feel about City of Strangers, Parts I and II?
Alas, I have played it, and the runs were far more memorable than the abomination that was the convention run of Ravenmoor.
I would not feel comfortable replaying those two.
(We REALLY broke Part II by going off the rails in an almost 'Back to the Future III Hover-train' sort of style)
Andrietta has played:
Wounded Wisp
Prince of Augustana
Black Waters
School of Spirits
Murder's Mark
The Sanos Abduction
Ward Asunder
*Held* The Beggar's Pearl
On other characters I have played (in Varisia/Magnimar)
The Night March of Kalkamedes(sp?)
The Cyphermage Dilemma
Rise of the Goblin Guild
Severing Ties
I am not adverse to replaying for no credit to round out a table, if needed, but we have a kind of full crew here?

![]() |

Reserve one of the new Season 8 level 3-7?
Unfortunately Tyranny of the Winds is 1-5 for the first two parts and it sounds like some of the people will be level 6 soon after this.
We could target the next 3-7 that comes out. It looks like 8-13 is a 7-11 so that doesn't work.
You can see what I've already played or GMed on the PFS Session Tracker.

GM Hmm |

Too bad about City of Strangers! That would have been such a cool option for this group. Oh well.
Alright, it is time for the PFS Session Tracker.
I want you all to fill it out. Now.
Then I will look you up with your PFS numbers. I want to see what common ground spits out in 1-5 and 3-7.
Query: Have any of you done the Harrowing (level 7 module)?
If not, I would like to reserve that one in particular. I also want to know for sure if Sarano has done Dawn of the Scarlet Sun.
Hmm
EDIT; Stali, you NINJA.

![]() |

In addition, I've already lucked into a group that's run Tyranny and played all three.
Haven't played Tome yet, but I've heard it's murderous at the Low Tier

![]() |

Haven't played Tome yet, but I've heard it's murderous at the Low Tier
It can be murderous at all levels. Some of the creatures it uses have tricks that require special handling.
Our characters had to flee the dungeon, failing to find all the treasure, on our most recent play through. There was a creature that we couldn't kill fast enough.
Speaking of requiring special handling, since everyone is going to be leveling we should probably take a look at skills the group is missing. It was very evident this time that none of us have points in Knowledge: Dungeoneering. I suspect there may be other useful skills that we are lacking.
If we are going to play again as a group, it may be nice to fill in any major holes in our skills.

GM Hmm |

There were indeed four creatures that none of you could identify because of the Knowledge Dungeoneering thing. I stopped providing Dungeoneering spoilers since no one had that skill.
So... Is everyone normal tracking this adventure? That is my current assumption!
I am not against doing Tome, but I'd rather do something with more roleplay options if we can.
Hmm

![]() |

normal progression for Hikaru.

![]() |

Normal progression for Chak, 20gp on his day job check.

![]() |

Normal track, Day Job and other information required for filling out the scenario sheet.
I'll have to look and see if there is anything I can check for my faction card later. Unlikely, since Stali went with The Exchange.
