Pyre Igneel |

Pyre walks to the last Grindylow swinging his ax.
Power attack: 1d20 + 4 - 1 ⇒ (18) + 4 - 1 = 21
Damage: 1d12 + 4 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 4 + 3 = 9
What all is still there?

GM Pyros |

there is one Grindylow standing, one is bleeding out, the other two plus the octopus are unconscious for a few more rounds.
.
victor, nekare you are up, thoyoitu, you drag desula away. If you coup de grace next round, you can deal 3d4+1d6 and 3 wounds for using an x3 weapon, and the foe being unconscious
Pyre, the Grindylow catches the haft of your Axe with his spear absorbing most of the blow, but the force of the swing pushes the as head into the creatures shoulder.
You cleared its vigor and dealt wounds to the creature.

GM Pyros |

Wow, that dice-roller be hatin' Nekare...
Grindylow 1 Takes an AoO at the prone Victor shooting at him.
AoO: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 3 + 2 = 8
for 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
He then trips Pyre, who's been viciously attacking
Trip: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
Pyre is prone
He than stabs at Goandi, who has jsut approached
Spear: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23 threat
for 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
DC 20 defense check or add 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 5) + 6 = 16+3
That's 19 total damage after DR, and your bonus to the check will be +7=DR+dex+shield
And attempts to bite Victor
Bite: 1d20 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 1 + 2 = 9 miss
for 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
He tehn takes a 5' around Victor, away from Goandi, Nekare, and the prone Pyre.
Victor and Pyres attacks going through, Victor rolling out of the way of the spear thrust at him. The Grindylow then attempts to punish Goandi for approaching him. and steps out of Pyre's range, keeping the prone Victor locked down, ready to attack him.
Everyone is up again, and that's going to be round 2 of unconciousness OVER!

Lady Rosalyn Aanya_Luminuss |

Init 15 Wounds 15/24
Lands 30' away from combat, moving back 10', with out a map its hard to know who she can channel heal with out doing it to the bad guys, sorry GM but its true. She will try and get to a place where she heals the party only. I have no idea if she can add a Channel her actions of landing and switching weapons
Rosalyn drops her Spring-Bow on its cord and calls out.
"Come to me and I will heal you"
Then she pull's up her land Spear reading to fight.
Positive channel 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8healing

GM Pyros |

Rosalyn
It's a move action to draw your spear, so you can land and draw your spear and you need BAB +1 to draw a weapon as part of a move. Or you can land and channel. Also, that was a roll for a cure light wounds spell. Channel is 1d6, and with the wounds system, you can either roll to heal vigor, or heal 1 wound per die you roll, your call.
You could move into the combat-zone to hit your friends, although you would have to hit all the unconscious ones too, if you want to heal Desula and thoyoitu. They are on the other side of the melee

Pyre Igneel |

Pyre stands growls at the grindylow, steping next to it. "Fight me coward!"
Move to stand then move to get next to it.

Victor Rattus Adustus |

Victor grumbles as he loads another bolt into the crossbow.
"why won't you die you nasty beast!"
crossbow: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
dmg: 1d6 ⇒ 1

GM Pyros |

Goandi turns as the spear thrusts striaght into the soft uderbely of his armor and she sharp piece of coral slides off to the side, scraping dangerously along the lamelar plates. Made the defense check and the attack does not damage due to DR
As victor loads and raises his Crossbow the Grindylow stabs him again
AoO: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 3 + 2 = 18
for 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9 7 damage after DR
The bolt on the other hand leaps out of the bow and slides across the creature's slippery thick hide.
Pyre, alternatively, you could try to crawl up to it and attack from prone. it's a -4 to hit

GM Pyros |

sorry
Nekare` circles round and attempts to flank the standing foe[dice=bite]1d20+1+2
[dice=dam]1d6+1
[dice=trip]1d20+1+2
The light dancing in Nekare`s eyes seems to say "Huzzah, mofo!'
Why is nekare's attack bonus so low? She is unarmored, and has no power attack or anything... Shouldn't she be at+2 to attack?

Nekare` |

Why is nekare's attack bonus so low? She is unarmored, and has no power attack or anything... Shouldn't she be at+2 to attack?
(facepalm!) um, yeah... I've been ignoring her BAB of +1 for I have no idea what reason. So yes, she should be at +2 to attack, this has been fixed

Thoyoitu "The Tenguin" Choco-ku |

Thoyoitu stays by the Elf, attempting to heal him: Heal (Untrained): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20 "Hang in there, buddy. I'm trying to fix you up as best I can. I'm not even a medic. This is all just coming to me now."

