Tzardüsk |

Tzardüsk steps back from the bugbear and moves over to Kal, handing him a dagger so he can cut his way out of the net.

Victor Rattus Adustus |

oops I've just been kinda busy the past few days
Victor licks and stabs the goblin
dagger: 1d20 + 3 - 1 ⇒ (14) + 3 - 1 = 16
damage: 1d3 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (1) - 2 + 2 = 1

Pyre Igneel |

Sorry i missed wednesdays post. If the bugbear is still up i will swing at him otherwise at the skum
Pyre makes a mighty swing.
Attack: 1d20 + 7 - 1 ⇒ (16) + 7 - 1 = 22
Damage: 1d12 + 5 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 5 + 3 = 10
Oh the damage dice woes...

GM Pyros |

VIctor, it is still a standard action to lick disease your dagger. You can use a discovery to do it as a move action, as the swift poison discovery, but without that it is a standard action. The goblin will be sickened this round, do you want to attack, or disease your weapon?
Thoyoitu, I'll check how many rounds left if it gets close to that long before the combat ends.
Tzardusk, you can also try to cut the net open yourself. The net has 5hp and 0 hardness.
Kalagan, were you waiting on a map update? old map from last round
New CURRENT MAP. Kaligan is up, (I moved Tzardusk too)
the bugbear is stunned, but not blind and will get to act this round

Tzardüsk |

ok, instead of handing over the dagger, tzardusk will try to cut it himself.
dmg (I'm assuming it's an auto hit?): 1d4 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1
"Brother, you could probably do this faster than I can."

Kalagan Fiercefoe |

Kalagan struggles over and takes a mighty swing at the Bugbear.
Power Attack/Furious focus: 1d20 + 8 - 2 ⇒ (15) + 8 - 2 = 21
damage: 2d6 + 5 ⇒ (5, 5) + 5 = 15

Victor Rattus Adustus |

i'll just shank it. The plague vial is a disease effect though. not sure how swift poison would work like that

GM Pyros |

victor: It would be a discovery specifically modifying the plague vial. It just would work the same way
As Kalagan approaches, the bugbear attempts to evade, but the scintillating patterns that rattled its brain and it could not defend it self. The half orc's blade bites into the creature and it falls to the ground dead.
All its companions gone or dead, the Goblin drops its blade and attempts to utter a surrender, but sickened, it vomits instead.
Combat is over and you can do as you please with the goblin

Desula goes over to Kalagen and kicks the corpse of the bugbear, "Friends of your?"
Desula checks its corpse to see what these savages uses for equipment. Noticing himself and Kalagen bleeding on it. He looks over to Victor, but gets a crotchful of Pyre in his view. Pyre being all beat up, Des feels bad that he became a just a bigger target. Still he made for a great bodyguard..
"Good Doctor, could you see to our wounds?", he calls out.

Tzardüsk |

Tzardusk touches des and Kal each with his healing touch.
clw des: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
clw kal: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
"anyone else need some patching up?"

GM Pyros |

Healing works such that you sure 1 wound per die house-ruling that bonus healing is added as vigor or you can just heal Vitality. Are you going with Vitality with these heals and leaving the wound point damage?
I'll try to look through the combat and verify HP tomorrow or monday.
Looking around the party sees Kalagan and Tzardusk's people, a smattering of orc and half-orc, mostly old, young, female, and a few human slaves. It appears that not all of the groups of raiders that were fighting in the woods failed as miserably as the one you took out.
Two women are wailing and there is an old orc that is yelling at another about having lost a boy. Several captives have been taken by the creatures and dragged off. All told there is:
some poor quality small goblin gear 4 longswords and leathers
a Trident and Net (damaged), a set of Leather armor, a Heavy-Flail, and a Composite Short-bow (+4str)
Also, it appears that the Skum had fashioned a headdress of feathers and two of the goblins had a feather hanging from one ear.
There is no gold to be had or coin, but there are shiney bobbles and such that the Half-orc say have value to the locals, including four highly prized shells on the Bugbear.
The Crewmen seem to have done alright, not loosing any of their members, and the Slaver seems to be ripping a teeth from some of the fallen monsters.

