Victor looks overjoyed at his new workspace
" quarantine or not, these facilities certainly look very luxurious. I thank you."
Victor places his bags in his room just as the dinner bell rings. Turning to the lady he asks
"I'm afraid I haven't gotten your name miss. You're the ship's doctor right? My name is victor, pleased to meet you!"
victor continues his conversation with the lady to the dining hall, after which he spends the night action to clean up his living quarters

Tenguin
The captain looks up curious. He's had an interesting dinner and is curious about what you could want. He chuckles at the gift barely interested in paying it any attention, condescension in his eyes, but that quickly fades... these shells, some are Taahman's Eye! seeing you at a loss, he gingerly gets a box to put them, explaining, He's a Storm-god, but he can mesmerize seabeasts. Powerful charm these are. Thanke mate! he says, rising and shaking the Tengu's hand.
I took your rolls as all aiding each other and giving small bonuses till Tenguin pushed the attitude adjustment.
Thoyoitu "The Tenguin" Choco-ku
Thoyoitu shakes his hand. "While I'm here, is there anything in particular I can do for you in the morning? Do you need dishes washed, the floor swept, your sheets cleaned, table wiped, or anything else? It's always a pleasure to work for a man as polite as you are."
GM Pyros
Had a busy weekend, and recovering form having folks in town this past week
The crew is really fairly minimal at this point. While most of you are passengers, Thoyoitu's Tengu account for a majority of the actual sailors and are quick learners. The Bosun, a tall human covered in tattoos, hasnt' really been at liberty to speak to anyone as he's spend all day shouting orders across the deck. He takes his dinner and returns to his cabin to turn in early.
An Enormous Humanoid mills about the Galley serving a Stew. It is aromatic and hearty with a subtle citrus flavor, and the bread is still fresh from port. This fare would actually be somewhat hard to come by even in a civilized city but it appears to the how they eat on this ship.
A couple other passengers group and eat, talking about the food and details of their trips or business
The Mate is a tall drow who tries to hide in the shade of the sails, but whenever the captain isn't on deck he is seen sullenly standing on the sterncastle with the Pilot. She is a sharp looking human woman of average height that keeps herself well garbed against the sun and wind. In the evening she comes down and chats with a couple other humans. They seem a little leery of the party, a mix of strange races, as well as giving the few drow that pass through the Galley some space. They seem like a close crew and they all have similar tattoo work done.
It is not until late in the evening when folks are readying themselves for the night that another group emerges form below deck. Silent and stealthy, you count a handful, of them but theyre may be more slinking in the shadows. Two of the Sales rise, almost on their own, leaving only the Mainsail. The bosun has a word with one of the Drow and then heads to a cabin door on the fore-deck.
GM Pyros
The ship itself is a Large Carrak. The Captain has large quarters under the Sterncastle, although there were a couple points when officers entered the cabin with him, or on their own. There is a respectable office space and sitting/eating room but the bed must be behind a walled off area.
The front of the ship also holds space for two cabins and storage, one of which is the Bosun's. Below the Bosun's quarters are small cabins for passengers and on the other side of the stairway down is the Crew's sleeping space. Futher stern is the Galley and at the end is the kitchen with a dumbwaiter to the Captain's quarters. Below the kitchen on the bottom deck are animals and storage. At the front of the ship is a sick-bay and the bilge-pump for clearing out water.
Victor
That night Victor, as you are looking about for supplies, you hear a thumping noise coming from the other side of the Pump-room. Thump-thump-thump.
At this point it is very dark out and the Drow are on deck, a skeleton crew keeping the ship going in the darkness, clouds blocking out much of the star-light.
Lela Korvosa
Goandai
Not having much luck with talking to folks, you return to the stables below decks. Lela is jsut getting the beasts settled for the evening, making sure their area is clean and that they have some food, scraps from the evening's dinner. I'm just putting the little ones to bed, she says, not really diverting her attention from the animals. "Go brush the horses wou- um make sure the horses and cattle have their feed... I'll do the brushing" she says glancing at you briefly. She pauses and asks, Yea got a cabin? No way Nekare's sleepin upstairs. Yea can either leave here or hang a hammock. she says, before climbing into hers. You may note that she sleeps with a knife in her hand.
You also hear sounds coming from the back of the storage as you start to drift off.
Pyre Igneel
As the lanterns fade Pyre walks below to his quarters wondering wwho the dark shapes on the ship were.

Best chance for mischief is at night, so Dez goes to the dining hall to see what kind of gambling is going about. Feeling frisky, he looks for a knuckle bone game to roll into.