GM Pyros |

Thoyoitu stays by the Elf, attempting to heal him: [dice=Heal (Untrained)]1d20+3 "Hang in there, buddy. I'm trying to fix you up as best I can. I'm not even a medic. This is all just coming to me now."
You are at a -4 to cure critical wounds with a heal check if you don't use a healer's kit. Desula isn't bleeding out, (need to check the rules for stabalizing in the wounds system later)
Nekare, that +1 hasn't mattered till now, and without it Wut wouldn't have tripped the Grindylow. As such, it's down!

Pyre Igneel |

AoO Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Damage: 1d12 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
With the -4 for it being prone does that hit? It will decide my turn if so.

Pyre Igneel |

Pyre steps next to the Grindylow taking another swing.
Power Attack: 1d20 + 4 - 1 ⇒ (18) + 4 - 1 = 21
Damage: 1d12 + 4 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 4 + 3 = 17

GM Pyros |

Well, considering there are three unconscious foes that will be stunned another few rounds, I'll just call the combat here and narrate the end.
Rosalyn is able to land and approaches one of the unconscious Grindylow. SHe takes her spear in both hands and drives it through the creatures chest, piercing the heart and pinning the abomination to the deck. CdG
Pyre raises his axe high above his head and slams a vicious overhead chop, cleaving the octopus that had helf fast to voctor nearly in two. Someone will have to repair the deck where his blade fell.CdG
Goandi and Nekare move over to the Grindylow that had been harassing them as it awakens. The pitiful creature is blind and unable to control its movements as it lies on the floor, writhing and screaming out in unintelligable gibberish. This kill is not clean, like the others, as the wolf mauls the creature tearing into it. It wails in agony until Goandi, looking down at the wretched aberration, slices its throat with his scimitar, and it falls silent. It woke up and you slaughtered it
As you look around you see that the fighting as mostly stopped. The captain whipes down his rapier and orders the sailors to shove the creatures overboard, after looting their corpses, of course. He calls for a casualty report. Two humans and a Drow are dead, and three Tengu are severely injured. and he glances over, cringing as Nekare tears the one Grindylow to pieces.

Hezala Tufani |

Hezala looks over and sees the condition of the group as well. Victor, you almost lost your Drow, she says, looking over the group. And you're looking pretty worse for wear yourself. SHe takes a deep breath and you feel waves of energy wash over you, and then they seem to build upon themselves, like a tide coming in, stitching your wounds together.
Channel positive enerty twice to heal wounds. Heal 2 wounds, gain NO vigor. Desula, you wake up

Goandai Uepher |

that sounds about right
Goandai assists with the disposing of the bodies. He regrets the destruction of the octopus, but nonetheless suggests that perhaps butchy can make use of it in the kitchen.
As the deck is finished being tidied he asks a passing crewman (or officer or whoever conveniently presents themselves)
is this a common occurrence in this part of the ocean?

Lady Rosalyn Aanya_Luminuss |

Lady Rosalyn calls the hurt to her.
"Come to me I will heal you"
She waits wile the pile the wounded on the floor next to her then she
Channels positive Energy x3 3d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 1) = 4 HP back. well if your going to get sucky rolls best it one that dos not affect you to much
wounds close a little bit, bleeding stops in some and the hurt get healed a very small bit.
"Humm something is blocking my healing how odd?"
she makes a note in her little book.

Pyre Igneel |

"What were these beasts doing here? And why attack us at all?" Pyre asks the group while wiping off his ax.