Tzardüsk |

I'm really unclear on this thing between what's wounds, what's vitality and what's vigor - but I'll apply the healing to whatever is needed most...I'll let you be the arbiter of that...

GM Pyros |

Sorry, sometimes i misuse Vitality and Vigor. Whichever i say, it's teh same thing. You have Wounds that are based on your Con, and when you loose half, you risk falling unconcious like you were at 0HP, and you die at 0 wounds. Wounds heal at 1 point per day or with 1 die worth of healing CLW heals 1 wound because it's 1d8, a positive channel of a 5th level cleric is 3d6 so it heals 3 wounds.
-
Vitality (sometimes i say Vigor cause it starts with V but it's only one thing) is based on your Hit dice, it heals like normal, and you get it all back at the end of a night's rest. Vitality represents dodging blades, non-lethal damage, minor cuts and scrapes, etc.
Say someone attacks you with a huge Maul, it "hits" and you take a severe blow on your shield and it weakens your shield arm, but after a good night's rest you are fine in the morning.

Tzardüsk |

so if I choose to heal wounds, my healing hex heals 1 wound and 2 vitality (for the +2)? is that how it works?... if so, that's what I'll do... and does that mean i did the damage I took wrong - I applied it all to wounds but should it have been applied to vitality instead?

Victor Rattus Adustus |

Victor grabs the goblin leathers and puts them on
"small armour for smallfolk ratfolk"
Victor also yoinks the feather hat off the dead Scum and the one feather off the goblin.
He dances round to desula
"hey des, you mind helping me check whether these are anything special?"
He gestures to the feathered hat and feather.
have the rest of crewmembers of the ship followed us?

![]() |

"Thank you, Tzar. Let me take a look at those, we may have to wait till tomorrow for me to study their auras, but I'll see what I can find out", Des says as he begins to examine the feathery apparel.
Hah, hipster goblins.
Kn:Arcana: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15
Yeah, that roll seems low.
Des gathers up whatever baubles looks interesting and may have value to the locals. "Kalagen, do you barter here or do you have a monetary institution here," having an idea already.
"And someone kill that thing before it spreads anything around here." indicating the goblin.

Tzardüsk |

after healing folks, Tzardüsk casts detect magic on the items found.

Victor Rattus Adustus |

Victor goes off what des finds and tries his own little investigation
knowledge arcana: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21

Kalagan Fiercefoe |

Kalagan walks among his followers, laying hands on those who are injured and speaking words of encouragement or consolation. "The day will come when we will not need fear this senseless killing. Rraurvir leads us out of this bestial existence into civilization. Mourn those we lose, but hold fast to your hope. It will be rewarded."

![]() |

Well that's odd, Des thinks as the slaver pulls teeth out of the monsters head. "Are you guys all that's left of the Wyr’enshaad?
Can we get a head count of the survivor from the ship and the half orc camp? More specifically what named people are around? If I remember correctly we had Marie and Cody Tate and Squeak with us from earlier.

Pyre Igneel |

"If you are offering healing i could use some mister Tzardüsk. I took a couple big hits. Pyre says looking through the bugbears things.
What did the bugbear have on him?

Tzardüsk |

Tzardüsk heals Pyre for 1 wound and 2 vigor with but a touch.

Tzardüsk |

right - sorry no actual healing spells, just the hex... if you'd rather have it all to vigor I could do that as well... but vigor heals easier pyros said, so up to you.. if you'd rather have vigor, I assume you'd say so before I heal you in which case, regain vigor in the amount of:
healing hex to pyre's vigor: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9

GM Pyros |

Thoyoitu, you freeze as you take the Headdress as some of the feathers are of uncannily similar size and type to your own feathers. Tengu feathers.
The Half-Orc group had 19 total indivituals, but there are 7 missing, 3 humans and 4 Half-orc. Of those left, one has died, 4 are severely inured, and many of the rest have more minor wounds. These people are not warriors, but they are orc, so they held their own relatively well against such superior numbers.
From the Crew of the Wyren'shaad, the party found the Orc called Cody, the humans Maria and the Freed slave, and Squeek
Ros, Hezala, Kumunde, and Bessie are all at your camp.
Sorry, typo, not slaver, but slave. The Pitch-Southerner slave is the one pulling teeth.