Victor, annoyed at the amount of noise the pump room is producing, walks over and knocks on the door
"hello? is anyone in there?"
He leans on the door, trying to open it
GM Pyros
Looking through the post about the ship. I forgot to mention that there is another set of rooms on top, just above the captain's quarters. a small fourth level on the ship. So there is the main deck. At the front-end is the Bosun's room, through a door, some cabins and storage. You can climb above these rooms to the forecastle where there is a catapult. The back of the main deck had the door to the captain's quarters and officer's space. There are stairs to the top of that level and two more doors with a ladder between to the roof where there are two ballista.
-
Below the main deck front to back is cabins, some of you may be sleeping there, Crew quarters which is makeshift hammocks and cannons, the Galley, the kitchen (under the captain's quarters)
-
Front of the bottom deck is the sick-bay and then the Bilge Pump. Stern has storage and animals.
Victor
There's no door there, just a solid wall If there's something back there, then the entrance is somewhere else. Do you explore further, or save that for tomorrow?
Desula
The crew of humans with the pilot is tossing some bones in a complicated and conveluted game. You quickly figure out the rules and ask to join in. The crew glances at one man in particular and he says, "Sure Mate, have a seat" with a sneaky glint in his eye. You sit down with the four humans and start rolling
Go ahead and roll me 2 sets of 3d4
4d4 ⇒ (2, 1, 4, 2) = 94d4 ⇒ (3, 2, 4, 4) = 13
3d4 ⇒ (1, 1, 2) = 43d4 ⇒ (2, 4, 1) = 7
Des, Victor and Goandi, Please let me know if you have anything else you want to do wit your evening and put that into a spoiler. Otherwise we're moving along and starting the next day.
I've got Des, Rosalyn, Thoyoitu, and Pyre in cabins. Victor is in the sick-bay and is settign up a lab, and Goandi, you have an option atm
In the morning you all awaken to the sound of busy sailors and the smell of spices wafting through the air from the kitchen. Most of the crew seems to be up and about already working, and as you head to the galley, you see a pot of what has to be a southerner style curry, hot and spicy with chunks of vegetable and meat in the thick yellow-orange slop.
There are a few passengers milling about still but most of the crew, including the Tengu, are all above deck.
Go Ahead and give me ship actions for today! I've put some infor up on the campaign page, so check it out!
Tamerand Elsterson
There is a foppish man sitting at one of the tables, eating his curry with another two humans taking particular note of the Tengu as well as Pyre. He will stroll over to you and enquire, Good day to you. Please allow me to introduce myself, I am the Lord Tamerand Elsterson of Elisia. I do beg of your indulgence, but might I inquire as to the nature of the business venture that brings a Nagaji and a Tengu to the northern continent together? I have interests held in the south and have heard very little from my associates in your territories that might indicate that potential, or i would have certainly taken an interest. He is a business man, clearly, though young to be a proper lord. the source of his interest may be masked by the apparent curiosity, but he's not at all hostile. he seems to aim for an air of affability.
Pyre, you have heard of Elisia, a country to the south of your mountain homeland. You only know of the crest and that merchants with it tend to have rather exotic wares with prices commensurate with their rarity.
Goandai Uepher
I'm afraid Goandai is not so socially inclined, neither in personality nor mechanically, and, being unlikely to seek out company and having little interest in the general goings on at this specific moment, will probably just turn in. There's a good chance he'll be spending much of his time in the animal hold
GM Pyros
I'm afraid Goandai is not so socially inclined
There are also tasks you can do on the ship during the day,
In addition to working, you can explore, the ship by picking a deck or room and rolling perception, without doing any social. Any action you choose to take will have an impact. (I'd recommend not having Nekare catch rate while you are doing lookout tho, but doing a different task on deck would work.) And that goes for everybody, whatever addition you take, since you can pick could have a positive impact, and potentially affect your social rolls too.
Thoyoitu "The Tenguin" Choco-ku
"The lands were quite poor, in all honesty. Or maybe that's just the way it looks from the bottom of society? There's also quite the hostile Hobgoblin infestation. If you're well armed enough, I'm sure you could do alright there. But in terms of naturally resources, I am unsure what there is. Tengu are no the kind to plummet down mine shafts."
Lady Rosalyn Aanya Luminuss
Lady Rosalyn gets up all refreshed and feed, she dream feast was wonderful, she had her ablutions, washed, she always looked clean, but she liked to feel the water on her face to refreshed herself and wipe away the sleep. Then dressed for the day, She had broken she spear down into its parts and stowed it in her side bag, she checked her flight belts and Armour and knife. While putting her hair right she could smell something spicy cooking.
"Well"
She said to herself.
"Another day and another chance to learn"
She then headed out to where she know everyone would be going, the Gally. Once there she spotted Thoyoitu sitting with a young gent, she picked up a mug of hot sweet tea and headed over. coming over she could hear Thoyoitu just finishing something he was saying.
"... are no the kind to plummet down mine shafts"
She smiled at him and the young gent as she took a seat with them.
"I am sorry, please don't let me interrupt your conversation."
She bends over and brings out her small note book and sliver point pen. Takes a sip of the tea and makes a note, before looking back at them.