Victor Rattus Adustus |

Victor flushes in embarrassment.
"my thanks Hezala."
He falls silent for a moment, aware of the deaths of the crewmen
"yes that was a close call indeed.we're lucky to have him around.I was terrible that fight.if only I had been more careful I could have done more....."
Victor trails off for a while, then snaps back from his trance like state
"so is this a common occurance? Like the hobgoblin mentioned earlier, I'm rather curious. "

GM Pyros |

Thoyoitu and Rosalyn head below decks where there is a manstanding over one of the Tengu. He fires a shot from his pistol and jams the heated barrel into a spurting wound. The smell of burning flesh pervades the air but the bleeding stops. He looks over the Tengu, and nods. Ay, you must be the boss-man. Yer men were good in the fight worked together well, he says, standing up. This fella took a spear to the gut, but I got it cauterized, so he'll live. Yer boys'll have ta take a lie-down an' I'll be checking on em ta get em back on their feet right quick eh mate?
Can everyone set the format of their wounds and vigor points in their Headers as such:
Vigor x/t, Wounds x/t, Wound Threshold you can abreviate as you want, but that order makes it a lot easier to track.
-
For healing, you all regain all your vogor after a full night's rest, but you only get one wound point back every night, unless you take the day off
V: x/t | WP: x/t | Th [con] | Def: x | DR: x | Crit Def: x | CMD: x | Fort: +x | Ref: +x | Will: +x | Init: +x | Perc +x
you can add whatever else you want, like pire's bonuses v mind affects and poison, but it makes it easier if i have all that info on the post.

Hezala Tufani |

Well, these waters are rife with threats. Grindylow raiding parties attack on occasion, among other creatures, not to mention pirates and warring factions on the mainland. Not usually in this number, but it's just as likely to be a case of 'wrong-place-wrong-time' as anything else. We seem to have run into a large group while it was on the move, she notes with the shrug of a jaded sailor. Lucky we were on this ship in particular, with the captain and his drow. Most crews round about these waters would have fallen to pack of raiders about half this size. We'll be working extra shifts tho, what with the losses and injuries we sustained.

Des opens his eyes, but just lays on the deck. Staring into the sky wondering, "Is this what my life is going to be like".
After a good deal of time he takes stock of his body, and notice some one was kind enough to provide first aid. He sits up in pain, but not an extreme amount. He takes his wine skin and takes a pull. Then gets up to see if there was any damage to the ship.
Knowing there's nothing he can really do in this state, he goes to his cabin to sleeps.

Thoyoitu "The Tenguin" Choco-ku |

"Thank you. I'm glad to see everyone alright. Everyone, take stock of our supplies. Make sure nothing was lost. Then rest up. I'll stay here to take care of Kraw. Lady Rosalyn, you'd best see what the others are up to. I also imagine you have much to write about. I'll be here if the others request my presence. Thanks for your help." Thoyoitu works on moving Kraw the Tengu to an empty cot and stays by his side.

GM Pyros |

Des, as you start walking to Captain stops you Oye, you look all tore up there pal! The hell happened here?
Several members of the crew look up to see what your group says. You can try to embellish or make the tale more interesting. You have a chance to influence the crew as a whole in your recounting, making wither a Bluff, Intimidate, or Perform check. Whoever wants to roll may, and roll whatever skill you want, giving me what you are telling, either embellishing to make yourselves look better, telling about how you ripped apart the enemy, makign the battle more epic, whatever you would say.

![]() |

Bluff: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
It was quite the rumble. Those slimy bastards fight ya dirty by knocking ya on your arse. But not old Des, I was bobbing and weaving with the best of them. Had a handy explosive up my sleeve that knocked a swath of them out.
Pulls up his sleeve to crank the wrist launcher back to ready position. Looks down thoughtfully before turning up with a knowing glean in his eye that says "then the shit went down".
Then I saw poor Victor, that little Ratfolk gent, getting smothered by an Octopus. Pulls open his coat to reveal the double set of Daggers strapped to his sides. I was readying the duke and duchess here to make us some here sashimi, when five of those buggers pounced me. It was all a tangled of tentacles and teeth. Spearheads gutting me over and over, my blood spilling across the deck mixing with theirs, but I Fought on. It gave the others enough time to flay the bastards. You saw that wolf tear into those buggers, and of course the fine axemanship of that fine Nagaji fella, Pyre.
Des points to Goandi and Pyre as prime examples of bravery. Also, the only ones on deck I think. Takes another swig of his wine skin, lets a little dribble on his clothes.
Now I think earned some more wine and long rest. Call me if you need me. Walks away with all the swagger he can muster.

Lady Rosalyn Aanya_Luminuss |

"You know he did not do to badly there, some lights and they where mostly down for use to kill, not bad at all realy"
Rosalyn says, she's bending down making a sketch of one of the sea critters that attacked them. She gets back up and nods to a crew men says to them.
"thank you, you can throw it over the side now I'm done"