![]() |

"Tzardusk, it looks like your people will need tending to as well", Des says to Tzar before going back to the sailors.
"Would any of you happen to know where we are? And are you armed, we have some equipment if you are willing to help us get off, what I lovingly call, bullshit island." Des hoping to build a better report with the sailor now that they are all collectively stranded in the middle of nowhere.

Tzardüsk |

Tzardüsk moves among the wounded and starts touching each one gently on an arm or shoulder... wherever they aren't going to hurt more at the touch... and healing them, passing out words of encouragement and calm with each heal.

Thoyoitu "The Tenguin" Choco-ku |

Thoyoitu kneels down beside the Skum and draws his weapon. With all his might, he stabs it repeatedly in the heart, neck, face, ect. Basically just stabbing it in anger while crying angrily. He then takes the headdress and moves to the other Skum, repeating the process.
Once done with the skum, Thoyoitu moves to Des and Victor and motions to the headdress clearly indicating to hand them over to him, "I believe those are my... my peoples' feathers."

TIckle & Squeak |

Just to note, one of the skum you were fighting did get away, but there are several deal ones that others killed. Occasionally there is a creature with Feathers, although not all are tengu
Maria and "Cody" seem to have gravitated to the Half-orc standing around and dealing with the bodies of the dead raiders and thier own injured. They get some odd looks, but some seem to be laughing and they are getting on well. Maria happens to speak flawless Orc.
The Slave is silent but seems to be hanging mostly around Squeak. I couldn't tell ya where we ended up. Somewheres nearin the Storm Seas. The Halforc ya met may know a little more, but isleanders rarely got much geography beyond they island and maybe them want are nearby. Squeak says with a shrug. By the way, you found any others of us from Tavian's Worm?

![]() |

"A couple of survivors, that we left at our camp. Most of them are injured, but the flying woman is tending to them. What do you think of our a little orc community here? Do you think it's safe to stay here?, Des says to Squeak hoping to get as much assessment as he can out of the little ratfolk.

![]() |

"The pilot and the cleric, decent folk and not overly beholden to Tavian. The Slaver as well, though I feel your friend here has a quarrel with him." Des tells Squeak.
"Do you know much about your companion?",

Victor Rattus Adustus |

Victor looks at the hat.
" at least we know they're here then"
He sounds hopeful, and determined to find the rest of the tengu
how far away are we from the shore? I think we should bring the rest of the crew with us before moving on.

Kalagan Fiercefoe |

"Brother, we need to collect the rest of our people. These scum have taken them. Will the rest of you hwelp us? Or do we stand alone?"

Tzardüsk |

the scum took some of our people? - I thought they killed some and wounded others, didn't realize they took some too... that does change things if that's the case, doesn't it?

GM Pyros |

The Half-Orc group had 19 total indivituals, but there are 7 missing, 3 humans and 4 Half-orc. Of those left, one has died, 4 are severely inured, and many of the rest have more minor wounds.
They only took humans and half-humans so they shouldn't be killed. You know what Skum do with breeders...
You can collect the folks at the beach and bring them here, but by the time you return it will be getting dark and you will then have to head out in the morning. Alternatively, you could head out immediately into the swamps and try to hunt down the raiders, but the bogs do make tracking incredibly difficult for any but the most skilled trackers, if not impossible, and you are unlikey to find any raider's camp before the long twilight starts.

Tzardüsk |

"So we need to find our missing... and it seems these folk have missing of their own... perhaps we need to combine our efforts.. maybe their missing folk were taken by the same ones who took ours."