Goandi Ret-con for at night
When you explore as a night action, you can take 20, so you hear the thumping in the bilges as well, at the back of the animal hold, but can't find an entrance anywhere. Lela seems twitch as you move, and calling out would wake her. The thudding noise is odd but eventyally subsides into complete silence. You can explore more during the day if you wish
That morning,
Ah, yes. There is a significant presence of Hobs in those jungles. We've had some skirmishes to be sure, protecting our shipments and such. There are many valuable plant specimines to be found in various places in your jungles. as well as rivers to bring spices up from the desert. But once we fended off the hobbs, showed them it wasn't profitable for them to attack our interests the raids became more infrequent. But if you are not venturing north for trade, what is your crew up to? he asks, keenly interested in your answer.
Ah, m'lady. he says, standing, not having noticed you till you spoke. I am most pleased to make your aquaintance. I am Lor Tamerand Elsterson of Elisia, and you could never be interrupting. Are you a friend of this fine fellow? he asks as you withdraw your notebook. He raises an eyebrow and hesitates a moment. We were just discussing . . . Beg your pardon, i do not believe i cought your name my feathered friend . . . ahem his business while traveling
Thoyoitu "The Tenguin" Choco-ku
"Thoyoitu 'The Tenguin' Choco-ku. I am...here with family. The Hobgoblins were not as generous to us as they were to you, I'm afraid." He suddenly looks very somber, then attempts to change the subject. "Uh, yes, we know each other. Only recently met, actually. At the last port. But I'm afraid that as soon as I finish eating, I just get to work."

After burning an hour or so on some gaming, Des grabs a bottle and goes to the deck late at night to watch the night crew at work. Ambling about, watching the stars, but otherwise just who or what of interests comes out at night.
Coming too around the early afternoon, Dez does his daily rituals of shadow meditations and spell recital. He cleans up himself nice with a cast of prestidigitator and goes about his day. Hitting the galley for an incredible lunch, then heading to the deck to see what the fresh air has brought in.
Spying Thoyoitu and Rosalyn with a someone he didn't know, he goes over.
Well Met, my friends. How are you?, Faces Tomerand. Good day, Lord Tamerand was it? My name is Desula. What brings you on this lovely voyage?
Des keeps careful attention as he tries to gauge this fellow/

Victor sighs at the wall and goes back to the lab, trying hard to not letting the noise from the pump room get to him.
The next day, victor seek his friend from yesterday, Hezala.upon meeting her he asks
"good morning dear lady, I was wondering if I could ask another favour of you." victor sheepishly asks.
"would you mind showing me to the direction of the pump room?"

She gives him a slight node but looking at him says.
"Nice to meet you Lor Tamerand Elsterson of Elisia I'm Lady Rosalyn Aanya Luminuss, from a lesser noble family I'm sorry to say, from the city of Healeoss, as you may know it the City of Hospitals as most call it. You can tell what the family business may be. O and good morning Victor I hope the new day finds you well, and Thoyoitu your always interesting."
She says with a freindly Smile
Victor Rattus Adustus
Victor pauses, he already has access to the pump room and skitters away, slightly embarrassed. He bumps into rosalyn on his way back
"hello dear lady! My morning has certainly been good.I hope the ship's crew have been treating you well.they certainly have been treating me well.I managed to get a full lab to myself!" he blabbers on, but quickly realises he's talking too much and shuts up
"anyways, I'm off to investigate a strange noise so have a nice day!" Victor skitters away, leaving a small cloud of dust in his wake
He returns to the pump room and picks at the wall. Trying to remove boards and such.He tries to look for particularly loose boards he can pry apart without difficulty
victor will spend his morning action doing this, taking the utmost care at the task (taking 20 on perception, total bonus 27)
Thoyoitu "The Tenguin" Choco-ku
After finishing his meal, he bids everyone at the table a good bye, for he must get to work. But instead of work, he heads to the very bottom level of the ship and begins searching. For valuable possessions that have been misplaced, loose floor boards where someone might have a stash. Not saying he'll steal or anything, but he wants to know what's there. If he doesn't find anything, he moves to the next level, and so on.
Pyre Igneel
Pyre will spend the meal studying this man of Elisia. While he says nothing to the man at that time intrest can be seen in his eyes along with a hint of suspicion. He watches how this man interacts with the others of his party and takes not of what he says.
Hmmm, i remember hearing of this man before from my relatives in the south. But cant remember if it was good or ill.

Ah, well Desula I'm involved in several trade ventures and took a personal interest in those goings on in the south. Tamerand explains. In fact some of the exotic herbs we have been exporting from the jungles are made into fantastical poultices in Helioss. We turn them for quite a profit. Tamerand further discusses things about trade-routs and business opportunities. He leans in conspiratorially The real money's to b made in dangerous places. If a product is useful enough, the violence and danger drive rarity and turn a decent trade into a real gold-mine! There is a glint in his eye as he says this. It's what he lives for, the danger, intrigue and risk, just as much as the money.
He does note the swift apearance of the rat, with a moment of befuddlement. alright then
Hezala Tufani
Victor
The pump room has thick lacquer and sealant on the walls going down to the floor, to rot and damage from the water that floods it, and it appears that there is a series of small pipes that will pull water from other areas in the ship, so there is little one can do to get through the walls.
You are so focused that you don't notice Hezala watching you work until she asks, And what is the inquisitive little rat investigating in the bilges while nobody's watching? She hops into the water and sloshes over to you, I know he's not working the pump with those little arms, but what did he want eh? What is he so embarassed about? She leans down and looks at you, still not sure what to make of you entirely and looking to form an opinion.
You could have ret-conned yout question but as it stands I like this scene. You can certainly try to leverage your previous diplomacy roll to influence Hezala, and depending on what you say the roll will be modified by the conversation.
Lela Korvosa
Goandi
Certainly, Hob Lela says as she pulls a slab of meat out ofone barrel of curing salts and moves it to another, preparing it to last for the long trip. That damn pump tends to stick and scare some of the more...sensative horses down here whenever it starts sticking. But the Drow crew the ship at night and they don't work the pump. It's beneath them. But yeah, there's something that could make some nasty thudding. I try to ignore it. . . which is a wise decision She finds whatever it is unsavory and uncomfortable, so at the moment at least, she doesn't seem particularly interested in talking about it at the moment, rather distracted by trying to hold the huge slabs and not drop them. *grumble*-ing ogre *grumble* hauling chunks *grumble* normal person... as she works.
Just a reminder that diplomacy isn't the only way to influence people, so there's ways to make headway without being a sorcerer

At the moment the actions of Goandi and Victor may determine wether or not the Bilge deck is occupied throughout. But you can try to skulk around the middle-deck, perhaps under some pretense or by being sneaky and avoiding notice. The middle decks have the Kitchen, Galley, Crew Quarters, and Passenger Cabins. Just roll me a Bluff or Stealth check (each will have different DC's based on where you look and which you roll) and tell me where you are searching
Lady Rosalyn Aanya Luminuss
Rosalyn stays and lissons to the young trader talking, asking a few questions here and there.
"So you know where a good amount of coin can be made by going places others would find risky. Humm you know I have a talent for finding those who like taking risks. Most of personal gain in one form or another. Now what say you and I see if we can't find a location and items that would be profitable to us both. After all I do not wish to stay a miner noble all my life."
She smiles at him conspiracly., placing a hand on his arm.

The label of asset comes straight to mind as Desula hears of Tamerand's love of coin and adventure. He listens to Rosalyn's proposal, and thinks we can take this further.
"How far have south have you traveled Tamerand? The southern jungles surely have a plethora strange spices and herbs, but have you gone further into the darkside of our world to the Darklands. We have a flora ecology all our own, as well as a cultural diversity that separates us from our Underdark brethren. Its a treacherous venture getting there, but I know of several Noble Houses and trade groups that would love to expand. Though be wary of intrigue among the groups, everybody is playing each other."
Tamerand Elsterson
Lady Roz and Des
Ah. Well, if you know the area well, there wouldn't be much for me to do for you. But I am aware of a few. . . rather dangerous locals. Perhaps we aught keep in touch when we hit main-land, Tamerand says to Ros. Now, Travel to the darklands is rather costly, my friend. This ship was not inexpensive to charter and will take a large cut of my profits on this current venture. But I am intrigued and should you prove to be a sound investment, such travel could be financed.
Lady Rosalyn Aanya Luminuss
Rosalyn keep silent as Desula talks about the worlds of Darkness he is use to. They had all heard the tails of Noble Drow houses and the politics that they liked to play dearly each other.
"You know Desula you really are full of surprises. But let me intrigue you some more Master trader Lor Tamerand, I have sent years seeking a means to make a flying craft. One that can sail high above the lands below, taking passenger and goods to any where one can land. One day I aim to build it. Just think on that, a trading feel that could travel to any land and may any city or town a port. Yes I know what your thinking, a bards tail, but I think it can be done at a price that is not a kings pocket."
She takes anther sip of her tea.
